Hunter was rushing as fast as he could, running through the corridors, and eventually charging through the doors to the abandoned toilets. He was anxious, afraid, and most of all anticipating what was to occur next. He just came from potions class, and he had made a mistake that he just couldn't bear with. Hunter, making mistakes in potions? It was something he couldn't handle, something he just couldn't cope with or understand from. His surprise from a slight mistake was overwhelming his head, but his mistake was the main problem he should be worried about.

What was the mistake? What was it? Hunter himself couldn't quite recall exactly what it was, what he did know is he consumed something poisonous. He felt it the moment he swallowed... whatever it was. It took a few seconds, but he felt the effects as soon as he left the Dungeons. The feeling wasn't getting any better as he stood within this musty and isolated place. It took him a moment to recollect his mind; he was having trouble concentrating a bit. Hunter wondered if he could wait out whatever it was he ate? What was it that he ate? He himself wondered, but the smell and dripping of broken faucets merely made it hard for him to concentrate even more. This location was good to be alone, but it was incredibly hard to concentrate since it was technically a room that served as waste disposal.

He walked over to some of the mirrors to which most were broken. Broken, couldn't see his eyes. Broken, couldn't see his entire face. Eventually, he found one mirror barely intact. His skin was the same color, eyes were also the same color. He looked closely, attempting to think back to the very few, few teachings his mother had taught him about sicknesses. At first, some would assume Hunter was overexaggerating; however, this wasn't his first time dealing with poisons. He recalls accidentally touching and more accidental consumptions of poisons back at home. The only one he could recall was messing with was streelers, because that was his first time dealing with magical poison. It eventually became a fear of his to deal with streelers. Hunter knew he didn't mess with or see any streeler shells in potions class, he didn't even know where to locate such an item in the potions room.

Obviously, he should go to the Hospital Wing as soon as possible, but Hunter really didn't want to go out due to his pride. The shock of making a mistake when brewing was one he really couldn't stand to admit to others. It was illogical, but it was something he was having trouble grasping with.

Hunter began to calm down, nothing seemed to be acting up too badly. With some deep breaths and positive thoughts, he began to feel better. Perhaps... it was a dud? Maybe what he consumed wasn't too bad. Hunter began to calm down a bit, and gave out a sigh of relief. However, within the instant he relieved himself he kneeled to the ground. One hand clasping his stomach, and one still holding onto the partially chipped sink he was standing in front of. Face now pointing at the ground with an expression of pain and displeasure, Hunter could only hope that time would allow the feeling to resolve... or maybe he needed a miracle from another student? (WC 509).

"Hey Habib, I heard you and Hildegard got detention together!" Avery quipped, following his housemate down the corridor after class. Whether Habib wanted him there or not, Avery didn't know. In truth, the small boy never gave it a second thought -- could anyone possibly not enjoy his presence? Didn't everybody love this friendly, smiling face? Our dear boy often thought quite highly of himself in this regard, exaggerated or not.

Somehow, news of Hildegard and Habib getting into a fight and then detention with Prefect Koko Riddle had traveled down the grapevine. And, whenever there was any news about @Hildegard Schneider, Avery Chen had to know. It was the desperate need to know what your enemies were up to. Avery didn't always poke his nose into other peoples' business, but when he got the itch, the boy was relentless in his pursuit. "I heard that you broke her other leg in a fight. Is that true? And that Koko had to tear you guys apart on the floor, because the fight was just that intense." The small boy searched his classmate's face eagerly, looking for any sign of emotion, or any additional information about the fight. "What did she do to annoy you? Do you regret getting detention, or was the fight worth it?"

Before he knew it, Avery found himself approaching the Abandoned Toilets as he walked alongside Habib. He looked around in confusion, as if surprised to find himself in this dilapidated place with no agenda. Didn't people come here when they were up to no good, and didn't want to be found? Wasn't this the best place to cry in isolation, without fear as to whether anyone heard your wails, since they might just assume it was Moaning Myrtle?

However, before he could ask Habib why they were there, his eye caught sight of Hunter doubled over in front of a sink. Avery glanced at Habib, wondering if he, too, registered the fact that this was the unfortunate boy who got hit twice down there during their house points celebration party in December. From what he knew, Hunter seemed to be a rather reasonable bloke -- his only fault was that (i) he was nice to the wrong person and (ii) antagonized the wrong person in one single stroke that day. Somehow, Avery couldn't help but feel his heart go out to the unfortunate boy. He'd been meaning to approach the Ravenclaw boy just to check up on him, but couldn't find the opportunity to do so as winter break came along.

"Hey, you're Hunter, right?" he asked, walking up to the boy. "Is something wrong? You don't look too great -- I mean, you're dapper as always, but are you feeling unwell?" Perhaps there was something that they could help with? Not that Avery knew the first thing about health or illnesses, but maybe there was something that they could do?

Habib was not happy first of all the day had started with the universe trying to remind him he was a midget and not to get too big for his britches with everything he needed being conveniently placed just out of his reach when he went to the bathroom some random older Slytherin had ever so kindly rearranged everyone's toiletries including his own and while most people weren't annoyed by this as it didn't make it much harder to get their things this anonymous Slytherin had put Habib's toiletries with the rest of the first year's ones assuming that he could reach as high as everyone else for god's sake he was shorter than Avery bloody Chen why did they assume he was as tall as every other Slytherin his age. After that was done he went off to his classes and he needed to jump to get his potion ingredients and everything else necessary for the class he would have to learn the wingardium leviosa charm soon because this was just getting ridiculous. So After a long day of being stifled he just wanted to relax in the chamber may continue reading the oddessy book his father had sent on his request but it seemed the universe was not done with him yet that would be too easy he was thwarted by Avery Chen a tall boy at least in Habib's eyes he was tall who was rather talkative and seemed to be fun to be around and most of the time Habib would be more than happy to talk to him but today was not the day. First, he tried to avoid him doubling back and taking different routes to shake him off but the boy persistently continued to follow him but then he started talking about none other than his detention with Hildegard 'Zeus kill me now' Habib thought bitterly. He turned to the boy who had now moved on to mention he had broken Hildegard's leg in the fight oh how Habib wished it had gone down like that but he had himself from certain points of view lost the fight he was down on the ground covered in snot and on the brink of collapse. He said, "Will you shut up I am not in the mood to deal with this right now while yes Prefect Riddle had to take us apart it happened a lot differently than whatever rumour you heard who even told you that there was like no one else in the common room beside us and prefect riddle." In their argument, they had somehow made their way to the abandoned toilets great now he would have to explain to Avery why he had come here but as they walked in they saw a boy hunched over the sink he was wearing Ravenclaw robes but the face was familiar this was the same boy from the house point celebration party Harold no Hunter yes that was it what was he doing here. Habib shrugged whatever it was it wasn't his problem he didn't know the boy and wasn't going to waste his time on this kid but of course, Avery decided to walk up to the boy and help him great now he couldn't leave without ruining his relationship with what seemed to be one of the more influential Slytherins at least among the first years so moving closer Habib got a better look at the boy. What he saw was not good he looked exhausted evidence of fatigue all over his face Habib saw Avery try to talk to him what did he think talking would do now rolling his eyes he attempted with his feeble strength to lift Hunter. Action Roll taken Result = 15 Habib somehow succeded in carrying Hunter all the way to the door of the abandoned toilets up until his feeble arms couldn't continue and he dropped Hunter 'uh, oh'.

Hunter could feel more exhaustion overwhelming his body, perhaps his spirit as well. Well even without a body, he just needs to focus a bit more. Alright, he just needed to think a bit more. Suddenly he felt his body become picked up, was this how someone felt when they lose consciousness? Eventually, he looked around a bit and could see the other two students: Avery Chen, and... the other student was actually slightly unfamiliar. Perhaps he's seen him somewhere, but where? "No, don't get off task yet, try and clear your head."

Eventually, he felt his body continue to be brought towards the exiting door of the abandoned toilets. He was close, but eventually, he felt his body fall to the ground and slumped against a door on one of the abandoning doors: "Small figure, but rather strong. Reminds of that Juniper Kelly girl. You seem like a rather sophisticated Slytherin. Have we met? Avery! Who's your friend? And why are you both her-"

Hunter let out a rather upsetting cough. His skin was getting a bit paler and sweat was certainly precipitating at a fast rate all over his face: "C'mon now, just FOCUS!" his voice was extremely loud, it was honestly the first time Hunter probably yelled in his life. It echoed through the room rather much, "Just focus Hunter. Avery Chen, an interesting fellow of Asian-descent. Placed in house Slytherin and same age as me. If I recall he tends to hold a grudge based on his accounts of stating he was sour when Ravenclaw beat Slytherin in a quidditch match. He organized the feast and seemed to have enjoyed the sight of violence. Wait, Habib, that's his name! Habib, don't know his last name though. Also a unique Slytherin capable of picking me up. Either he picked me up cause I was somehow in his way, or he was trying to be helpful. Two Slytherins in the Abandoned Toilets... are the rumors true? " Hunter looked up for a moment, "Ah, apologies. Did I say that out loud? Trying to focus a bit, recalling what I can. Ignore my thoughts if you wish... NO, WAIT! Avery and... Habib: Flobberworm mucus, Dittany, Potato Peelings, and..." Hunter paused, "What... and what?" he looked over at Habib and Avery as if waiting to see if they knew something from Hunter's rambling.

Despite Avery's eagerness to learn more about the fight between Hildegard and Habib, Habib seemed pre-occupied with something else as he strode along at a deliberate pace. So, the fight happened differently from the rumor that he'd heard? "Oh, I just heard it from somewhere," he answered, musing with a small grin. "Some people I know really like to share tea, so, y'know." How could the fight have happened differently? Maybe Habib did even worse than merely break Hilda's other leg. Maybe he broke them both? That must be it. "But don't worry, mate, I'll keep your secret a secret," he winked and whispered dramatically, as if one of the paintings would hear.

Before Avery could figure out what was wrong with Hunter, Habib picked the boy up as if he was an unwilling knight in shining armor. How he managed that feat, Avery didn't know. Habib was even shorter than Avery, after all, if that was even possible. "Uhh, where are you --" but he didn't have to ask, since Habib dropped the poor boy several steps later. Avery winced.

He stared as Hunter spurted a bunch of words, supposedly to describe Habib, asking Avery a question, then cutting himself off in one breath by yelling loudly. "Yo, Habib, did you just break him?" Avery asked tentatively, blinking in confusion and surprise. "Oh my gosh, you broke him," he repeated, as if Hunter were a record-player.

Avery continued to listen as Hunter rambled on, as if brain-dumping everything he knew about the two of them. Avery 'enjoyed the sight of violence'? At that, the small boy couldn't help but chuckle as he remembered the sweet image of Juniper head-butting Hildegard in the face. Man, was this boy crazy and interesting. He didn't think Hunter was the type to ramble, considering how reserved and focused he was in class, but this was something else. "Y'know, I almost prefer the broken version," he concluded to Habib.

Two Slytherins in the Abandoned Toilets? "Wait, what do you mean by that? Is there a cult in here or something?" Avery chuckled at his own joke, since he had never heard of the Chamber of Secrets as a muggle-born. Hunter's ramblings were getting stranger and stranger, but there were some things he seemed to know that Avery didn't. In his excitement and interest, he hardly remembered the fact that Hunter might be ill.

Another thing crossed his mind. Wasn't Hunter potions partners with Vale, recently? He'd seen the two of them chattering and laughing maniacally (at least, on Vale's part) during potions class... what was all that about? "Oh hey, Hunter! What do you think of @Vale Ashwood, by the way? Creepy or fun? Tell it like it is!" he urged the Ravenclaw boy, eager to learn more about what Hunter thought of his friend and Fall Ball date, and take advantage of the fact that Hunter was actually chatty today.

The boy's rambling unsettled Habib they had started rather strange whatever had happened to the boy was affecting him mentally he was rambling as if he had lost his filter Habib raised an eyebrow at the comment on his height "hey I'm not that short you just wait until I hit my growth spurt then you'll regret you ever said such a thing."
"No, at least I hope not it looks like he was like this before we came." Habib snapped back at the taller boy. Hunter continued to infodump everything he knew about them when he got to Avery enjoying violence Habib disagreed while he didn't know much about the boy from what he had seen he didn't seem like that kind of person perhaps he was vindictive sure but enjoying Violence that was more of a Vale Ashwood route."Listen I don't care if you prefer him as a mince pie we need to get him to a professor," but Habib couldn't help but snicker it was rather funny seeing the rather composed Ravenclaw boy like this then he thought about what would happen if Ming started talking like. wow, Habib would probably die of laughter "But in all seriousness, we need to get him to someone who at least knows a healing spell." Habib was not doing this to help Hunter Habib knew that this would look pretty bad if he found a schoolmate in need of help and didn't bother to do anything not to mention to stay in Avery's good graces. Then he thought of a solution he whipped out his wand and cast "PERRICULUM"Action roll taken 1d20 + 9=25 Success Red sparks shot out of his wand and into the corridor Habib was hoping that some student was walking past this part of the school around this time surely someone could help them. After he had cast the spell he turned over to Avery and Hunter getting closer to the latter he felt his hands they were sweaty and clammy Habib took off his coat and wrapped it around the boy but then his ramblings had turned to why He and Avery had been here in the first place 'what rumours does he know about the chamber of secrets. NO, he can't there wouldn't be anybody in Ravenclaw stupid enough to announce that if so then oh no oh no that could mean they would blabber about himself this could ruin everything his family had been working for.' they had been working hard to elevate their family to the status of Ancient and Most Noble a feat they had only recently achieved and were only just now gaining the support of the wizengamot due to his mothers work in magizooology. They had had to work this hard because the bigots of the wizengamot couldn't accept a foreigner in their ranks if word got out that the heir to Acropolis was a parselmouth it would destroy their reputation and force them into exile. Habib took a deep breath he couldn't break down in front of them yet he couldn't trust Avery he was a blabbermouth and he certainly couldn't trust Hunter so he would have to use both boys to his advantage he would use Avery's connections to control the info that would flow into the Slytherin student body while also figuring out Hunter's source of information by holding this over him as a way to get him under his thumb composing himself Habib told Avery and Hunter that all they had to do now was wait.

Hunter was beginning to calm down a bit more, especially since he was no longer alone within the Abandoned toilets. His mind was feeling more clear, but a rather unsettling headache was creeping its way into his head. He needed a bit more time to think, but his anxiety spiked a little when he saw a red glow emanate from the bathrooms door after Habib had opened it for a bit. Hunter slowed down his breathing a bit more, "Honestly I'd prefer if we didn't get any prefects or teachers involved," Hunter attempted to push himself upward and stand, but his legs felt rather weak and his stomach churned with gruesome pain. He fell back to sitting with his back against one of the stalls doors.

"Look, I accidentally ate something poisonous. Me being "broken" was most likely just me having a slight anxiety attac-" Hunter immediately placed his hand over his mouth and his face went downward. He felt too weak to get up and head towards a broken toilet, and he didn't want to get any puke on his robes. It took a lot of mental strength to not vomit, but instead swallow the contents that arose from his stomach.

A loud *gulp* could be heard that echoed through the room, Hunter straightened his posture and let out a sigh of pain and relief, "My stomach hurts badly, and I'm really thirsty" a few pants came from Hunter, he honestly wished this nightmare would end: "If...*pant*... you both could help carry me on your shoulders to the potions room, we could craft an antidote. If a short snake could carry me, then I'm sure you both could," It was hard to tell if Hunter mentioning Habib's height was on purpose or an accident. Nonetheless, he was trying hard to communicate with the two of them.

Hunter's thoughts went back to Vale Ashwood when Avery brought her up, "If you're implying another Slytherin somehow tricked me into eating a poison, I can promise you it wasn't Ms.Ashwood. As for our conversation, it was rather interesting, since your her friend she'll eventually tell you about it," Hunter fell over grasping his stomach. His forehead touched the disgusting floor of the abandoned toilets. He let out a pain-filled groan: "Aghhhh! Look, I'm not gonna ask again. If neither of you can figure it out then perhaps Ms.Ashwood can. Flobberworm mucus, Dittany, Potato Peelings, and what? It's... it's a recipe, I can't remember the last ingredient as of right now"

While Avery was eager to watch Hunter in amusement, Habib decided to be responsible. A shower of red sparks caught the Chinese-British boy's attention, and he almost sighed with just the slightest hint of disappointment. They hardly had the time to address Avery's question about whether there was a cult in the abandoned toilets -- what else could Hunter possibly know that Avery didn't? From his observation, it seemed that Habib was somewhat anxious about something, but Avery didn't know what it was. For some reason, his housemate seemed eager to get Hunter fixed in a jiffy, and seemed to watch the Ravenclaw boy with a wary gaze. Although Avery was curious, he didn't pry. He merely stashed away the observation for a later date.

At that point, Hunter seemed to regain his senses a bit more. His attempt to stand only left him falling back down to the floor, clutching his stomach. He didn't want any teachers or prefects involved? He ate something poisonous by accident? Avery frowned at the idea. Why wouldn't he want to alert any staff members if he had eaten something poisonous, accidental or not? "Are you sure?" Avery asked, finally drawn back to his concern for Hunter now that he seemed to be in obvious pain rather than simply delirious and chatty. "Wouldn't it be worse to die from poisoning than to get detention? Or to get detention than to go to the Hospital Wing?" He honestly felt that the Ravenclaw should get his priorities right, unless there was something deeper and darker that he was hiding.

As Habib put his coat around Hunter, Avery fumbled inside his bag to pull out a bottle of water. "Here, drink this and see if you feel better if you're thirsty," he offered. However, his mind soon turned back to what Hunter might be hiding, and what to do next if Hunter absolutely did not want to go to a professor, a prefect, or the hospital wing. Instead, he seemed to want to get some items from the potions classroom, which would mean detention if they were caught? Whatever secret it was that Hunter was hiding, it must be important, deadly, or both. Or maybe Hunter was just too stuck-up and proud.

He listened as Hunter explained that Vale couldn't have poisoned him. "Oh, no, that isn't what I'm implying!" he reassured Hunter hastily. "She wouldn't have tricked you into eating something poisonous if she knew it was poisonous! But I guess I wouldn't put it beyond her to encourage you to eat something she didn't know was poisonous, just because it didn't make her sick, you know?" Here, Avery paused and thought about it for a second. He wouldn't be surprised if Vale was immune to a lot of things by now, considering how often she was seen putting random things into her mouth. At Hunter's suggestion that he ask Vale about the interesting conversation that they had during potions class, Avery made a mental note to do so when he saw Vale later.

A pain-filled groan brought Avery back to the present, and he quickly bent down to try to hold Hunter back up. "Hunter, just tell us if you remember what happened?" he urged the Ravenclaw boy. "If we're going to break into the potions classroom, at least tell us how you got ill?" How Hunter answered his question would determine whether Avery would help him brew an antidote or drag him to the Hospital Wing whether he liked it or not. Though, Hunter didn't need to know that.

Avery considered the list of ingredients Hunter spurted out. "Umm, some recipe to do with a healing paste? I have no idea what you're talking about -- I don't memorize my notes. Habib, do you know?" Was Hunter actually still mad? Avery couldn't tell.

Hunter tried his best to listen to Avery's words, but the pain in his stomach grew with each second. He needed to control his breathing, perhaps it was the right idea to head to the Hospital Wing; no, Hunter wouldn't consider it. He's dealt with poisons before, and he's certainly experienced worse.

Eventually, the pain faded slightly but was ravaging Hunter's insides. "Healing Paste?" Hunter thought. He tried his best to think back, and again he repeated the words in a quiet tone to focus a bit more: "Flobberworm mucus... Dittany... Potato Peelings..." He could feel the exhaustion coming over him. As if the color itself was fading from his skin, he began to grow paler and paler, "Healing... healing..." and with that, he looked over at Avery with a weakened smile, "Mr.Chen, you are a rather smart fellow I must say..." Hunter recalled what it was he had eaten. His tone was mild, weak, and quiet. As if in a realization of defeat or shame, Hunter finally remembered what it was: "Doxy eggs... I got tricked into eating doxy eggs."

The thought of eating the eggs of a doxy made Hunter reel back, this time he didn't have a choice. Powering through the pain, he forced one of the broken stall doors opened and stumbled to finally vomit within one of the broken toilets. The smell protruding from the toilet before Hunter approached it was already revolting enough, but he felt more relieved to finally retch only part of what was causing the deep pain within him. A couple of minutes went by with Hunter slouched over one of the abandoned toilets with a horrific echo bouncing on the walls.

Eventually, he was found slouched against the stall wall, looking like a complete mess. He wasn't on the floor slouching but was standing this time. It seems the long echoing purge he had, relieved him of some pain within. Still looking rather pale, with shaky legs and unkempt hair, Hunter looked like death paid him a visit.

"I'm... sorry" were the only weak words that escaped from his lips. He began to approach the door exiting the abandoned toilets. He knew what the poison was now, he just needed to get back to the Dungeons and brew an antidote. As he approached the door, it could be seen he was experiencing a lack of eye coordination a balance. His composure was similar to that of a drunken child.

Habib would let the other boys talk about potions because the thought of harvesting creatures for parts against their will made him sick, which was why he disliked potions class in general. Habib looked outside once more to see if anyone had come to visit, but there was no one there. In Greek, Habib cursed. When he poked his head back in, he overheard Hunter complain about being duped into eating doxy eggs. Of course, he had to have been duped into eating doxy eggs. After the boy had finished with his jacket, Habib would have to wash it. Then Hunter dashed into a bathroom stall, and a loud retch echoed throughout the room; yep, he'd need to wash his jacket now. There was no time to waste. Strength was required, so an action roll was taken, and the result was a 19-success roll. The mysterious strength seemed to bless Habib once more as he was able to pick up Hunter and carry him out of there, but the question of whether they would be able to make it to the Hospital wing with Habib's stamina remained. Habib had Hunter outside the abandoned toilets, away from Avery, and yelled in there "Avery, please come over here RIGHT NOW. I need your help in getting this boy to the infirmary as soon as possible."
