Happy Birthday Simon!
Simon Kincaid would be turning 13 tomorrow, so Clair (with help from Haley) had set up the room to be perfect for Simon's party.Date; Feb. 13th 2022
She had gotten Table clothes in Simon's favourite colours; Navy blue and Gold.
She had owned her Sister to send them to her, and they had arrived just in time, neatly folded and everything.
Belle had also sent some balloons in blue and gold colours, she had also sent some numbers (a three and a one, one in blue one in gold) Belle had also sent dishes that were blue, a few had broke on the trip to Hogwarts, but most of them were good.
Next the Ravenclaw girl set up the balloons, for this she strung them together in a arch, so that when Simon (and the guests) walked in they would feel like princes, and princess, she next set up a few foldable tables that she had found laying around somewhere.
Then she layed the table cloths down, setting a few balloons on each table, to look pretty.
Next she set up a big table, (made up of four folding tables) she then set out a stack of plates and then set up the food, most of the food had been sent from Belle, or gotten from (100% not sneaking into Hogsmeade and the kitchens) other places.
After all of this she set up some chairs, again she had found these laying on the ground near the tables.
After this she stood back and looked at the party now it just needed a few more things.
But they would be fixed soon.
A few days prior Clair had made tons of hand written notes, all different, inviting the millions of people that Simon knew to the party, she had been given ideas from other people too,but of course she still might have still missed some.

Happy Birthday Simon!
AngelFyre was excited and nervous about Simon's birthday party. It of course would have to be in the Rehearsal Room of all places, but it was probably for the best. Tonight would be the night that would rip her from her little fantasy world and would provide the impetus to get her back on track. It would be hard, but necessary. She thought of it much as one would rip a band-aid off; do it quickly and decisively, and it hurts for only a little while.
The band-aid to be ripped off would be finally seeing Simon with his girlfriend. That would be the final reset she needed, and she had been steeling herself for it all day. You can do this, AF. You really can..
She found herself standing outside the door, only this time Simon was not in there playing his beautiful composition. Stop it, AF. She took a deep breath, cupped his birthday present in her hand, and walked into the room.
It looked beautiful. Clair and Simon's girlfriend had done a magnificent job decorating. "Hello. Anyone here?" she asked as she walked over and set her present on the table.
The gift tag simply said, For the boy who LOVES dragons. ~AF

Happy Birthday Simon!
When Winter heard of the party for Simon she was extremely excited and went off quickly to gather her presents, which she had already prepared prior to his birthday after learning how close it was. As she had done with all her presents she sent out an owl to ask her aunt to use her allowance money to buy specific items and this time being just a few items she was sure Simon was going to love!

Winter found a small, perfect sized, navy blue gift bag that she chose for this occasion, she carefully placed her gifts down into the bottom of the bag before stuffing the top of it with yellow sparkly tissue paper before picking it up by its string handles and making her way to the rehearsal room for the party. She heard no noise coming from inside of the room and so she entered slowly making little to no noise. As she turned the corner she jumped, not expecting anyone to have been there.
"H-hey Angelfyre! Are we early..?" she made her way over, setting her present on the same table, beside the one brought here by Simon's other friend. The tag hung from the handle of the bag with the words 'for the birthday boy! -Your dhampir friend' Winter was confused and yet if another was here she had to have been in the right place, besides it was well decorated for a party! "How are you today? I'm awfully excited, I haven't been to a friend's birthday party in years-!" she was sure not many could relate but either way, she spoke her mind as she admired her surroundings.

Haley couldn't believe how quickly the time had flown by again. It felt like only yesterday that she had helped with Simon's last birthday party. This time Clair, a friend of Simon's, approached her and asked if Haley wanted to help. Of course Haley agreed with a big smile, she loved the fact that Simon had such great friends who organised a party for him and thought of Haley and involved her even if they didn't know each other.
The 13th of February, a day before Simon's birthday - Organisationally, it could be difficult to have a birthday on Valentine's Day, especially at Hogwarts, as the professors were always coming up with something for all the lovebirds. But who said you couldn't pre-celebrate a birthday either? Besides, it was a Sunday and so they had the day off, could prepare everything and the guests didn't have the stress of school either. And so Haley got up comfortably in the morning, packed the most important things in a bag, put on a green dress, tied her long red hair in a high braid and let a few strands hang at the edge of her face and went to the rehearsal room to help Clair.
Once there Clair had already started to spread out the table clothes, "Hey Clair! Wow they look great!" the gryffindor girl enthused and grabbed the other end to help Clair. The colours were in Simon's favourite colours and it reminded her that she had a homemade banner for Simon. She had to grin at the thought of how it had taken her hours to make, it was actually for Simon's last birthday party but unfortunately that didn't go as planned and Simon didn't turn up. Well, then the beautiful piece had a chance to be seen this year. "Oh, that reminds me," Haley began to speak as she rummaged in her bag, "That I have this with me, in matching colours." Laughing, she grabbed two chairs and went to a wall to put it up. Carefully she climbed onto the chairs and tried to attach the banner as far up as possible, next she grabbed a free table and placed it centrally underneath. There the guests would be able to place their gifts and so did Haley. Carefully she pulled the wrapped gift from her bag and placed it on the table.
In the meantime Clair had made a wonderful arch out of balloons and prepared a food table. "Wow Clair!" Haley couldn't help but marvel. "It looks perfect." Haley smiled and walked over to the food table, "And delicious!" She reached into her bag again and pulled out a box of lemondrops and placed them on the table. Once again time flew by but they had done a great job and apart from a few minor things the room was ready to receive the guests.
After a few minutes, the house elves brought some water, mainly for Simon and a large glass punch bowl with a rather sweet punch for the guests. Haley had asked the house elves to do her a small favour a few days ago, as she had done a few times before, and again they were so cordial and helped her. "Thank you so so so much!" Haley thanked them a few times before the elves disappeared again.
The two girls had done it, they were finally finished and satisfied Haley looked around the room. "Great job!" she directed at Claire, giving a thumbs up. She walked over to the table with the presents, lifted the tablecloth that went all the way to the floor and was digging under it to stow her bag when she suddenly heard someone. Carefully she lifted the tablecloth and could see two legs. "Yes. Down here." the redhead giggled and came back out from under the table. Haley stood up, patted her legs and grinned broadly at the unknown. "Hey, I'm Haley!" she introduced herself to the blonde girl.

Simultaneously, AngelFyre heard her name called out from behind as she also heard someone on the floor, in front of her, beneath the far side of the gift table, say, "Yes. Down here," followed very quickly by a beautiful girl in a gorgeous green dress with lovely red hair pop up, giggling a little infectiously, while introducing herself. "Hey, I'm Haley."
And just like that, she was now face to face with the red head from the broom race. AngelFyre hoped her smile was as friendly as she truly meant for it to be. And she did mean to be friendly, but as this moment was sprung on her somewhat, she was taking a lot in. She was primarily aware of how her legs had suddenly seemed to turn to Jello-O and were threatening to give out on her. Collapsing is NOT an option!!
"Oh! My goodness," she said laughing, just a little surprised. "You rather popped up there like a jack-in-the-box. Hello, Haley. It is very nice to finally meet you. I am AngelFyre, but you may call me AF if you wish, most everyone does." Most everyone but him, she thought, and she found she had to swallow hard to keep her eyes from watering.
And just then, she turned to see and hear a very excited Winter approaching them both, holding a beautiful navy blue bag with sparkly gold tissue paper in her hands. It looked just lovely. "Hi, Winter! So glad to see you! No, I do not believe we are early.... well, not too early anyway. Your gift bag looks fabulous. Almost too pretty to unwrap."
Then turning back to Haley, smiling broadly with an enthusiasm she really did not feel, AngelFyre asked, "Is there anything I can do to help? I seem to be dressed more appropriately for crawling around on the floor than you are in that snazzy dress." Then making a sweeping gesture, she added, The room looks magnificent, by the way. You and Clair really outdid yourselves. Simon will be just thrilled."
Already AngelFyre wanted nothing more than to flee from this room and curl up in her badger den and just cry. It was going to be a long evening.

With Haley's help everything had gone smooth, when she pulled out the banner Clair smiled "Wow that is amazing!" She said, pointed at the banner,Outfit; X
Well time flew by and soon Angelfyre came in, and then Winter, Clair came over a few moments after they came in, "Hi! Welcome! You both look amazing!"
Clair herself had put on a dark blue/black dress, and then she had also gotten a girl in her common room to help her with her hair, which was a in a braided Bun the Ravenclaw girl was not sure if she had outdone herself, normally for a party, Clair would stick on a dress, pull up her hair into braid or messy bun and be happy.
Yet this was not Just any party, this was Simon's party, a party for her best friend, then she remembered her gift she had for him, which is had set off to the side while she and Haley set up.
The gift was simple, well it was a interchangeable gift, it had two parts, which Clair had requested Belle send, Clair had bought the gift after Simon had left over Winter break, she had gotten it for him from a store nearby her home.
It was a Necklace that had a bible verse on it, she was not sure why, but that one had jumped at her, and then the second part was a mini
Bible one that fit behind the pendent, Simon could take the pendant off or keep it on, he could also add the mini bible (which had words that you could read) on the chain.
She had placed these in a box, and the wrapped the box in blue paper with gold trim, being a Ravenclaw made it easy to find blue, almost every Ravenclaw in her dorm had blue paper.
She set the gift with the others, and then set the note on the gift it simply said; For Simon, from Clair F.

Smiling widely at Clair, and noting how particularly beautiful she looked in her stunning dress, and most especially with her hair up in the fashionable bun, AngelFyre now felt completely out of place in her comfy sweater, scarf, and cut jeans. Do I get any points for choosing the right colors? she thought to herself. No? Did not think so. " Shame on you!", she could hear her Grandma Ruth saying to her. "Just because you live on a farm doesn't mean we raised you to be a country bumpkin."
Sighing, AngelFyre walked over to Winter and told her she was going back down to Badger Bungalow to do a quick change into something apparently more appropriate for a party. "If I am not back in 20 minutes, let loose the hounds!" And the thought that it would be a blessing right at this moment if said hounds went for her throat brought a wry chuckle from deep within. Yeah, she definitely needed to get out of here for a few minutes.
After excusing herself temporarily, she hurried out of the room and into the corridor. Leaning against the wall, she felt her legs getting wobbly again. No time for this. Realizing that more people were likely on their way right now, possibly even Simon himself, AngelFyre knew she needed to hurry. The last thing she wanted to do was to run into Simon on his way to his party.
So she turned and she ran in the direction of the stairs, praying they would not choose this time to move with no rhyme or reason and further delay and frustrate an already flustered AngelFyre.

The last time Haley Rose had asked to meet Simon at Hogwarts, he had the misfortune of meeting her insecure and arrogant friend from Durmstrang. Simon could only assume that this time would go better.
It was nearing Valentine's Day though and it did send him into a slight panic. What if she was wanting to surprise him for it somehow? He thought back to last year where the two did a date night for each other - he had arranged an art workshop for the two of them with a Slytherin student and she had educated him about all that was St. Patrick's Day. Just in case, he slipped the bracelet he had gotten her into his pocket, just in case.
Not snazzed up and in one of his normal casual outfits of a black tshirt and jeans (which he hoped would be acceptable enough), Simon checked his hair quickly in the mirror to make sure he looked alright and began to make his way from the Hufflepuff area of the castle to the Fourth Floor where the Rehearsal Room was - one of his favorite places to be in the entire school.
On his way up the staircase, he could see AngelFyre McCubbin coming his direction, as the two were going opposite ways. "AngelFyre!" he smiled brightly, "Were you here upstaging me on the piano again?" The last time he had heard her play, she had played brilliantly. Maybe her passion for music was growing and she was taking in some more practice. "My regrets for being too late to be an audience."

Happy Birthday Simon!
Some days are golden and some days make you feel as if you are undergoing the processes that make diamonds. Today was definitely the latter for AngelFyre. As she reached the top of the staircase, she saw Simon coming up the stairs. For the first time in memory, she honestly was not glad to see him. She had to be mindful of what she said to him because his party was a surprise party. Clair and Haley had worked too hard on it for a careless word or gesture from her to ruin their surprise for him. And you do not want to ruin it for him either, AF. Be honest.
She momentarily stood still at the top, but could hear the three girls laughing loudly in the Rehearsal Room behind her, so she said, probably a little more loudly than normal, hoping they would hear her and realize he was just moments away "Simon! Hello!" She plastered on a smile and hurriedly moved about 5-6 steps down so that he could not hear them if they had missed her signal. "Yep. You caught me dead to rights. I was just practicing a bit. My Chopsticks is a little choppy," she heard herself utter the dumbest strings of words she had put together in a long while, but then she smiled wanly and wanted nothing more than to roll her eyes at that lame pun. Trust me, you missed nothing. I promise. It was mostly just a continuation of my little composition from our mee...." She stopped talking altogether. The memory was still too raw ...too precious to her to even joke about now. Maybe someday, but not today.
She swallowed hard, really hard. Hard enough he could have heard it for all she knew and then she cleared her throat. The room is free for you now, Simon. I am so sorry to rush, but I really have to go now. Big plans, you know. Huge. Have a great practice!
And just like that, she raced past him and continued on down the steps, silent tears blinding her as she went.

Her statement about Chopsticks made him smile but it faltered a little as it seemed something was wrong. AngelFyre wasn't being her usual self and while the two hadn't spent an incredible amount of time together, he had gotten the feeling that he was starting to know her well enough to know that this wasn't her normal. She seemed nervous or agitated or something. Had he done something wrong?
He was just about to offer to critique her playing again but she was rushing off, step by step, furthering herself from him. "AngelFyre, wait," he got in, wanting her to just pause for a moment. To stay a little longer.
But then she apologized for rushing and said she had to go. That she had big plans. Big plans? Huge. Maybe she had someone else to meet with. Maybe she had decided she had grown tired of him and didn't want to be in his presence anymore. Maybe it was the whole dhampir thing and shes didn't want to be around him anymore.
"...AngelFyre?!" he called out one more time, directing his voice down the staircase. "...I hope you have a nice afternoon!" and he wanted to add on that he hoped he'd see her later ... but maybe she wouldn't want that.
A little confused now, Simon turned back to go down the Fourth Floor Corridor and entered the Rehearsal Room where he'd find more than just Haley Rose waiting for him.
