Potions. A class that third year Slytherin's have with third yeat Ravenclaw's. The one house that Henry didn't have any friends from. Choosing a desk in the back, his confidence was low without Loki. His orange feline. The teen watched with a blue gaze as the class started. Listening as he took notes and drew a few minor sketches.
The teen didn't wear his uniform that day, finding it a bit more stuffy then usual. As the class went on, the teen paid a attention occasionally raising his answer and giving the correct answer. However, each time he did the teen quickly regretted it reasons why he only rose his hand twice that day.
The teen enjoyed potions, a class that required book knowledge and hands in knowledge. It was fun to do at times. Bkue gaze set around, watching students chatting and smiling with their friends. The teen sort of wished he had that class with his friends. Someone to talk to and parther up with.
Brew Grand Pepperup Potion with a partner. Henry gazed around, he wasn't sure anyone wanted to be his parther. Taking a breath, Henry set up the cauldron on his desk and perpared to brew the potion alone.

Potion class has never been Alexis’s favourite, she favoured classes that involved more spells and incantations. The classroom itself was not helping either, the walls were dark and gloomy, and there’s no way for sunlight. She very much preferred the airy atmosphere in the Ravenclaw tower over this.
Grand Pepperup Potion…
Alexis read the words written in her book along with the notes she took during the lecture, she moved her gaze around the dimly lit classroom as soon as the professor finished. Find a partner to work with.
She considered those from Ravenclaw first as usual, she recognised all the faces. She has seen them all enough in the common room or some classes, everyone seems to be either chatting with each other animatedly or starting the brewing process. She’s not close with anyone in this class and ones she has talked to before has partnered up with someone already. The girl shrugged, she had no problems making new friends anyway.
Alexis turned to the side where most Slytherin students were seated, as she expected, most of them already had a partner. Except one person. The boy was preparing his cauldron alone. She tilt her head slightly as she recalled the professor’s earlier instruction to find a partner, she was sure the Slytherin didn’t even try. She walked towards him and came to a stop in front of his desk. With a friendly smile on her face, she asked, “Hello, do you have a partner?”

Henry didn't wear his uniform that day, a part of him didn't feel in the mood to bare the coloes of green and sliver. To have the robes trip underneath his feet as he walked. Choosing for a slightly for casual outfit with long sleeves to hide the scars, the teen knew he could get in trouble but didn't mind if he did.
Setting up the cauldron, Henry placed it in the middle of the desk. Turning on the heat at the bottom, the teen watch as a flame flicker and danced in the coldness of the dungeons. Nodding to his work, Henry turned to his potions book. Pages of the books fades and stained with a few tears, after all it once belonged to his older brother so the years will take a toll on the condition.
Henry turned the pages, looking for rhe potion they were suppose to be brewing when a voice distracted him. Henry looked up, his gaze flickering to a girl. A ravenclaw. Standing by his desk asking a question. The teen felt himself freeze for a moment, hnsure what to do as he studied her icy blue eyes that reflected the little light present down there and inky black hair contrasting her eyes.
"Uh, no," Henry shuttered out before shaking his bacl then leveling his eyes for the girl's as he continued"no, I don't- uh would you like to be partners?" A soft smile on his face and his blue eyes ser agaze on her. He haven't see her before but yet there was something about her that interest him.

Alexis waited patiently, her eyes surveyed the worked he had done on his desk in the meantime, he had already set up the cauldron. She wondered for a moment that maybe he already had a partner, maybe they went to grab the ingredients, but she was certain there wasn’t anyone with him.
She shook her head, there was no point in worrying about that. The girl wasn’t even sure why she cared that much, if he already had a partner then she would find someone else or work alone, neither was a problem but for some reason, she felt as if it would be.
Her hands unconsciously fiddled with the hem of her robe behind her back. She was not sure if he even heard her or not. She grimaced slightly, thinking how awkward it would be to just stood there, doing nothing but stare. That was until he finally look up and meet her eyes for the first time. Alexis was able to see his face a lot more clearly than before and she noted that they both has blue eyes, though his are different than hers, they were beautiful.
“That would be lovely.” Her smile widened, she answered before she paused, realising she hadn’t introduced herself yet. “I’m Alexis Asterion.” She said and extended her hand towards him. “Pleasure to meet you.”

Henry looked up at the girl. The teen smiled softly, her icy blue eyes seemed darker than his own pair but reflective. Reflecting the lights to create a illuminated and almosr blue glow. It is beautiful.
Henry heard hee voice, nodding evee so slightly still awkward. Not expecting another to join him or ask to he his parther, usually use to sitting alone. Working alone. The teen moved his bag off the desk, placing it on the ground besides his chair. He pushed his texbook in the middle of the desk along with the cauldron.
His ears picked up at her voice, turninf as his eyes landed on her. Her extended hand. Alexis Asterion. The teen smiled softly, a little wider as he slowly lifted his hand and moved it toward her. Taking her hand in his gasp, the teen spoke"Henry Knight, pleasure to meet you, Alexis." The teen held onto her hand, not shaking it as he looked into her eyes. Something about them just allowed one to get lost in them. Lost in thought. Lost in the moment.
Once the handshake ended, Henry pulled his hand away turning toward the cauldron and textbook. Turning the pages till he reached the steps and ingredients for grand pepperup potion. Stuttering a little, the teen pointed to the pages as he spoke"the cauldron is heated and preped, just need to get ingredients," eyes flickering over the ingredients.
Octopus tentacle. Boomshang skin. Wartcap. Mandrake
Standing, the teen kept his head a little low as his eyes mer Alexis. Smiling softly as he spoke"it says the mandrakes have to be harvested and cut, do you have earmuffs?" The teen wasn't sure why the situation was awkward. It's two students working on a potion, normal.... right?

For a brief moment when his hand touched hers, Alexis felt a warm feeling running through her body that made her instinctively want to relax. Their eyes met and there was that feeling again, she felt as if they stood there must have been minutes when in reality, it was just a few seconds before he let go. Her gaze flickered down to where their hands touch a moment ago, wondering what just happened. Her mind registered what he just told her, Henry Knight. His name was Henry.
Alexis tucked her long strand of hair behind her ear as she leaned forward to take a look at the textbook the boy placed in the middle of the desk. She was reading the list of ingredients and trying to recall the professor’s lecture earlier when Henry stood up, asking her if she had the earmuffs. Her Brian seemed to have short-circuited a little as she almost couldn’t form a word. “…Earmuffs? Right, the mandrake.” She felt her ear reddened as she internally scolded herself for her foolish display before she pointed her finger at a box sitting beside a row of small pots that had leaves sprouting from the tops. “I think the professor prepared them for us there.”
She frowned at the pots as if they had personally offended her, she really wanted that part to be over as soon as possible. Truth be told, mandrakes always manage to creeped her out, they’re loud, weird-looking, and tricky to work with. They reminded her of old and wrinkly baby except how could a baby be old and wrinkly?
The girl stood up too, “Since we both have to wear them, let’s go grab them together and get the mandrake part over with, yeah?” Alexis turned and smiled brightly at him as if she was hoping he would agree with her plan before she can feel the embarrassment washing over her again.

Henry felt his blue gaze flicker toward the girl, there was a presence about her. One that is both strange and enticing,
drawing the teenage boy closer and closer. Studying her event moment, every detail. He knew that he shouldn't be staring but a part of him couldn't help himself, quickly darting his eyes back toward the textbook pages.
Nodding toward Alexis's words, standing as he resd over the ingredients. A distraction to keep from staring at the ravenclaw. The teen looked up at the potted plants and small box, mandrakes scrimming a little in the soil. Henry wished that Alexis was right, not wanting to pull up a screaming, possibly deadly plant.
Henry felt his eyes flickered bsck over Alexis, watching her carefully as he listened. Her bright smile felt contagious, softly smiling toward the girl as he nodded. Henry feot himself brush a few strands of hair from his face as he spoke"uh- yeah sure, two heads are better than one with the mandrakes," feeling the thundering anxiety above as he flipped his potions book closer then nodded toward Alexis. Ready to follow her over to the mandrake pots.
The teen felt his gaze rest on the girl, dark ravenlike hair and bright, crystal blue eyes. Alexis. The teen couldn't help but think of Alexa, finding how strange the two names are simlair. Alexa ans Alexis, the only difference is two letters and both can be shortened to the same nickname; Alex. The teen took a breath, trying to clear his mind of Alexa and focus on Alexis. Ready to follow and help her.

Alexis couldn’t hide her amused look as she felt her nerve settled at his reply. Her previous thoughts about the mandrakes eased into nothing and was replaced by a slight excitement to start working. “I think you’re absolutely correct. Come on.” She said and gestured him to follow her, a smile never leaving her face.
She stopped in front of the box she had pointed at before, and there she found the earmuffs they needed. Quickly reaching in and picking out two, Alexis took a few seconds to inspect both earmuffs to make sure there was nothing wrong with them. She recalled the story she heard in her first year herbology class, how some unfortunate student accidentally got a defective one and actually passed out, she wasn’t sure if it’s true but she wasn’t taking any chances. Once she was done, she handed one to Henry. “Here.”
She brushed her hair out of her ears before putting the earmuffs on securely, both her hands adjusting them to make sure they were on properly. Previous echoing noises in the classroom quiet as she finished, she then turned to the row of mandrakes’ pots not far away and reached for the one closest and put it in front of both of them, already dreading the loud scream that will inevitably come.
“Do you want to do the honour or should I?” The girl turned to face Henry so he can read her lips before speaking slowly and clearly.

The girl didn't laugh or remark on his words nor awkwardness. Softly smiling toward the girl's reply, Henry nodded then stepped lightly as he followed her from the desk to the front where a line of pots sat besides a wooden box.
Once reaching the front desk, Henry looked for a knife to chop the mandrake. Picking on up and placing it between them, the teen hadn't noticed how close the two have been. Stumbling back a foot when Alexis offered a pair of earmuffs, the teen softly smiled toward the girl as he spoke"thank you." Reaching for the earmuffs, his hands brushed aginest hers. At the moment of phycial connected, the teen felt his eyes flicker from their hands to the girl's eyes. A strange yet peaceful moment.
Wishing for it to last a little while longer, Henry garbbed the earmuffs. Breaking the phycial touch. The teen placed the earmuffs over his ears, patting the flaps down tightly not wanting to faint at the sound of the scream. Carefully eyes the planted pots, he ammused that they wre only infants not completely sure they would be asked to choped something that could kill them. Cause them to faint was something he could see bur not kill.
The teen watched Alexis moved one of the pots between them, a part of him wanting to take a few steps back but he didn't. He remained by her side. His flickering from the plant that he was dreading the scream from toward Alexis, the girl wiru reflective crystal blue eyes.
Listening to her words, the teen mauled them over for a moment. Only one needed to pull it up while the otherw chopped. That would be a sufficient way and the quickest but Henry felt his eyes remain on the ravenclaw. His heary skipped a beat. His mind thinking of another way to complete this process. A slower one but it would involve the two to work together as a team.
"Together, maybe?"
Henry would allow Alexis to grab the plan first, finding a spot for his hands to grab it. If their hands thouched, he would take a breath. Softly smiling. As the moments passed.

In the brief moment their hands brushed against each other, the girl could swear there was that feeling again, the one where she felt like time has slowed and everything was quiet as if there was no one else in the room. And like a dream, it ended just as quickly as it had started. She felt her instinct telling her to look away from the cause of her strange feeling but she found herself not wanting to so she pushed through, keeping her gaze on him as she waited for his reply.
When he did answered, the girl almost couldn’t stop herself from beaming at the suggestion. She pictured what she must have looked in that moment, blue eyes brighten and a barely contained grin on her face. In the end, she nodded. “Alright.”
With a deep breath, she set her hand on the green foliage just above the dirt in the pot, their hands touched again but she found herself not minding it again all. Alexis willed herself to calm down and prepare for the scream that will come after, she turned to meet Henry’s gaze one last time before they started pulling.

The deafening scream echoed in the walls of the dungeon as the mandrake been pulled up from its pot, the girl couldn’t help but flinched back at the sound, shoulder bumped against the boy beside her. Luckily, her grip remained firm. She winced at the piercing screech, wishing for it to stop.
Carefully, they placed the mandrake onto the table below and waited for it to go dormant. The ugly baby-looking plant just keep on shrieking, she wondered if from a distance, someone could mistaken it for a real baby. She watched the wrinkly thing with a frown for a moment before turning to the boy beside her, “They just go on forever, no?” She said in an exasperated voice and what could be called a pout on her face.
