My First Friend
Delphinia had just written a letter to her father in the owlery, although she had to borrow a classmate's owl as she didn't have one of her own. She opened the window and let the owl out, giving it a small piece of a cauldron cake, telling it "not to tell its owner" although owls couldn't speak. She giggled as she watched the owl fly off and thought about the letter she had sent to her father;
Dearest Father,
Hello! It's me, Delphinia. How are you doing recently? And how is Mother? I know she wasn't entirely enthusiastic about me leaving to go to Hogwarts, but it's been fun so far. I made one entire friend already! Can you believe it? And I'm less than a week in! Please return the owl back quickly; It was a classmate's. Maybe one day I can get my own! And preferably with a letter; I very much want to hear from you. I still have kept my old blanket from you, though I don't cling to it nearly as much as I used to. I've found myself less attached to home, and although I miss you and Mother, I have been enjoying my house so far. The Hufflepuff girls weren't nearly as mean as I imagined they would be!
Warmest regards,
Delphinia.
After she sent down the owl, she sat against the wall and fantasized about showing Father the one she was sure she would own someday soon.

Victoria took the letter she had written to her mother out of the envelope and read it for the last time;
Dear Mother;
Yes, my grades are better than before. Could you please stop asking about my lessons in every letter? It's getting really boring. Anyway, how are you and how is my dad? I hope you are fine. I love you.
Your only daughter is Vicky.
Yes, it was a plain letter, but Victoria ignored it. She walked slowly towards the owl and tied the letter. Victoria walked backwards as the letter moved away. She felt a pressure on her foot and she realized she had fallen to the ground. She frowned.
Looking who she bumped into, she realized she was a sweet hufflepuff first year. Victoria realized that the girl was in the dark. "It wasn't your fault, I shouldn't have walked backwards, me Victoria and you?" Victoria asked curiously.
Victoria stood up and brushed herself off. She studied the girl closely, looking like a girl with brown hair and grayish eyes, of course she couldn't see clearly in the dark.
Victoria grabbed the flashlight and brought it close to the girl. "Why are you standing there?" she asked.
I just want to be myself.

@Victoria Asminy Honest She had just finished writing the letter and sending the owl off, still fantasizing of owning her own owl someday and thinking about what Father would write back. She went red with embarrassment when she bumped into Victoria. "It wasn't your fault, I shouldn't have walked backwards. I'm Victoria, and you?" She couldn't speak, as she was extremely embarrassed. "Uh- I- Eh- Um-" She couldn't come up with a reply before Victoria spoke again. "Why are you just standing there?" "I, um, just sent a letter to my father." She smiled sheepishly, face still red. "I'm sorry for bumping into you." She held out her hand to Victoria. "My name is Delphinia... What's yours?" A package of Cauldron Cakes dropped out of her pocket as she helped Victoria up, still sheepishly smiling but face less red.
