Ravenclaw v Hufflepuff
This course was proving to be a bit more than the one at Summer Camp. There were more trees through this part of the way that the racers had to worry about and the biggest tree opponent was coming up. Simon concentrated on his balance and speed, trying to do his best for the team as he raced on.

"Then I won't crack my skull. I'll crack the trunk instead." Jack spoke indignantly. If he wanted to run Mach 5 straight into a tree, he would do it to be petty. And with that final thought, Jack was off to the races.
Thankfully Jack and Serena had both taken off to a frighteningly fast start, but as the trees broke away into windy planes, Jack could feel his fingers slowly losing the grip they once had on his Silver arrow. Within moments, the broom was gone. The boy had a mid-fall crisis. That crisis was the fact that he was going to hit the ground. Hard. But the pain never came. The only thing he felt keeping him from a grizzly fall was the hand of Towers around his wrist. With that, he was swung up behind her, and they continued flying. "We're not going to talk about that." He felt as if he could hear the yells of the familiar voice of a particular Ravenclaw prefect, but honestly the blood was beating so hard inside his ears, who could tell.

Too tempted to let the opportunity to use violence against their peers with permission slide, Clair had decided to stay back for the first round. Poor Winter, who had seemed a bit overwhelmed with the situation at first, would be the target for the very first attack of the race. As the stone hit its mark, Clair decided to fly before Winter could get her back for it.
Clair had drawn a target on her own back now and Winter would not let her get away so easily.Apparently desperate to catch up with the other flyers, the two girls raced through the trees- perhaps a bit too fast. Clair, perhaps motivated by the success of her stone attack, made it through the first group of trees unharmed, but Winter brushed a tree with her shoulder. Not making the mistake to underestimate her speed again, she got through the second group unscathed and finally used the opportunity of a free view to cast a knockback jinx at the mean Ravenclaw. Perhaps that wasn't the best idea. More experienced magicians could see what Winter couldn't- she moved her wand weirdly, a little too enthusiastic and as a result, the light didn't come out of the right end of her wand, knocking the young witch off her broom. Victoria saw a spell coming to Emily, but ignored it, thinking that Emily would get over it. She truly believed that Victoria Ravenclaw could win. Thinking about this, She focused herself on her goal.

As Clair zipped around she enjoyed the feeling, fast air, if the air was buggy then she might had wished for glasses, but at the moment everything was good and she hoped it was the same for everyone else on her team, because they would need to win this race too.

She had no words when Jack boldly decided that he would just... crack a tree trunk instead of his skull. Of course he thought that! But she could not help but chuckle a little, "Uh huh..." She responded to his words. They were not going to talk about it, apparently. She could probably do that. Besides, Serena had something more important to focus on - the actual race. They were a broom down.
Spotting his broom not too far, she quickly swooped and started moving towards it. They had to get him back onto his own broom. "Alright, take two?" She asked, looking back up to the sky. It was a race, after all. They needed to get back into the broom race. Now Jack was back onto his broom, they had to focus on the race. "Let's do this," She encouraged as she turned her attention back ahead.

Ravenclaw v Hufflepuff
After multiple things going wrong for Winter she had finally hit the worst part of it all so far, she attempted to get back at the girl who threw a rock but instead failed to cast her spell properly and so she got knocked off her broom.

It all happened so quickly and yet she refused to let her team down that easily. Quickly getting up and catching her breath she called her broom to her hand, she was no longer scared, rather dedicated to catching up though she would be careful this time not pushing herself too far all at once, it was either go fast and not attack or slow down a bit beforehand, she must be focused. She mounted her broom and took off, hoping to catch up to everyone soon.

Emily continued to rase into the air, with the wind in her hair. She was proud of herself, of how far she had made it already. She was doing good, and she hoped she could keep it that way. As she looked towards herself, she saw a tree, a rather strange one. As she flew closer she saw that the tree left, "water?" she said to herself. A tree that left out water? Had it been raining then?
When she got closer she smelled this weird Sour tense, the closer she got to the tree the stronger the smell became, and then she knew it, "Acid!" she said, she bent down onto her broom, took on some speed, and flew by it as fast as possible, and in some way, she got out of it, barely harmed. She got back up and looked around, she had made it. But while she looked around she saw a spark of light coming towards her, and passed her, right next to her, someone had cast a spell on her, cause no one was even close to where she was, and they had missed.
She turned back around with her eyes wide at what she had just seen. "Okay but this game, is sick!" She said to herself and started laughing, she looked back towards her, back to concentrating on this exciting game.

Focus. Instead of worry about any possible impending snowstorm, or the cheers of the fans, or any spells being casted around him; Simon had to focus. Tougher obstacles were up ahead and he set his sights onward.
Onward and forward; relying on his flying and the speed of his Silver Arrow; hoping that both he and his team would pull through the race safely and successfully.

Ravenclaw v Hufflepuff
After dodging the trees, wind and storm, Lin's luck finally ran out and she got acid on her. Lin felt small holes form in her clothes and her skin began to burn.
Almost not thinking about the race, Lin just wanted to get rid of the acid spray. It was lucky for the Ravenclaw that Lin decided to run the course anyway. Because she could have gone the other way.
