A New and Different Chapter

How did she get here? There was no way this could be happening to her. There was no way she was a witch. She was always a little different from the rest of the kids, but there was no way that she was a witch. Weren't witches only in fairytales, not in real life? Right? She still didn't believe it, even though she had seen magic being done right in front of her eyes in Diagon Alley. She saw a wall move all by its self. When she was young when she got really upset, things would float in the air.
The day she was told she was magical was a day she will never forget. It was a bright and sunny day and while the rest of the kids in her group home were playing outside, Gwendolyn had decided to stay inside. She wasn't a social butterfly like the rest of the kids, probably one of the reasons she couldn't get adopted. She had been in the same group home since she was four when she was left on the steps with no name. She was just sitting on her bed looking out the window when the lady who ran the home came and go her saying that someone wanted to see her. Thinking it was some new family that wanted to see some kids, Gwen followed the lady downstairs only to see an older-looking lady sitting there. Then she got the news...
"You're a witch, Miss. Harmon" the woman said.
Those three words changed her life forever.
That's how she ended here, sitting on the steps on the group home with her trunk, waiting for the same lady. The lady turned out to also be a witch who had helped her get her school supplies and now was going to take her to the train station that was going to take her to her new school. A magical school. After the woman picked her, they took a taxi to King Cross. Gwen was honestly nervous, even though she tried not to show it. She was going to a place that she had no idea about. It wasn't like she had parents that could explain this to her. After getting to King Cross, getting out of the taxi, and grabbing her trunk, Gwendolyn walked through King Cross with the lady till they reached platform 9 and platform 10. Where was platform 9 and 3/4?
She then says another wizarding family goes past them and then right into the wall. Gwendolyn's eyes widened as she saw the family disappear into the wall one at a time.
"That's how you get through, Miss. Harmon." The witch said with a small kind smile before she gently pushed Gwen toward the wall. Gwen honestly thought the lady was crazy but she ran at the wall anyway.

Don't judge me based on where I come from.

A New and Different Chapter
Delphinia noticed Gwen stumble through the wall and looked up from her book. "Hello." She muttered softly. "The train is departing in about an hour. You're here very early." She was unsmiling, and her eyes were puffy and red as if she had been crying.
She stood up to go and greet Gwen. Maybe she would make her first friend? None of the other first-years had wanted to speak to her... And she had imagined all children above first year "too cool" to talk to her, so she didn't even try with them.
She smiled now. "I'm Delphinia Averescu. What's your name?" By the way, and this is OOC, her father is Arthur Averescu, a well-known outlaw, so she is worried someone may recognize her surname. She knew she was taking a risk by saying her last name, but at this point she was desperate for someone to be her friend. So, she stuck out her hand to shake hands, and a pink knit blanket fell from inside her coat. Her face turned red but she kicked the blanket behind her in an effort to hide it.

A New and Different Chapter
@Gwendolyn Harmon
Jacob once again is in Platform Nine and Three Quarters with the Hogwarts Express nearby, his mother went with him to get him on the Hogwarts Express as they arrived, he looked around and saw many first years about to head to Hogwarts, they are some of the newest witches and wizards to ever grace the halls of Hogwarts. He then saw someone similar to his mother in appearance along with another first-year girl. He then approached the first-year girls and said "First Years? Glad to see new First Years going to Hogwarts." It was not long ago that he was in their position, Jacob's Mother and Father were once first years themselves and they were as nervous as Jacob was during that time. Jacob knew, of course that the girl with the blonde hair was most likely going to be in Ravenclaw because he could tell that she was an intelligent person, but of course he doesn't know that for certain. Anyone can be of any house and still be different in many ways, some are braver than others, some are smarter, and some are more cunning. On the cunning side, Lord Voldemort, Jacob found out was very cunning and brought almost all the characteristics that Salazar Slytherin found most appealing for his house, Voldemort was determined, resilent, cunning, and was a great leader, Voldemort was also Salazar Slytherin's true heir and was the one who opened the Chamber of Secrets as Harry Potter years after Voldemort opened the Chamber of Secrets saw for himself, slew the Basilisk in the Chamber in his second year. Jacob years at Hogwarts however were uneventful unless you count the time he and other students were attacked on their way to Hogwarts by members of S.C.A.R., the terrorist organization who Jacob had suspected are currently hding their true motives, and had suspected them of being a pure-blood supremicist movement in disguise.
