A happy home PV Closed

He looked at home as the girl gave him the food. The hippogriff looked smug, happy, proud of his accomplishment. And then it clicked with the boy as he took a step forward, then another. The smug attitude of the hippogriff vanished completely as it matched him step for step, standing as tall as it could manage. The young ravenclaw took another determined step, confident and smooth in his motions as the hippogriff reared up to strike Kaegen whipped his wand at it's face. In a dreadful whisper, cold as his 11 year old throat could manage he cast the only decent offensive spell he knew. He had it planned out, he was going to fight her and win her respect that way, not with pointless bowing.

But he had a little too much adrenaline flowing, had things planned out too far in advance and hadn't focused on the present nearly enough. The boy paid for it painfully, as the spell backfired, sending him flying across the stables with a sound like a gunshot. He landed hard against the gate opposite Home's cage and collapsed to his hands and knees, staring at the ground as little stars danced in his vision. Home's attack missed, hitting the ground where Kaegen had been before the spell had sent him flying. Kaegen's gut threatened to balk, and he felt a flood of nausea. He started to panic, started to worry that he was going to meet his end simply because he was too stupid to use a slingshot. Because he had tried to use a spell. All things considered there were worse ways to go. He fought to regain his breath, his senses, anything. Not wanting to throw up would be a good start.
