Forest Exploration PV Slytherin & Ravenclaw Cl

Was it wrong that he was getting second thoughts about all of this? Hopefully it wasn't. It was only natural to not want to enter a place that students are prohibited from entering for their own safety. Right? The idea of going on a trip into the forbidden forest made Jason want to turn on his heel and run back into the common room. He would bury himself in his bed sheets and wait to see if anyone made it back alive.

He wondered why the professors even thought about taking them to this place? Wasn't the forest forbidden because it was very dangerous? Like life threateningly dangerous?! Of course Jason would be scared by this, but not that scared. The heads of both houses were present at the moment. Meaning they will protect them if anything bad were to happen. Hopefully.

Jason kept himself near the back of the group while looking through the crowd of his fellow first years. He planned to partner himself with Jake, but his fellow Slytherin was already paired up with a Ravenclaw girl. Meaning he needed a new partner and fast.

The boy took out his wand and held it like it life depended on it. It might even while in the forest. He soon followed the others example and used the wand lighting charm to help see in the forest.




ACTION: looking for a partner and trying to perceive anything in the forest while entering it.

These words were the first thing Ava's heard from her partner. She didn't really think much about who she's going to be partnered with, as long as she's not going to be alone. She wouldn't like being alone, especially in the Forbidden Forest, but at the same time, she was willing to change partners if the boy minded her so much. "Probably," she replied, looking around to see that her blonde hair stuck out a little bit. It wasn't much, there were a couple people that had blonde hair too, but it still kind of did. Is that it? she thought and put on her hood, not necessarily to cover it up. It was getting darker which means it was getting colder. 

The girl looked towards the forest. "You know, if you really don't want to be partners with me, we - or I - can ask the heads of the houses if we can change, if you really don't want to be partners. But I don't think I've met you ever before, so I have no idea why you wouldn't like me. But ok, I guess," Ava shrugged, and looked away from the boy. She didn't mind, it just felt weird - they never met before and it was kinda obvious he didn't want to be partners with her. 

"Are you okay?" she looked back at him. His eyes were twitching like he was nervous, but only his eyes. It was... concerning at the least. 

[Action: Forcefully partner up with Kaegan and enter the forest.]

Cecily was excited when she first heard about the trip into the Forbidden Forest, but now that she was actually standing in front of it-- with a whole different house a well as her own, nonetheless-- she began to reconsider why she joined this group in the first place.

Number one on the list was, of course, the adventure. Cecily hated being cooped up, and even though the grounds of Hogwarts, and the castle itself, was massive, she was eager to explore new territory with new people. She usually explored the moors solo at home, but at least every day she covered new ground.

Next came the people. While not a huge fan of them, Cecily had promised herself that she'd make new friends. She had talked to a few people in the time she'd been here, but only a couple of the acquaintances had turned into maybe-actual-friendships. Now, she was hoping that whatever happened on this trek resulted in another person she could call a friend, whether wearing green or blue.

On this note, Cecily stepped aside, and looked for a partner. She shifted the small bag on her shoulder, packed with necessities for the trip. If she was lucky, she would pair up with a Slytherin. She saw the Ravenclaws all the time, but having a friend in the House of Snakes might be good-- in the sense of either a change of pace or someone on the inside, if it ever came to that. Cecily wasn't sure when she would ever need a spy in the Slytherin house, but it was always good to be prepared. Plus, networking was never a bad idea.

She walked up to a boy who, after seeing two students pair up, looked lost for a partner.

"Hi, I'm Cecily. Do you have a partner?"

ACTION: Ask Jason Atwater to partner up with her

As he was looking around, he was suddenly pushed forward toward another boy. He spun around, and realized it was the just Head of Slytherin. She said something about partnering up, and he looked at who he was supposed to partner up with. 

He didn't recognize him, however, and didn't know his name. "H-hi" he said nervously.  "I'm Midas..." he continued "Nice to meet you-u... Guess we're partners, huh?" he let a hollow and awkward laugh. "S-so maybe we should just go into the forest. I'm gonna go ahead and head int-to the forest." Midas didn't actually know whether he should wait for his partner or just follow the teachers.

As he walked away from the boy, he started looking around again. The forest seemed to be darker and gloomier than before. Midas's doubts about his safety were beginning to appear again. He had heard all sorts of rumors about what was in the forest. Maybe he should try and see what was inside the forest. 

However, he first looked around at others, and he noticed that some other students were also trying to look into the forest and see things. "If someone sees something weird or dangerous, they would inform the public... Right? Do I need to look into it?" Midas decided that rather than look into the forest and see if he could see anything, he would search around looking for items, in case there was anything useful or interesting. Might as well have something to keep after this trek, right?

Action: Look around the nearby areas for anything useful/interesting while entering the forest.

Lucien looked over at the Ravenclaw boy in front of him. He introduced him self as Midas and seemed to be nervous wreck. He headed into the forest before Lucien could even introduce himself. The black haired boy ran after his partner quickly catching up. "I'm Lucien. Nice to meet you. It's the forbidden forest so of course you're going to most likely going to see something. Also don't just pick anything you see up it could be dangerous!" He said in a calm quiet voice flipping through his book to make sure what plant was safe and what wasn't. Lucien wasn't afraid of anything lurking in the forest. They had adults with them after all. "Nothing bad is going to happen to us. We have adults with us." He said to reassure Midas who was a little bit ahead of him. Other students had cast lumos spells so Lucien figured he would do the same. He looked around at the plants marking the ones he saw in his book, with the quill he had quickly as they walked. He figured that most of the plants would be deeper into the forest. He looked around to see if he recognized anyone close by but didn't see anyone other than his sister.

Action: Look around

Mia looked over at the two boys next to her. She was nervous, but steady. No one could see what she was truly feeling. Mia took a deep breath and approached them, scratching the back of her neck nervously. When she stood in front of them, she realized she knew one of them, the boy with two different colored eyes. She smiled at him. He then ran into the forest after another boy. She sighed. Mia gritted her teeth and crossed her fingers, hoping that someone would partner up with her. That would be great if she found a partner. It would also be great if they could start heading in. Mia loved the idea of going into the forest. It seemed just spooky enough that it exited her, but still breathtakingly beautiful. Mia glanced at the other people, all slowly entering the forest. She needed a partner quick. It wasn't her fault that she was late, she had gotten lost. Plus, who wants to be stuck with the teachers in the Forbidden Forest? It's the freaking forbidden forest! Mia sucked in her breath and looked around.

There must be somebody. Please let me find somebody.

Action: Look around and try to find a partner.

Lettie might normally find wandering around in the Forbidden Forest to be completely terrifying, but she had enough confidence in the adults that were present that she felt at ease. She had always been quick to place her trust in authority, and the Heads of Houses seemed to be trustworthy people. Nevertheless, she still took it upon herself to brush up on a few basic defensive spells she had found in her text book. It could never hurt to be too prepared.

It pained her to not have Benji there with her, because he would always put her at ease if things went south. She had reminded him to sign up, but it seemed as though he had forgotten anyways, as he was nowhere to be seen. Sometimes that boy had his head in the clouds.

The sky was extremely cloudy, which was enough to prompt Lettie to sport her bright yellow raincoat and rain boots. She was all for exploring a bit, but she would certainly not allow herself to get soggy in the process. Also, the last thing she needed was to have her designer sneakers be ruined by mud.

Lettie couldn't help but roll her eyes during the Professors' opening speeches. Was it really necessary to tell someone to not fall asleep in the middle of a forest populated with monsters? How daft were some of her classmates, and why on earth was it necessary for her to pair up with them? She could feel herself losing brain cells just thinking about it.

Since it seemed like the partner thing was not really optional, Lettie took the opportunity to get to know some more students in her year. A little bit of networking couldn't hurt anyone, right? She turned to the first person she saw and gave them a charming grin. "It's all so exciting, isn't it? Do you want to be partners? It seems like this would be better off as a team effort." The words were painful as they left her mouth. She would definitely be better off alone, but it was definitely not polite to say so.

Action: Ask to pair up with Mia Alexander

Anastasia was very excited about this trip, ever since she came to Hogwarts she had been very fascinated by the Forbidden Forest, how it was all mysterious and what you could see from just looking into the trees did give much away about what was inside, and when she heard about the trip to explore it she was more than eager to sign up for it. Although it wasn't a very nice day today but that didn't worry Anastasia at all, she wouldn't miss this time to bond with people and to make new friends for the world.

Anastasia was almost glued to the side of her friend Isabella, she didn't want to get lost in the large crowd of people. With arms intertwined the strained to hear what the professors were saying.

She heard that they needed to be in pairs, she knew exactly who she wanted to be partnered with. She glanced at Isabella and gave her the widest grin in the world which made her burst into uncontrollable laughter.

After Anastasia got her breath back and wiped away her tears of laughter she decided now would be the time to ask before anyone else did and she would be partnerless.

Action: Ask Isabella to be partner

Isabella hurried down to where her house was. She was a bit surprised to see the Ravenclaws there but she didn't really think much of it.

'It's all about making friends, right?' She thought to herself, biting her lip nervously. She looked at her friend Anastasia next to her. She seemed just as nervous as she was. Isabella was relieved to have a familiar person there, she didn't know what she would do if she didn't know anyone.

Isabella moved closer to Anastasia, not wanting to get separated from her only friend. She intertwined her arm with Anastasias and listened to what the two Head of Houses were saying.

As soon as she heard the Ravenclaw Head of House (Professor Porkivytch?) announce that they had to get into partners she twisted her head round to face Anastasia and smiled at her before the two of them burst into laughter.

Isabella caught her breath and wiped her eyes to get away the tears of laughter that had been spilling down her cheeks. She smiled as Anastasia asked her to be her partner before replying with a light laugh.

"Of course I'm going to be your partner, did you even need to ask? It's not like I know anyone else here."

She started dragging Anastasia by the arm towards the forest, eager to get the adventure started.

Pair up with Anastasia and move towards the forest.

"It's all so exciting, isn't it? Do you want to be partners? It seems like this would be better off as a team effort."

Mia smiled at the red haired Slytherin girl. Finally someone. Mia looked at the girl for a moment. Not checking her out, no, but just waiting. She was wearing bright yellow raincoat and rain boots, and her bright red hair was peeking out. She seemed to be a solid partner, maybe a bit silly, but solid. Mia looked back. Everyone was walking into the forest, clutching their rain coats, or in the absence of one, their robes. Mia looked back at the red haired girl.

"Ok sure. Let's go."

Mia grabbed her hat and started walking in, glancing around nervously. The forest was dark and damp, but Mia walked on, following the group ahead.
