Clair grinned, "I still need to check in on him, make sure Kit did not die OR something." She was pretty sure Kit was ok, seeing as Simon and her were not in jail for murder.
She started to walk, "Oh sure, Bones of steel that break and make you sore, I bet you'll be unable to move by 30 at this rate." She tone lighten a little, "By the way! Steel is a very weak metal, there are way stronger metals to choose from."
Clair laughed, a hearty laugh that made her sides hurt, and her heart flip flop more, "Why else would you say sorry?" She giggled, way to entertained by his reaction.
Study? Together? A image came to mind that Clair instantly pushed away.... He had said study not hang out, "I like to bake too, sadly here at Hogwarts we can't really bake.... Or at least not without risking getting caught and getting detention, which is something I've been way to close to getting way to many times" she grinned "I'd love to study with you, which classes do you like best? I'm a big fan of Charms and Flying" Flying was something Clair loved, too much.

"Oh god, died? Wow. How did nobody get expelled and sent to Azkaban?" That sounded like something Simon would only want to hear about from afar.

"I'm not really educated on metals." he admitted, walking alongside her. They figured that if there was someone who knew about metals, it was Clair. "Also i'll make sure that doesn't happen by going to the hospital wing."

He felt the red spread across his face as she laughed, and he said, "Well- i-i honestly don't know..." he said, than he began to smile as he watched Clair bust a gut over his suffering. "It's not funny!" he said with forced outrage in his voice, but he also felt like he was going to laugh, and his voice wavered from keeping in the laughter as he said "oh my god, stop laughing!"

"That sucks! How can you not bake at Hogwarts? Wow. Maybe they should rethink that... I mean i know we have house-elves, but shouldn't baking be for everyone?" He remembered making the cookies for his mother and hating frosting then, but he soon gained some more experience during the break. He still hated the frosting, but not as much this time.

Simon's heart lifted when Clair accepted his request. He wanted to jump with joy, but he just said in a light voice, "Oh, great! My
favorite classes are Potions and Flying. I've actually been thinking of joining the Quidditch team, or maybe broom racing. I don't really know. I just want to be up in the air. I'm sick of the ground." He imagined himself on a broomstick, flying up in the air. "Are you in Quidditch or Broom Racing? You could give me advice."

"well he did get hit with a shovel, in the head." She shrugged, "It's no Biggy though"
He was now just fooling around with Simon, tricking him into thinking she did not care.
"Oh? I love knowing things, my sisters say I'm a knowledge hog, but it seems I'm just a nerd, and I like that." Clair found nothing rude about being a nerd, often at muggle school she was bullied for being a nerd.
Clair could not stop laughing, it was way to funny, especially when Simon's face sparked a little red, "Sorry It's too funny!" She managed to say through her laughing, her Laughter was not meant to be mean, she was just laughing due to his reaction.
She raised a eyebrow "Um, it's against the rules to, we're not allowed in the kitchens"
As she walked down the hall towards the Slytherin dorm Clair smiled, "Well I like Charms and Flying, I'm not to great at potions, no gonna lie." She grinned, "I'm a broom racer, I would say Broom racing is great, if you like the fact that you just might die, you like flying at high speeds and being rough. But if that's not your idea of fun, I'd go with Quidditch. And if you did not wanna race me, go for quidditich, if you have a broom we can ask the professor if we could go for a ride sometime, I've got a Silver Arrow"

Simon frowned, but didn't ask any more questions. He figured that she didn't want to talk about it anymore, even though he was curious about what happened.

"Knowledge hog? Pfft. No such thing. Being smart is admirable. Only jealous people say otherwise. People used to be jerks about it, but they never got a grade higher than a D."

Simon couldn't hold it in anymore, and he burst out laughing too, cheeks still red. "Fine, i'll let it go for now, but don't ever suggest that. I am physically incapable of farting." he said, wagging his finger at her playfully.

"Yeah, i know now, don't want students burning the school to the ground. Though my mum has been sending lot of cookies to me. I'm not sure what she expects me to do with them. Eat them all? I can't eat that much cookies in five months. She sent me over 100. I can't deal. I did try to eat some of it but i still have a bunch left over, if you like cold cookies."

"Well, if you ever need help with Potions, I'm available. the Gryffindor offered. And flying at fast speeds is cool and all, but i'd prefer Quidditch."
They smiled when she accepted. "Thank you, but i'll have to sign up for Quidditch first before riding with you."
Simon noticed that he was walking kind of slow and sped up his pace. "About the letter- are you still planning to deliver the letter today? Or will that wait?"

"Haha now your laughing too!" She laughed, her cheeks red with laughter, "You can't hold it back forever!"
She managed to stop laughing for a moment, "Unable? Dude your very broken, every human farts at least 10 times everyday, it is something your body must do, it natural."
She grinned, Facts. Facts were something you could relay on, no one was going to change them over night, no one was gonna make 'em disappear over night, facts were Clair's friends.
"you don't like the fact of almost dying? Your no fun." She said playfully, "The prospect of dying while racing is half the fun, but suit yourself!" She smirked "I might ask Miss Stube if I can us my broom and go for a ride, it would be nice to practice a little more"
She shrugged, "You have a broom?"
"me? Nah I think you are the one writing letters, I don't send many letters, due to not wanting to waste paper, you know?" She smiled, "So, you happy with your house? Or did you want another one? I could never be in any other house even if my Sisters were both Slytherins." Even if her sisters were Slytherin, Clair was proud Ravenclaw.

Simon wiped tears of laughter from his eyes. "I cannot believe that we were laughing about farts. I feel like a two year old."
Simon raised his eyebrows. "I don't do it in public, obviously. Don't ask me any more questions about that, i am not sharing any details, no matter how much you beg." he joked.
Once again, Clair grinned, which sent his heart into overdrive. If his heart kept doing this he was going to have a heart attack in public!

"Eh, i'd prefer life. And that sounds good, but i don't own a broom, I could borrow a school one, but not sure if that's allowed- I'll ask later." He was kind of nervous. Even though it wasn't his first time riding a broom, he was still afraid of messing up.
Okay. The truth was that he was afraid of messing up in front of Clair. He hated making mistakes and especially not in front of someone so perfect. That would be terrible.

"That makes sense. And honestly, i expected the hat to put me in Slytherin. Super glad it did not, i'm not sure if i could handle them. A lot of them are annoying." he admitted. "I was hoping to be put in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw." He was glad he was in Gryffindor. The people there were cool.

"Very much like a toddler!" She grinned,
"Really? You hold it in, and then wait till summer break to fart, buddy, i hope you realize that no where at Hogwarts is private. Unless you use the Room Of Requirements to go fart in!" She smirked, Farts were a normal thing in the Fernandez house hold, it was natural everyday thing, only people who were.... Unable to accept that your body gives out gas everyday would be embarrassed.
She grinned "Ask later..... Hmmm, i think that translates to, 'no k really don't want to go but i don't want to be rude either.'" she really did not mind if Simon did not want to to for a fly, he could just say no.
She smirked, "Have your really met any though. every one of them are different, and...." She paused, wondering if she should say it, it would be rude and he might decided to leave, but the truth could hurt right? "it seems like.... Like you make up your mind and don't change it once your set in your ways, it's very immature, you decide you don't like the Slytherin, yet do you know them? Have you met a good amount? Maybe you have i mean i don't know you well, but what it seems like is that.... Is that you decided that the Snakes are bad, my Sisters were both snakes, only one is a jerk, the other is great, maybe you should think before you speak."

"I don't do that, and i'm not giving any details. It's gross and not interesting." In Simon's opinion, that was something you should probably keep between yourself and your gastroenterologist.

Simon shook his head. "Wrong. It actually translates to 'i really, really want to go but i don't want to get in trouble." they said, not adding the part about being embarrassed. This was not a confession booth. "You know what, i think i'll sign up for Quidditch. No death for me."
Simon blinked at the girl calling him immature. Rude! He was not immature. "I was not talking about your sisters, and i said 'a lot of them'. Some of them have this really weird belief that just because you are pureblood it means you are above other. I probably should have specified but that was rude." Maybe it was because his dad hated them and he didn't dare argue with his dad, but it just seemed like they weren't the best of people.
Or maybe Clair was right and he should be more openminded?
But then again, he was fine as he was, right?
He glanced down at the books he was holding, now uncomfortable, so he decided it was time to change the subject. "Uh, sorry about your sister. Having a rude sibling must suck. Does she bother you a lot?" he asked her. "I'm an only child, so i don't know what it's like."

She nodded "Un huh?'' but said nothing more, not wanting to be pushy, this boy's door was not open, she would not force it open.
She cocked her head to the side, "You don't like being Immature? I don't see anything wrong with it, you can only be a kid once, so live it to the fullest, don't act like a adult before you actually are."
She smiled softly, she meant to rudeness, it was only the truth.
she smiled, "My sisters can and one is be jerks, but everyone can be a jerk, even the adults, i think that your not human" she paused "Or part human, until you make a mistake, or act like a jerk at least once in your life, do you agree?"
She shifted the books in her arms, "and besides everyone is their own person, we all act different, so one person's thoughts about how to be a jerk might to agree with another person's thought on how to be a jerk, just like different people have different tastes, I might like Liver and you might not or vise versa."
She shrugged, "To each his own"
And with that she started to walk again.

Simon could tell that Clair didn't buy it, but luckily she did not press further. He wasn't willing to tell her the actual reason why and pressing on would be pointless.
Simon shrugged. "Well, my dad didn't like it, so why should i do it? Besides, no one takes you seriously. You've seen how some adults are. They're all like 'you're too young for this' and 'wait till you're older' even if the 'this' they're talking about i can understand fine. It's so annoying."
Simon was taken aback. "Woah, not human? Rude. I am probably more human than..." he tapped his chin. "Every person in this school who is human." That was kind of a lie. He wasn't that human.
Simon listened to her explanation carefully and nodded. "Yeah, i guess you're right. Sorry, i wasn't trying to be mean. Honest." He wasn't used to saying sorry, but he didn't have any rebuttal against what she was saying, because she was right. He remembered when his friend Sam had told him during an argument- "Well, why don't you try thinking for yourself and stop being what your stupid dad wants?
He had yelled at them about the unnecessary insult to his poor dead dad, but he considered their words as he walked with Clair. He really had no proof that Slytherins were rude.
But he hated disappointing his dad, even if he was six feet under. It felt like disrespecting his memory, that all his words meant nothing to Simon, which they did.
Simon followed her. "Hey, where are we going? Just wondering." His arms were starting to get sore, and as much as he liked hanging out with this girl, he also didn't want his arms to pop out of his sockets. "Ouch, my arms. I need to take a break."
