Victoria was bored as usual. Victoria decided to make a change and go to the courtyard. She took his sketchbook with her and wanted to paint in the courtyard. Victoria lazily dressed and slid her bag onto her back.

Victoria smiled, realizing that the weather was very pleasant as she stepped out into the courtyard. She looked around and thought the fountain was a good place to paint. As she approached the fountain, she saw a sitting girl. Victoria immediately recognized her by her white hair and red eyes; Winter.

Victoria knew her in the library, they didn't talk much, but when Victoria saw that she was painting too, she came to Winter. "Mmm, can I sit here? You're the only person I know here." ' said Victoria, somewhat shyly.

Victoria "Can I sit somewhere else if you don't want to?" said. She didn't want to disturb anyone. She just hated being alone. She looked carefully at Victoria Winter. "Winter, if you don't mind, I'd like to ask you something; is there a reason your eyes are red?" Victoria asked in a calm voice.

She sat next to Victoria Winter and waited for an answer. She took out her sketchbook and placed it in front of the fountain.

It was a perfect day to go outside. It was snowing lightly, and he was reading a really good book that their mum had given them.
Simon walked across the courtyard, nose in a book that they started reading yesterday. They had to brush off snowflakes off the paper in order to keep reading. It was titled "Percy Jackson and The Olympians" and since their mom gave it to him they could not put it down.
They went over to the fountain and sat down before seeing that there were two others there- Vicky and Winter, who were sitting and talking to each other. Winter had a valentines box next to her. Simon sat on the other side of Winter and continued to read until they heard Vicky ask Winter why her eyes were red, to which Simon finally looked up and said, "Yeah, why? I want to know too, because i don't think you're albino and red isn't a natural color unless you're albino, last time i looked."
After waiting for an answer, they pointed at her box and said. "What's in that box? Is it living?"
They lowered his book to their chest and waited for an answer.

Youssuf sauntered over to the trio of students who were sitting right next to the fountain. He was clothed rather warmly in a wool sweater his grandma had knitted in half a minute (she was a witch) and a jacket over that. He looked rather dapper, he thought with a smirk. He'd overheard a conversation between the two girls.
He sat down with an audible thump next to the boy, and recognized them immediately. The girl next to him was Vicky, the snowball fight kid and the boy was Simon, his fellow Gryffindor! The other girl he'd never met, but he'd heard a lot about her - Winter Wolfhartz, the dhampir. She'd invited him here. Youssuf sprang up and bowed to the trio (Respect to An Equal was for Vicky and Simon, while Respect to An Older One was intended for Winter).
Then he slumped back down and returned to his book - A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children #4. He was just catching up, cause Riggs had just released the fifth book in the series and he wanted a sense of continuity.
Suddenly Youssuf remembered what Simon had been asking Winter. He said nonchalantly, "I think Winter's a dhampir. Sometimes they have red pupils. But I dunno, really."
"I'm not a bad skater. But the Lake is too big to skim across, yeah?"

Winter watched as little by little people she had recognized began to join her by the fountain. She smiled softly as the first showed up, she remembered the name Vicky and so she had no problem with her sitting here being she was waiting for people she could befriend or grow a stronger bond with! "o-oh yes, of course, please do!" Victoria seemed to be shy just as winter was herself and so she tilted her head a bit as she continued smiling, hoping that her sweet smile and soft expression would help make the young Ravenclaw more comfortable. "I wouldn't mind some company"

Soon enough another familiar face showed, it was Simon Corbin, another she had met during the gathering anna had held in the study. As they approached the fountain and sat beside winter she greeted them with a small wave. As they took their seat on the fountain Vicky spoke up once more, a question, the same one followed by Simon when he overheard it, one not uncommon for winter to hear. Many people would question her about things as such and so she wouldn't mind answering it being it was only natural for someone to be curious. As she went to speak a familiar voice spoke up, one she had recognized immediately without even peering up to see his face, it was that very respectful boy who was also introduced in the study.

"Huh- o-oh Youssuf right? I-its a pleasure to see you again!" The gentleman of a first-year had practically answered the question, small talk but just enough information. She nodded in agreement to what Youssuf had said "yea I'm a dhampir, our eyes are usually odd colors like red, grey, etc! And well we have this-" She smiled wide to show the gaps where her k9's had been missing "uhh- please don't get scared..-" she looked at them all before slowly allowing her fangs to show, replacing the gaps, she was hopeful that none of them would be frightened.

After explaining and retracting her fangs she looked to Simon who had questioned the bakery box she had by her side "oh! I uhm.. made some cupcakes and I thought id share them with whoever showed up! I'm not one for sweets so I thought it'd be a nice gift to my friends..!" She lifted the top of the box to reveal six cupcakes placed nicely in two rows, there was three chocolate and the same amount of vanilla. Two of each cupcake had different icing however though it was obvious from the different shades of the topping, there were buttercream, vanilla, and chocolate and one of each had sprinkles whilst the others had edible glitter. She explained what she had and looked to all three of them "w-would any of you like one..?"

As Victoria waited for an answer, she heard a voice behind her;

"Yeah, why? I want to know too, because i don't think you're albino and red isn't a natural color unless you're albino, last time i looked."

Victoria realized it was Simon and smiled. His smile widened when he heard Youssuf's voice from behind.

"I think Winter's a dhampir. Sometimes they have red pupils. But I dunno, really."
"I'm not a bad skater. But the Lake is too big to skimming across, yeah?"

Victoria looked at Winter in surprise at that sentence.

"yea I'm a dhampir, our eyes are usually odd colors like red, grey, etc! And well we have this-"
"uhh- please don't get scared..-"

She looked at Victoria Winter's teeth and chuckled in admiration. "This is so beautiful Winter! It must be hard being a Dhampir, right? Besides, I think there's nothing to be afraid of, it's cool! And your eyes is pretty!" Victoria smiled.

"oh! I uhm.. made some cupcakes and I thought id share them with whoever showed up! I'm not one for sweets so I thought it'd be a nice gift to my friends..!""w-would any of you like one..?"

Victoria smiled. "Yes please." Victoria still couldn't believe she had met a dhampir.

After making chocolates, Lily had been doing homework in the Library for the past two hours. She didn't mind. She was in a really good mood and was feeling very satisfied and proud of the Charms homework she had just feeling. Looking up for the first time in over an hour, she realised that it must have been snowing for most of the afternoon because, although nothing was falling from the sky, the Hogwarts Grounds seemed covered with snow. Smiling, Lily packed her quill, parchments and books in her bag and got out of the Library.

Walking through the Courtyard, she saw a group of First-Years chatting near the fountain. She knew all of them. She walked quietly towards them and heard the white-hair girl she'd met at the Leaky Cauldron, Winter, talking about cupcakes she'd made. Lily joined the group just as the Hufflepuff girl was saying hesitantly: "Would any of you like one..?"

She let every one answer before greeting them. Turning to the girls, she said: "Hey Winter, hey Victoria, how are you doing?" then she added towards one of the Gryffindor boys: "You're Youssuf, right? I remember you from the Snowball fight!". Finally, she reluctantly turned to the last person there: Stupid Simon. "And you're here too." It was a rather stupid remark but the only thing that popped into her head when she recognised the boy who had randomly sent her a snowball when she was having the worst day possible.

"Ohh, i love cupcakes!" Lily added enthusiastically, "baking them, but mostly eating them!" she finished with a wink and a small laugh.

Winter was glad none of those around her had gotten frightened by her odd features, she was caught off guard by the term beautiful being used for such things though. huh- y-your think so..? Th-thank you, Vicky!" the amount of kindness shown by a first-year she had just only met a short while ago made her mood brighten a hundred times more than it already had been!

Lily bridges, a friendly Ravenclaw that winter had seen a few times randomly had walked up and greeted almost everyone the same, well, except poor Simon. She waved in response before letting out a small giggle "you don't sound so happy to see Simon here" her gaze flashed back and forth between the two "not good friends-?" she questioned them both being the way Lilly had greeted them was rather unenthusiastic. "well, your in luck then lily! I'm not a fan of sweets so here you are!" she grinned as she handed out cupcakes to her friends.

By the time she handed one to each person was left with two more cupcakes. This time a face unrecognized had come to join the crew by the fountain "o-oh hello! I'm winter it's a pleasure to meet you.." she elongated her last word as she waited for a name to be given. She held the now-closed bakery box in her hands with a smile, she realized her friend youssuf had known this girl and so she spoke out "Any friend of another is a friend to me! Would you like a cupcake?" she tilted her head with a grin

After they had settled down and all was good winter decided to ask the whole group. "youssuf, the lake is quite big indeed but I was thinking perhaps everyone could join me to skate there! of course, we wouldn't go too far but visited there not too long ago, its rock solid and completely stable!" She smiled widely in excitement "I could ask a friend of mine to borrow their back-up skates for those who want to accompany me I myself have two extras and my friend has the same as well as their main, that would be just enough for us all to go!" She scanned around to look at everyone's face "I can teach those who don't know how to- if you'd like to learn that is"

She would await everyone's answer before speaking up once more "after this we can go to our dorms to get better dressed and so I can get the skates, then we can meet at the lake??"

"Hey Winter, hey Victoria, how are you doing?"

Victoria smiled at the voice behind her. "Hi Lily! I'm fine, how are you?"

"huh- y-your think so..? Th-thank you, Vicky!” Victoria gave Winter a bright smile.

Victoria chuckled at the tension between Lily and Simon, knowing from the snowball fight why. Victoria smiled at the next girl, her smile widening when she heard her name was Celeste. "Celeste, such a beautiful name!" Victoria smiled at the girl she guessed was the first year.

Victoria whispered in Simon's ear. "Are you still on bad terms with Lily?" She looked at Simon. She also happily accepted the cake that Winter gave her. The taste that spread in his mouth when he bit the cake was very pleasant. "Winter, did you make this? Oh my god these are delicious!" Victoria said with her eyes sparkling.

Victoria turned to Youssuf. "Youssuf, how's the dueling going?" She asked curiously.

"youssuf, the lake is quite big indeed but I was thinking perhaps everyone could join me to skate there! of course, we wouldn't go too far but visited there not too long ago, its rock solid and completely stable!" Victoria smiled at Winter's excitement.

"And, I guess I'll change too, see you in the courtyard, folks!" After saying that, Victoria gave everyone a smile and took a step towards her dormitory.
