I've seen GoT - when it came out live - but it's definitely not PG-13. Since the site rating is, I avoid talking about that or other non-PG-13 shows/films here. I think most people do the same, so that also might be why people don't really speak about it here even if they've seen it.
Also: I totally know over 18 year olds who wouldn't watch it, because they'd also be scarred if they did. So everyone's different. Not everyone enjoys the violence/other themes in the show.
