The duel had started off well for Slytherin, but the Lions weren't going to accept defeat that easily (or ever).

Now forbidden to aim their wands at Sylvie, Bridget and Henry had to find alternative targets. Henry was perhaps reluctant to turn his wand against his friend despite their banter, and decided to instead rid his team of the grumbling storm overhead. A skillfully cast wind jinx later, the cloud became instead the Gryffindors' problem: Henry had blown it across the field, and it now threatened to strike at them instead.

Sylvie, for the moment, had bigger problems: Paralysed on the ground, she struggled to free herself from the curse that held her. Her for a duellist above average strength (a whopping 5) proved to be a blessing, and she managed to shake part of the effects off and climb stiffly back to her feet.

Bridget and Elsa, finally, turned their wands on each other: Elsa's curse of the bogies was well cast and well aimed and would cause Bridget some grief (aka severe sneezing and disgusting mucus leaking from her nose) for the next few minutes. Before her accuracy could suffer from a surplus of bogies, however, Bridget had already cast a near perfect wind jinx, and aimed it with a sniper's accuracy. Elsa was hit by a blast of wind, the remainders of which would keep her off-balance for a while to come.

While Henry made a choice she fully agreed with, blowing the crackling storm clouds over to the Gryffindor's side of the platform, she aimed her wand at Elsa. Intention seen in her mind's eye, she could feel the magic building up as she incanted Ventus. A rather perfect release followed, shooting straight for her target and catching her cleanly in the swirling wind. Much better.

Her speed, not so much. Maybe she was a bit out of practice after only having to avoid the occasional Mimblewimble last stage, and credit where credit was due: Elsa had good aim. Her eyes filled with the green flash as the spell hit, and immediately she was reminded of how much this spell sucked. Running nose, headache, general nasty feeling. It wasn't very long before the first sneeze came; she turned away from Henry and brought up the elbow of her non-wand arm. Lovely.

She turned back to notice Sylvie had broken out of the Full Body-Bind Curse surprisingly fast. Well, okay then. Her bigger concern at the moment, frankly, was her nose, which refused to stop leaking; you know what, she was just going to hold her sleeve to it until it stopped. She wasn't keen on having her clothes snotty for the rest of the duel, but she didn't exactly have another option. Maybe if it looked like she was going to get hit by a fire spell she could purposefully have it catch on her sleeve. Henry, being right next to her, might be able to hear Bridget's single, quiet comment on the matter: "Ew."

Sylvie's petrified body struck a kind of anxiety within her. Not being able to move was an unsettling thing, duel or not! It meant she was vulnerable, despite her knowledge that they could raise their wands to her she still felt she needed to break free as fast as possible.

So, that's exactly was she aimed to do, attempting to writhe around violently until her limbs finally caved into her movements. Her body felt... Stiff. It ached to move, but it didn't matter at the moment. It wouldn't be long before her bones could move without resistance, so for now, she stood to her feet and gave a strained nod to Nicky. There was still a duel ahead of them.

Some tense encouragement was shared between the Lions, otherwise much of the chatting on the stage had ceased.

Sylvie could still feel the remnants of the curse in her bones, and decided to spend another moment focusing fully on evading and regaining her mobility. Sadly, her body would not cooperate: While attempting to dodge, Sylvie stumbled over her own feet, leaving her an easy target for Henry's well-aimed disarming spell. Even while she shook off the curse's after-effects, her wand was yanked from her hand. It would take a bit to retrieve it.

Bridget decided to make use of the wind still swirling around Elsa, sending one of the hardest-hitting spells there were after her, and Dee nodded in thought. The Slytherins' strategy became more and more clear: Incapacitate Sylvie, who did not seem as quick on her feet as Elsa was, so they could focus on taking out one opponent first. It was a smart tactic, and seemed to be paying off so far.

But Elsa was not to be underestimated, and Henry, perhaps distracted by his own spell-success, would see... well, nothing, but he'd feel a thick blindfold snugly wrapping around his head, leaving him completely in the dark.

Between Bridget sniffling harder every second and Henry blindfolded, perhaps the Gryffindors had a chance to regroup and turn this around?

Bridget waited for the latest sneeze to pass before lining up her wand. She knew exactly what she was doing with the Ventus, plenty familiar with how it left a lingering breeze that pushed against your attempts to move. Elsa was where she wanted her, and the cold had not gotten to her so much that she would throw away this shot. Blue Flipendo zoomed to find its mark, and she celebrated with another sneeze.

Henry, in turn, had done a beautiful job of yeeting Sylvie's wand away to somewhere she'd hopefully have to spend a nice long time finding. All things considered, this was going well; it felt clear this was their second duel together, something like team chemistry making this go more smoothly. She missed Henry getting blindfolded, succumbing to another sneeze, but the slip of profanity cued her in. A concerned frown appeared beneath the sleeve covering the lower half of her face. "I'll try to call out incoming spells," she supplied, though she doubted it would help too much. At least Sylvie was also otherwise engaged.

HER WAND TOO? OH MY GOD. Sylvie groaned. "Nah, I didn't wanna duel anyways trust me guys, it's all good." It was fine. That was fine. (It wasn't, by the way, Sylvie was straight up waffling. She wanted to participate, but perhaps the Slytherins were scared of her... She was the best, after all.
