A warm cloak and Gryffindor scarf were wrapped tightly around Liz's neck. The new year had come, 20201 come and gone. Her year at Hogwarts was coming to a close- a long close, at least. Long as in "Half way through the year".. Almost. At least she had next year.. and the year after.. (and a few more) and the one after that until she didn't have to take any more school.

That was good, right?

She hadn't intended on doing anything out here in the snow. The- POURING- snow. She had later journaled on how it was "raining snow all around her- the delicate snow "pounding" gently onto her flesh, in whom was enveloped inside a jacket- (or as she worded it "burrito of not cold")"
Overall she had had a nice time, which was no concern. Just- simple snow frolicking- for fun-I think.

Was snow fun? Sure, Eliza didn't care much for it- nor did she like it.. the aesthetic was cool. Peaceful- imperfect, temporary. (a waste of time)

She sat waiting for a while. As the snow doused her. She watched her rat burrow underneath a tiny fort she had made it. A little Igloo, equipped with tiny windows whom it (the rat, Big Mac) could peek it's little snout out of in appreciation of his owner. It was fun, watching him. Had he seen snow? She was not sure. Born and raised in captivity? Most likely.

"SNOW? WHAT THE HELL? Well- UwU." Cody said, as he pulled on his short shorts made to fit an average 5 year old so it warmed him up, kinda. He would be in such a surprise if he would go outside.

He walked outside, putting on his shirt and adjusting it. His shirt was whiter than goat's milk, the pants were as well.

He saw Eliza. "Yo, what's up? And don't say the sun or the sky. I literally fried someone for saying that."

He smiled, ran to her like a toddler meeting another. He was excited. He missed having friends that wouldn't sling spells at him.

But, he couldn't resist doing one thing. He stomped on her foot once he got there.

"Hi fwiend. UwU."

He kicked a handful of snow around, deciding to pick up what he had so far. The handful of snow.

He drew back his arm, his face menacing. Well, just as menacing as a bunny rabbit.

In his hand had a snowball packed together. He was ready to throw, but, something seemed to stop him. His eyes drew away from her and he turned his attention to a cat.

"CRAP CRAP CRAP! IT'S IT- IT IS SO HIDEOUS!"

She pet the rat, looking down and chuckling. Just then, Liz heard a familiar voice. 'Cody!'

She had met the first year only a few days ago. It was still good to see him in the falls and lunch room. Had she stopped to chat? Once or twice. He was nice! Really nice! Nicer than most anyone there!! (Except for the few friends Eliza had made.) He waddled her way, and in her opinion looked like an... an.. Ewok? Yes, from the American movie Star Wars. She'd heard of it, but never really seen it.

"Cody!" She laughed, picking up the rat beside her. She placed it in her pocket and a large mound stuck it's nose and paws out, flailing. It stopped and squeaked, plopping it's little arms down on the rim of the pocket. She laughed as she watched her friend play in the snow, picking up bits and rolling it into a ball. He stopped abruptly, looking over at something.

"Crap Crap Crap!"

She heard him shout before she looked over at what his eyes were pointing to. There, next to them, was a cat. Rather small, in fact.

"Cody, what's wrong-" She watched him flail around in terror from.. a kitty cat. A simple, small cat.

"I'M FREAKING ALLERGIC TO CATS!" Cody said, adding one word to the statement. "Lizard." A new name for Eliza if Cody decided to stick with it, it might just be Liz, but, well, Cody was in the middle of freaking out, when he noticed a mouse.

"THROW THE DANG RAT! THE MOUSE SHOULD FOLLOW!" If the mat should be a pet, which was- well- not odd, to say the least, about Hogwartsian students. So odd, how muggles, especially the No-majs he knew growing up. They loved to make a mockery of witches and wizards and goblins on Halloween day, and Cody would always cry.

Maybe that's how a pet is supposed to make someone feel.

"You know what? C'mon Liz, let's uh- play in the snow!" He said as his mood drastically changed, the eyes darting back and forth, clearly not sussy at all, even if it might be, and probably should be watched.

He ran like a rag doll being held outside a car window driving at a high speed. He was so paranoid. But... he didn't sneeze? He didn't break out? He reached down to pet the cat. Touching the fur was all it took to tell Cody that Freddy had fooled Cody once again. Oh and Cody believed it for six years. That's half of his life right there.

"FREDDY I HATE YOU!" Cody said. knowing full well that Winter Break was over and his new stepbrothers as well as his stupid twin have enrolled at Hogwarts.

”Uh..” Eliza watched as Cody went from happy to angry to sad then back over again (not sad- more confused and annoyed-). It was funny, honestly, watching him throw a tantrum like a little kid. He was different than every one at Hogwarts.

She looked over at Cody as he eyed the rat. ”No.” she shoved the rat back into her pocket, her noise turning a delicate rosy pink (mostly- from the cold..)

She listened to him shout at his twin (*he had a twin?* she later thought that night) as she smiled devilishly. Carefully, she took her hands out of her black, silky gloves, and set them next to her. She chuckled quietly, picking up a handful of snow and molding it quietly. As Cody continued to pat the kitten quietly, she slowly raised the snow ball in her hand and prepared to strike.
*three.. two.. one..!* Liza counted in her head and greeted it at the child.

She watched it gracefully flow through the air, and chuckled, as it flung down and landed on his tiny little head. She’d never done anything like that, anything so evil before. It was fun. Being somewhat of a rebellious student. She had formed a couple extras in case the little termite decided to.. strike back.

The boy heard a countdown, starting at three, despite the fact he was hit with a snowball, he groaned, then perked back up, saying one line.

"It's the final countdownnnn." Could anyone understand that reference? Perhaps. But Cody listened to muggle music more than he cared to. He wasn't that big of a fan of the weird sisters.

"Oh dear. I think that snowball escaped the palm of your hand. Shall I return it?" Cody said, now wadding up a few snow and attempting to compact it into a snowball. But then he noticed the pile of snowballs near her.

A gulp. Cody was going to regret this, regret doing this, wasn't he? He finished making one snowball, then drew back his arm. Without holding back, he slammed his eyelids closed and threw the snowball. It must've been fate cause Cody successfully hit Eliza.

A slight tremor however, made Cody appear weak. He didn't want to be pegged with another snowball, but he also wanted to, confusion cloaked Cody's opinion. His opinion of Eliza. Not that he loved her as someone to date, but rather as a friend.

He smiled, and made sure to grin at her as much as possible.

Liz turned her head just in time to meet a snowball hitting her cheek. She laughed after momentarily stumbling, and grabbed about four from her stock pile. She smirked, hurling the balls at the ¨smol child¨ standing behind a small hill.

She chuckled, and threw two of them simultaneously at him, as she sat back on the bench. She paused before saying ¨And don´t think I don´t get your silly references, Cod face!¨ Her face turned a pale red as she laughed at the silly name she called him. Ducking back to see if he was throwing another, she slid and fell on the icy pavement.

Her rear end collided with the ground before she looked up again to see her rat soaring through the air and landing in the snow. She expected to see another snowball, but when she slid across the snow and scrambled to retrieve her sinking mouse, none impaled her.

Liz snatched Chonky off the powdery pile he landed on, and she looked up, panting. Snow was tiring! Playing in it was even more! She looked back up at Cody who was sitting behind his small snow mound, and she pulled out her wand, considering a snowy enchantment. Reconsidering, she chuckled and looked over once more before standing up and shouting ¨Truce?!¨

"COD FACE?" Cody yelled, perhaps a little suspiciously and joyously simontaniously. "What provoked that?" Maybe Cody liked the name. It made him sound fishy. And that was Cody's whole purpose.

"Truce." He said. He probably should've avoided throwing a snowball, but he was being, well, Cody. Or... Fishy. He packed a snowball or two together, rearing his left and right arm back. Ready to throw, Cody would miss. He was a horrible aim with both arms. Decent if it was only his right arm.

But it wasn't. Oh, right. Cody had something he needed to do. He needed to see @Eliza Corrids over at the Charms classroom. He still had a question, but probably was afraid of the Charms Professor @Zoë Fresnel, of how she might judge Cody, because, well, Cody fell asleep in her class. And yet, he still retained enough knowledge to cast a spell. But, he wanted to actually cast them perfectly. Is it possible?

Maybe Eliza could help him, perhaps.

"Hey, I'll see you in the Charms class? Right?" He said, his epression a little perplexed, but then just turned softer, and less ferocious.

He was prepared to leave. And that he was. He bid farewell to Eliza, and got ready for Charms, however soon it was.
