Sometime Before Winter Break

After the last duelling round, the Hufflepuffs really had to step up their game in the team practices. Willow especially was hard on herself, trying to perfect her spell spread ability and ability to cast under every distraction. The pressure that seemed to build on her shoulders making her end up with backfires and misses all over the duelling piste. The fact that their first round was up against Slytherin was really just... a disaster waiting to happen. First place against last place was sure to be a duel to watch, but sadly all people did was watch Hufflepuff lose. It was the captain's job to instill hope and an unbeatable positive attitude to come back for next round. Willow's goal... was to not be the last place house this year. So far it wasn't looking good.

Most of the students and other captains had left the practice already, leaving Willow the last one in the room. There were no other teams scheduled for today, so unless students were coming in to do individual practice the club would remain empty. Her hair was tied up into a ponytail that had some ends that had come loose from practice and running around like a madman. She was wearing some basic athletic clothes of a light pink tank top and a pair of black shorts. Despite it being cold weather season, making the insides of the stone castle colder than normal, she always got overheated during practice. She had sweatpants on standby for the walk back to her dorm.

Her head perked up at the sound of someone coming into the Duelling Club. It was a familiar Gryffindor, Lamik Fillestar. He was a year above her and a successful duellist, she feared the day she might have to go up against him. While they had never personally interacted, she felt a familiarity with all of the duelling teams just from how much they interacted on the piste. "Hiya! Lamik, right? Hufflepuff just finished up practicing so I'll get out of your hair in a second. Who ya practicing with?" An innocent question but Willow hoped it would give her a small insight into who he might be paired up with next stage.
