The Basement Fall
Interacting with: Pizza Rat
Serena had no idea where she was going. Each room was strange. This one was lined with bottles, everywhere she could see. It had a funky smell... like bleach or something used in toilets perhaps? Cleaning products, she was sure but why there was so many knocked over in the middle of a dungeon was beyond her. This was not a storeroom. She managed to avoid breaking any more of them in her attempt to follow the dhampir.
But she had lost sight of him a while back. All she was going on was his words. He did not mention a fork in the path but there appeared to be one. "Shit... what the hell do we do, Pizza?" She mumbled as she quickly looked left to right. Her head flickered between the two constantly, unsure of what to do. Where would Ethen be? Where was Howard? Was Atlas down one of these? Honestly, she had no idea.
The right side continued to line itself with bottles. Perhaps that was a smart plan - follow the bottles. The left seemed to be easier to move through though. "Any idea, buddy?" She whispered softly, trying to figure out which way to go in the hopes that Pizza Rat turned around and went 'oh yes, this path is definitely the way'. "Where do we go...?" She mumbled, more to herself.
If Pizza indicated anything - even if it was just by looking in that direction - she would just go for it. If he made no movements whatsoever, she would randomly pick one regardless. There was nothing else she could think of doing. She just wanted to find Howard again. It was really that simple. She should have been focused on Ethen or Atlas or anyone else but being alone scared her. Knowing Howard was somewhere in front of her, somewhere closeby, was the only thing keeping her legs moving right now. It was why she was moving. She did not want to be alone. But she had no idea if he went left or right...

The Basement Fall
A bit of frustration and confusion began to set in for Atlas. She wondered if she had made the right call, it was seeming more and more like she hadn’t but she had no real way of knowing. Blinded by her need to ensure Ethen was okay, Atlas may have moved too rashly but it was too late to spend time wondering about what she could have done differently. Instead she was in a confusing room devised by some unknown madman with a propensity for traps and cryptic messaging.
This maze of incoherent scribbles had to have sense, she believed, but she was unsure if she was cunning enough or mad enough to see through the messages to their meaning. Her eyes searched the doors, the ground and walls for any extra clues. Any information that might yield some useful hint for her next move.
Any words that left her lips continued to be met with the same irritating silence. A reminder that she was no closer to her goal than when she had plummeted through the floor. Her nose continued to catch traces of bleach wafting through the air. The chemical smell was hard to miss but she had no idea where its source actually was. She was not exactly akin to a bloodhound and doubted that she would have the talents to sniff out the source so decided against wandering around the room sniffing.
Again she thought of the words as her eyes traced over the numbers. She had to force herself to recall that things were rarely what they seemed at the school. Puzzles and mysteries seemed commonplace and truth was often hidden behind all manner of spells. That remembrance didn’t exactly leave Atlas in an advantageous position. If anything it strengthened her frustration and made her wonder if she should have heeded the calls of her name. Perhaps they were on Ethen’s trail and she had just been too stubborn to listen.
Lifting her wand, Atlas decided she would try one thing before swallowing her pride. She could not abandon this strange room with at least trying something. “Revelio,” she said loudly, aiming her wand towards the wall with a 4. She had no real idea why she chose that wall, but nothing had drawn her attention about the other options. Even her spell might yield nothing. Part of her wished she could just start blasting walls down in search but she knew that she didn’t yet have the arsenal of spells required for such marauding. She would have to make do with what she had.
ACTION: Casting Revelio in the room, focusing on the far wall with the 4.

The Basement Fall
And so, on Dan went. Continuing to run. With no explanation on what happened, here he was. Running blindly into the Dungeons, once bloody again.
Dan kept the frustration at bay by reminding him that it was to help the Huff n Puffs save someone. Ethan, assumedly. So on he ran after Henry and the others. He cared not how dirty his bare feet were getting; he could always shower after this. He had planned to do that anyway, to de-stress. But now he might do it for cleanliness too.
He then heard Henry call out to him and Scarlet. Or rather, hew assumed that he was who Henry meant when he said Captain. He said there would be several pathways, and that he was going right.
Dan knew from multiple sources that splitting up is a stupid idea, so he was at least going to make sure Henry wasn't alone.
Dan kept running, and eventually reached the paths. Once he did, he turned sharply and headed to the right after Henry. Being alone down here in the Dungeons was dangerous.
"Henry, can ye slow down fer fucks sake?! Don't go in the dungeons alone, ya numpty! Wait fer me to catch up!!"
