Lessie's Letters
Dear Mom and Dad,
I apologize for not writing sooner. I'm afraid I've been rather busy with my studies. However, I was able to take some time to write to you. I have been very well here at Hogwarts. I wouldn't trade going to another school. Lessons are challenging but very interesting. I have to say that History of Magic is quite possibly my favorite class. Its a bit different from the time Dad was in school. Thats probably because Professor Binns is no longer teaching.
Anyway, I have also taken your advice and have tried to make some friends. My first friend is a girl named Mae Winters. We started as pen pals and have become quite close. I think that she is my closest friend here. I have also met four other people: Kyle Barbosa, Odette Haven, Lucien Escanora, and Amandea Campbell. They all seem quite nice and I hope to get to know them petter in the future.
Both Kyle and Odette like to write like I do. Kyle also likes to draw, which I might say he is very good at. Both Amandea and Odette enjoy music and seem to now how to play quite a few instruments. Lucien is very good at potions and says he wants to become a healer.
So far I have not met anyone from Gryffindor, Dad's house. I'm hoping that I might have the opportunity some time later on. This school has a lot of students and a lot of opportunities to meet them. I just hope that I can be bold enough to try and meet others.
Anyway, I hope you both are well and that you don't over work yourselves. I will write again when I have the opportunity.
