Dozing Finished

Aravis looked at the girl and laughed. "Your mother was a Slytherin Head Girl? My grandfather was a head boy in his times. It's not a grand accomplishment. Also for your information I have gotten in tons of hands on fights thank you very much." Aravis said with a scoff followed by an eye roll. Ami was starting to be less of a distraction and more of an annoying pest in Aravis's view. 

"Oh? Army hm? Go ahead. Send a bunch of people over. If the army even dares to attack a British family I can guarantee that it will start a war." Aravis made a fake pouty face before sliding her index finger down her cheek making a crying gesture. 

"An all out war could wipe the pitiful horrible muggles." She said to Ami with a sickening smile plastered across her face. Of course she didn't actually hate muggles, she just wanted to annoy Ami. "Now now you bothersome mouse, this snake has better places to be and better people to talk to. Do your best to stay out of my way...it would be a shame if something happened to you. Tata!" The black haired girl said with a wave before sauntering off once more.

Ami stood there, fuming, as Aravis strutted off. That conceited peacock of a girl needed to be taken down a level, but Ami didn't know how to do it- after all, Hufflepuffs sought resolution, not conflict. Sighing, Ami turned back to face the glistening water. If Aravis wanted a fight, she would have one- but for now, she'd let the mosquito bite lie where it was, and not scratch and aggravate it. Once again, there was the whole resolution, not conflict thing. She let Aravis leave without another word, silently thinking through their whole "conversation" if you could even call it that. Where had it all gone so horribly wrong? With an uneasy feeling in her stomach, Ami had the feeling that this whole thing was entirely her fault...

Defeated, Ami turned to trod the well-worn path that Aravis had just exited on, heading back to the stonily indifferent castle. Imagine all of the drama the castle had seen... maybe this whole rivalry/argument thing was just stupid and meaningless. Maybe her bed would provide some welcome answers... Only one way to find out. Opting to skip dinner, Ami headed back to the Hufflepuff common room, ready to hit the sheets and sleep.
