The Gathering Closed

Youssuf entered the classroom with the relaxed, graceful gait of a cat. His work was all complete, and he always got either Outstandings or Exceeds Expectations (especially in Charms, DADA and History of Magic)! He'd just come to hang out with some friends. He saw Anna there, the girl who'd invited him. And Vicky, the kid Ravenclaw he'd met during their snowfight in the grounds. They were best friends now, he'd heard; always together.
He bowed to them both in turn silently (Respect To An Equal). Then he said, "I think I'm early, huh? Ah well. Y'all study. I am certainly not doing so; all my work is done and all my grades are mostly Outstandings. And some EEs."
Youssuf walked towards another table and took off his schoolbag. He certainly wasn't studying on this beautiful day. Instead, he sat down and started reading his book, Dune Messiah. One of the great science fiction classics.
He took out a thermos of coffee, now lukewarm. Just how he liked it. He sipped from it, and grimaced. FAR too sweet. Ah well. Youssuf removed another item from his bag; a packet of sandwiches he'd stolen from the breakfast table. He munched on a corn and chicken one. You'd think, with all he ate, that he might get fat, huh? But it wasn't so. He remained just as streamlined and fast, cause he exercised every morning (like his coach had drilled him to).

Life was good.

Winter had always done her work in a somewhat quick manner and so she would have already been mostly finished studying in the remaining time of class. What she hadn't finished she would normally do during the night being she had a tough time falling to sleep and so she decided she would go to be respectful. Not only would it give her time to relax with a friend, or friends depending on who would be joining them but she would also be able to wind down a bit and perhaps write to Xeno, her Beauxbatons bestie!

She had stopped by her dorm to get changed out of her school robes and into something more comfortable before making her way to the study with a small bunny-shaped bag that rested on her side, the strap resting on her shoulder. She knew she only needed a few things being the study held most things needed for notes and or letters. It hadn't taken long for her to make her way to the entrance, she heard multiple voices and she gulped being she hadn't recognized any but one. She sighed before walking in to see Anna with another girl and a very respectful boy that bowed in greeting to the others.

A small smile creeped onto her face as her bright red eyes scanned the two unfarmilliar faces. "h-hi I'm Winter...Winter Wolfhartz, its a pleasure to meet you both!" she slowly made her way to one of the darker areas of the room, she wasn't too fond of the light and so she did what would be fair to them all. "I hope you don't mind.. I'm already finished with my homework and studies and so ill just be drawing or something of the sort..." she was quiet as usual but she made sure people could hear her, she was still doing her best to get good with talking even if though seemed that nothing had changed.

Maria wasn't expecting to receive an invitation to the study session from someone, so when someone gave her that. She went to her dorm and changed into her new outfit. They're doing that, so they look pretty. Not to mention, having the chance to talk to them, and let them play with Moonlight if her bunny decided to not be so timid towards them.
Once Maria wore her new outfit, and prepared Moonlight's stuff in their carrier. She gently put Moonlight into their carrier with some toys, got some books about herbs, potions, and magical creatures, and went to the study room.

It took them a while to get to the study room, because of how confusing Hogwarts is. But she was able to make it to the study room. "Hello. I am here for the study session." said Maria, who has their invitation with them.
She looked down at the carrier for a bit, walked off to the table to put her books down, and gently took Moonlight out of the carrier. The bunny was gnawing when they saw the other students, but Maria petted their head in order to calm them down. Taking out the plastic bag filled with apple slices from the carrier's pocket, she gave Moonlight a snack to chew on, because Maria knows her bunny loves them.
Moonlight was happily chewing on it until it was gone, and rested in Maria's arms like the adorable fluff ball they are.
'They are so cute and small.' thought Maria, who was happy to be able to hold them.

Youssuf smiled at Lizzy. She was a fellow book-lover, he recalled. He held up the book so she would see the title and the author. "It's Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline. I've read it before, of course. I just wanted to go through it again. It's fun, you should read it!"
"I see you're reading Divergent, eh? I've got the full set in my trunk, if you want the rest, I'll lend em to you someday. My personal favourite is Insurgent."
Youssuf looked at the quiet girl called Winter Wolfhartz. "A pleasure to meet you as well, Miss Wolfhartz."
He saw that another girl who'd entered had a rabbit. She fed her pet a few apple slices, purportedly to calm it down. It'd been gnawing at its fur. Huh. He'd never had any feelings towards rabbits. Not very chill creatures. They looked so...scared and cowardly all the time. Although they were cute, he admitted.
"Salud!" he said to the room at large, and then went back to his book. He'd just reached the part when Parzival earns Leopardon, and he loved the description of that robot. Youssuf was a book nerd; he remembered most stuff he'd read. He had an eidetic memory, he'd been told. Though no one ever suspected such a strong dude to be a nerd. Everyone thought he was a sporty person, he chuckled to himself. But Youssuf did have a great fitness regime; a jogging round about the Great Lake in the morning, followed by pushups, crunches, etc. etc. He didn't like it much, but it kept him in shape for Javelin Throw.
Looking around, he suddenly realised he was the only boy in a room full of girls. He blushed suddenly and focused his eyes on the book.

"Simon entered the study room, holding a bag of cookies and water bottles for everyone there. He did promise, and he always kept them.
His grades were fine- mostly O's and A's, occasionally E's. But having a calm time with people he was friends with sounded nice. He sat down at a table and saw @Victoria Asminy Honest there, next to another brown-haired girl. He also saw a girl and her Pygmy Puff and @Youssef Baid reading at a table with a pile of sandwiches.
They walked up to Youssef and took out a red cookie to give to them. "Here. I see we're the only, uh, boys here." he said, hesitating after the word. 'boy'. "Here's a cookie. Hope you like it."

Then he went to the young girl the the Pygmy Puff and picked around for a cookie, taking out a pink one. "Here's one for you too. Cute pet!"
Then he went over to Vicky and the brunette and took out two cookies for them- yellow and blue. "Hi Vicky! Glad you're here." He turned to the brunette who he was guessing was Vicky's friend. "What's your name? Mine's Simon Corbin." He hoped they liked his cookies ..unlike certain people whose names started with B and S that he'd never say again.

Last, he went to a girl- Lizzy- with hair that looked like it was cut with hedge scissors. "Uh, hi. I'm Simon, as you probably know... What's with the hair? Gee. If i had that hair style i'd shave it all off." He gave her a pity cookie, black colour, then he pointed at her book. "I've read that. It's pretty boring." He had read it for a school assignment and he personally found the ending of the last book stupid. He remembered when he threw the last book across the room after reading it. It wasn't actually boring, just weird and eventually stupid.

He sat down with a white haired girl and smiled. "Is it alright if i sit with you? I like to draw too." He handed her a blue, almost white cookie. "I'm Simon, what's your name?"

Winter smiled as she was greeted by Anna, her head bobbing up and down in response as she went to her seat. As the others in the room spoke of how nice it was to meet her a smile came across Winter's face as well as a faint blush when addressed as 'miss' by the boy, Youssuf. Upon taking her seat she continued greeting others that would enter the room later with a low "hello..!" as well as speaking her name.

"oh I just draw simple images really.. people, animals, and magical creatures!" she had pulled out a small notepad and flipped it open to a page where she had drawn herself as well as her dog Xena on the page beside it. She shrugged "I learned from my aunt!" So far everyone was nice and winter was enjoying her time here though she did feel quite awkward sitting alone with her gaze wandering around the room.

It all went silent near her for a while and so she decided to go off on her own and begin a new drawing, a thestral, such a beautiful, misunderstood creature that could only be seen by people who had seen death. She was so dug into drawing that when someone entered into the space around her they earned a slight jump from her. "h-huh oh yea of course!" she smiled "I'm winter.. its a pleasure to meet you Simon" she hesitated as she was handed an awfully pretty cookie "o-oh why thank you" her smile grew as she gently took the cookie from the Gryffindor student "I appreciate it very much Simon..!"

she waited for Simon to take a seat, her attention now away from her notepad and bag of different dark shades of pencil and currently on her peer.
