Amadea gave her fellow Hufflepuff a reassuring smile. Even though she had consented to the sketch, Amadea could tell that she was still nervous, and probably uncomfortable with it all. She sat down with Ami and turned to her.

"If we're going to make this just a casual sketch and it's un-posed and everything," Amadea began, "maybe we could all just sit here and talk while Kyden sketches. I'd love to get to know you guys better." She hoped the others felt the same way; it would be more than just a little embarrassing if they didn't. Not that it was a bad thing if they didn't want to talk; she understood how nice silence could be. She looked up at the sky again, searching for some of her constellations. Of course they weren't actually her constellations, but she had found them and named them, so in her mind, they were hers.

A cool breeze drifted across the tower, blowing Amadea's curls into her face. She sighed and pushed her hair behind her ears, turning back to Kyden and Ami. "If we're going to do this, let's do this now before we all freeze up here," she said laughing. "So what do you say?"

Kyden look at the two girls. "Ami, are you sure? I don't want you to feel pressured into me sketching you. And yeah just sit and we can all talk. I really just want it to be a casual none posed drawing. Again if you guys don't mind."

He was silent for a little bit waiting for them to say they were ready to be sketched or not. He chuckled softly when Amadea mentioned them freezing. "Well actually I highly doubt I will freeze. You 2 maybe but me nah. I like the cold. I used to play in the snow in shorts! It has never really bothered me."

He stopped talking. He was beginning to babble off again. He really hated when he did that. He looked at the 2 girls. "You know if I didn't know any better I would think the 2 of them where siblings," He thought to himself. It was true that the girls looked very much alike. Their hair was even similar.

"So I am pretty sure I know the answer but I have to ask are you two related some how because you guys really look a lot alike." He looked down at his book then back up and waited for the girls to answer.

Ami sat down, indicating that Amadea should sit down next to her. "No... don't think so," Ami smiled, glancing at Amadea. "But I haven't met a lot of my cousins, so there's- there's a f- fair chance that we could be d- distantly related." She laughed lightly, drawing her knees up to her chest. "And i- it's fine. Just sketch before I change my mind," Ami added quickly, in response to da Vinci. "Oh, I never caught your name, Mr. Slytherin. You look like a Kyle. A- are you a Kyle?" Ami asked suspiciously, squinting at da Vinci/Kyle.

Ami turned to look at Amadea conspiratorily. "He looks like a Kyle. Doesn't he? He just h- just has such a... Kyle-like face," Ami rambled on, trying not to let the silence lull. How did normal people have conversations? Why had she agreed to do this? Oh... please, Amadea, be the amazing Hufflepuff you are on the inside and save us all from this terrible mess I've gotten us all into, Ami prayed in her mind, hoping her fellow Hufflepuff would be as amazing as she knew she could be.

That didn't make any sense, Ami realized, but then again, neither did her usual train of thought.

After hearing Kyden's comment about how similar she and her fellow Hufflepuff looked, Amadea turned and studied the girl sitting next to her. She hoped it wasn't weird, but as she looked closer at Ami, she realized that the two did have many similarities; the same curly red hair and freckled cheeks. They seemed to be about the same height as well. Amadea wondered how she could have missed all of these similarities during all of the other times she had met Ami. She must have been too busy trying to make conversation.

"We do look really alike," Amadea exclaimed. "I have glasses though, and also blue eyes and Ami has brown eyes. But we are quite similar. I never really realized that before." She laughed quietly to herself. "I don't think we're related though. Ami you're from the United States, correct? I'm from London, so if we are related, it must be very very distantly related. Then again, if you think about it, everyone is related to each other somehow." Amadea went quiet as she realized she was rambling and let someone else have their turn talking.

Ami picked up the conversation, asking the Slytherin sketching the two what his name was, guessing on Kyle. Amadea was amazed at Ami's skills in guessing his name. She had gotten very close to his actual name. "Wow Ami, how'd you guess?" Amadea asked. "You're really close!"

Kyden looked back and forth between the two girls. He found it amazing that they had never noticed the resemblance that the two of them shared. "Well truthfully it wouldn't matter where you guys were raised. Families get split up. Sometimes family fight and never talk to siblings or cousins and what not. Heck there is always long lost twins to you know." He stopped talking. He had been thinking about is his family with the second sentence of his rant.

He picked up his sketch pad and writing utensils once more. He started to sketch the outline of the girls before going into detail. He looked up from his art work to answer Ami. "Well like Amadea said you are very close. My name isn't Kyle. However it is close. My name is Kyden. Kyden Goodlow." He smiled at her before focusing once more on his art work.

He drew in silence for quite sometime before speaking. "So how are you guys liking it here. I mean are you looking forward to becoming second years? Truthfully I am so excited for when we can take on more classes. Oddly enough I absolutely love doing the homework. It's so fun. I don't even think I could pick a favorite class." He quickly stopped talking realizing he was starting to ramble off again!

"Kyden Goodlow. Damn, you're right, I was close," Ami said, impressed with herself. "I don't know, you just have a- a kinda..." she waved her hands vaguely at Kyden. "A kind Kyle-esque vibe, y'know? Oh, Amadea, I was born in London, yeah, but raised mostly in America," Ami added. "I just like to say I'm from America because it's easier for people to understand. Y'know, don't have to explain it all."

Ami sighed melodramatically at the mention of school and the burden that came with it. "Homework. I could never stand the stuff. It's like poison, but it doesn't kill you. Instead, it just wrings out your soul until you drop dead of your own accord. But you do you, boo." She leaned against the wall, looking up at the sky. While she wasn't the most artistically inclined soul out there, she still could appreciate the phenomenal view the Astronomy tower offered. A navy sky dotted with stars... of which only 5,000 are visible to the naked eye, Ami reminded herself. Even less, because of pollution, position within the solar system, and position within the galaxy itself. Ami sighed happily to herself, pleased that she still remember some basic, nerdy facts.

Amadea smiled at Ami's explanation of Kyden's name. She tilted her head and looked at him. She had to admit, he did kind of have a Kyle vibe to him, not that it meant anything. The fact that she thought he had a vibe was probably not a good thing. Maybe she was imagining things.

She looked at Ami again. She did have to admit that the resemblance between them was uncanny, but she doubted very much that the two were related. Amadea could trace her family history back to the olden times, and she was certain there was no one with the last name Procoppio in the family tree. "Even though we're not related, I think it would be cool if we were," Amadea offered. "Finding a long lost relative is only something you hear about in the movies and in books. It would be cool if it happened in real life."

The trio sat in silence after this for a little while, the only sounds being the breeze and Kyden's pencil scratching against paper as he drew. Then he began talking about school and homework. Ami made it very clear that she despised doing homework, using very vivid personification to prove her point. Amadea smiled. "Personally, I like school," she said. "I don't mind doing the homework, but I am kind of good at procrastinating. But when I do homework it takes me a very long time because I like to be detailed and include every single fact possible I can in a question. It gets a bit tedious, but I do enjoy learning about everything."

"Well I don't know I mean even if you think you know everyone in your family you truthfully never know the secrets that a family holds always.  What if for example say her father is your uncle but on your grandpa's side. Your grandfather could have had two girlfriends at the time," Kyden said thinking of a situation he knew about from the orphanage.

He looked at his drawing. It was almost complete but something just wasn't quite right. Finally he figured out how to give it the oomph of creativeness he was missing. "I am done drawing you guys. I am just working on the background now." He looked up at the two girls. They really could be cousins if not siblings.

He looked at the sky knowing that it was going to be morning eventually. He wasn't even really sure of the time. However it seemed that the trio had been up on the Astronomy Tower for quite sometime. Kyden found that he was enjoying the company of both girls. Even if his ears were still ringing from the banshee like scream Ami had produced earlier.

"I love school. I mean I guess you can tell. I am a writer on the Slytherin Newspaper, I am on the Quidditch Team, and I am Prefect for Slytherin. I have all my homework done and am eagerly awaiting more. It's funny really before Hogwarts I hated school. Anyway I am done."

He turned his sketchbook around for the girls to see. The picture showed both the girls seated and engaged in conversation behind them the stars spelled out each of their names.

Ami shook her head in awe as Kyden talked about loving school. Growing more comfortable around the two students, her stutter had disappeared (funny how quickly it came and went), and she began to talk a little bit more. "Newspaper, Prefect, and Quidditch? That must be a lot to handle- imagine the workload, the stress." She laughed, and added, "It'd all just collapse on top of me if I even attempted to do that. I'll just stick to Newspaper, thanks. No athletic or leadership ability here."

When Kyden showed her the drawing, she couldn't help but gasp in mock horror. "Kyden!" she said in a scolding manner. "You made me too pretty!" She laughed, and added, "Kidding. Dude, this is legit amaaaazing," she drawled, sounding like every stereotypical American out there. "The stars are a nice touch, by the way. Ami and Amadea. Hey, did you sign it? Sign it!" Ami said encouragingly, pushing the sketchbook back to the Slytherin prefect. "It's awesome, Kyden."

Ami stood up, stretching her arms and yawning. "I think I'm going to go and try to catch some winks before I have to drag myself through classes tomorrow- no wait, today," she amended, checking her watch. "Amadea, you coming?" she asked her fellow Hufflepuff.

Amadea was impressed at the Slytherin's well-roundedness. He was quite involved, something Amadea was definitely not. She wondered how he balanced all of the work that must come with his titles. She kept quiet as the two other students continued on the conversation.

Kyden finished the sketch, flipping around the book so it faced the two girls. Amadea leaned in to inspect it closely. The sketch, despite how quickly it was drawn, showed her and her red-headed friend in vivid detail. He had captured the two during conversation; Amadea was smiling at Ami while she talked. The sketch looked so realistic, excepting for their names written out in the stars. It was a great finishing touch, she thought. Ami immediately began to praise the work and Amadea nodded along with what she was saying. "I agree," she added once Ami had pushed the sketchbook back towards Kyden. "It's a great sketch, especially so quickly. You are really talented."

She sat back, gazing up at the sky, realizing that the stars were beginning to fade as the sun barely peeked out from behind the horizon. She had no idea how long they had been up in the tower, but it must have been a while since it was already beginning to grow light again. Ami mentioned going back to the dorm in hopes of getting a little bit of sleep before classes started again in the morning.

"I'll come with you," Amadea said. "Maybe I can get a little bit of sleep...I don't know how much it will help though." She stood up, smoothing out her robes and tucking her hair behind her ear. She turned to Kyden. "Thanks again," she told him. "It's really a great sketch. I had a lot of fun talking tonight. Let's do it again sometime." She smiled one last time at him as she walked with Ami toward the steps back down the Astronomy Tower.
