A Villainous Healer

Prompt: You are a villian. Your superpower is the ability to heal all wounds. Submitted by UptootingOly on Writing Prompts

Jaxson Smith, a villain who goes by The Healer, smiled at the scientist before him.

“Yes sir, what can I do for you today?” Darla, his head scientist, spoke without looking up from repairing her crossbow.

“I need a new gun, one no one else has yet. It needs to do damage, considerably miserable damage. It needs to give me powers unimaginable to the forces trying to stop me.” Jaxson spoke, red faced and out of breath by the end of it.

“Yes sir, I’ll get right to it.” Darla placed the last bolt on her crossbow and stood up, sashaying over the the main villain in the room. Hesitantly, she placed her hand over his heart and laid her head on his shoulder. His arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer to him.

“Tell me, why do you always draw me in? Is it your looks? Or your smarts? You decide which and I will believe.” Jaxson’s southern accent heavy against her ear.

Darla giggles before nuzzling her head into his shoulder. “I do believe it is my smarts that draw you in sir. You once said you have a thing for the smarter girls in the world.”

Jaxson smiles and nods before placing his lips onto hers, his naturally tan skin turning a rosey shade of pink as her arms wrap around his neck. Slowly and reluctantly, he pulled away from her now swollen lips and took a step back before speaking, “We can not get distracted. No matter how much I want to,” Jaxson mumbled the latter part, complaining about how her lips felt to good to ever separate them from his.

*3 months later*

A knock on his door is heard before he watches it creak open. He begins to pull his comforter over his bare chest when he saw that it was Darla, returning the blanket to its previous position.

“Sir, I recommend you get dressed. You need to see this.” Darla face held excitement, nervousness, and anticipation, all silently urging the villain to get into his ripped skinny jeans quicker. She patiently waited at the door until Jaxson was right beside her, waiting to be lead to the thing that caused him to awaken earlier than necessary. She began to sped walk down the hall, leading him straight to her laboratory. Jaxson noticed this and began to ask why she was practically dragging him to her lab but quickly stopped when he saw what was on her lab table.

“Is it, done?” He asked hesitantly, nervous for failure.

Darla nodded and kissed Jaxson’s cheek, smiling as she picked up the gun and handed it to the villain. Jaxon’s hands shakily grabbed the gun, scared to drop it and ruin three months worth of works. Slowly, he raised it to his eye level and began to study it. The way the the grip was built specifically for his right hand, any other hand would feel uncomfortable holding it. He noticed the bright blue liquidy substance behind the hard plastic on each side of the gun, presumably the plasma she had used to power the gun. He saw that the tip of the gun was metal, and shaped into his signature shape, ‘If I shoot this enough, I could use the tip to burn my sign into a casualty.’

“I have to do a couple small things to it, but for the most part, yes, the plasma gun you requested is done.” Darla’s heavy british accent filled the room alongside the whirring machines. Jaxson smiled as he set down the gun, making his way to the scientist standing nearby. His lips found hers as she sighed into the kiss. Jaxson’s large, calloused hands find her bottom and give it a rough squeeze.

“There may be more later,” his blue eyes rake over the disheveled scientist in front of him, loving the sight of her face red, legs wobbling, hands aching to grab onto something, her core waiting to be touched, “But I do believe you have work to do, and it better be done by Thursday if you don’t want to get punished.” He turned and walked away from the aching woman in her lab.

Later that week, Jaxson walked into the lab, ignoring the annoyed look of the scientist at work. Darla turned around from the now perfect gun and faced the villain, a look of pure hope in her eyes and on her face.

“The gun, sir, is complete. There is a zero percent chance of it failing. I did not fail you sir.”

Jaxson smiled at the woman, feeling slightly pitiful for how the woman felt for him. His hands find their way around her waist as his lips find their way to hers. A whimper slips from her throat to his, receiving a groan in return.

“Let’s see the gun, then we can go have some fun.”

She nodded eagerly, ready to finally take care of the tension between them. Once they had finished, Darla wobbly-legged lead Jaxson to her lab, the plasma gun on it’s stand, waiting to kill.

“It’s fucking beautiful,” Jaxson said with a heavy accent, his hand reaching for it, “Let’s go now. I don’t want to wait to use this beauty.” Jaxson didn’t notice the frown on Darla’s face as he spoke, he never did. She smiled big and wide when he turned around. Jaxson saw the upset face for such a small time he thought he imagined it. He picked up the plasma gun with one hand and tossed Darla’s crossbow to her with the other. Quickly shoving the rest of the plastic plasma containers into his pocket, he sped walk to Darla, shoving his lips onto hers. His hand hesitantly reaches for hers, interlocking their fingers before he could regret even trying. He led her to their black Kia, opening her door and helping her sit down, trying to be a true gentleman to her. Darla’s hand covered her mouth, failing to suppress her giggles.

“What are you giggling about over there?” Jaxson’s accent filled the car, poking Darla in the side, joining in with her laughter. He starts up the car and begin the drive to the park, his hand still intertwined with the scientist’s. After a quiet 8 minutes drive, he pulled up to Oakmont Park. Sliding the gun into his large pocket, he gets out of the driver’s seat and walked over to Darla’s door, opening it for her.

“Why thank you, kind sir. Are you ready?”

Darla shamelessly pulled out her crossbow. This park had an area for people to practice with bows or crossbows. Loading it up, she aims it at a woman’s head and pulls the trigger.

“Well, I never said I was,” the arrow slid through the blonde’s head with screams from the surrounding people, “but I guess we are going anyway.”

Jaxson flawlessly pulls his gun out and begins to shot it at everyone that had started to run. The plasma started to burn away whatever that he aimed at, so he aimed at arms and legs before hearts and heads.

“Remember the rules?” Jaxson shouted out, hoping Darla had heard him over the chaos they had caused.

“Stay near you so you ca-” Darla screams as she got shot in the shoulder by a police officer. Jaxson ran over to Darla, aiming at everyone who could have been the one who shot her. He rapid fires and kills 6 more people before he hit the one who had hurt his scientist.

“J-Jaxson...let’s g-go.” Jaxson looks down, feet feeling like lead pillars. Darla’s white lab coat was stained red from her blood on the right side, her dominant side. Dazed, he bent down and picked up Darla, not caring about the blood that was now ruining his favorite outfit. His arms straightened out and he let her roll from his body onto the seat. He drove 100 miles per hour trying to get her home, to where he could heal her. In less than 3 minutes, Jaxson is carrying her into her lab, setting her down on the healing bed. He kissed her before taking her hands in his.

“Stay with me Darla, don’t close your eyes. I’ve got you.”

Darla’s eyes were beginning to roll back in her head when Jaxson began to speak. He started singing a song, and a faint blue light began to glow in both of their veins. As he continued, the glow became stronger and spread to the hole in her shoulder where the bullet had entered. By the end of his song, Darla was sitting up, completely healed. Her perfectly manicured hands pull on Jaxson’s collar until his lips were right in front of hers.

“I love you Jaxson Smith.”

“And I you, Darla Portman.”

Darla attaches her lips to Jaxson’s, and they both smile into the kiss, happy to always have each other.
