The boy lightly smiled. The memories of cleaning the Dueling Club still lingered on in his head. But Cody? Himself? Not as well as the cleaning was. Cody thrived for action, for drama, and that's why he was in the Dueling Club. A few hours prior to being on the way to the Dueling Club, the Part Goblin formed twenty pieces of papers, five of each color. Green had silver text on it, taunting the Slytherins as if they didn't come, the messages varied. The yellow papers had messages saying that the fire would be gone from Hufflepuff if their presence was not shown. The red stack simply said one word, duel. And the darker blue stack had a riddle on it, all the same since Cody wasn't creative enough to come up with riddles. It said, "Twas here where a lightning bolt revealed to everyone that they were of a exclusive yet dangerous snake band." The answer to that was Dueling Club, as Harry Potter revealed to others of his horrid legacy. Being a parseltongue.
And upon Cody's arrival at the dueling club, you'd see a unique sight, something not many have seen before. Cody was polishing up the room, getting the seats ready for the spectators, should there be any. The little "gremlin" started to hop all over the place, even bending down low to scrub off the dirt on the ground. Cody was excited, if not delighted! Eh, at the last moment, should anyone come in, Cody would be kicking down the chairs and laying them off to the side. There shall be no spectators today, unless someone looked like they were about to pass out, that was Cody's time to pause the game, drag the fallen opponent, if not woozy, to safety.
On Cody, was his wand, his wand ready to cast Periculum to start the game, in which he was awaiting for the duellers. Before he began, he also made sure he had three medicinial items learned in Potions with him. Burn healing paste, Bruise healing paste, and well, this wasn't learned in Potions, but rather, the same day Cody learned Incendio in Herbology. The Pompion Potion. If Cody had to use them, he would. Standing in the middle of the room, knocking chairs out of the way, was smiling brightly ready for the round to begin. Once Cody called it anyways.

@Clair Fernandez | @Lea Hirsch | @Henry Knight[font=times new roman] Upon getting up onto the duelling stage, Delilah realised this was actually her 3rd unofficial duel this year, she did love doing this. Younger students kept coming up to her and asking her to participate, likely from them hearing of her doing it for the others. She did recognise one of her opponents, the Hufflepuff. "It seems we meet again, Lea.".
Lea and Frost had stood against Del and Robert last year, and it hadn't ended too well for Lea unfortunately, but it did help secure the ravenclaws 2nd place standing in the 2020-2021 championship. Something Delilah could certainly say she was proud of. There wasn't any change her and Robert would've been able to defeat Ruby and Dmitri, but it was okay, she got over the loss.
The other people involved in the duel she didn't know, hopefully she would be able to get to know them, but for now, she didn't. But she was glad she got to share her love of duelling with them. It was hard to tell which way this duel was going to go, it could honestly go in any direction. But Delilah was hyped to find out, this was going to be a lot of fun.

Henry didn't have a lot planned for that day. There is only a few days left till the second stage, the stage slytherin would face aginest gryffindor. The teen have been feeling anxiety his next duel for a while.
Majority of his friends and even siblings are from the house of red and gold. There would be a slim chance for the third year not to go aginest someone who he knows. The Viridian Vipers are still undefeated, they will be facing another round with this title. Another round aginest a house that will want to take it from them...
Arriving in the dueling room, Henry choose a corner. Practicing strategies and fourth year spells, testing his endurance and mind when he saw something form. A unofficial duel between two ravenclaws and a hufflepuff headed by Cody.
Henry glanced around, the group seened to be one duelist short and he figured what better way to pratice for his actual duel then to participate in one.
Jogging over, Henry waved a little as he spoke"mind if I join?" directing the question to Cody. The teen would find a place besides his parther for the duel which turns out to be Lea Hirsch. The same hufflepuff he faced during the furst stage and nearly won aginest her because of luck and strategy mainly.
"It seems this time we're on the same team instead of different."
Henry spoke to the girl then heard the elder ravenclaw girl's comment. She to have faced Lea. The teen worried with how that duel turned out and how this one will to since the ravenclaw girl can split spells. A ability that Henry has been heavily invested in.
Slipping his hand into his inner pocket, the teen took out the familiar emerald Viper brooch given to him by his captains. The teen pinned it to his jacket then rubbed his forefinger once aginest it for luck.
Loki ran off to the side, standing on the opposite side of Cody Stevenson. Amber eyes watching the duel.
Henry took his position next to Lea, wand held in front. Eyes ahead. Emotions gone, drained from his face. Mind focus. The teen looked ahead as he whispered toward Lea, "Ready to blaze some birds?"

Fire was kind of essential to Hufflepuff- and no, not in the burning people sense. Rather, the hearth/fire place within the common room was important to the badger experience- as well as cookies and hot chocolate. The second year couldn't count the amount of times she had read while sitting near the fire to get that wonderful cozy feeling. And she liked duelling- it was a chance to prove her spellcasting abilities and be a part of a group. Even if they didn't win, she still enjoyed her teammates and the practices. And while not with her team, Lea would still sign up wondering how much this would be like a regular duel.
Lea would walk in, noticing the small Hufflepuff that had organized this event. If there still seemed to be some chairs to move to the side, the girl would help out until all had arrived or the chairs were all moved. "Th- thank you for setting this up." She'd nod her head in thanks, uncertain how she felt about a first year in charge of getting people to safety once unconscious. But he was a part of the duelling team and she had been a part of the duelling team as a first year as well, so it didn't seem her place to judge. Plus, Lea had already signed up and it really didn't make sense to quit now. Just don't get knocked out, then. Easier said than done.
A lot of familiar faces were here, but that was because they were on her team (Cody) or she had competed against them- and lost (Delilah, Henry). "Yep- I wonder if anything'll change." Time would tell, she supposed, before turning her attention to Henry. "Should prove interesting- I hope your win streak continues." Rather than her streak of losses was what she wouldn't say.
"Have fun," she'd whisper back. This certainly felt like it'd be an interesting duel.

Clair walked into the place and seen three other people standing there, well four, but Cody was shorter then everyone else, so he was the last one to be seen by Clair.
She nodded to Henry, he was a third year, and that meant he had way more spells then Clair, oh well.
She waved to the girl she did not know, in every way she hoped that the girl was a first year, but also guessed she was wrong.
She smiled at Delilah, "Hey! Ready to do something?" She had spoken confide but was feel much less so, at least this was not broom racing, where you could die.
And there was no house points or awards for winning So that made it better.
And lastly she looked at Cody. "hey! Thanks for.... Organizing this!"
She knew the Hufflepuff boy liked destroying things, he liked crazy wild and utterly horrify things, Clair was pretty sure that he would like to watch a few people burn for a while.
She was wearing a old pair of clothing that she did not care about, barn clothing that she had spent to much time cleaning to get the smell out, so now they smelled like a clean pair of clothing.
She took out her wand just to hold it, having it poke into your muggle styled pocket is very uncomfortable!
"ok let's go" she muttered.

The kids have arrived. Cody's best friend did arrive. But as always, Henry brought his horrid cat that influenced his allergies. But luckily the cat went on the opposing side.
Cody accepted the help to set up but then decided to take the seats down at the last moment, making it a private event, sort of. But what would make the youthful boy happy, was actually seeing some spells cast. Once the opponents settled into their set teams, he would cast Periculum to get their attention.
"Ahem Ahem. Thank you for coming, and thank you for joining the duel! Even if it wasn't an official one. We're dueling in a legal area, kinda. Just- ya know. Let's begin."
That being said, Cody was watching Delilah cast the Knockback Jinx at Henry, but yet the feline owner dodged it. Luckily.
That seemed pretty harsh of a spell. But it wasn't as harsh as Henry was probably going to try returning to the same one who attempted to knock him back and so, he attempted to cast the Full Body-Bind Curse, but nothing seemed to occur. Cody felt pity towards Henry, wishing his spellcasting actually work. Maybe he cast it wrong. Cody wouldn't know, as he didn't take that class yet.
And as for Clair and Lea, well- Lea cast Obscuro at Delilah and succeed, putting a blindfold over her eyes.
Last person casting was indeed Clair, and she was casting a Dancing Feet charm that Cody learned rather early in his year. But... it backfired. She was now dancing (Irish Dance). Cody didn't care enough about dancing to know the kind, so he just smiled and laughed.
One success, and that was the Blindfolding spell at Delilah.

At the start of the duel, Henry aimed his wand for the older ravenclaw as he spoke"Petrificus Tot- not quite finishing the spell when he spotted a knocback jinx headed directly toward him.
Leanimg to the side, the spell flew past. Hitting the ground a few feet away. Henry breathed a sigh of relief, not wanting to imagine the type of strength that the older ravenclaw can produce in a single spell. Henry shot a smile over to the girl as he playfully spoke"that wasn't for the championship last year, was it?" Lightly mentioning how the Vipers won the championship and still are a undefeated team while ravenclaw came in second. He hope that there wasn't any hard feelings between them because of their teams and duels.
Watching a blindfold tie itself around the older girl's eyes, Henry gave a quick nod and glance toward Lea as he spoke"nice shot, follow thr strategy," the teen felt a little bad that he couldn't be of more assistance but ir is still early in the duel so anything is possible. Phoenixes don't fall under pressure, they rise and he will to.
His eyes flickered toward Clair. His head ached for her, the girl's spell backfire. Momentarily forgetting they were on opposite teams, the teen leaveled his wand wanting to cast a healing spell but then remembered. He couldn't. This is a duel.
"Are you alright, Clair?"
All he good say. Meanwhile, Loki sat on rhe sidelines watching the duel. Gaze flickering over the spells and sparks flying, occasionally sending a glare toward Cody. The feline does have trust issues after all....
Henry leaves his wand, ready to continue. The blazing Phoenixes just have started and still have a lot of fire to blaze but maybe not cast any actual fire.... Henry hoped.

Clair was the last to cast and it turned out that her spell had backfired, hitting herself with dancing feet spell, this in a normal duel might not have been funny, but how? How had she back fired? Looking at her wand she wondered if she was holding it backwards or it it was broken, but it seemed fine, when Henry leveled his wand at her Clair wanted to duck, was he about to shoot her with so e spell? No thanks! But then he simply asked if she was ok which made Clair grin, glad he was still thinking about her, even if they were dueling against each other.
"well I'd be better if my spell had hit anything but me! But yes I'm fine" she could not help but laugh a bit, hopefully her next spell would work, hopefully!

Lea had cast Dancing Feet quite a bit when she was a first year. Now that didn't mean that she had experience dodging the spell, but she certainly knew what would happen if it hit. The good thing, at least for the hufflepuff, was that the spell didn't hit. Nor did it made it across to their team. She felt bad for the first year, but instead decided to focus on her own spell. Her focus would be on Delilah, casting a quick, "Obscuro!" in her direction.
The aim wasn't particularly great, nor the spell particularly speedy, but it was enough to catch the upper year of guard and that was what mattered. "Thanks- I will." It wasn't like her to deviate from it much unless the situation seemed to be offering too much of an advantage to the other side. "And it's alright- that seemed like a challenging spell. You got it next time." She didn't fully know how much pressure he put on himself, but the girl had witnessed some of it during their last duel. Hopefully her words would be of use, although perhaps they would backfire and only add more stress. But it was true- and focusing on dodging spells and casting your own could be quite the challenge. Maybe that was why they made a whole sport out of it.

Now, Delilah wasn't one to be petty, of course she wanted to win the championship for her house but it wasn't too big of a deal for her. But of course, she would bait the slytherin. She grinned, "Oh, you know it was." Right as she said that though, karma hit her like a brick. With a slap, her vision was entirely removed. Instinctively she knew what spell she had been hit with without even having heard the spells incantation.
With a sigh, she gave a small smile, "Nice hit." She laughed, mostly at herself and the amusing position she was in. She had to listen to the other spells going on, she realised Henry never actually cast anything, but upon Clair saying an incantation. Delilah heard a small explosion next to her. Although she heard from her that she was okay. She stood quietly, trying to focus on what was going on around her.
This duel certainly had more conversation than her real ones, she could see why, these people were nice and there was nothing at stake. I'm sure if Delilah had faced against Henry in a real duel, they would be a lot less friendly.
