He was sure that he could smell something strange, much like a toilet, on Hildegard's robes, but he couldn't be sure, as her robes were also drenched in lake water. Maybe it was just his imagination. The girl couldn't possibly have peed herself while she was in the lake, releasing her own ink, much like a squid, and doing what everyone did but never admitted?
"I think there's some vomit in your robe, Avery!" Dancelos pointed out. Avery looked down at his own drenched robes. Was there some specks of vomit on his robes? It was true that he hadn't been on the boat when Kit cleaned it with a charm (not that he knew it happened, since he was otherwise preoccupied in the water), but he hadn't thought he'd vomited on himself. Anyhow, even if some did get on the hem of his robes, it might've been mostly washed away or diluted by the lake water by now?
Avery shrugged, too tired now to rack his brain and figure this out. He was quite content just sitting back and listening as Hildegard asked Dancelos a bit about herself. His interested was piqued as he also wanted to learn a bit more about the first year. "Oooh, what are your hobbies? What do you like and dislike?" he asked Dancelos.

It was clear that Hildegard was blushing for a reason, but Dancelos couldn't blame her. After all, it can happen to anyone, right?
- Oh yes, it's your vomit! Just wash it, it smells terrible!
Dancelos continued after Hildegard.
+I don't think washing with water is enough, Avery, change your suitcase as soon as you get it, you're already wet.Avery nodded lightly. Hildegard looked somewhat relieved. Then, Hildegard wanted to communicate a bit, I think.
- Can Dancelos tell me a little more about yourself? I already know Avery from the train.
Avery sat back and continued.
-Oooh, what are your hobbies? What do you like and dislike?
This clearly made Dancelos happy and made Dancelos smile slightly.
+Hmm, okay, but then it's your turn. Let's start at the beginning, I'm Dancelos Grey. I am the second daughter of the Grey family. Maybe you've heard my last name before because of my family. My parents work in the ministry of magic. I live with my mom, dad, grandma and sister. There is a 6 year gap between me and my sister. She is studying at Hogwarts and is in the Ravenclaw building. If you say where you want to settle as a building, I think all buildings are good, what matters is what you do. I'm a big Quidditch fan. I support the Holyhead Harpies team. I think it's one of the best teams that shows the power of women. I went to the World Cup once, but it was really great. When I arrived, my voice was so hoarse from shouting that I couldn't speak for 3 days. So if you want to talk to someone about Quidditch, I don't think you can find anyone better than me. Also, thanks to my father, I have an interest in dueling. I also follow duels, although not as much as Quidditch. Also, I've always loved reading about famous old wizards and especially the raucous events when they hunted witches. I'm interested in astronomy, actually some people don't believe it, but I think there is some truth to it. I love chocolate and I have a chocolate frog collection. Huh! I think that's enough. I talked a lot. Now it's your turn."

-Okay... That was a lot, maybe too much, that's kind of an odd reply Schneider thought to herself when Dancelos started talking in details about her life.
Was she expected to do the same ? To talk in detail about her life too ? Hildegard did not really want to tell things again specially with Avery around who would just rehear her talk about the fact she disable or whatever else. So she thought of it deeply, a way to introduce herself without sounding like repeating herself too much. When she came up with something she replied :
-Hum I am Hildegard Schneider, a pure blood witch, I really love dueling...
She paused not really knowing what to say more, with all that fuss she forgot if she already explained her disability to Dancelos, it would really sound self centered if she said that again.
So she decided to keep it at that.
-Hum, i do not know what else to say, honnestly. The girl added.
Anyway are we there yet ? She asked in no one in particular.
Wanting to get in the land already, not that the view was bad or anything, she just undergo a traumatic experience and wanted to leave the place that would probably remind her of it for the following years in Hogwarts.

He found himself listening intently as Dancelos introduced herself. Avery eagerly took in every word, and honestly tried his very best not to interrupt her as she spoke, but he really wanted to talk more about everything she mentioned. Did he just happen to meet a really cool person? She went to a quidditch world cup? She knew about dueling, too? Were the Holyhead Harpies an all-women team?
"Wow, Dancelos," he managed to say as she finished her introduction. "I want to learn more about quidditch from you sometime! I only just heard about the sport last month, so I don't know much about it, but playing a sport like that at Hogwarts would be really cool, don't you think?" He was enraptured by quidditch by now.
He listened as Hildegard briefly said a few sentences about herself, but didn't reveal too much. Well, he was eager to talk about himself, so he launched onwards when it was his turn.
"Okay, so I'm not as interesting, but here we go. My parents grew up in China, but they came to the UK when they were studying, so I was born in London where they're currently working. They're both accountants, and they're quite strict about my studies and violin practice. I love playing the violin and hate it at the same time, so it's complicated. I'm also an only child, so I guess they have high expectations? Yeah, I don't really get it. But, I was super excited when I found out I could come to Hogwarts and learn magic. There are so many new things to learn about and explore! I never imagined that magic was real. I don't even know what classes I'll be excited about. Like, all of them? But I do know that I want to learn more about quidditch, Dancelos, and I might even want to try out for the team. Are you thinking about it too?" he asked, now catching his breath. Boy, was he excited.

Hildegard seemed a little taken aback by this long explanation of Dancelos, although this was a very short episode of Dancelos' life. Avery, unlike Hildegard, seemed fascinated.
- Wow,Dancelos.I want to learn more about quidditch from you sometime! I only just heard about the sport last month, so I don't know much about it, but playing a sport like that at Hogwarts would be really cool, don't you think?
Avery's answer made Dancelos very happy. She felt that he could agree with Avery.
+Yeah that would definitely be great and from what I've heard every house has its own team. I hope one day I can get in too. Also, whenever you want to talk about Quidditch, I'm here!
Hildegard then answered Dancelos' question.
-Hum I am Hildegard Schneider, a pure blood witch, I really love dueling...
Seriously? Did Hildegard ask her for such a short answer when she asked? Dancelos felt a little bad because after Hildegard's short answer, she seemed like a person who loved to talk about himself.
-Hum, i do not know what else to say, honnestly.Anyway are we there yet?
+My sister said there are dueling teams as well as Quidditch teams. I hope you get into one of them
It seemed like it was Avery's turn now. Avery hadn't lost any of his excitement before.

This answer lifted Dancelos' morale a little.
+So you play the violin. I like to listen to the violin. It is a really beautiful instrument, I would love to listen to you while you play the violin. And I have news that will make you happy. My sister said I could try Quidditch in freshman year, isn't it perfect?! I will definitely join, I don't know if I will be selected for the team. But it wouldn't hurt to try, right?
Dancelos paused and took a breath.
+So which house do you want to be chosen for or which house do you think you will go to?

Boat #5
Habib looked at his surroundings there were three other girls in his boat he heard two of them talking to each other he assumed that they had shared a compartment on the train with how well they were acquainted with one and other. He heard them talking about how cool Hogwarts was going to be. Habib couldn't help but chime in at this. "Yes, I heard it's rather amazing." Habib then turned to face them "Ah, apologies my name is-" Habib was interrupted by a loud shriek of GIANT SQUID. Habib turned and indeed saw a giant squid holding one of the students captive. Habib didn't care about that whoever that person was certainly wasn't his problem what he did care about was that giant squid he had never seen the Hogwarts one up close, he couldn't lose this chance. So against his better judgement, he took a deep breath and jumped into the lake. Of course, his boatmates were probably shocked after all he had seemingly without reason jumped into a lake that had clear evidence of a giant squid in it but he didn't care all that mattered to him was seeing that squid up close. He knew that at most he had 2 minutes before he had to go get some air. With that in mind, Habib swam closer to his intended target. When he got close enough to it he began to swim around it studying and analyzing. Habib wished he had brought some sort of notebook but that was in his trunk. He however tried to keep all of this in mind the squid seemed to be a prime version of his species. Habib began to feel his lungs get inflamed carp he was out of time. ok, keep calm if I flail this will just make it worse. Then he felt something grip his waist it was the squid it pushed him upwards Habib grabbed a scale on his way upwards he wanted a memento of this experience. The squid gripped him harder and pushed him upwards for air. Habib let out a gasp. He looked downwards and said "Thanks, big guy." With that, he swam back to his boat once he was stable he pocketed the scale and gave his boatmates a smug grin "Ah yes where was I right my name well it's Habib Acropolis Showman wonder." Habib was sure he had given a strong impression whether or not it was good would remain to be seen.

Boats, Grace thought. We're going to the school on... boats. She didn't know what she expected to happen, but it wasn't being escorted to the school on tiny rowboats, that's for sure. She'd never been on a boat before, though she was sure it would be like the train. Yes, the train, with its lurching and bumping, just like these boats.
Except the train didn't make her want to purge everything in her stomach.
She took a few moments to close her eyes and breathe slowly, in through the nose, out through the mouth. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Better, she thought, taking the next few moments to open her eyes and look around at the others in her boat. First-years, she guessed. They looked very young, like her. They all seemed fine, like they had been on boats tons of times and like they weren't going to throw up at any second.
Grace changed her focus to the school in front of them, across the rest of the lake. It was beautiful, the way it towered above them all. The candles in the windows looked like stars in the night sky. Grace didn't really create, but in this moment, she was inspired. For just a second, she could hear nothing but the gentle laps of water against the boats as they traveled, and she could see nothing but the castle, standing there in beauty and grace. This was what she'd been waiting her whole life for. She didn't even feel sick anymore. Just amazed. Bewildered. Inspired. At peace.
Until she heard a scream and a giant splash. And another. And... another? How many kids had fallen or jumped in? They know there's a squid, right? Grace furrowed her brow in concern. There's no way I'm the only one with parents who are alumni, parents who told me all about the dangers at this school.
All at once, everyone stood up on their respective boats to see what on earth had just happened. Grace mustered enough courage to stand up herself just in time to see one kid fished out and another pop her head out of the water holding... glasses. If this first-day boat ride is any indicator of how this school year was going to go, Grace was even more nervous than before. She sat back down and started breathing again. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In the nose, out the mouth. In the nose, out the mouth....
