It was originally a ring... Pet Solo

[font=book antiqua] [font=book antiqua]Ever since Anastasia discovered that she could take a pet with her to Hogwarts, she had wanted a pet. A cat. But she hadn't dared ask her parents. So she had arrived at Hogwarts with her trunk and the regret of not having dared to ask.
She had been allocated to Ravenclaw, as she wished. She got excellent grades on all her assignments. When she went home for the Christmas holidays, she had decided that she would have a ferret for this event.
Why a ferret? Simply because Anastasia had been researching unusual pets and had only seen a ferret at Hogwarts. Researching the animal, she discovered that it would be a good fit for her character. Anastasia had asked her parents if she could have a ferret. And her parents agreed.
As Anastasia and her mother went Christmas shopping, they stopped by the magic menagerie. The Ravenclaw was determined to have a ferret. A twilight animal. Being a fairly nocturnal girl, who has always preferred night to day, this was great. Besides, Anastasia had seen pictures. Ferrets are incredibly cute animals. The albino ferrets fascinated Anastasia. But if she didn't see one, it didn't matter. The Ravenclaw just had to like the ferret and the ferret had to like Anastasia.
Anastasia entered the shop, quite excited. There was another girl, a redhead, whom Anastasia knew as Juniper, who was also buying a ferret. The two Varneys watched Juniper and her family leave the shop before approaching the ferrets. Anastasia immediately flashed on a young kit. She asked the seller for her age and name, and he told her that the ferret had been born in January and did not yet have a name.
The baby ferret was beautiful. It was a female, with a brown body and a white head, with a brown mask-like patch around her eyes. Her dark eyes were incredibly beautiful. As a baby, she curled up in Anastasia's hands, spellbound. She was going to adopt this ferret. That was a promise.
The vendor took the ferret and gently placed it in Anastasia's hands. With the ferret in her arms, Anastasia noticed the many rings she was wearing that day, especially her black onyx ring, a gift from her father for her eleventh birthday.
━ Onyx... I will call her Onyx.
After talking practical advice and paying the seller, Anastasia and her mother leave the shop with a cage. And inside, Onyx, calmly asleep. They finished their Christmas shopping and returned to Scotland with Floo Powder.
