Delilah was really excited for her first trip, even if it was into the forbidden forest, which she had heard many nasty stories about, but Professor Yornikovych and Professor Scheinberg were there to keep them safe if anything was to happen. She looked around at the group of slytherins, she hadn't met many of them and if she had then she only had short encounters with them. So she just went up to the closest person to her, a boy that she believed was on the Slytherin Quidditch team, although she wasn't sure of his name. "Umm..hi, do you want to be my partner? I'm Delilah." She asked the taller Slytherin boy timidly. She was mainly timid because she was a little scared about the forest, but the fact he was a stranger made it worse, but she was getting used to talking to new people, little by little.
She heard people complaining about the fact there was a chance of rain and the short Ravenclaw scoffed, turning to the Slytherin and saying, "We are in Scotland, when is there not a chance of rain?" With a laugh. The little girl had lived in the Scottish Highlands her entire life, you get used to the constant downpour, evidently some of the English or Welsh students who don't get nearly as much rain weren't as used to it.

Jake was exited but now he had butterfly's in his stomach the forbidden forest always looked creepy and not well known to be um.. let me say a place to walk around.... He had seen Jason which they were best friends which meant they were probably partners. He followed the Head of House and the Ravenclaw Head of House they stopped and they told everyone to check their bags and also to be with a partner... But he had to choose a Ravenclaw partner which was alright with him he saw some Ravenclaw girls and boys but he didn't know which one he wanted to ask to pair up with.
But actually he wanted to stay with the Head of House because it would most likely be more comfortable and safe he proposed. He saw that Bloom the Ravenclaw had the same idea or might now want to partner up with anybody. He shuffled over to Mrs. Leonie, "Hey HoH can I go with you and Mr. Sergei on this trip I think it will be more safer and not as overwhelming." He stood next to her with a proud smile waiting for her to say something to him or his fellow friends.
Action: Stand by Head of House Leonie Scheinberg.

Adam looked up at the clouds a little nervously. He wasn't afraid of rain itself, but something about the thought of being in the Forbidden Forest during a thunderstorm creeped him out. He'd been surprised that this was the location Professors Yornikovych and Scheinberg had chosen for their trip. His mother had been surprised, too. She'd sent the permission slip back anyways, though, and here Adam was at the edge of the forest, ready to go.
Adam was happy to be out here, despite the threatening skies. He'd felt kind of distant from his house this year, and this was just the kind of thing that could help them draw closer together. Maybe he'd make some new friends in Slytherin, too, and finally prove his brother wrong about what people in the House of Snakes were like. Yeah, that'd be fun.
Right now, it looked like priority number one for Adam was finding a partner for the rest of the trip. Lots of kids were standing around, waiting to group up, and Adam wondered how many of them knew other people that would be on this trip. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the small Ravenclaw girl that had come into the Trophy Room just as he'd left, about a week ago. She looked like she was waiting for someone -- weren't they all? Walking up to her, Adam smiled and introduced himself. "Hi! I don't think we ever really met. I'm Adam. Do you have a partner yet?"
Adam was sure that, even though there were plenty of risks, this would be quite the enjoyable experience. They had both House Heads to look after them, right? How much could really go wrong?

Dmitri had been trailing behind the group as, a moment ago, they trekked from the castle to the entrance to the Forbidden Forest. He has been in his head the whole time, worrying and getting anxious about their little trip. The little nerd that he is, he has read several texts about the horrors of Hogwarts' Forbidden Forest before the actual day of the trip--from factual records to published journals--and needless to say, he now knew better than most students why the Forest has been named so.
And he preferred not to have.
It was early in the morning and the sun was shining quite dully through the clouds that blanketed the whole overcast sky. A thin mist could be seen, wafting from the Forest Entrance due to the condensation of the previous light rainfall, hinting at the probable loss of visibility the moment they went into the woods. As the group of Slytherins walked to the forest's entrance, Dmitri saw something he did not like--they were not alone.
Ravenclaw students stood, chattering with each other as their Head of House--Professor Sergei Yornikovych--stood stoically and closely watched over them. Professor Scheinberg hasn't told them about this. And the raven-haired boy hated to be caught off-guard.
Dmitri stood wearily as both Heads of House relayed a few instructions for the general safety of the pack. He eyed the other students skeptically, noting how most, if not all, are actually... excited about the trip. He couldn't blame them--going into somewhere Forbidden would get any 11 year-old fidgeting in their seats. But not him.
On the outside, he might look calm, composed, and massively bored and unbothered, but in his mind ran numerous scenarios of what could go wrong.
As students began to pair themselves up, Dmitri was caught in a stalemate. He was too prideful to want to cower with a professor, too distrusting to ever pair himself with a student, and too self-aware to want to be alone with no one to depend on.
For the sake of preserving his pride and his safety at the same time, he decided to stay in the middle of the pack--unpaired, surrounded by chatter he did not care much for. Aiming to get every advantage he could before coming into the forest, he decided to take a closer look at the entrance and it surroundings, looking for things--pathways, plants, animals--anything that could prove to be useful information in the coming trip.

As Midas looked out at the forest, he began to regret signing up for this. As he looked through the trees, all pathways just seemed to fade into darkness. The forest seemed to be growing every time he looked at it. And the teachers had said they were going to be inside the forest... "Maybe... I shouldn't have signed up..." he began thinking. "That forest looks extremely dangerous... And I've heard rumors that a student was killed in there..." Then he remembered that there were professors. "It should be alright then... but what if..." Some gruesome thoughts appeared. "Uhh... nope!"
He turned his attention away from the forest. Best to cross that bridge when he got to it... Right? He looked out onto the students that had gathered. Right now, he had no partner, and he needed one. All of the students were wearing green robes or blue robes - after all, this was an event for Ravenclaws and Slytherins only.
Midas began walking toward the groups of students. He needed a partner, but he didn't really want to approach anyone. He stopped when he was on the outskirts of the groups of students. "I guess I'll just wait... but what if I'm the last one stuck without a partner? Oh well, I can always go alone..." he thought. He completely forgot that it was always safer with more people.

Aravis looked around the forest admiring it. She had her long curly black hair in an elegant loose fishtail braid that draped over her right shoulder. She slowly looked around to see if she knew anyone to partner up with. She saw her brother, Lucien, who was basically avoiding her. Adam, she had literally ran into him twice. Ava, she had talked to her a couple times. Jake, who she had seen at Quidditch practice but never actually talked to, and Kyden who she had only spoken to once. Other than that she didn't know anyone. Aravis considered partnering up with her brother but figured it would be best if she met other people as well, partly because she assumed he would complain about germs if she was near him. She preferred to be around someone she had spoken to but they seemed to be partnering up with other people.
She figured someone would ask her soon enough so she wasn't worried about it. She twirled a small strand of her bangs that wasn't braided back. She had a habit of doing that when she was anxious or excited. Aravis looked over to the forest again. It looked so pretty and calming. She couldn't wait to go in.

Alex would march towards the forest, following professor Leonie towards the entrance of the forest. Here he listened carefully to what she said. At first he was a bit surprised by the presence of the Ravenclaws. Since he had first expected it to be a Slytherin only adventure but he supposed that was a little self-absorbed to think so.
For a moment Alex close his eyes and enjoyed the sounds of birds singing their songs and once he opened his eyes he also took another moment to appraise the surroundings. Making note of the plants that were around here and noting any of them down mentally if he saw any interesting ones. Then he looked around for a person who he could go and partner up with. Since that would probably b the most entertaining.
Soon he saw a Slytherin girl standing alone, probably also searching for a partner and slightly twirling her hair. He took a minute to analyze her stance, posture and actions. From his immediate observations it seemed that she was at least raised in a wizarding family and most likely a pureblood one. As her subtle movements and stance were similar to that of other purebloods.
Eventually he made his way towards her, thinking that if even in the worst case scenario he would at least get more information on his other house members in slytherin and that could prove to be useful. Thus he made his way towards her. Doing his best to keep calm as he was of course enthusiastic in what was going to happen and once he was nearby asked the girl in an upbeat but controlled manner. "Hello might you be interested in partnering up with me ?"

This whole trip spelled out DANGER in Bellamy's eyes. Anything bad or terrible could happen on this trip, after all, it was the Forbidden Forest. However, Bellamy wanted this; he craved it. He always had an eye for things that lied beyond the unknown, it fascinated him. Surely this was the craziest idea that the school or its staffs had thought of but it was great. He rarely broke school rules. He was good at following orders as a child but only if it followed under his terms as well. The trip wouldn't be his first outdoor adventure as he's been out with his father into the mountains a couple of times a while back while when they visited his mother's country. This little excursion into the forest was a "walk in the park" for him; he had the stamina for it. The real challenge was the obvious fact that there were numerous deadly creatures that resided in this particular forest, one of the reasons why he brought his DADA book.He was baffled by the fact that a school would settle their grounds here, what school does that? Hogwarts apparently. Although he wasn't to bothered by it, though, as he thought of it as an educational benefit.
Tirelessly waiting while still tapping his book, becoming impatient, he stood up. As he stands up, he inconspicuously paces three meters forward and back, staring at the head of house periodically, hoping not to seem abnormal in any way as he was just adamant to leave to start this trip. Time itself seemed extremely slow for him, he hated it. The minutes waiting made him annoyed or irritated like a pesky insect flying around your head. The other students in his house had their little groups, but Bellamy didn't. How could he? He avoided any social interaction that he knew he could escape as he just wanted to focus on Hogwarts. After just a few minutes, he stopped. In a state of serenity standing in place, Bellamy relaxed and subtly touched his chest, grasping it with care as what was beneath was something he cherishes. An object that his father gave him. An object that brought up a memory of his mother saying something to him before he left for Hogwarts. An object that encompassed a moment shared with his sister. This gave him peace.
Thankfully at this moment when he zoned out, Bellamy noticed that they were finally leaving. With a subtle grin, he consciously makes a remark about exiting, "This is gonna be fun." Walking out of the common room, picking up his bag that has the needed essentials, they go through school passing various rooms. Going through the great wooden doors, students of house Slytherin make their way down the gravel path and to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. There they stood idly right beside the Ravenclaws, in front of the looming danger that lied beyond the treeline; it was exciting. Partially frightful but eagerly waiting in place, Bellamy stood. Griping his DADA book securely. As he awaited instructions from the Head of Houses, they finally spoke. Side by side both teachers in front of the forest one of them announced the instructions.
During the announcement, one word stands out to Bellamy as he listens to them. After the long tedious instructions were said, the students disperse, talking to one another. Although Bellamy is found still in place, in the same spot when he arrived. Idle in place one-word loops continuously in his head, "partner?" Unaware of this information, Bellamy's eyes become fixed in one direction, looking towards the Forbidden Forest; empty. Having a partner was not he had in mind when he signed up for this trip as he justed to enter the forest. This is one thing he didn't prepare for the one thing he barely thought of doing. Making friends wasn't apart of his agenda. He hasn't done anything while at Hogwarts that pertained to meeting people. Although he did meet two people, a Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff but they weren't here. His sister was Ravenclaw but she wasn't here as well; she was probably scared of this trip. He was practically alone. This feeling was mostly referenced as shock.

DMITRI rolled a 9 on his perception check, thus failing. When he looked into the forest to find some kind of piece of important information, all he saw were brief outlines of the trees and bushes, due to the fog that clouded his line of vision. Mornings were never good for scouting, anyways.

A gust of wind blew Leonie's hair in front of her face, and she was forced to tuck it back behind her ear, a frown on her face. It was safe to say that a frown was her neutral expression, but one could never be quite too sure about that yet. Her eyes trailed over each and every student as they mingled, her lips pursing as she crossed her arms over her chest. She caught sight of a kid in dragon hide, and it almost made her scoff - even eleven year olds liked to show off.
She turned to look at Sergei as he begun to speak with her, and she nodded her head a few times in silent understanding. It was probably the best idea for one of the two to take up the end of the train. Despite this, Leonie didn't exactly want to lead the group, but years upon years of just listening to people without objecting made her agree with just about anything - as long as it was reasonable.
Even though some people were socializing with one another and finding partners, it didn't look like everyone had been thinking the same. Before Leonie could take initiative in putting people in pairs herself, one of her own students (JAKE) walked up to her, asking if he could stay with her. His impropriety was disturbing, and she found herself more and more agitated with each word he spoke. Her eyes narrowed into daggers, and she briskly shook her head, "No."
That was all she needed to say, as she took the boy by the wrist and looked to the girl (BLOOM) that stood next to Sergei. Did she know who she was? No. Did she care? No. She partially dragged the boy, placing him next to the brunette girl and then going further as to push them together slightly, just to make sure they knew what she was doing - pairing them up. "You two." She simply stated, then turned to the rest of the crowd. A few people spoke, as stated previously, and those ones were easiest to pair.
She went through the students, pushing them together slightly, pair by pair. Her eyebrows were furrowed - she was impatient. The more time they wasted here deciding on partners, the less time she would have in the forest. Her own prefect, Kyden, with a Ravenclaw girl (PHAEDRA). Dragon Hide Boy (MARCUS) with yet another Ravenclaw (DELILAH). Two Ravenclaws were conversing (ADAM AND CELYNNE), so she pushed them together too. There was a blonde boy (ALEXANDER) talking to the girl that had asked Leonie about bringing a snake back as a pet (ARAVIS), and so she pushed them together slightly, too. Then it was time for the harder part - pairing those who were standing and doing nothing.
Well, it wasn't too hard. She just went through and pushed them together with the person closest to them. A boy with a Defence Against the Dark Arts (BELLAMY) - in which, Leonie silently approved his choice - and a boy who seemed to be looking into the forest (DMITRI). There was one Ravenclaw boy with dark hair that was looking around as though he was lost (KAEGEN), and she paired him with a girl that had blonde hair, which kind of stuck out (AVA). Another boy was doing absolutely nothing - the one who she remembered had asked her about bringing plants back from the forest (LUCIEN), and so she put him with a boy standing nearby (MIDAS).
As Leonie joined back with Sergei, she looked at the pairs of students, nodding her head a little bit. "Do you see anyone without a partner?" She asked her friend, "If so, they are up to you to decide." She waved it off, not wanting to deal with the irritable task of partnering people up together herself. If she had known they would stand around and not take initiative in finding their own partners, she would have done that from the beginning. It definitely wouldn't have taken as much time, and Leonie might have even been in a better mood.
With a huff, the turned on her heel, raising her hand in the hair, calling out loudly, "Follow me!" She then pushed past the boundary of the forest, into what was considered the unknown for the children.

Forest Exploration
A headcount was done as he was watching Leonie shuffle the students around like a deck of cards; impressive. The man quickly did a count of his students, finding himself missing four more on the roster. He was more or less happy with who Scheinberg picked for who, he didn't know her students and he couldn't help but worry. Yet he put trust in her choices and didn't find the need to actually contest her decisions. Sergei glanced at the young instructor as she questioned him, then took a few seconds to determine how many needed a partner.
With arms crossed, he tilted his head and motioned to the four Ravenclaw students(NATASHA, GABRIEL, KIENT, EVIANNA) whom ended up without a companion. "They will find their own partners. I would just let them be." Whether they found them now or later, it didn't matter to him as he was capable of watching the lot of them anyway. Sergei watched the impatient professor march on towards the forest, letting out a soft huff out of amusement. It was hard to tell if her impatience was forged during or after Durmstrang, he was the same and he couldn't help but feel many graduates shared the same temperament. His own tamed with age.
Hogwarts seemed to produce more level-headed wizards, at least from what he could tell with his own House's students. The man was to stay behind the group, he much rather preferred to see the students rather than lead. Safety had to be carried with vigilant eyes and nothing against the Slytherin Head of House, she only had one eye along with being preoccupied with leading itself. He mainly worried himself with making sure no harm befell the students, well - not much harm.
Sergei followed behind the last student, whoever it was, and took one last glance towards the castle before continuing on. No matter the time of day, the trees seemed to terrorized every inch of space with its ghastly shadows. The leafy ground felt soft and damp, some would probably even worry about sinking in and being swallowed whole. The forest had character, a seemingly malicious being with gnarled tree roots for teeth and the voice akin to eerie whispers. No one should ever go into the forest, even he would not be foolish enough to do such a thing.
Light would normally be hard pressed to pass through the thicket the canopy created, but it was daybreak and the sunlight ripped right into the spaces and crevices. The air was thick with a dampness for it was easy for rain to fall and get trapped, but harder to evaporate due to the lack of sunlight most of the time. It felt colder as they would walk deeper into the forest, not frigid, but enough to feel it if a breeze was to pass. The fog that once blocked Dmitri's vision was nothing but thin vapor, barely visible and enough to see through.
The path was not paved, it would not be preserved anyway and it was too dangerous to preserve a path. Instead, the path would be indicated by sparse gaps of tree growth, enough for the group to wind through and even run if need be. Ones attention might be drawn to sharp squawks from above; a rustle perhaps from the left, right, behind, or even above. Anyone would be foolish to think they were alone, no one was ever alone in the Forbidden Forest. The older man hummed to himself, seemingly unfazed with the uncanny valley they were passing through. Yet he kept an attentive watch of the students in front of him. "Watch where you step, it is easy to trip if you are not careful."
