For the Love of Fairies!
Open to first three people only
The Groundskeeper of the school was one of the adults that quickly managed to grow on her. For the most part, they were just there to teach but a few adults had gained a special place in her heart when they went above and beyond that. Mister Céspedes was one of those people. From what she saw, he always endeavoured to make things fun. In fact, she owed a big part of her forge and the fact that it even existed to him. He was one of the people that made that dream of hers come true. Removing that bias though, he had also given them fun days with rock friends or worms in the past. So when she heard about the fairies, she had to get involved.
Taking a handful of supplies, Serena stuffed them into her bag as she picked up the two fairies. They were so pretty. One had a purple coloured outfit with bright blue hair, the other donned full yellow with pink hair. Making her way back to the castle with fairies in hand, Pizza Rat on her shoulder and a bag full of supplies, Serena was armed and ready.
Though, admittedly, she had no idea what she was going to do. She was a big fan of the festivities, simply for the fact that they seemed to spark a little joy and spread a little cheer around the castle. If nothing else, it made things a bit more fun to look at. The past few days had been full of the Yule spirit and today was no different. It was the last day of term before the winter holidays began and most of the students would vacate from the premises. Or at least, some would.
Serena hummed a little as she walked through a busy hallway, up a few staircases, down a few others passing through more corridors. In truth, she had no idea where she was going but she swung her arms a little in a dance as she moved through the space. She wanted to find somewhere less busy, somewhere that needed a bit of cheer. Perhaps the library or a study room? Those places were usually fairly boring - at least, in her opinion since she hated studying. The cheer could be fun.
Wandering through an empty corridor, she suddenly paused in realisation. Some of the corridors were rather dull when they were empty and people stopped to actually look. Her eyes fell on a nearby suit of armour. The suits of armour were definitely the coolest things about the corridors in most cases - though she did also enjoy seeing a few portraits or secret passages in others. The girl, however, was partial to a little bit of metal and armour for the obvious bias that she appreciated the work that went into making them. It was not necessarily easy - and she would know!
Serena moved towards the nearest suit of armour and looked up at it. The one now in front of her had small shoulder pads and a rounded helmet that differed from the other one not too far away. Was it also shorter? It looked a bit shorter too, though she could not really tell from the distance. She liked it though. It was cute. Tiptoeing as high as possible, Serena reached to place one of the fairies onto its small shoulder pad. She then placed the other fairy on its other shoulder pad. "Alright, now you both have a nice tall view of the world!" She declared as the suit of armour towered over her anyway.
Rooting through her satchel, she pulled out a teal and orange coloured garland that she wrapped around the neck of the suit loosely, like a beautiful necklace, before circling it around one of the arms so it looked a little more like a scarf. Taking out another garland, this time pink and green in colour, she placed it around the left foot till it looked like a very sparkly boot. The other foot got the same but in silver and maroon. Dangling a pair of small baubles from the helmet, like earrings, Serena then also added a small seat underneath each of the fairies. Balancing the rainbow coloured seats onto the shoulders again was a little bit of a struggle for her. She was really not that tall. But Pizza Rat tugged onto it and ran up the suit's arms to help.
He would also nudge the seat with his face till it was steady. She added a gold circlet made out of a glittery wreath like item. Now onto the finishing touches. She placed a little swig of mistletoe in the blue-haired fairy's hands so that if anyone looked up they would see it holding it over them. By the pink-haired fairy, she left a few sweets that people could enjoy. Wrapped pieces of chocolate.
With the help of Pizza, she was done. This one suit of armour looked a lot more colourful and fashionable than the rest. And the fairies got a lovely seat, with a great view out of a window on the opposite side of the corridor, as well as some snacks - assuming any of the passing by students left any sweets for them.
Exhaling softly, she related back onto the ground. Being short was not great fun. She kept having to tiptoe everywhere and stretch to reach anything. Getting the wreath on the suit's head was pretty challenging but she had managed to do it with a bit of poking and pushing from one side whilst her buddy pulled a little from the other. The only thing she thought the display was missing was more light but she did not want to risk adding any candles or fire near all of the flammable objects. The fairies would not appreciate a fire, she was sure.
Taking a step back, she admired the ridiculously colourful and rather mismatched decoration. It was definitely odd but she was proud of herself regardless. At the very least, it added a small smile to her own face when she saw how terrible it was. "Come buddy," She whispered as she held up her hand to Pizza, who was still perched onto the shoulder next to the pink-haired fairy. Bringing him down, she looked back up at the suit, "All in all, not a bad way to spend some time. The professor will probably like it, even if no one else does, right?" Serena said to Pizza with a grin. The groundskeeper was an odd man who appreciated odd things from what she had seen - and she liked that about him.
With that, she quickly left the corridor. Her job here was done!

Henry walked through the corridors not expecting to meet anyone or much that day.
Loki at his heels, wearing his slytherin dueling hoodie the teen had his mind set for the library. Walking through the corridors, differnt decorations and colors caught his eye as he remembered a fairy errand that the grounds keeper was hosting.
The teen decided not to join in the festivities even though he has a love for all creatures. The teen walked through one corridor to another when he noticed two bright and colorful objects that drew both his feline and his own attention.
Walking toward the two objects that lighten up the corridor. Henry saw that the two are fairy homes or places that the little creatures could go, four fairys already there. Henry looked around, no one was there. He is alone so that must mean that they were placed there earlier in the day. The two structures looked nice but were apart and the teen questioned if the two fairies wanted to visit each other through a decorated path.
Biting his bottim lip, the third year couldn't believe what he is about to do as he turned on his heels and headed toward the slytherin common room. Rushing down sets of stairs, through corridors before reaching the home of the snakes. The common room. Loki followed quizzical of his onwer's actions as Henry jogged toward the snape dormitory and then disappeared into his bunkroom.
Grabbing his bag and filling it with cardboard, parchment paper, quills, ink, and old broom threads from his bunk mate. The teen grabbed the bag and darted from the bunk room and dormitory. Eyes darting around the common room for other materials that he could use.
Finding a few old potions bottles, a bottle of red paint, gitter, a comb, a empty pumpkin juice bottle, and broken piece of glass. Stuffing the items into his bag then darting from the common room and through the abyss of the dungeons.
Running up stairs after stairs then through corridors, eyes peeled for the one he was at with the two structures and four small creatures. The teen started to think he won't mind the hall a second time and started to wonder if he should leave. Stop this madness before something happens. Before he does something...
Loki let out a loud meow. The teen looked. His gaze set on the two structures from before. The four fairies still there. Smiling a little, Henry took a few steps closer. Getting to his knees as he sat between the two strictures and begun to create.
Taking out the cardboard, the teen folded the piece into a single narrow strip. Checking to see if it fit between the two structures, connecting the two. The teen nodded at hus handlt work then took the ink and red paint out of his bag along with a quill, painting little bricks on the carboard in red and black so it appeared more like a road. Once finished his ink jar laid empty and paint bottle had only fragments of red left.
Taking out the bottle of gitter, Henry carefully sprikled the gitter evenly over the piece of carboard so it shimmer in the light and would attract the fairies to it. The teen took out the pieces of glass, placinf one piece at each corner of the cardboard near both structures remembering from his readings how fairies like to look or gaze at their appearance.
The teen placed the potions bottle along the cardboard's sides, making a barrier. The path now with two rows of potion bottle railings and makeshift mirrors made from pieces of glass at the four corners painted with little red and black bricks now looks like a bridge.
Smiling at his handy work the teen took out thw broom strands and tied them around the tops of each potion bottle just to add to the aesthetic and appearance of the bridge. Giving the fairies more of a reason to cross it and meet each other at least the teen hoped the little creatures would use it and if they even liked it.
The teen didn't think he'll use the empty pumpkin juice bottle or comb so he lefr them in his bag, making a mental note to toss both items in the rubbish bin when he would get to the library.
The teen looked over the shimmering bridge, smiling at the work and pretty sure that it is finished. The teen moved the objecy between the two structures, connecting them both.
Getting to his feet, the teen looked upon the four creatures and hoped that they like his bridge and would use it to meet each other and explore the surrounding areas.
His mind still wondering who built the others when he decided not to allow others see him there, taking his bag and calling for his loyal feline. The third year left the corridor and headed for the library with Loki on his heels a bit happy and smiling for helping a fre creatures that day. That errand was fun and not that time consuming he will admit.
