Going for a midnight snack
Clair was relived when Henry told her that he would ask her sister, "just watch, she can be snappy, so hit her if you need too!" Clair had no problem hitting her siblings, in her family they hit each other in play, often with Clair winning the mock battles, she smiled at the memory of her coming home for Defense lessons and attacking Izzy, the two girls had fought until Izzy was out of breath and tired, Clair was not mean or cruel, but she knew how to fight, it would be rare to see Clair use these skills that she had learned on anyone but her sister unless she really needed to.
"Do you have any siblings?" she asked as she followed Henry,
She looked at her wand, she wanted to cast a Lumos, it would make the path easier but it would also risk Henry and her getting caught. She looked around, the dark shadows that were on the walls that were from the candles a level above them, she shivered, not from the cold, no but from the thought that anything could hide in the shadows, a ghost, a werewolf, not that a werewolf would do any harm, since it was not a full moon. This sort of freaked her out, she shook her head, the thoughts about the darkness and shadows were stupid, only babies feared the dark.
"Do you fear the dark? she asked, wondering if a third year could even fear the dark.

Henry smiled over at Clair, the girl was funny and good company as he offered a playful smile and replied"good to know, thank you," the teen eyes the girl. It was odd, there was something about her that he liked and it allowed him to rather enjoyed conversing with her. Clair was funny and carefree and mischievous and playfully, it was easy to forget where one was and just get lose in conversation if one if with the right person.
Henry heard Clair's question, nodding toward her as he slipped his hands into the pockets of his jeans and Loki remained in his shoulder watching the shadows with amber eyes. Henry walked beanies Clair, peering into tje darkness ahead as he spoke" I habe a elder brother who I'm close with, he's a auror and a twin sister. Then I have five step siblings who all attend hogwarts as well," the teen smiled a bit and looked toward the girl before moving his blue gaze forward.
It was strange how the teen spoke about his siblings now. Henry has always been close with his older brother and would usually result in taking about him in most cases but now he had step siblings that he could tell others about which felt weird. Then there was his twin sister.... Annabeth who is a runaway and who Henry perfers to not speak of at all.
Hearing her question, Henry looked over at the young girl with a soft smile as he spoke" I haven't feared the dark since I was six," the lad encounters the dark often and when he was young that he couldn't have a chance to he afaird of it, eyeing Clair Henry softly spoke" are you afraid or is it hard to see? I can cast a spell if you'll like?"

Clair smiled as her pocket wiggled, Clover her rat was sitting in her pocket, she had been sleeping but must of woken up because she was now moving around, or course Henry most likely did not know that Clair's rat was sitting in her pocket so she laughed softly and reached her hand into her pocket and pulled out her wriggling Grey rat, Clover looked at her and squeaked, Clair smiled and showed Henry,
"this is my rat, her name is Clover, she is very nice if you want to pet her you can."
Clair pulled out her own wand, "Lumos" she muttered and her want light up, she smiled and placed Clover back into her pocket, "stay!" She whispered softly to her rat before looking up again back at Henry, "No, I would not say I'm afraid of the dark, I respect it and what it has in it's grasps, I respect the danger it can hold and the beauty it can also hold." She thought for a moment, "I used to fear it, my sisters would always tell me that Spiders would eat me in the dark, I was scared for years, but when I was 6 or 7 I realized that it was stupid, Spiders could never eat me! They are too small I'm too big! Then I started to venture out at night more, it helped that it got dark so early in the winter, I was able to... Get past my fear."

Henry lightly smiled toward the girl, falling into step besides her as he looked straight ahead. Blue eyes meeting darkness, squinting a little to see.
Loki fell into step between them, looking up at his onwer as his amber eyes found Henry's right shoulder. Waiting a moment then the orange feline jumped,
landing on his leg and climbing up toward his right shoulder. Once there, Loki sat down looking straight ahead into the darkness with shining amber eyes, flicking his tail.
Henry smiled at his feline as he continued to walk besides Clair, turning his head toward her to meet her eyes when he heard her voice. Looking down at the grey rat, the third softly smiled at it and reach a careful hand toward the creature before softly stroking it for a moment or two.
"Clover is adorable, rodents are bloody smart. They can be trained like dogs," Henry spoke finding himself withdrawing his hand as he continued to walk besides Clair, the third year is obsessed with animals and creatures knowing plenty of facts on them.
Henry brushed a few strands of hair from his face before he would say"I tend to say facts, some think I'm weird," the teen use to be ashamed by the fact but now that he's older and braver... well enjoys talking to others more he isn't. Actually he quites enjoy his unique ability.
Henry watched as Clair's wand glowed with light from the lumos charm, making it easier to see however Henry still needed to squint occasionally to see through the basements as they continue on.
The third year listen to Clair, he felt bad for her and didn't understand how someone's siblings could be so cruel.
His older brother never did anything like that to him, his twin was a different story since she did prank him once or twice. Remembering toward memories, the teen looked ahead as he replied" at least you aren't afraid anymore and I can always help you prank them back."

Clair smiled as Loki jumped up on Henry's leg and up onto his shoulder "Does he have a favorite seat?" She asked, "Loki I mean" she added quickly, so that the other student would not be confused.
"Yeah I plan to train her to do jumps and roll over and shake a paw, so far I've trained her to come and to Sit."
When Henry said that he tended to say facts Clair smiled, "Facts are good for the brain. To keep things such as random animal facts in your brain, remember them correctly and be able to use them when the time is right shows ones ability to be smart." Pausing for a moment before continuing she took a breath "Also storing facts in your brain is good for your brain because you are using it all the time, and unless you use it your gonna loose it!" Facts were something Clair loved, at home when she had nothing to do she would sit with a fact book and read facts, learning and remembering as many as she could, most of them about horses or other things around the farm.
"I'm rather guilty of spewing facts out at random people, most the facts I know are about animals"
When Henry said he could always help prank them Clair smiled, "That would be fun..."

"uh- oh Loki likes to sit on my shoulder and I trained him to sit here."
Henry explained toward Clair's while Loki sat on his right shoulder, amber eyes gazing ahead into the darkness. The teen walked through, listening to water drops through the mass abyss of the dungeons. Memories of poison gas filling those wall, Starlee and Santario laying limp at the bottom of a well. The fear he felt. The panicked. His lungs still a little scared from the gas last year.
Shaking the memories away, listening to Clair's spew. Nodding to her words, chooseing not to speak or add anything. The teen wasn't sure what to say or how to respond to her words, facts about facts. Strange but also sane or normal for Henry. The teen nodded toward her words, thankfully she spoke again this time talking about her own spew.
"I enjoyed your spew, I tend to do the same at times," Henry replied with a soft smile taking a left turn down the dungeons. The emptiness. The sound of only their footsteps and voices for miles. Henry felt dread, panicked since last year this place is slowly becoming hus least favorite spot at Hogwarts. Even more than the slytherin common room and hospital wing.
