A smirk. Did the boy really think he was above the world? That had to be utter bull. Maybe people expected too much of him! But nevertheless, besides Transfiguration, History of Magic, and Astronomy, Cody was also horrible at Herbology. Cody needed assistance so he would spend the time in the classroom trying so hard to perfect his magic, his skills, his talents. Maybe he really was worthless at Hogwarts and was only a good fit to cause trouble. Even if he was sorry about it.

It was his second lesson of the year in Transfiguration. He was to learn all about the Snail to Teapot and Glass to Sand spells. This was throwing him off. Last class, he didn't do two spells. This class, he does not one, but TWO spells. How terrifying and daunting.

Should anyone walk in into the class, they would hear Cody grumbling and letting a few swears slip loose as he uncomfortably alternates hands, as they're sweaty, his eyes darting back and forth, his attempt to pronounce Choclea Bibe would be distorted and slurred. He was stressed, scared, and haunted.

Maybe Cody should've slept more in the dormitory instead of having nightmares about a unicorn.

Jake didn't know how he'd left his transfiguration textbook behind. He NEVER did stuff like that...He was always careful with his stuff...or at least he'd used to be.

Maybe it was cause he had a lot on his mind lately. Being a third year was hard, and now he had so much responsibility he'd never had before. Duel captain, prefect...it was like he was living inside of a whirlwind that just wouldn't stop. Maybe he was gonna have to talk to Professor Browne about it. He had always let Jake come to talk to him before... Right now, Jake sorta felt like he was gonna pop.

But as he went back inside the classroom to check if his book was there, he saw that it wasn't empty. Inside the room was a small boy. A VERY small boy.

Jake stared at the other kid in surprise, though now that he thought about it he was pretty sure he had seen him around the common room before. Still, that was way different from actually standing next to him. Jake had never really known what it was like to feel tall before. When he had got to school it had felt like EVERYONE had been bigger than him. And even now there were still first years who were. Sometimes he really hated it. But for once it was Jake who seemed to tower over he kid he was looking at.

Was this what other kids felt like when they had looked at him?

But as the shock wore off, Jake realized that the other boy seemed kind of upset. He was mumbling under his breath and his eyes were moving back and forth like he was watching a game of tennis or something.

"Um, are you okay?" Jake asked. He hoped everything was alright.

He looked up at Jake Morris, the new Hufflepuff Prefect, who was towering over him. A paranoid look would strike the small boy's face. He was starting to sweat furiously. Jake would ask a question to Cody, about whether he was ok or not. The boy would shake his head, his wand shaking as he pointed it towards Jake.

"No. I'm not ok. T-this is so hard! This is such a hard homework, or well, class." Cody said, starting to cry softly. He threw down his wand, in a tantrum. No one told him that Hogwarts would be difficult or hard.

"Hey uh, uh, do- do you want to- to- uh- help- uh- me? I- I really need assistance w- with a spell from- from Transfiguration. Apparen- apparently we're supposed to learn how to cast Choclea Bibe, or rather, the snail to teapot spell... my iss- issue is that i can't cast anything appropri- appropriately. Or c- correctly." The boy said, stuttering. This happened when he was in utter fer or despise of what was to occur should he continue with his horrid spellcasting.

He took a longer glance around, blinked with slight horror, and then looked up at Jake again.
