It was going to be a joyous celebration, full of festive cheer and delicious food, surrounded by many of his favorite housemates. Avery felt it in his veins that today was going to be a good day of cheerful camaraderie -- they had worked so hard over the course of consecutive months, and today was finally a day in which they could unwind, relax, and celebrate their accomplishments. It was a reminder that good things would come for those who put their heart into their goals to do their very best. Avery had to admit that he wasn't the most studious Slytherin; it wasn't very likely that he earned many points in class or for homework, but he did his best to help the house in other ways, by completing errands and being helpful to professors and prefects. Knowing that he had done his Avery Chen best was something to celebrate; it was with a big, cheerful grin on his face that he scooped up food from the bubbling cauldron for his housemates.

"Habib, you brought calamari? I love that stuff," he gushed, and then glanced at the loukoumades, feeling his mouth watering. He would definitely give those a try when he had the chance! "And Vale, are those honeycakes? Wow, thanks for bringing dessert, guys. And thanks for setting the table, Dancelos!" Everyone was really considerate and helpful, and he was blessed to be in their company. This was going to be a great party.

"This meal may not satisfy our bloodthirst, but it'll satisfy our stomaches!" Vale's pronouncement elicited a cheer from Avery as he raised his glass to those words. "Yes, you got it, Vale! Maggie, Dancelos and I have yet to get back at the birds for snatching our quidditch win, but we'll show 'em next time!" Was he still bitter over their loss? Yes, he was oh so sad, but never dejected, no. He was determined for the team to come back stronger than ever. "Let's not let that put a damper on our celebration, eh?" He downed another swig of milk tea.

Really, how was Liana still so modest during this time of celebration? And especially when they couldn't possibly have won so many points without her contribution? "Oh, Li, loosen up a little, will you? Every point mattered, and you should be proud that you got the last point. Even if it was luck -- well, I guess that just means we have better karma, right? So we must be doing something right!" Did Avery really believe in karma? Probably not. But he sure believed in their ability to brag a little, so whatever would persuade Liana to be more celebratory, he was going to try. For once, he and Hilda seemed to be of a similar mind. Liana was 'Ravenclaw's dementor'? He had no idea what a dementor was, but it sounded scary, so he laughed heartily at Hildegard's joke.

An unfamiliar voice broke through the conversation, and Avery turned to see a dark-haired girl glaring at them furiously, especially at Hildegard. Had the disabled girl made other enemies he didn't know about? From what he remembered in class, this girl seemed to be a fellow first-year Ravenclaw, Clair. He didn't know her very well, but she sure seemed to have a fiery flair about her today. "Ravenclaw was very close to winning, and if you... Legless Lizards did not get that one stupid little point then we would have won! It's pretty sad to win by one point!" she retorted. Avery stared, closing his open mouth that was about to be fed a piece of beef by his chopsticks. 'Legless lizards'? That was the first time he'd heard that. "I think it's pretty cool that we won by one point, honestly," he responded thoughtfully. "Like... It just looks like you guys got smug and tired halfway, but we beat you in the end because we kept it up, like in 'Tortoise and the Hare'," he said plainly, then nodded to himself for making this clever connection and slurped up some enoki mushrooms with satisfaction.

He didn't even notice that a red-haired girl that could only be the renowned Juniper Kelly had come up to grab a bowl of food for herself, until she spoke. "That tastes TERRIBLE! what is it?" she spat in pure disgust before setting her food back onto the table. What? How could spicy hot pot possibly taste bad? What strange corner of the planet did she crawl out of? He peered into her bowl. "Oh, it seems that my mom also packed tripe into the box," he mused. "You know, the delicious lining of cow or pig stomachs? The texture is a bit crunchy and bumpy like a fish net, but it tastes better once you get over it. Have a few more bites! Maybe you'll start liking it," he offered, picking some up with his own chopsticks and swinging the tripe towards her face, eager to help the girl shove some into her mouth to enlighten this poor wench.

Before he knew it, the red-haired girl grabbed Hildegard and knocked her own face into the Slytherin's. Avery did stare in shock, but still managed to sneak a piece of delicious calamari into his mouth, wondering what Hildegard would do next. He wasn't really eager to break up this fight. After all, he had willingly punched Hildegard in the face himself, a few weeks ago. It was about time to observe how the disabled girl would react to being beaten up again, now that she didn't have a cat to ditch as she ran away. He chewed on a piece of tripe as he continued to watch, intrigued. What a show. Maybe he ought to throw in a few obligatory words of encouragement for his housemate; it was the right thing to do. "Don't back down, Hilda! You got this!" He then tried some spam this time, delicious as always. It never disappointed.

A fresh barb came from Ming, shot in Juniper's direction. The tired boy was not what he had been at the start of the year, and Avery did worry for his friend. Where were those merciless chides that slain enemies in his wake? This one was filled with contempt, but did not have its usual heft. "Oh, Ming, stay a bit longer, will you?" he pleaded with his friend, but it was likely to fall on deaf or overtired ears. It wouldn't be the same if he couldn't celebrate this moment with his best friend, who had also worked so hard during the past few months with hardly any time to hang out at all. "I'm sure things will calm down...eventually?" He peered at the scene before them, which was hardly likely to calm down at all.

Ravenclaw had lost by one point, a single point that fate decided was meant to be. Hunter himself wasn't bothered too badly by the loss of Ravenclaw, because he didn't quite understand what the meaning behind the competition was. He himself provided some of the top points for his house during the time, and yet he felt no joy or enthusiasm from gaining points, but just knowing he was excelling in his classes. He sat within the hall enjoying some rather ordinary mundane sandwhiches and reading a book to take his mind off of the hunger growing in his stomach. However, eventually his nose began to whiff the smell of something exotic and pleasent. It smelled of spice, and certainly made Hunter's mouth water more than the sandwhich he had within his mouth. He looked up to see a gathering of Slytherins, all basking in their glory of victory amongst each other. Based on appearance and height, they all seemed to be first years, but the bizaring part was the gathering of two other Ravenclaws towards their table. This was clearly a cauldron brewing with trouble. Hunter took off his tinted glasses, and shoved them into his robe in fear of what was to occur.

Hunter sat up to approach the other table in curiousty as to what was occuring. He could hear a few words being shouted out, "Bloodthirst," "Ravenclaw's ass on Dungbomb," and of course "Ravenclaw's dementor." The words were rather vile to Hunter, and he began to intend joining his fellow Ravenclaws in their action of dispute. However, much changed as he witnessed what their actions were. He recognized both Ravenclaws, Juniper and Clair, from a party that occured within the Ravenclaw common room. Hunter could see the loathe in their eyes, the very look spooked Hunter a bit and he considered just rather not getting involved. As he attempted to turn back, his eyes couldn't avert from Junipers violent action of attacking another student. The small amount of blood was worry some to Hunter, even though Juniper wiped it away.

Hunter swiftly reached the table and began to walk over to one of Juniper's sides, attempting to avoid any eye contact or interaction with the other slytherins. By the time he reached Juniper, he could hear her make a comment of "feeling pathetic" to the Slytherin girl she had headbutted. Hunter had gained a new feeling from that comment, a feeling of disgust with his fellow housemate rather than the Slytherins who mocked them. "Yes, frankly I do feel pathetic," Hunter began as he placed his right hand on Juniper's shoulder, "The fact that I was in a house that lost by one meesly point is nothing, but the fact that you attacked another student Ms.Kelly, is a different story. I still hold my pride as a Ravenclaw, and yet what little pride we have was just thrown out by your actions. Here I thought Ravenclaws were suppose to be wise, and yet what you've done was so stupid i didn't even think it would occur as I walked over here." Hunter never was one to raise his voice, if anything he didn't quite know how to yell or scream. His voice was just stone cold, with no yelling or intention of showing hate. If anything, it was more of an attempt to scare the girl. Some would call it an act, but his eyes showed a new side of Hunter. He always avoided eye contact, but this was a different story. The glare in his eyes said nothing but resentment as they looked directly at Juniper.

"And as for you," Hunter turned his head toward the girl who Juniper had headbutted. It seemed she had a slight nosebleed, similar to that of Juniper's, and this surprisingly caused Hunter to begin to feel more meek due to the sight of the crimson liquid. He took his hand off of Juniper, and reached into his robe to take out a glass vial containing some round-shaped leaves, "Here," he said more calmly and mannered. He opened up the vial, and took out some of the few small leaves, and offered them to the girl: "It's Dittany, Cretan Dittany. It'll help with any sort of small injury, and no it's not poison. If you still doubt me, I'm sure one of your friends here can confirm what it is. Unlike others, we Ravenclaws use our wisdom to help, not gloat." That last comment was clearly pointed at the other Slytherins, but Hunter's eyes shifted and focused back at Juniper as he said that. He placed the dittany on the table, "I really don't enjoy violence Ms.Kelly, if you still have some anger I suggest you take it with me then." Hunter's face was up close and personal to that of Juniper. He was a fellow Ravenclaw who had given a useful herb to someone else than her, "I also hope that is a dung bomb to ruin their meal, rather than your wand Ms. Fernandez," he had noticed Clair's hand in her pocket when he approached the table, but he was too focused on Juniper at the moment to approach Clair. "If you are a Ravenclaw, choose your next action WISELY."

Vale's currently wearing a 'dressed down' outfit for the party. A simple, black dress and a large, black bow resting on her head to commodate her style.
And without further ado, Vale's meal was delighted with chaos. Even while Hildegard was attacked by one of the Ravenclaws who helped themselves to joining the activity, Vale was taking a large bite of a couple fish balls. How delicious! To think Avery was an ideal cook! She would only come to stop in her enjoyment when Hui Ming stood up and expressed his wish to leave the choatic situation. She blinked, observing the ever so great Hui Ming, appearing so...not great.

Vale, while considered insane, wasn't dumb in her observation skills (that is when she decides to use them). This Ming, she observed and took to noting, pretended like Vale did not exist. Granted, Hui Ming seem to have done so even during the duelling match among Vale's study peers, in which she assumed to be out of a unintentional action in exchange for keeping an eye, and a ear, out for the match.

But actions, even if unintentional, tend to build up and slowly, will start to appear intentional instead. Like expressing a polite 'goodbye' to everyone else but one self, like it was a gruesome, disgusting thing to commit to. Or even taking care of making remarks to one's behavior.

But Vale did not speak up, watching Ming attempt to escape what was simply, a pleasant experience to watch at the large table while eating a hot, delicious meal.

And instead, Vale turned to watch the speculation that was happening. She took to recalling Avery's outcry about Hildegard breaking his violin. Yes, Vale concluded in her mind. All in due time, the universe will return the pain given back.

Did that boy with the supposed, large worm get the pain returned as well yet?

"Cretan Dittany." Vale began, moving to instead pick away at the meal in front of her after swallowing the fish balls she had in her mouth "A useful ingredient that can be eaten raw to heal minor wounds. Useful indeed, healing wounds to look even a few days old." Vale patted her face clean from her messy eating. She rolled her eyes up to Juniper, recalling her from an earlier interaction involving a doll, and a rather swallow grave.

"But it emits flammable vapours. Just enough so anyone with vicious intent can use it to burn your face off with a simple spark from a wand. A burn I don't think even a skillful nurse could even heal." Vale wasn't actually sure if it was enough to burn someone's face off, but it was a message nevertheless.

A message, that Vale didn't even express so much of a smile over. Just dead, non-expressive eyes observing the familiar girl.

"Maybe its best if you go to the nurse, Juni! It's dangerous to do that out in the open, where the most vicious lie in waiting! They'll fix you up quickly!" She turned to making a smile, turning her head a touch to Avery. "This is certainly much more fun than I thought, Avery! Thank you for such an impressive event! Even Ming couldn't stand the excitement!"

The party was quickly descending into chaos, which really shouldn't have come as a surprise, knowing what group of people organized it. Liana felt like she should have learned some lessons from trying to study alongside them. A couple of Slytherin first-years at a time - never more than three in one place - was manageable. Anything beyond that meant trouble. First Avery, Vale, and Habib were causing her to cringe, and now...

The moment Hildegard opened her mouth, the redhead started wanting nothing more than to sink down through the bench and through the floor, to disappear from the scene like a ghost would. Sly compliments uttered by someone who didn't much like her were already a cause to be concerned, and now they were coming from a psychotic girl who was known for her chaotically serpentine tendencies. She smiled weakly in response, struggling to control her facial muscles and wondering what Schneider's game here was. Had she picked up on Liana's discomfort at being put in a spotlight? Had she somehow realized Liana didn't want to be publicly named a rival of Ravenclaw?

Her train of thought was roughly interrupted by the appearance of a semi-familiar girl that she vaguely remembered from mutual classes. Clair, if that's what her name was, began by throwing insults at them as a group - which was probably something most of them deserved, and she was largely justified in her actions if she only overheard what Hildegard had said; but then again, there would have been dozens of far wittier ways to engage them in a battle of words. Was this truly the best that Ravenclaw could offer?

Well, at least it wasn't the worst; the sudden charge of another girl took Liana aback. Juniper clearly preferred actions over words, which really should have put her in Gryffindor together with other hot-headed crazies. Somehow, for some reason, Hildegard always ended up getting hurt the first, and the worst. Could it have something to do with her... mildly unpleasant personality? In all likelihood, however, her attacker would just get accused of abusing a handicapped person, and no lessons would be learned today.

The girl couldn't shake off an odd feeling of watching it all unfold as a spectator of some dull theater play that wasn't worth her time. The gathering didn't feel real, the two angry Ravenclaws didn't look real, the blood from the headbutting that occurred only a few feet from her didn't seem real. Maybe she was still asleep in her bed? But no, in her rarely-occurring dreams the world wasn't generally so bleak.

Liana put the still-full tea cup back on the table, suddenly feeling not at all thirsty or hungry, and instead just wanting to go to bed and take a nap. She was about to rise from the table when Ming spoke up, giving a strangely adequate response, as opposed to his usual fanning of the flames with harsh, overly-personal remarks. The girl found herself slowly nodding in agreement and immediately stopped, force of habit preventing her from openly siding with the Asian boy on any given issue. Internally, however, she was still approving of all that he said, and all that he didn't. It didn't escape Liana's notice how his gaze was directed at certain housemates that had instigated the conflict with their eagerness to boast. Strangely, he didn't seem to blame Avery, likely because of their friendship - to Liana it really had seemed like the toast offered by the excitable Quidditch player was just as provoking as anything else that had been said or done during their short-lived celebration. It couldn't have been more clear that Ming was disappointed in his peers when he only bid farewell to three of them - his confidant and the two girls that did not partake in this vain collective bragging.

As her only ally in this ordeal headed towards the exit, Liana felt a strong urge to follow. Perhaps she could catch up with him and finally inform the boy that she won't be participating in the other Wargames events. ''I'll be going as well, but thank you for the feast, Avery - and everyone else who brought snacks,'' she announced without much expression in her voice, rising to her feet and leaving her empty, clean plate at the table. She didn't have enough energy to offer any comments on the behaviour of everyone involved, and there wasn't a need to - Ming had done it nicely, although half the people around the table didn't seem to get what he had meant.

She was already moving away when a yet another stranger from Rowena's house entered the scene, making her pause and listen for a moment. The boy spoke in a composed manner, which made her wonder if he hailed from Pureblood society. It was an impressive display of wisdom and compassion - almost enough to make Liana stay. Sadly, there was no salvaging the situation, the best that could be done now was keeping it from getting any worse. And the less people were involved, the better. The redhead nodded mutely to Hunter, wishing she had enough strength left in her to linger for a while longer and help him calm everyone down. Perhaps he could be the Ravenclaw companion she had been seeking for three months now. She'd have to find out some other day, though. For now, she was at least inspired enough to add a few lines to the conversation. ''I hope Slytherin and Ravenclaw can still maintain a positive relationship after this. After all, being in a specific house doesn't make us better or worse. It's up to each individual to prove they're worthy of their house's glory, and it seems that most people gathered here are only taking all the best from their respective houses while offering very little in return. Some are even bringing shame to their peers. Bragging and fighting... This is not why I worked so hard to earn all those points. Now, if you will excuse me,'' with that, she resumed walking towards the exit, trying to reach Hui Ming before he disappeared from sight.
Liana has left the thread.

Clair in her childish manner was down right hurt, she had worked hard, and spent many nights doing homework, she had studied hard and even tried to answer in class questions.
Yet they had still lost my one point, which hurt a lot for the first year.
Sure Clair's blood was boiling, sure she was mad and felt like screaming, but when Juniper Kelly, a fellow Ravenclaw, had stormed in and attacked Hildegard, Clair had had enough, taking a deep breath she looked around, hoping there was so done who might know a spell or something, "Anyone know a spell to get that stupid Juniper off of Hildegard?" She said, not to loudly but loud enough. That was when she noticed the food, and if any anger she had been holding onto was still it melted away, she walked over to it.
"Hey, urmm, can I try some please? This looks SOOO good!" She said, looking at the food, Clair loved food, she liked spicy stuff the best, she was a big fan of spicy food, "My name is Clair, Clair Fernandez. I would stop that fight, but I'm not a big fan of Hildegard she is a sort of bully, to a lot of students, including me."
Clair smiled, which was odd sense her anger show had only been a few seconds ago, she pulled her hand out of her pocket, "I just won't let the fight get any bigger, I hate fighting." She looked at the table, with all the food, "Ooooooh is that squid down there?"

Habib was rattled by the sudden shift in the atmosphere everyone had gone from ready to go to war to completely relaxed, talk about bipolar. He turned to the dark-haired girl Clair was her name she was the same one he had seen back at the astronomy tower so he decided that he would forgive her for her earlier outburst "Yes it is squid, Calamari to be exact you want one" Habib tried to give her one hoping to make peace. The girl seemed to want one from her tone of voice when she pointed it out. He could see why Avery had been gushing over the food brought here and Hildegard seemed to eat the snake with a certain vigour while having a vindictive look on her face. He grabbed some calamari put it on a plate and gave it to her "Here a peace offering." It was admittedly a pathetic attempt as if he could gloss over the animosity between the houses with seafood, but it wasn't like he had anything else at least it would be easier since everyone seems to have calmed down from the rush of the ravens appearing. Habib tried for a sheepish smile.

Everything happened so fast, before she knew it Hildegard was on the ground her nose was bleeding and a Ravenclaw boy was giving her some medicine.
She looked around to further understand the situation, some of them were leaving, other were looking, she heard Avery cheer her up or mock her, she was not really sure what it was but at the moment it was the least of her problem.
Her brain finally processed all the pain, she putted the Cretan Dittany that Hunter gave her on the ground, she trusted Vale more than she trusted him and according to her pure blooded classmate it could be used as a mean to hurt.
Right after that Schneider started screaming and crying really loudly.

IT HURTS !! W..WHY DID YOU DO THAT ?! I DID NOTHING WRONG ! She said screaming while having tears running out her eyes.

Is there a teacher or a prefect around !? This girl is dangerous ! She said while pointing at her.

All I did was telling the truth ! THE TRUTH ! That you pathetic birds were stupid losers ! And... and YOU'RE JUST PROVING MY POINT ! You ostrich face ! I'm disable ! You can't just punch me like that ! Hilda said before tapping her right leg.

She stopped a few seconds because of the pain, it allowed her to regain a little bit more control over herself.

-I just came here for the food, I did not earn much point ! Look ! If there's someone you should blame it's Avery Chen ! He's the one who organized the celebration ! And he earned lots of points too ! The crazy girl said while pointing her finger at him.

- And not only him ! Hui Ming ! He was among the top 5 earner ! Liana Kerr ! She's the reason you guys lost ! Vale Ashwood earns alots too and here she is celebrating it !

She briefly looked around again noticing that those two left or at least were leaving.

-They even went as far as to celebrate your defeat !AND LOOK ! Two of them just ran like two little cowards, and the other two are just enjoying themselves ! It just prove my point ! They left because they know what they did !

She paused to take back her breath, really wanting to flipendo the red hair right away.
Yet she had a better idea, people not interfering pissed the girl more than the actual assault, so she tried negotiate with the girl she had yet to know the name of.

- I will tell you something, if you want to blame someone blame them not me ! In fact if you want to assault them too I will help you ! And with pleasure you can bet on it ! In fact, with my help, even if we get caught we will most likely lose the same amount of points, so it's a win win situation ! How about it ? You're bloodthirsty aren't you ?

The disable kid took her wand out and pointed it back and forth at the different Slytherin she talked about.

December 4, 2021
XXXXNovember had simply been a battle of efforts. Both houses, Ravenclaw and Slytherin alike, had put in more than a valiant effort. It had been a battle of intelligence vs ambition, and the Slytherins might have just pulled out with enough spirit to win. Or maybe it was nothing more than the incredible Liana Kerr, who made sure to put those birds in their place. Maggie's competitive spirit and her need to win were satisfied just this once, a bloodthirst she hadn't known that she had prior to this.

Plus, they needed to make sure to get back at those Ravenclaws for stealing the Quidditch win, the one that herself, Avery, and Dancelos had been so careful in trying to secure. Bye-bye, birdie!

At first, the celebration had seemed a good idea. A great idea, even, a wonderful plan to celebrate the victory that they had pulled out of thin air. Hell, Maggie had been convinced for a better part of November that a win was simply impossible. And then there came Liana, in all her glory, riding in on a silver stallion called actual effort. Saving their tails from humiliation and wasted point potential. It had been wonderful. Maggie had never tasted victory so sweet; it was like sinking her teeth into a ripe, juicy apple.

"No, really! Way to go, Li. You're just the best. Brilliant, really. You're utterly brilliant," it had to be said! Maggie pointed out, crossing her arms over her chest and observing the assembled Slytherins. And sure, maybe she should've anticipated the storm that was gathering. Maybe she should've expected it to garner some attention, as it was in the Great Hall, where any Ravenclaw might wander by and get angry.

Maggie anticipated some harsh words. She didn't anticipate watching some hothead get physical with Hildegard Schneider. The second contact was made, blood was drawn, Maggie stepped back, a stumbling step that almost took her down with it.

One part of her wanted to cheer, wanted to make bets on the fight, but another wondered how beneficial it would be to get in too deep to this conflict. Yeah, Maggie wanted to defend the honor of her house and the wonderful job they'd done in getting stuff done, but Juniper Kelly seemed crazy. So. There was that.

And that little spat seemed to be attracting the attention of even more Ravenclaw students, which wasn't good. Would they be given detention for their involvement? Would they? "Hey, hey, Molly Ringwald!" Maggie addressed the redhead (@Juniper Kelly). "Maybe calm down a bit? No need to get so angry. We won, fair and square, nothing to be getting your undershirt in a twist over."

Maybe Maggie's commentary was unnecessary. Maybe it was. "Like, come on, is it worth it? Kinda embarrassing, if you ask me. It's just a monthly house cup. No need to turn yourself into Carrie, dude. Don't bloody yourself over a hot pot party."

And she would've gone further, too, if Liana hadn't split from the scene. "Wait, wait, Liana, wait up! Wait for me," get off the scene before it could get ugly. Well, uglier than it already was.

ACTION: Leaving the thread.

I really value when people use violence for me, it's actually one of my love languages.

Eating hot pot while watching a fight -- Avery couldn't have asked for better entertainment. He watched wide-eyed in fascination as Hilda took a blow, cheering her on for some more action, and then got just the slightest bit queasy as he spotted blood on both girls' faces. Okay, it was getting a little out of hand... maybe. But he couldn't help feeling that Hilda should've seen it coming, if anyone asked him. Juniper Kelly had a reputation of sorts. He was surprised enough that she hadn't given him a bash to the head for swinging tripe at her face.

"Anyone know a spell to get that stupid Juniper off of Hildegard?" Clair asked, and Avery noticed that she had sat down to watch the show beside him to admire the hot pot and Habib's calamari. "Yes...?" Avery responded, hesitantly. "But I'm not going to pull out my wand, y'know? School rules and all," he drawled with a grin, almost laughing to himself. It wasn't really the reason why he refused to draw his wand, because Avery Chen hardly followed rules if he set his mind to something, but he wasn't eager to break up the show. "Yeah, feel free to help yourself! This food is meant to be devoured and enjoyed!" He grabbed a spare bowl and heaved a bunch of food into it for Clair, tripe and all. When it came to sharing food, there were no House boundaries! At least, that was Avery's logic.

So, from what Clair said, she was bullied by Schneider, too? Avery gaped at her. He wasn't the only one? Well, that seemed to make sense, in a way! "You too, Clair?" he gushed. "I'm Avery Chen, by the way, in case you didn't know. And you know what? Hildegard broke my violin, and she also told her cat to eat my Pygmy Puff! So, honestly, I'm kind of enjoying the show right now. What's she done to you, if I may ask?" Who knew that he would find a fellow compatriot at the party today.

The show only got better as a bespectacled Ravenclaw boy approached him. His face was surely familiar, but he couldn't completely recall his name... Hunter, was it? All Avery knew of the boy was that he was rather quiet, and never caused a ruckus in class compared to the more infamous likes of Juniper Kelly. "Oooh, ouch," he muttered to those around him as Hunter reprimanded the fiery red-head. He was certainly no-nonsense and knew when to gather his nerves to step up the plate, despite his usually quiet countenance.

He listened dazedly to Liana's speech before she left the show, his eyes still glued to the scene before him. "Bye, Liana," he said distractedly. "Glad you liked the food! Bye, Maggie." Of course Maggie would follow when her best friend had left, though he was surprised that she would leave a scene as dramatic as this.

Only Vale seemed as enthralled by the scene as he was. "This is certainly much more fun than I thought, Avery! Thank you for such an impressive event! Even Ming couldn't stand the excitement!" He puffed out his chest, fully taking the credit as if he had paid a few actors and rehearsed the whole shebang beforehand. "Thanks, Vale! I try my best! If there's anything else you think can be improved for our next hot pot party, please let me know! Always open to feedback."

Avery glanced curiously at the leaves that Hunter gave Hildegard. There wasn't any doubt in his mind that what Hunter said was true, though he was surprised that he had given them to Schneider, if he had any hint as to what her reputation would be. However, it had probably been a long time since anyone had shown Hilda such a kind gesture, and she was the one who got injured by Juniper, after all. So, he raised his eyebrows as the disabled girl got up, tossing the leaves to the floor. Not wanting to see the leaves go to waste, Avery picked them up to hand them back to the Ravenclaw boy. "Sorry about Hilda," he said, apologetically. "She's just a little off her rocker most of the time."

Hilda soon released a barrage of venom upon her own housemates in an attempt to redirect Juniper's anger. At Hildegard's finger, which was pointed to him in rebuke, Avery pointed to himself in disbelief and glanced around the table, blinking widened eyes as if completely innocent despite his own eagerness to gloat a bit previously. "Hold up! Me? I'm just here having a chat with a new friend and sharing some food. Not doing anything in particular, you know. Innocent, a hundred percent! Mostly just sour that Ravenclaw beat us in quidditch, but, let's all sit down and have some food, shall we?" Now that Hilda had refocused Juni's attention on them, he was finally eager to assuage her anger lest he lose a finger.

Blood. Yes, of course there was blood. And quite frankly, she didn't care. Not even about the pain. But only a little pain was there. What was really there was chaos. The blood running down her face was reason enough to explain the reputation that followed her name. A thousand screams echoed in and around her head at the sight of the bloodied girl at her feet. And then fear. What had she done? And suddenly, she was being... threatened. Scolded, you could say. Ridiculed. Her breathing quickened as she turned to Hunter, she might of looked insane. Because, well. She sort of was. In her own way, she had gone crazy. Hunter was at her side, his hand on her shoulder. She jerked away from him, slapping his hand. "Don't touch me!"

She locked eyes with Hunter. "What are you doing?" She hissed harshly. Was he... telling her to take her anger out on him. And he told her to choose her next move wisely. That's a threat. A threat. You're being threatened. DO something. "I don't like being threatened." She said simply. She whipped her head to the girl on the floor. "Shut up!" She snapped. She brought her hands to her ears. She didn't want to hear the screaming of the disabled girl.

"FINE. Hunter. " She swung her leg up and aimed to hit him right beneath the waist... you know where. "I will take my anger out on you." As for the disabled girl. She was still on the ground whining. "What?" She asked, a ringing in her ears. "I don't- that's not what-" wait. DID she want revenge? She wanted to say no. That straight-up made her a bad guy. But the devil on her shoulder told her yes. She took off her shoe and chucked it as hard as she could at Avery. Once chaos followed, she ran to retrieve her shoe and quickly put it on. She grabbed some of the food and dumped it on anyone who would try and hold her down. She was acting like a wild animal. "Everyone just shut up!" She yelled. She certainly had caused too much chaos. She turned and ran.
