It was August, and Rose was now thirteen. She was sitting in the library of her house, with a book in her hands. She wasn't reading the book, she was just holding it. She had spaced out, her thoughts wandering. She thought about her mother, about her stepfamily, about Hogwarts. It had been strange, how some times, she wasn't able to read. When she was in her first year, whenever she had too much on her mind, she could curl up with a book to push the thoughts aside. Now, she couldn't do that, for whatever reason. The thoughts just kept nagging at the back of her brain until she let go of trying to focus. It was strange, and Rose didn't know why.
Rose stood up from where she had been, picking up her phone that she had left out to the side and checking the time. It read 13:37. Aldor had been invited to come between one and two. Rose realized- that was like... now. She had been wasting time just sitting there, hadn't she?
Aldor had invited her over to his house over Spring Break, so Rose thought it was only right to invite him to come visit her in her new house. She had actually gotten dressed in actual clothes for this, so she was ready.
Rose had talked with her mother and Luke to make sure it was okay, and Pearl had reluctantly told Rose that she was going to be at work. Luke had jumped in, reassuring his wife he would be taking a day off from work that day anyway. Then ensued some disgusting chatter and flirting between the two of them, which Rose endured, ultimately ending up with Aldor's visit approved. She thanked them out of habit and had left the room before she had to see whatever came next. She had told all of her siblings that Aldor would be coming over the day after Aldor had owled her back to tell her that his aunt said yes, and then had reminded them again that morning at breakfast.
Rose almost didn't want Aldor coming over here, due to her siblings. Well, not all of her siblings. Just her blood siblings. They were exhausting, and Rose wasn't surprised that sometimes Henry didn't seem all the way pleased with them. Aldor wasn't as tolerating or socially aware as Henry was, and she was nervous that they would overwhelm him with their chaos. She was sure that Henry's presence at the house would help, if Henry wanted to be present while Aldor was there. Hopefully Aldor would be alright.
The redhead sat back down, deciding to wait in the library until she heard the doorbell or the telltale shout of one of her siblings' voices.

Aldor stepped in front of the door and as shyly as ever, he rung the doorbell. Just like Rose, Aldor thought that today would be a good day to wear something decent, he was wearing a black jacket, white shirt and blue jeans, the only thing that didn't seem to change through his outfits where the necklace around his neck and the old black shoes he always used.
Although he looked nice overall, his hairstyle never changed, it was as messy as it has ever been, he thought that Iphiane could've helped him, but today he wasn't with Iphiane, he was with Tommy, Iphiane's boyfriend. And he was NOT going to ask Tommy for help, not even in his worst nightmares.
It was true that all that Thomas wanted was to be good with Aldor and get to know him better, but Aldor was having non of that, was inmature from him to act this way? Possibly, but he thought that it was better this way, even if he couldn't stop Tommy from dating his aunt, he was not accepting him as his family.
''Hey buddy, would you mind if I at least said hi to your friends? I'd like to meet the cool people you met at Hogwarts you know?''
Thomas said, placing his hand on the boy's shoulder with a smile on his face and a tone that sounded like he was trying really poorly to convince Aldor to let him talk to his friends, Aldor on the other hand, turned to him and just looked at him with a poker face and answered in a dry way.
''I don't think so- Depends on what they say, don't you have to go back home with Iphy anyway?''
He look back at the door, trying not to think too much about the fact that the person who annoyed him the most came to bring him safely to the house of his best friend, this was ridiculous, he could just let Aldor wait at the door, he didn't need to stay with him. All the company he needed right now was in his hands, curiously looking around, Freyja, the wonderful gray rat that just like Aldor, didn't have any sort of interest in being friends with Thomas.
In fact, the rodent had already bitten Tommy a few times because he attempted to feed her or carry her around. Aldor and Freyja had her differences, but they agreed on something Thomas Bobellon would not be their friend any time soon.
And so, the boy kept waiting, trying to ignore the fact Tommy was quietly singing behind him, he didn't want the man to embarass him in front of his best friends family, he was already nervous to meet them, and having such bad company as Thomas was making it even worst. All he wanted was some peace and silence to think for a few seconds.

The full moon was a few days ago.
August 23rd
And it's now August 29th. Six days since his transformation, since he gave himself the scar running across his right shoulder and bicep that can easily be hidden with long sleeves. The scar that Henry implicated on himself by his own claws.
The teen took a breath as his brother ran his fingers along it, tracing it as their father watched standing over the two sitting on the couch. Arthur examined the scar, turning his brother's arm before putting it down as he spoke" it could have been worse," Henry pulled his sleeve back over his arm as he turned from his brother to father, listening to the man speak" it's the first so that's good, let us know if it happens again at Hogwarts alright," Henry only nodded toward the man as he as held his arms over his chest and aimed his eyes down which Arthur caught and reassured" others won't know, you can hide it just like the other one. You'll be fine, merlin."
The teen looked up at his elder brother and father as he nodded a bit, replying" I know, I know and I will," taking steady breaths that two caught this behavior and decided to change the subject for Henry's interest as Luke spoke" anything new with your case?" Looking over at Arthur who studied his younger brother for a moment before moving his eyes toward his father as he spoke" nothing yet but we're investigating a lead in knockturn alley today," Henry looked at his elder brother, curious about the lead but worried why he was going into the alley. The teen felt lost all his life, watching his mum died and losing the ability to be normal. To be human. At such a young age.
Then his twin sister. His other half ran away and then friends that left who he might never seen again.
The Alluring's keeping their distance again and the Knights hidden away in secret with only his uncle to tell him about them. Who he met a few days ago. Who Rose doesn't seem to trust...
Henry couldn't lose his brother, he couldn't. Arthur had been the one thing- the one person he could count on to remain by his side for the past few years. He was his feeling of normal and comfort, he couldn't lose him. He couldn't.
"Well just be careful while your there and stay vigilant," Luke spoke as Arthur looked at his father and replied" I know, father. I did after to pass a exam and go through training for missions," the three of them laughed softly for a moment before silence over took them again as Arthur checked his watched then spoke" I best be off, Henry I'll be back after I promise," ruffling his younger brother's hair gently as he got up and moved to the center of the room drawing his wand then disapprateing with a small pop.
The two looked over then looked at each other, Luke smoothed out his jacket as he spoke" I have some paperwork to fill out so make sure the other stay out of my office," Henry got off the couch, standing as he examined his father for a moment with blue eyeing as the man cross his arms and hold them in a stiff position as he spoke" got it but why did you take the day? That was mental, I don't think you ever did it before this holiday." Henry watched his father give him a light smile as he looked down at his younger son and replied" I told you, Pearl makes me happy." Henry gave a small chuckle as he brushed a few strand of hair from his bright blue eyes and the man playful pushed his son's left shoulder as he spoke" she is brilliant, give her a chance okay?" Looking down at his son who avoided his eyes, Henry couldn't look at the lady as a mother. He couldn't. Not when his own mother felt so close yet was so far from him.
Luke eyes the pendant around his neck, wondering why he keep it out since before he use to hide it from others as he spoke" try to at least, I'm going to start on that paperwork," the man nodded toward his son then turned on his heels and headed upstairs to his office while Henry reached his left hand up to the pendant and rubbed it once smiling before letting it go and allowing the pendant to hang around his neck.
The teen is wearing a pair of jeans, long sleeve sweatshirt that use to be Arthur's, the pendant, five friendship bracelets (one matched with the one that Rose wore), and since this was his house he wasn't wearing shoes or socks.
The teen started wallowing toward the stairs to head to his room when Gabe came runing downstairs and fell into step with Henry who was walking upstairs as he spoke" what did he do now?" He meaning Franklin who Henry happened to be the person Gabe came to when the older boy did something. However to his surprise, he listened to Gabe speak" nothing this time, can I see your scar again?" Only his family and stepfamily knew about the scar running along his right shoulder and bicep that he currently has hidden as he spoke" later Gabe, after Rose's friend leave." The pair reached the second floor and started walking toward Henry's room that he shared with Rose as Gabe spoke" can we play quidditch or mess with Frankie then?" Henry just smiled softly as he looked over at Gable and replied" after he leaves."
"But it will be boring till then!" Gabe groaned as Henry listened to him, opening up his room door to find Rose wasn't there slightly happy to have the room to himself as he turned to Gabe and spoke" what about this, I will show you a advanced spell at school and play quidditch with you today if you give me a few minutes alone," Gabe grew as a soft spot in Henry, as he looked him over with shining blue eyes listening to the younger boy's words, "Okay! This will be amazing!"
Henry watched him run down the hall as he entered the room, shutting the door realizing that Rose didn't know he was there and if she would come would probably he surprised. The teen however stayed, taking a seat on his bottom bunk next to Loki who woken from his sleep and now watched his owner with amber eyes.
The teen pulled out a book from the shelf above his pillow that Edward gave him, it contained a family tree and photos of the Knight family. Henry opened it to a page and started going through the book, looking at his photo carefully.
After a few hours, the teen laid back on his pillow still looking at the book as Loki laid by his feet when he heard the doorbell and decided not to leave the book and his spot on the bed to answer it especially when he smelled his father leaving his office and heading toward the door.
Aldor didn't know that Henry was a werewolf, but his stepfamily did so Henry had montell each not to tell Aldor anything during his visit as he heard from downstairs his father opening the door and then heard his voice.
"Hello there, you must be there friend from school and you must be his father. Please come in and remove your shoes if you don't mind."

"Hello there, you must be there friend from school and you must be his father. Please come in and remove your shoes if you don't mind."
Rose's posture straightened at the sound of the door opening and Luke's words. Chaska walked in the room and Rose went over, picking the cat up and holding her over her shoulder. She stuffed her phone in her back pocket. She quickly made her way to the door, finding Luke standing there, letting two figures inside. Aldor and- a man.
Luke had said that he must be Aldor's father, but that couldn't be right. Aldor's parents had cut him off years ago, and hadn't talked to him much at all. Was it his father, after all? What had she missed over the summer? Seeing Aldor, she smiled at him. "Hey, Aldor. How's it going?" she asked him, Chaska over her shoulder. He didn't look entirely pleased with the man behind him, but at least he looked okay.
Chaska squirmed and Rose let her down. The cat went over to Aldor and the man behind him, sniffing Aldor's shoes and rubbing against his leg, then sniffing the shoes of the mystery man. Chaska looked up at the man's face, glanced back at Rose, then back at the man. It was obvious that she wasn't sure what to think about him, and wanted Rose to tell her. Rose rolled her eyes at the fluffy feline, coming forward to offer Aldor a hug, opening her arms to him.
If Aldor accepted her hug, she would hug him, then pull back, searching his eyes for a moment. Then she bent down to scoop her cat up again, taking a couple steps back from Aldor, Luke, and the mystery man. Then, addressing the guy she didn't know, she said. "Hi. I'm Rose. I don't... think we've met, have we?" As much as she wracked her brain, she couldn't remember seeing him before at all. Who was he? Was she supposed to know him?
Rose smiled courteously. "Uhm, come in, come in. How long do you think you'll be staying?" she asked the both of them.

Henry remained in his room, sitting on the bottom bunk as he flipped through the photo album with Loki by his side. However, the teen could hesr the words stated below him as he caught Rose's voice. Soft and hard to hear through the floor and then his father's. Louder. Stern. Much easier to hear.
"Rose, get your cat before it escapes and mind you that your a child and I'm a adult. Your words don't overlap my own."
Henry smiled softly to himself, wondering silently what Rose's words were for that type of reponse from his father. Remembering correctly, he only heard his father speak that way when his twin got into trouble.
"I'm afraid I don't have time for chitchat today, sir. Your wife, I assume told me that Aldor will be picked up in a hour, correct?"
Henry listened to his father's words while down below the man stared at them both inpt giving them a second to respond before he continued.
"See you in a hour then. Now, Aldor come in and remove your shoes."
Henry heard his father's voice and then the door shut as he turned another page of the phtot album, eyes gazing on the photos. Rubbing his fingers along the pages as he heard his father's voice once more.
"Stay out of my office while your here, lad. Rose should know where it is and no food or pets inside the library."
Luke then left with footsteps that Henry could hear. The teen sat back, leaning on his pillows as he flip the page. Eyes glistening on each photo, silently and softly smiling at the ones of his mother when she was a child. Her blue eyes filled with wonder and brown hair out of place. It reminded the teen of himself and his twin sister before hogwarts came into the picture and ruined thier relationship.
Turning the page, Henry eyes found two girls. Identical. Both with red hair and brown dresses, covered in freckles. Henry squinted to resd the name underneath them. Hum- Humble- Humbleglow!
Wait. What? The teen read again. The word not fully progessing in his mind as he stared at the picture, wondering why is it there. Eyes flickering over the date. Could this mean what he thought? The teen looked over toward the door then dropped his head back toward the book, forgetting that someone could come in at any moment as Loki stretched out besides him.

Aldor finally smiled when he looked at Rose, stopping quietly as he listened to who he could only assume was Henry's father, he was terrifying, but he tried to keep his manners and reply in a gentle tone of voice to his words.
"Thanks sir, I won't be much trouble-"
But Thomas had other things in mind.
"oh don't you wory sir! I'll stay with my little buddy, will take him away when the time is done, I'm sure you kids won't mind I watch over this little fellow right?"
He said putting his hand on Aldor's head, the kid tried to keep up with his smile, but his blood was boiling.
Aldor did as Luke had instructed and took his shoes off, followed by Thomas, he wasn't ready to handle his konsense today, but he guessed he had to do it for Iphiane. Thomas finally noticed Rose, he smiled like a fool and in a loud tone he introduced himself.
"Oh! Nice to meet you, aren't you Al's best friend? Oh you must be wonderful if my buddy decided to be friends with you so quickly. I'm Thomas Bobellon, I'm Iphiane's boyfriend."
Aldor simply nodded, looking at Rose in silence, it almost looked like he was begging for lightning to strike Thomas any moment, specially whenever he called him his "buddy".
" I brought Freyja with me- I hope it isn't a problem with Chaska and Loki."
The rat was finally completely awake, looking around with curiosity, but for some reason she avoided looking at Thomas at all costs, neither of the two really seemed interested in listening to him.

As Aldor started to ask her how she was, Luke snapped at her for letting Chaska smell the newcomers. In the poshest way possible, he then told her to shut up. He hadn't said it like that, but that's what Rose took it as, and she bit her lip, suppressing the retort that she really wanted to say. Chaska won't escape, and I know you're an adult. She didn't let herself be as sassy as she wanted to, but she couldn't hold back, "I was just saying hi to my friend." It was quiet, and Rose doubted Luke could hear it, but he could have if he was listening to her.
But she obeyed anyway, knowing that if she didn't his stern voice and snappy attitude would never end. She snapped at Chaska, and the cat shot her a dirty look before coming to sit obediently by her side.
Luke assumed too many things. Rose didn't want to correct him at the moment, since he was already not in the greatest mood. That guy was most definitely not Aldor's father, and Rose was fairly sure he didn't have a wife. If he and Aldor's aunt had gotten married already... well, Aldor had a lot to catch her up on. Thomas jumped into the conversation, and Rose forced herself to not flinch. He was so loud.
The redhead smiled politely- that one smile that barely anybody would recognize as the smile that meant absolutely nothing. She was not happy at all at that moment, simply trying her best to be polite. "Uhm..." she started, but Luke cut her off again, announcing that he had no time to chat. He gave them directions and left. Rose didn't know why her mom was so in love with him sometimes.
Thomas finally seemed to notice her, complimented her, and introduced himself loudly. "Uh- hi. I've heard about you." It sounded awkward. She was going to say that she'd heard a lot about him, but that simply wasn't true at all. She'd heard about him. It was that simple.
Rose honestly doubted that Thomas even knew her name, even though he should have. "I'm Rose," she said. The redhead noticed how completely uncomfortable Aldor looked, and she felt bad for him.
He mentioned Freyja, which Rose supposed was the rat that he had brought. "I think it should be okay. Can I hold him for just a second?" she asked. If he let her, she would take Freyja into her hands, familiarizing herself with the rat for a moment. Then she crouched down, presenting the rat to Chaska. Chaska leaned forward, sniffing Freyja, then reached up a paw to bat at him. "Noooo," Rose said, pulling Freyja back, then presenting the rat to Chaska again. "This is our friend." Chaska looked at Rose with confused eyes, then seemed to accept that she was not meant to play with the rat.
Rose handed the rat back to Aldor. "They're really pretty. How long have you had them?" she asked him.
She gave him time to answer, then said, "How about I show you my room? I think Henry's in there right now, so we don't have to be in there very long."
She took him upstairs and knocked on the door. "Hey Henry, can we come in?"

"Yes, well you can follow him you want. I have some woro to attend to."
Luke commented, eyeing thr man before shutting the door and leaving for his office.
Henry couldn't see but he heard the voices down below and the scents. His mind flickering over the owls that Aldor sent him earlier, explaning it all (everything he told Rose and a bit more) while Henry did th3 same. Sending owls telling him mostly everything, minus the werewolf part and well what he just found out....
Henry flipped a page in the album, eyes flickering over the faces embedded in the photos. Memories. Running his finger along the edge of the page, Henry smiled softly to himself. There are photos and names that he never imagined would connect with the Knights. It isn't much but it is a start. A start to a story that will lead on endless turns and drops, heartbreaks and memories, death and rememberance until reaching the end. The end where loads of family but also tears will be... the end after a long and tiring journey.
Henry doesn't know it as he flips through that photo album that he is on the journey at that very moment.
Flipping through, smiling at a time before his. At a time where his mum was alive ans young, where she smiled and created memories. Memories that Henry could see learn about from a photograph.
Henry flipped the page when a knock came to the door followed by the voice of his sister. Henry waited a few moments before responding, flipping through the pages as his eyes flickered to each photo. To each person incased in the still. Henry looked for a moment before closing the book, deciding not to have others see the contents yet.
Loki gazed up at his onwer from his spot on the bottom bunk, all stretched out and head laying on his paws. The feline looked comfy and Henry smiled before remembering his sister outside the room. He took a moment, breathed in and gathered the scents. Aldor, Freyjay, and man along with the usual. Rose and Chaska. Curious who the man is but not wanting to change out of his sweatshirt, Henry smiled a little as his blue eyes glistened with mischief.
"No one allowed in my room right now."
Henry smiled to himself as he heard Rose's reply back. One thing that he enjoyed being siblings is their banter, they can do it constantly when in the end still kniw that they love each other.
"It's my room to."
"I have more say."
"No, you don't."
"I'm older!"
"I'm younger!"
"I'm taller!"
"I'm shorter!"
"I'm smarter!"
"I'm- not falling for that."
Henry smiled softly as he opened the book, flipping through the pages as he spoke"again." Their banters are usually playful and harmless, the teen usually brings intelligence into them as he flipped through the book. Emotion drained from his face, becoming emotionless as he expected Rose to open the door. The onlt thing present on his face is a soft smile.
"We're coming in!"
"Respect your elders wished, Rosie," Henry playfully jabbed toward Rose as he cloaed the book then allowed his eye to flicker toward the door.
When the door would open, Henry would avoid Rose's gaze as he offered a nod toward Aldor and spoke"hey Al, is that Freyjay?" nodding toward the rat as Loki perked up at the sight of the rodent, Henry imagined that Freyjay reminded Loki of Rascal who is the feline's best buddy.
"Loki loves small animals, particularly rats so you don't have to worry about him," Henry explained then he set his eyes onto the man behind Aldor. Taking a guess that was the one who introduced himself as Thomas downstairs, Henry didn't see anyone else so took a wager that the name her heard earlier from down below exchanging wordd with hia father now stood in front of him.
"Erm- would you mind giving us some privacy mister? The family room is cozy," Henry spoke toward the man not minding that Rose was there but not wanting to tell Aldor the information he had with the strange man present.

Changed the dialogue color again because the last two were burning my eyes, yay, purple remains as Aldor's official color nonetheless.
Thomas seemed confused about Rose telling him that she'd heard about him before, he surely hoped it were good things, even if Aldor knew that the only thing Rose knew about Thomas was that he was a terrible burden to deal with, at least based on what he told her about him before.
"Have you? I guess Al here told you about me. Very nice to meet you Rose!"
The man smiled proudly, not saying a single comment after that, as Aldor was dedicated currently to not paying much attention to him and whatever he was doing.
Aldor nodded as he accepted Rose's request to hold Freyja, he placed his pet rat on Rose's hands, the rat seemed pleased with both the girl and the cat, Freyja was usually a very grumpy creature, so it was impressive to see her adapt to being around Rose so quickly.
" I got her since break started, I guess I forgot to write about her to you. Break has been- Weirder than I thought. "
After the brief explanation and receiving Freya back in his hands, Aldor followed Rose to her room, along with Thomas, who seemed really invested in sticking around the Irish kid. Freyja looked at him once, and turned away, ignoring the man completely. Aldor smiled after finally seeing his friend reciving him with a smile too, although, Aldor looked like he was forcing his smile a little.
" Hey Henry- "
The rat watched the two with attention, almost as if it was expecting a reward for behaving and staying on Aldor's hands without complains.
" Yup it's her- Chaska already met her, guess it's Loki's turn now. I'm sure they will get along well. "
Aldor smiled softly, but even more once Henry asked Thomas to leave, a devilish looked sparked in Aldo's eyes, freedom, he thought, not having to listen to Thomas was almost too good to be truth.

The man's eyes widened, he seemed a bit shocked that three teens needed to keep secrets that badly, but he guessed he should comply.
" Oh- Sure pleased to meet you both, don't blow anything up alright buddy? Oh also, excuse him if he has a bad mood today, we went to Tadeus' funeral yesterday, sorry we didn't ask you to be there, it was very sudden- "
Aldor turned to face him in an instant, giving him a murderous look, he hadn't told Henry nor Rose about what happened, in fact, Rose didn't even know Aldor's father was named Tadeus, if anything, he had only mentioned it once to Henry, but Thomas seemed to have assumed otherwise. Or so it seemed considering the confusion he had when Aldor snapped at him.
" I asked you not to mention him- Did I not? Please, give us some space- "
Thomas nodded nervously as he left, excusing himself. Aldor muttered something under his breath, turning back to his friends. Thomas had a jolly pace on him, Aldor on the other hand looked ready to explode, for someone with such a tame personality, it was almost scary to see him like this. But there was probably a good reason behind it all. He tried to gather himself as he looked at both of them with a worried smile set on his lips.
" I-I am so sorry for that- We have a lot to catch up with. "

Rose was glad to see Luke go- he had just been making everything so much stiffer for all of them. She didn't know how her mom could stand him sometimes. She smiled awkwardly at Thomas, not really wanting to talk to the adult at all. He couldn't really take a hint, could he? Rose had barely been talking to him the whole time he was here. Didn't he know that there was literally no kid in the entire world that would want their aunt's boyfriend following them around?
Freyja, fortunately, was very cooperative as Rose held her, and she transferred the rat back to her owner carefully. Aldor mentioned that a lot had happened over the break, and Rose wondered what he was talking about. He hadn't written to her about much except for when they had been planning for him to come over. "Everything alright?" she asked casually, a glance at Thomas. She knew that the man was part of the equation, but she didn't know to which extent.
As Rose asked if she could come into their room, she heard a sarcastic reply back.
"No one allowed in my room right now."
Rose sighed, rolling her eyes. "It's my room too," she said, crossing her arms, even though the Slytherin couldn't see her.
"I have more say."
Her brow furrowed, and she smiled. "No, you don't!"
"I'm older!"
"I'm younger!"
"I'm taller!"
"I'm shorter!" Rose had no idea why this was relevant to their conversation, but she said it anyway, enjoying the friendly banter between the two of them.
"I'm smarter!"
"I'm-" Rose paused, smiling and rolling her eyes again. "I'm not falling for that." Rose had almost fallen for it, but she was glad she had caught herself. She heard the word he said, and said, "We won't be in there long. We're coming in."
Henry told her that she should respect her elders. "Wow. 'Cause you know, I find the four months in which you were born before me incredibly significant." Less than four months, actually. But she didn't feel like calculating the time between the two days. Her eyes were playful. Rose honestly enjoyed the harmless banter between the two of them. She knew at this point, Henry wasn't getting rid of her for another few years, and he couldn't do the same either.
Rose let herself in, Aldor coming in behind her. They both talked a little about their pets as Loki looked up at the rat, looking curious. Then they asked Thomas to excuse himself, which Rose had wanted to do, and would have if they hadn't. She nodded, signifying her agreement with both of the boys.
At the word funeral, Rose seemed to tense, and Aldor became simply furious, something she had never seen him before. He was usually very mild in terms of his emotions. He seemed to calm down a little as Thomas left. "That's okay," Rose said. "Uhm- I'm sorry about Tadeus. Funerals suck." Rose inwardly facepalmed. Wow. Such a good thing to say to comfort her friend.
