Alchemy 1: Symbols Closed

It was 16:45, Hunter had left the Grand hall early to reach back to one of the old classrooms on the second floor. He would only have about an hour before having to head back to the hall because of Dinner. Hunter awaited amongst the front area of the rickety old classroom. The room wasn't as dusty or cobweb-filled as he anticipated when he first entered, and it seemed it had been used by previous students before. This was bound to be the first meeting of the club he had prepared with anticipation. At first, he planned to just form a club for just potions, but it didn't feel like he was stretching far out enough to grab the interest of students and himself. He was always confident in his potion skills, and he knew that there were so many more students at Hogwarts with greater potential and skill than him. He wanted a challenge, a challenge that both he and his fellow club members would find difficult despite age or house. His family of African lineage allowed him to research a bit about the school known as Uagadou. His grandmother mentioned it very little, but she spoke of Alchemy being a part of its curriculum there. As of now, Hunter has yet to hear any professor or student talk about Alchemy, and he wondered why. His curiosity is what lead him to books and study of Alchemy, but it was his fascination with it that allowed him to push forward. Eventually, Hunter himself found the key points of Alchemy still rather confusing, and he was not a prodigy; he just really enjoyed learning. As such, he formed a club in order to help himself, but also to help other students understand the concepts and ideas that Alchemy has, its history, and its key figures. He hoped the club would possibly cause the subject to become a permanent course at Hogwarts, or perhaps he himself could achieve at becoming a Professor who taught the subject to students in the future. Perhaps, as Hunter hoped, he could become the youngest Professor to ever teach at Hogwarts. It was a thought, a rather far one, but he wouldn't let "if's" stop him, only facts.

The classroom was badly dusted, and the preparations Hunter had made weren't as professional as the actual classrooms utilized by the other Professors, but it was a start. He had written on the chalkboard "Welcome Members!", in hopes that at least a few, rather than one, students would show up. He placed posters across the wooden and stone walls of the classroom, each with varying written text from Hunter, and rather average drawings on each. Hunter looked back at the "Welcome Members!" on the rather large chalkboard. It only filled about a quarter of the massive board, and soon he was filled with anxiety. He worried what he would do if he couldn't address the other members, better yet he was rather short (even for his age) with a "nerdy" look. He was afraid he'd earn little to no respect from the members, and even began to think back as to how embarrassing it was for him to use the tables in the room to post up the posters and even write on the chalkboard. He took more time writing on the chalkboard, now. He drew a few diagrams, and wrote some descriptions. When he finally felt satisfied, he sat in the back of the class and took out a book while he waited for any members to come.

Welcome members!
Welcome, to The Alchemy Club, a club of challenging difficulty that will deal with potions, transfiguration, history, and much more. This is our very first meeting, so please get comfortable and don't be afraid to introduce yourself to your fellow club members. Knowledge is opened to all, thus any problems you may have towards other members personally, or for house reasons must be kept outside of this very room and any other proceeding meetings. Today, we will be going over the symbols of Alchemy. Why? Because I (as your founder), want us all to have some fun interaction of walking around the room and just getting to know each other and what this club will be about. Please, go around and write any notes about the following symbols, your favorite ones, and don't be afraid to discuss them with other members. We will be seeing these symbols much more often in the future, and they will be extremely important for many of the activities we will be doing! Also, if something seems confusing now, don't worry, we'll be going more in-depth with these items very soon! If you have any questions, discuss amongst each other or with the young gentleman in the back with yellow glasses. -Head Alchemist

To the left of this message was a very unique symbol of odd origin, it was of a snake in the formation of a perfect circle. The circle was complete and large, with its tails inside its mouth, and a word below it: "Ouroboros"
