If the previous round was somewhat boring, this bout of casting was anything but. Willow, having recovered her wand, could cast a Flipendo that targeted both of her opponents. Unfortunately for the lone Badger, it would appear that she had spread herself too thinly, since neither Slytherin was hit. Santario and Sarah did almost the reverse of what Willow did - instead of one spell targeting two foes, they would send two identical attacks at one opponent. The spells impacted at the exact same moment and Ana winced slightly. Willow would definitely not be comfy after that.

Luck seemed to come back around at least for the moment. Both San and Sarah had managed to dodge the incoming Flipendoes but Willow had been hit by both.

It really was going to come down to the last likely moments of consciousness for them all before this duel would end as she was certain Willow would not continue yo miss them. She was a capable duellist.

Even the lightning storm hadn't dared to hit her yet.

[font=century gothic]Image posted by the memberThis entire duel had felt as though it was a game of push and pull - as one side broke ahead, the other was quick at its heels to come right back. Sarah was sure that was how duels were supposed to be, equal enough for both sides to have a fair change of coming out victorious, though it didn't make her any less anxious as the duel continued. In fact, quite the opposite, as the girl realist that despite being one against two, they were still seemingly evenly matched.

For this round at least, the Slytherin's came out on top as both snakes managed to evade Willow's oncoming spell - Sarah twirling with a drama almost certainly unnecessary for the situation she was in. And almost as quickly as they'd managed to dodge Willow's spell, they had cast twin jinxes at the badge which left her stumbling backwards slightly.

It appeared as though the overriding factor remaining in who would walk out of this match victorious was luck. The ability of all three duellists was not something in question, all having shown their hand in spell-casting and dodging within the first few rounds. Sarah hoped they had Merlin on their side, a Slytherin of old rooting for them to win today.

Duelling was a special kind of hell. Completely separate from Quidditch. At least two people would be unconscious by the end, and Willow was fighting every round to stay afloat. She was getting tired, and her spells weren't hitting. Despite her spell spread being successful, both girls dodged as Willow was hit twice, momentarily feeling like she couldn't breathe. Once more, she looked to where her duelling partner had once been standing. For her, Willow would fight until the end.

This round was rather brutal. Willow's spell quite literally blew up in her face, sending her wand several meters away. As if that was not painful enough for the Hufflepuff, the spells that hit her shortly after were. Santario would cast a spell that Willow would very nearly dodge, but it hit her just enough to propel her directly into Sarah's spell, which Willow took the full brunt of.

Ana bit her lip, eyes darting back and forth between the duellists. While the outcome seemed fairly obvious, there was still time left in the duel, and if this match had taught Ana anything, it was that she had absolutely no idea what was going on.

An eyebrow arched as Willow’s spell backfired on her; it was ironic that it was the disarming charm as her wand went sailing from her hand as if her wand was saying it was done. Santario observed Willow carefully as she did not quite manage to get out of the way of Santario’s complete spell and only managed to get hit squarely by Sarah. San scanned the Hufflepuff. There was no doubt that the girl didn’t have much left in her this duel. Even if she tried to hide it, there would still be signs that they both could spot as healers in training and duellists.

Time was limited but slightly on their side, given that Willow now had to find her wand, again, and she was sure the ever-stewing rage of a storm brewing over her head was enough to cast further desperation. “Time to finish this.” She murmured, probably not even loud enough for her own partner to hear.

[font=century gothic]Image posted by the memberThe luck Sarah had been banking on seemed to come at the Slytherin's in full force as Willow's spell not only missed the pair of snakes, but backfired entirely. It had become somewhat commonplace during this duel to see Willow's wand fly from her hand and somewhere out of reach though the fact that it was because of her own spell this time back the victory almost bitter. She cringed as the wand flew away, noting the girls face with a hint of sorriness for the Hufflepuff. Not enough for her not to cast her own spell which hit Willow square on just seconds after Santario's own partially hit her.

It almost seemed too easy now, that the result of this duel was set in stone already. The odds were incredibly in the favour now - two against one without their partner and now without their wand. Pity wasn't something the Slytherin thought she'd be feeling in her first duel of the year, though she felt it, sour within her mouth, as she watched the frantic look in her opponent's eyes. She heard her partner mutter something, too quiet for her to make out, though she expected it was something similar to her own thoughts - let's finish this duel.

In a brief breath between spells, Willow took a second to look around. They were the last duel standing in this block of time. All of her Hufflepuffs had fallen, her captain had fallen. Her girlfriend... was watching. All of this surmounted in her brain as she tried to rid the two witches of their wands. "Expelliarmus!" Her wand brutally backfired, sending itself careening across the piste, lost to her eyes. If there was a chance that she could still win this she would have to put everything in her being towards it. Man... she could go for a nap right now.

SLYTHERIN VICTORY
And that was the duel! Willow, trooper she was, immediately set about searching for her wand. Santario was not supportive of this endeavor, and shot a Knockback Jinx flying towards the Hufflepuff. The spell made contact and Ana could tell that was the end of things as it hit. Sarah also cast a Knockback Jinx, but perhaps she had pity for the unconscious Hufflepuff or simply was exhausted by the duel. In any event, the match was over. Ana wasn't religious, but she was ready to thank the deities of any denomination she could think of that it had concluded.

"And, stop! With Willow and Lydia unconscious and both Slytherins remaining, we have a winner. Slytherin emerges victorious!" she called out. "Congratulations, both of you."
