Dang it. It seemed everyone's aim was off today... Rolling her eyes at her loss but celebrating Robert's, she tried to shake off what she chalked up to brain fog from her zoning out a round or two ago. It would be fine! Right?

Turning to her partner she gave her a nod. She was looking a tad worse for wear, but it would have to work for now.

Robert's mouth twisted slightly in annoyance. Missing was never a good feeling, but now that he didn't have anyone else to lean on for help, it felt even worse. However, he was able to take slight comfort in the fact that he'd managed to dodge both incoming spells. If his aim was going to be off, at least everyone else's was as well.

Round Nine

The next set of spells turned out quite similar to the previous ones; and by that, it means most of them went unsuccessful.

Robert's second attempt at a Tarantallegra yielded the same results in that it missed—again. It was narrower this time around, though, which honestly is as much appreciation as Dmitri can give the spellcasting.

Elsa's Obscuro started out great—good form, the stance was right, the incantation was near-flawless. However, Sylvie's Flipendo, a successful attempt at getting rid of the pesky bubbles hounding her teammate, seemed to have startled her so much that Elsa almost (but not quite) blindfolded her, instead.

After the dust settled, the spectators would be able to see Dmitri run a hand through his face, sighing deeply.

This was going to be a long duel.

Robert sighed. This duel was starting to remind him of his last duel against Gryffindors, in which no one seemed to be able to connect either. He reflected ironically about what this said about the lions, with the brawn to cast but not the brain to aim. Of course though, he didn’t actually believe in such broad stereotypes, and the mere act of thinking it made him feel guilty. However, at least that guilt was somewhat interesting!

If nothing else, Sylvie at least got the bubbles away from Elsa. Unfortunately (yet another misfortune for the pair), Elsa's spell flew directly towards her face. Nothing hit, however, as she ducked before anything could make contact. "I'm fine! Don't worry about me." She gave her an awkward smile and a pat on the shoulder. "Lets just focus on Robert. We can still do this."

Round Ten

The duelists seemed to be determined to keep Dmitri ping-ponging from boredom to wry amusement from one round to the next.

This time Sylvie seemed to take offense with Elsa's blunder the previous round and tried to "accidentally" almost hit her, too. Or maybe it was purely an accident. Who knows. Sure, maybe not everyone is as vindictive as Dmitri but he wouldn't put it past the Gryffindor girl to give her teammate the same slice of pie she tried to serve previously.

On another note, it looked as if Robert and Elsa just made dueling an excuse to flirt with each other. Almost in a coordinated motion, both duelists hit each other with their own Dancing-Feet Spell, where, a second later, the entirety of the dueling arena would see them start to do the tango in a jerky movement of pale limbs. Both duelists seemed to be dancing to music only they could hear. In fact, with the way their arms bent in the air in front of them, they looked as if they had a partner they were holding on to.

It became abundantly clear to everyone else that they were dancing with each other.

Except they were 20-feet away.

Dmitri let out a beyond-graceful snort.

Disgusting, embarrassing and absolutely hilarious.

As her spell curved its way toward Elsa, Sylvie let out a not-so-nice shout at her own flipendo. Luckily, it missed it's would-have-been target. "OH MY GOD- I'M SORR....y...." She trailed off and stared as the two dueling wizards started doing a long distance tango together.



The woman was too stunned to speak. So instead of speaking, she pretended nothing was happening. She was trying very hard to, at least. Her expression was much like that in the image above.
