Despite the laughs, information, and trends that social media provides to society, there are many negative aspects to these apps. Social media can bring a lot of anxiety and negative thoughts to just about an teen, so here’s the question. Does the positive impact of social media outweigh the negativity it can bring? The answer is yes. Social media can keep teens connected with their friends, especially during the Pandemic. While it is arguable that social media dramatizes negative events, these posts can convince an overall large group of people to take a stand. So while social media can be negative, the positive impact it brings can outweigh the downside to these apps.
