As they stopped in front of the yard, Sabrina stopped so that Reid could put down the stand in order for her bike to sit on its own. A wave of guilt passed through her due to him leaving his bike behind, but as quickly as it came, it left. A dorky grin swept across her ivory face as her blue eyes flickered to the boy next to her. Her rock on this Earth, honestly. Where would she be without her best friend? Sitting on the pavement and crying after falling because she actually was a huge wuss underneath all of this tough and rough exterior.

Sometimes she wondered why she acted brave, but always assumed that it was simply because that was a part of who she was. She had to be, for her mother. She knew that she was going through harder times recently, even while not being old enough to understand it, Sabrina could recognize it. She had to be brave for Reid too, because she was sure if she were sobbing right now like she wanted to, he would be even more freaked out by the event. So instead, she smiled and toughed through it.

"No need," She phrased, pausing for a moment as she pursed her lips, looking from him to down the street, the way they had come; and the way they went racing off in on their bikes. "I don't think she will heckle me too much for it. Maybe a small slap on the wrist for being 'unladylike'," She scrunched her nose up, a giggle protruding from her at the mention of being a lady. She was anything but. "I will see you again before school though, right?" She asked, even though she already knew the answer. She didn't give him time before she raced off towards her door, raising her good hand to wave goodbye, her rather broken hand still tucked to her chest.

 "Bye!"

Sabrina was really tough, to the point of where he was sure she would easily best him both emotionally and physically. If that was done to him, he was sure he would be sniffling even just a little bit all the way home. Yet with the way she smiled, she looked like she didn't even care. Reid returned it. As she dashed off towards her home, he meekly smiled as he watched her. She forgot her bike and she didn't give his shoes back. "Bye." he waved, looking pretty amused.

Instead of calling her back, the boy continued on towards her house and nestled the bike in a spot where it wouldn't easily be taken. The neighborhood wasn't a place for crime anyway, so it wasn't much of a worry for him if he just left it in the open. Reid stepped back and glanced at the door, wishing he could tell her a proper goodbye - but he'd check on her tomorrow. "Oh - my bike." he seethed, muttering a little after. Reid jogged off towards the direction from whence they came, socks and all.

He would get his belongings tomorrow, he didn't want to barge into their business. It would be awkward with the state that Sabrina came home in. But now he had to come home to his mum and explain why he looked like someone bullied him and took his shoes and bag. It would be a funny story, maybe his she could help him make Sabrina something for her to get better. "Cookies or something, whatever." he huffed, disappearing around a corner.
