Between The Feathers
December 12thth
Emily headed into the owlery, visiting her beloved owl. She hadn't seen him ever since he had brought her letter to her parents, which wasn't unusual. Her sister, Amy, was a very font of Rufous and liked it if he stayed for a few days while her parents wrote up a reply, which Emily had nothing against. She knew how much Amy was founded of the magical world and knew it was a small meaning to her to let her own stay over for a bit.
As Rufous arrived, she gave him a treat for the long journey and this great service. "I'd be nothing without you Rufous, thankyou!" She said while petting his head. At the way, he reacted she could see that he loved it. Eversinds she was at Hogwarts, Rufous had always been there for her, supporting her, no matter what. They didn't speak the same language but in some way, she could understand him, and he understood her.
As she opened the letter she saw that her parents allowed her to go to the party, she was really happy to get the news, she knew her parents were deep inside sad that she wasn't going to be home for her birthday, but they knew that she was going to have fun, and thats what mathers to them. She folded the letter and gave Rufous another pet, he looked very satisfied to her so she turned around and as she tried to walk away, she had bumped into someone. "Not again!" She called out, she looked up and saw she had ran into a Slytherin, clearly not a first year. She'd done it again. Why did she keep running into Slytherin girls? Because she was urretly nuts, and clearly unable to see. She told herself. She got up and started excusing herself.
