Show me the dark side
Why did good things always have to bring something negative with them? The longer the redhead sat there with Charles and talked, the more she began to like the blond boy. It was obvious, the two understood each other, with and without words. Had an equal passion that they would only love to live out together, but that was hard to do. They were separated by the fact that they were at two different schools. Gosh, if she could, she would trade any Hogwarts student for him. She immediately thought of that one Slytherin girl she had her issues with in her first year. Without a second thought, she would send that one to Durmstrang and give her spot to Charles. It seemed like that was exactly the friendship she was currently lacking here.@Charles Alluring @Henry Knight
But she couldn't help it, she knew that, so they would have to make the best of it. The schools would visit each other often enough and maybe they could meet during the vacations. Or it would all just fizzle out and eventually all that would be left would be the memory that there was a blond boy out there named Charles who she thought was pretty cool. As much as she preferred the first option, she knew things would come as they came.
And once again, they understood each other. It would be like running a parallel between their two lives. Welcome to the dark side. Haley couldn't help but smile. "Thank you mister." she replied, smiling at him as he stood back up. For a moment she looked up at him in confusion, then at his hand, then back at him where she saw his smile.
She thought about his words for a brief moment. She reached out her hand for his and stood up so that she was now facing him. Her head slightly on her neck, she looked up at him. "Show me the dark side then." she said with a smirk and a playfully devilish look.

Haley Rose. Hogwarts student. Younger than Charles. Red hair. Green eyes. Quidditch Chaser. There is something about her that Charles likes, and is drawn to. He doesn't want to insult or forget her like he usually does with others. Instead, he wants to help. Befriend her. Grow close to her. The blonde swore that he wouldn't become close to another, only keep the small circle he had but what's one more. Especially one like Haley.
The blonde smiled toward her, something about her made him smile. Something about her allowed him to be himself, to laugh without worry of being judged or constantly thinking about her abandoning him. Charles is free from worry when he's with Haley, wishing that the girl won't become a distinct memory. But rather a person he can grow close to and look forward to seeing and writing to.
Perhaps it is due to the age gap between the two or that Charles towered over Haley in height. Or maybe because the girl reminded him of his younger cousin. Whichever the reason, the blonde has a strong urge to help her and protect her even…. Strange.
The blonde smiled with a head nod toward the girl's first words. Due to his attitude and words most would assume that Charles is a bad boy. One that lives in the 'dark side'. So Charles found Haley's words humorous and thought why not help the girl, he could have another bad child. Another that walks on the 'dark side'.
Feeling Haley's hands in his, Charles pulled her up then let go as he spoke"it won't be for the light of hearts but as you wish, Miss Rose," nodding toward the redhead as his eyes flashed to the rising moon. Have the pair been out for that long? Moving his eyes back toward Haley staring at her for a moment, Charles spoke"the moon is rising, I'll see you tomorrow?" Charles would wait for a answer.
Takimg his hands from his pockets, after hearing Haley speak the blonde would take her hand in his and kiss gently before he spoke"till the morning,Hal," Charles twirled the girl once letting go of her hand then gave a smooth head nod as he walked away. Back toward the campsite where Dumstrang is staying. Looking forward to see Haley Rose the next day.

It was a sense of safety that Haley felt around Charles. Not the security she already knew from other people. It was something different and Haley couldn't quite place it yet, but her gut told her that she could trust Charles. Haley would rely on her feeling, it just had to be right in this constellation.@Charles Alluring @Henry Knight
Darkness had fallen on the two of them by now. It had felt like five minutes but obviously the two of them had put a lot of time behind them. It had already happened to her that she had lost the feeling for time so much that it flew past her just like that. That happened only rarely and with the right people. Charles was becoming one of those and somehow it hurt her heart that she would soon no longer be able to meet with the blond boy. How she would love to meet him here regularly and philosophize and laugh about all the gits in this world. At that thought, Haley began to grin to herself.
"I'd be honored," Haley replied, winking at him. She was pleased to see that he was probably enjoying her presence as well, and that they would make the most of the rest of their time. Haley giggled softly as Charles planted a kiss on her hand and she was sure the blush had risen in her cheeks. Her soft giggle turned into a laugh as he spun her once. Her long, wavy hair flew through the wind with the momentum and her laughter echoed in the cold air. As she came back to standing she made a formal curtsy to give the little play a crowning glory.
She looked after Charles for a brief moment and then made her way in the other direction, back to the Gryffindor common room, her thoughts circling around the dark side and Charles Alluring.Haley has left the thread
