so anyways, we were doing open responses in science, where we could see other people's answers. It was what power would you edit into your genomes and why? So there is this kid is is correcting people for everylittle thing, like forgetting a period at the end of the sentence or putting two spaces between two words. So this was his answer:

I would like to edit the genomes of my body by allowing myself to breathe in the water just like a fish. I would then be able to go diving without any gear and be able to stay underwater as long as I wanted to. I could also save drowning people and my name would be Hydroguy.

So since he's a jerk to everyone, I replied:

As stated above, there is no animal or living thing that can stay underwater as long as they wanted. I would like to point out that you commented on another answer that THEIR chosen power was not something any animal had. Well if you think about your response, you will realize you made the very same mistake. That is, of course, if you didn't mean that you would like to infuse genes from the creepy parasite known as H. Salminicola. H. Salminicola is the cause of numerous diseases and as you once commented, "Not very superhero-like!" However, good luck with infusing a disease into your body and trying to convince others you are a good guy. And one more thing, there is something called Grammarly. It makes writing easier and checks for errors in our writing, such as grammar. then in the halls I heard someone say, "Do you know who Juniper Kelly is?" (except my actual name) and I paused and my face went pale. However I turned around to the kid and said "I know you weren't talking to me, but what do you want with her?"
"Do you know her?" He asked
"Let's say I do. What do you want?"
"Isn't she the girl that everyone keeps bullying for being adopted?"
At this I nearly punched him, but I nodded "Yeah. I am" i reply and he bursts out laughing. "I'm being corrected by a kid who was adopted" He exclaims and walks away. "And who are you?" I ask, and he goes "I think you know who I am. I love grammar, as you say" then he walked away.

I'm so sorry, love. People don't deserve to treat you that way. I'm also adopted, so I understand that much. Unfortunately, I've been subjected to uncomfortable comments in public about my skin color compared to the rest of my family's. Things happen for reasons we may never understand, but people shouldn't take advantage of your circumstance.
No matter what, I'll always stick up for you. Even though I've never seen your real face before, I will treat you as my closest friend, and I will be with you as you walk through fire. In other words, I've got your back.
Don't let the haters get to you, girl. You're so much better than them. And I mean SO much better.

I'm so sorry, that's terrible. Nobody deserves to be treated that way and nobody deserves to treat others that way. I'm really sorry you had to experience that.
