Art class…
The next day Gilmore got up and checked the door, sure enough, there were two boxes! She pulled them inside and opened them up, her skillet was one you plug into a wall, it was blue, and her Slow cooker was the same, plug-in and blue, they had been a set.
She started the recipe before going to class, when classes were done she would eat her dinner! Gilmore had decided to stay home while everyone else went to dinner, Arisha had promised to tell her if anything happened that was important, such as a speech or something, as long as she got some food, which Gilmore agreed to.
As she prepared for school Gilmore wondered about the other fruit shop, the one with the man, she had not yet told Arisha or Naku, (since Naku was not speaking to Gilmore still. Gilmore had been thinking of a way to get both Naku and Arisha to be friends with her at the same as each other, but so far any of her ideas needed the two girls to be in the same class/place at the same time. Her plan also needed Naku to talk to her.) about.
As she stepped up the stairs of the Main Cabin, Gilmore wondered what Art would be like, would it be fun? She opened the doors and stepped inside, she went into the portal room and met the woman,
“Hi, I have a class this fine morning, Art.” she showed the woman her timesheet and the woman opened the door and let her in, ‘Odd, she never spoke! She always talks to me!’ Gilmore thought as she stepped in the portal, as she stepped in she felt the whoosh and then the plunk, it was not really so hard anymore, she guessed that she was getting used to it.
As her sight came back to her she noticed that she was sitting on a bean bag chair, other students were sitting on bean bag chairs too, Gilmore smiled as she looked around, just then a woman walked in,
“Welcome class! As you might know I am Miss Vicky, your art teacher, but seeing a new face I shall repeat my name!”
Every eye turned to Gilmore, every eye turned to look at the new student, Gilmore squirmed a little, she was not used to being stared at, as she scanned the faces staring at her she seen on not looking at her, it was a girl and the girl was deliberately staring away from Gilmore, she knew who that girl was! The girl, Nakusa Mellform, glanced at Gilmore for a quick second,
Then she looked away, much to Gilmore’s sadness.
Miss Vicky handed out canvas, paint, paint brushes, water and paper towel. She then gave everyone a large paper plate,
“As you can see here, I have given you all a Canvas that measures 8”x10” you also all have Synthetic paint brushes, I gave you the basic brushes, the Angle Brush, there is 5 of these that I gave you, they are all different sizes, the smallest is three, then I gave you up to seven. The kind of brush you have is the Flat brush, there are 8 of these again starting at size three, they go up to size eight. The next kind is Fan brush, like the name sounds you will see that it fans out, I gave you one of these, it’s a size six.” when she noticed two girls giggling Miss Vicky sternly snapped at them to be quiet or move to another bean bag chair. “As I was saying before, Miss Yetger and Miss Teage interrupted me. The next brush is Round brush, I gave you 6 of these, they are all even number sizes. The next brush is the Line brush, or Rigger brush. I gave you two of these, a three and a one. The last one is the Filbert brush, it is a mix of the round and flat brushes.” Miss Vicky looked around, she looked at Gilmore and made eye contact, “Any questions?”
As the pretty woman looked around, a hand shot up, it was a small girl with blonde hair and green eyes, “Yes Miss Casey?”
“Well, Momma, how many sizes of brushes are there?” the little girl looked at Miss Vicky, who Gilmore now realized looked like a spitting image of the little girl,
“Now, Miss Casey, remember to call me Miss Vicky in Class!” Miss Vicky’s face had gone a slight red, and the pretty woman seemed to know, she smiled and decided to answer the child,
“Well, there are normally 24, sometimes there are more and sometimes less, it all depends on the brand.”
Another hand shot up, this time the band belonged to a boy, he had wavy black hair, and Hazel eyes.
“Yes Mr. Carlson?”
“Thanks Miss Vicky, umm, I umm…” the boy went quiet, “I umm I was wondering what the size 24 brush looks like?”
Miss Vicky smiled like a grade 7 when they were asked what 2 plus 2 is.
“Well, depending on the brand they are normally around 17 mm. A size 12, which is the largest that you will use this year, is about 7mm.”
The boy nodded and sat back in his bean bag chair, looking content.
Miss Vicky then pulled out a bag from behind her desk, “Ok Class, today we will be starting our outlines of our paintings!”
The class applauded, “As we talked about in our last class we will take one lesson on outlining our picture and then we will spend the next lesson learning Brush/Pencil strokes and how to use them on our paintings/drawings, and then you will all have a week to finish your art as homework, if the art is easy then I’ll give you a question booklet to fill out, and since you are just outlining today I will be giving you all a booklet!” Miss Vicky seemed to be the only one happy about this, the class all groaned.
Miss Vicky held the bag that she had been holding, “But now! We will find out what we will be painting!” she looked around at the class, “when I call your name come up and reach your hand into the bag, take out one piece of paper, read it and take the paper back with you, it will have a genre, artist or specific thing to paint, you might even get a famous piece of art to recreate! Just remember, art is never perfect! Add your own twists to your art, make it yours.” Miss Vicky then opened the bag, “Miss Forlen”
A Girl with Green eyes and black hair stepped up, she reached her hand in the bag and pulled out a small slip of paper, she read it out,
“A Starry night!” the girl said happily.
Miss Vicky called Out to her daughter, “Miss Casey!”
The child got up and reached her hand in, when she pulled her hand out and read her card and said “Leonardo da Vinci”
The girl made a pouty face and sat down, Gilmore wondered how old the child was, she did not act 13!
“Mr.Feket!”
A short plump boy with sandy blonde hair stood up and reached his hand in, when he pulled his card out he acted all giddy, “The creation of Adem! It’s my favorite piece of art!”
Once he had sat down again Miss Vicky called out for Miss Mellform, Naku got up and reached her hand in, when she took her card out her face fell, “a piece of your life” she whispered, softly.
Miss Vicky looked at her “Miss Mellform, please stay after class.”
Naku nodded and sat back down.
“Miss Rora”
A tall girl with brown hair and grey eyes stood up and reached her hand in, when she pulled her card out she smiled
“American Gothic! It's great!” she skipped back to her seat.
“Miss Pallno”
Gilmore was surprised to hear her name and stood up quickly, reaching her hand in the bag she felt the little points of the cards, she felt each card, until one called to her, she pulled it out and looked at it, her breath was taken away for a second, “Important spot to you.” she muttered, sitting down, she did not listen to the rest of the kids getting their cards, she was stuck thinking about an important spot to her, it was hard, once all the kids had their cards Miss Vicky told the class that their homework was to think about how they wanted to make the art they had gotten theirs whether they had been given a famous artist or famous work of art, or just a thing.
Once the class was announced to be done, the students rushed to head to the portal, Gilmore was just about to jump in the portal, when Miss Vicky called her back,
she looked back “But the portal will close soon!” she insisted, looking meekly as the last student jumped in, a few seconds later the shiny wall went back to a normal wallish colour.
Miss Vicky smiled kindly at Gilmore, “they will open it again, don’t worry.”
Naku had also stayed behind and was still staring off in the opposite direction of Gilmore, Gilmore wondered why she was also being held back.
Miss Vicky waved to two of the bean bag chairs,
“Please sit girls!” she said as she sat down in a bean bag chair across from the two she had pointed to, Gilmore sat down, and Naku sat down in the other one, she stared mutley at the wall, it was obvious that she was in no mood to talk to Gilmore, Miss Vicky seemed to notice as well, “Now Miss Mellform-”
“My name is Nakusa.” Naku said she had spoken softly the way One does if they are mad or pouting.
“Now Miss Mellform, I see that you are having a bit of a problem with Miss Pallno, but it seems that Miss Pallno does not have this problem with you, so I would like you to at least look at me, even if you are having your little… trouble with her.” Miss Vicky looked at Gilmore and smiled,
“I am sorry I kept you back Miss Pallno, it’s just that you missed out on the last class, and I figured you might want to learn the last one, I already talked to the headmaster and we sorted it out so that you don’t miss any other class!”
Gilmore nodded “great, umm while you deal with Naku can I do my homework over here? I have a lot to do in a little amount of time.” she said, looking down at the booklet that she had been given at the end of class.
Miss Vicky laughed and nodded, “Please sit in a bean bag though, they are very nice!”
Gilmore nodded and pulled out a pen, she opened her booklet and read the first question;
What is the smallest size brush?
Gilmore thought for a while then decided that it would make sense to be one.
The smallest size is One.
She wrote, the next question was easy too,
What is the largest size brush?
Easy! 24!
The largest size brush is size 24.
The next ones got harder,
What are the different kinds of paint brushes?
This Gilmore did not know, she guessed that there was more than one, there had to be!
There are a lot of kinds, including Synthetic brushes, which we are using.
The next question was hard for Gilmore, mainly because she was not that into art.
What is your favorite piece of art, or artist?
I like all art equally, they are all great in their own ways!
She hoped this would be an ok anwser.
As she worked though the questions, Gilmore noticed that Naku and Miss Vicky kept looking over at her, she hoped that Naku would stop and talk to her.
Once she finished her booklet Naku and Miss Vicky were still talking to each other.
Unsure what to do Gilmore started to do her homework for Building class.
The booklet was small and simple, all stuff that they had talked about in class together.
As time passed Gilmore finished her homework, she sat and listened to what Naku and Miss Vicky talked about, they talked about many different things, mainly about how Naku was behind, and how she needed to step up her game, even if this was just outside of her skill.
Gilmore sat for a while thinking about random things, such as her food cooking, what would it look like? Would she pass her grades? When would Jorgina and Violet stop fighting? Ever?
After half the day had been waisted waiting Miss Vicky called Gilmore over, she made Naku sit her bean bag chair beside Gilmore’s bean bag chair,
“Now Girls, I need to get the stuff for Miss Pallno’s lesson, please talk while I’m gone!”
Naku reluctantly nodded, Gilmore took hold of the chance,
“Naku-”
“It’s Nakusa.” Naku interrupted glaring at Gilmore.
“Sorry, Naku-sa, why are you not talking to me? I really miss you!”
Naku glared at Gilmore, “No you don’t you have Arisha to talk to!” Naku’s voice was mocking, but below that Gilmore could hear hurt, Naku was hurt!
“But Naku-sa! I do miss you. Arisha is my friend too, but I am only friends with her because… Because she is in my Cabin. That’s all!”
Naku glared at Gilmore, then her glare softened, she was not mad anymore, but her face only reflected a tired look, as if the girl was giving up.
Please, Naku, talk to me again!”Gilmore urged, Naku looked at Gilmore, she smiled softly and said, “Do you think it’s that easy? It’s easier to walk away than come back.”
Gilmore was confused but nodded, “I know, but please try! I’ve made a Jackfruit thing! You're welcome to try it with me tonight!”
Naku looked like she wanted to, she really did, but she shook her head,
“I’m sorry, but Arisha will be mad if I come over, I’ll just go to dinner.”
“No! Arisha is going to the dinner, she will come back after, but please! Let me explain!”
Naku looked at Gilmore, I’m sorry but I don’t have time. I am buried in homework, I’ll see you at Acting Class tomorrow.”

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
Being seen on stage
Gilmore’s lesson with Miss Vicky had taken up the whole day, they had gone over so much that Gilmore had felt that her brain would explode! Naku had been excused from the class soon after Miss Vicky had come back, Gilmore now knew that Mr.Anjo had been telling the truth, he was not hired for building relationships! Miss Vicky was!
Now Gilmore was walking towards the Main cabin, but today she would not be using the portal, no she was heading to her first class of Acting, she had no idea what would happen in this class, she didn't know whether she would be doing little skits or larger plays but she did not really care, what mattered was that she was going to class with Naku!
“Last night you really missed out, the Mackfruit was so good tasting! I ate so much that my belly hurt afterwards!”
Naku laughed, “your spoiled rotten Gil!”
Gilmore looked over at Naku, her friend had called her Gil! To anyone else this would have not mattered, but to Gilmore it mattered
Gilmore walked into the Hall that she had never been in, it was like the other hall that led to the Portal but this time it led to many other doors, each had a plaque with a name on it and a class.
When they had walked for what felt like hours, but had only been 10 minutes, they came to a door, it was red and the plaque read, ‘Mrs. Natraj-Acting’
Gilmore looked at Naku,
“Are you sure that this is the room?”
Naku only laughed and pushed open the door, they were early.
A Woman with curly brown hair was standing in the middle of the room, she was wearing a green and yellow plaid dress, Gilmore did not think that this lady looked like she was from their time period, she giggled and whispered to Naku, “Look, she came back from the 40’s!”
Naku giggled a little.
The woman turned around and smiled, she had red lipstick on, and she had a 40’s style hat in her hands. “Hello girls! How are you today?”
“Good, Mrs-?” Gilmore said her voice dying out as she realized that she did not know how to say the teacher’s name. The woman laughed and said “Natraj, say it like Nat-Urg-I”
Gilmore nodded “I am doing Good Mrs.Natraj.”
The woman smiled and waved towards some seats, “please sit down, I’ll be giving out some scripts for our play.”
Gilmore sat down and Naku sat beside her, “I wonder what the play is?” she whispered in Gilmore’s ear.
More students filed in and sat down, all got the same greeting from the 40’s dressed teacher.
Gilmore and Naku watched as Mrs.Natraj pulled out a chest, “As you can see class, this is my wardrobe of past acting classes, none of you have taken my classes yet, so you would not know how they work!” Mrs.Natraj clapped her hands together and smiled, any student who was not paying attention now was from the woman’s clapping!
“Now, we are going to go through the past costumes and see if we get any ideas from them for our play this year, and if we can reuse any of the costumes from the past!”
Three hands shot into the air, Mrs.Natraj seemed thrilled at questions and pointed towards the girl who had put up her hand first, “Yes miss Cooper?”
The girl smiled and started to talk very very slowly, “So… Mrs… Natraj… we… don’t...have… a… play… plan?”
The teacher shook her head, “No, as I said before y’all have never been to my classes, here I don’t just give you lines to memorize and recite on time with other students, In costumes. No to me that's not how you act in a play, to act in a play the actor should help write the play, they should make it so that they like how it sounds, how the words flow; the words should have meaning, not only to the people to listening to the play, but the people acting in the play.”
Two hands were still raised, Mrs.Natraj pointed to the boy with a mop of sandy hair that stuck out in every direction.
“Hello Mrs.Natraj, Umm, I’m wondering, do we have to act in this play? Can we do costumes or backdrops instead?” He looked like he had just gotten out of bed. Gilmore guessed that he was the kind of child who never had touched his hair in his life.
“No Axel, If your skill is Acting, which for most of you it is, then you will know that your other classes, Art, Sewing, Building, and Writing and Speaking speeches. Are all mandatory, because in Building you will build the prompts, in Art you will paint them, in Sewing you will sew the costumes, in Writing and Speaking Speeches, you will learn to speak with emotion loudly and clearly.” Mrs.Natraj looked at the boy whose name was Axel, “Is that what you meant?”
The boy looked confused, “You could have just said ‘no’”
There were now two more hands up, one from before and two that had just been raised, Mrs.Natraj smiled and pointed to a girl with a bow yellow bow in her hair,
“Hello, umm my question is, why are you wearing an outfit from 300 years ago?”
The woman laughed and smiled at the girl, “this my dear is not from 300 years ago, it’s from the ’40s during the war this was the style for women to wear.”
The girl raised her hand again, Mrs.Natraj went on to the other two students, their questions both led to a long speech about this and that.
“Yammer yap yap!” Naku muttered to Gilmore, She snickered; but Gilmore stayed quiet, she did not agree she enjoyed it, she enjoyed the fact that she could learn things this way, she liked the yammering.
Mrs.Natraj clapped her hands, Gilmore was beginning to think that Mrs.Natraj had a bad habit of clapping, clapping a lot!
“Well Class! Your homework is to think up a play, something that is not too long but not too short either. We will have classes talking about different plays and such, we will look at famous and not so famous plays, we will look at their lives and such!” she looked at her class with a big toothy smile, “everyone understand? If you have any questions please stay back and talk to me, otherwise, Class Dismissed!” she shouted, Naku stood up almost knocking her chair over, she looked at Gilmore who was still sitting on her chair,
“Are you coming with me Gilmore?” she asked looking at Gilmore, Gilmore shook her head,
“No, I need to ask a question, please wait for me.”
“Fine, nut I’ll wait outside.” Naku turned on her her heal and left, Gilmore was the only one who had stayed back, Mrs.Matraj looked at her,
“How can I help you?”
“I’m sorry to take up your time, but… I am in almost every class, because I don’t know my skill, so I might not be able to think of a Play idea, is that ok? I’ll try but there is no guarantee.”
Mrs.Natraj smiled and nodded, “I understand, if you can please do, but if you can’t then that's ok too.”
Gilmore nodded “Thanks.”
Getting up she left the classroom, Naku was waiting,
“C’mon we’re going to be late!” Naku said, rushing forward as soon as Gilmore opened the door.
“I know, c’mon let's get moving!”

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
A farmer’s life for me.
Gilmore landed with a thud, she scooted out of the way of the next student to land, she knew that Jorgina would be at this class, it was Farming.
She stood up and looked around, she was sitting in the same spot as last time, Mrs. Morrow stood holding a pitchfork, she wore the same outfit as last time, Dirty blue shirt and black pants.
Mrs. Morrow stood there, looking at each child as they came in, and wrote on her paper sheet that was sitting on the pitchfork, She waved at every student who looked at her,
“Hello class, I think you all are here, if not then the late students can figure it out on their own!
So as I told you last lesson, you will all have little farms of your own, oir lessons will become once a week, and we will be checking in on everyone's progress, these classes will be your chance to ask any questions that might pop up, such as how much to feed your pregnant goat or whatever. We will have tips and tricks as well as lessons about your animals.
Well, today, we have to get our land! So you all have Some land, Four acres, if you need to expand you can buy more later. You will be partnering with the Building class to Make the buildings you need for your storage, but for now you all have the bare minimum to keep your animals alive and happy, I will be checking on your animals at random times, on random days, if I see anything that is unsafe or mean to your animal I will take the animal away until the problem is fixed, understand?”
The class nodded and let out a loud “Yes Ma’am”
Mrs. Morrow seemed happy with this and started to walk around, handing each student a small booklet,
“These booklets have the basic facts to get you started, such as how much to feed your Goat, or what to give your cow with Mastitis.”
Gilmore thanked Mrs. Morrow when she handed her the booklet, as she flipped through the booklet she saw tons of facts, it was like a cheat sheet that they gave out at her old school before a test.
Gilmore pocketed her booklet and listened to what Mrs. Morrow said,
“Ok, so I will be taking each of you to your land, I will also be giving you 3200 mintables, this will be your Farm Money, you will spend this on things such as extra feed for your animals, seed to plant, and so on, this means that what you grow and harvest, such as wheat or soy, you can sell, or get ground down, the money you get back will be paid to you in Mintables, If you run out you have to report to me, I will give you a ‘loan’ and then you can get back up and running, But you will have you have to pay me back, at the end of the year if you have any mintables left then they will be given to you in your respected kind of money, or you can save it for next year.”
Gilmore nodded, she understood this and liked that idea.
Mrs. Morrow then told every student to step back into the portal, once they got there they were to give the portal manager their code she would open a new portal and they would arrive at their new farm, which they been just told that three hundred thirty six of their Mintables had been taken out of their given Mintables.
Gilmore stepped into the portal and felt to normal feeling of whooshing around, and then landing, she moved aside quickly and waited to be let into her portal, but now she also had to wait till the other students from other classes went to their classes, this was what made Gilmore feel like she was a bad person, the fact that she did not want to wait, she wished she was the only person in the world, she wished she was able to get push to the front of the line and then get to her new plot of land, was she really bad though?
Gilmore finally got to the front, she felt like dancing, she was going to get to see her new land!
She showed her code to the portal manager who opened the new portal,
“Enjoy!” she said smiling as Gilmore jumped in, she barely noticed the whooshing feeling, she did not even realize that she was dizzy, when she landed she rubbed her eyes so that she could see faster, when she opened them her heart fell, her land, the land that she would be working was mud and grass, there was two sheds, and some fencing, she walked up to the first pen, inside was a few chickens, they were covered in brown feathers, they only had a small shelter, she would have to make a coop for them!
The next pen had Three goats, One of the goats was a chocolate colour with beige eyebrows, the second goat was a silver/gray colour, and the third and last goat was brown and white, they were all Does, or females.
Gilmore noticed how nice the goats’ pen was, they would not need it to be fixed just yet, they could be dealt with after the chicken coop was built.
The next pen was larger, it had the four cows in it, Well, more like three and a half cows!
There were two cows that were brown, and then there was a black cow and calf, all four bovines were females.
They had a rather nice pen too, lots of grass and a good sturdy building, but the building would need to be winter proofed.
Gilmore looked over beside the cattle paddock and seen a paddock the same size, in this paddock was a pair of huge horses, Both were black with long flowy manes and tails, one had a star on her head, the other a snip on his, one was a gelding and the other a mare.
Their paddock seemed to be in the best condition; it had a small barn with six stalls inside and a hay loft.
The grass was green and the fences were all white washed, Gilmore figured that the horses’ paddock could be fixed along with the goats’ paddock.
Next Gilmore found a small pen with Quail and Rabbits in it, puzzled Gilmore walked around the cage, confused at why Bunnie had been added to her little farm.
Just then a shimmering silvery thing opened up about thirty feet from Gilmore, Mrs.Morrow stepped out of it, she had a lot more grace when using portals then Gilmore did!
Mrs. Morrow looked at Gilmore and laughed,
“Oh Miss Pallno! You have no idea how funny you are!”
Gilmore cocked her head sideways like a puppy begging for food. “I don’t understand Ma’am.” Gilmore said, looking at the stocky woman as she laughed. “Oh Miss Pallno! You see I gave you all these animals as a starter, like everyone else I gave you a group of rabbits, they are Angoras, you use them for fur, their fur sells for a pretty penny too!”
Gilmore did not find being laughed at ‘funny’ she found it hurtful, she looked at Mrs. Morrow with a hurt look, “I don’t find that very funny! You laughed at my mistakes!” she spat out, glaring at the woman, Mrs. Morrow frowned, “Did I hurt your feelings?” she had asked it like Gilmore was a baby, in that annoying baby talk parents use with their little one year olds.
Gilmore cringed, “do I look hurt? Do I sound like I need baby talking? NO! Do I need to spell that for you? I gladly will! N. O. Period.” Gilmore turned and walked back to her barn, she walked inside and was met by the smell of hay and grain, and the lovely smell of horse.
Gilmore oddly found this calming, to be able to smell the horses might make some people crinkle their nose up and leave, but Gilmore was different, she enjoyed it.
Looking around she realized that there was nothing in the barn, only one bale of hay and straw, a sack of grain and nothing else.
Gilmore decided to look around this little barn; it had a room that she had yet to look inside.
It’s door was wooden and had a shape of a horse’s head cut out and filled with glass to make a window, below it had a small sign that read:
Tack/Feed Room.
Gilmore opened the door and looked around, the place was barren, it had some shelves that were empty. it had racks that were empty, it had containers marked ‘goat feed’ ‘Chicken feed’ ‘cattle feed’ ‘horse grain’
And then there were some buckets, Gilmore only then realized, she had to buy all the food and bedding and supplies for her farm.
She stepped out of the Tack Room and pulled out a sheet of paper, she started to write down what she knew she needed;
Feed and water buckets.
Pitchfork.
Wheelbarrow.
Wood shavings.
Hay.
Horse Grain.
Cattle grain.
Goat grain.
Chicken feed.
Rabbit feed.
Oats.
She figured that that was what she needed right away, at least for the animals anyway.
She still needed to get stuff to start planting, she pulled out her booklet, and turned to the gardening section. The first section was on choosing what crops were best for you as the farmer. It said that for small starter farms Saffron, makes you tons of money an acre grows a pound of this herb, the book said. Gilmore shook her head She only planned on growing two acres of her land.
Garlic, this would not work either, it was too hot here for garlic!
Lettuce, now that was something she could plant! The book said that they were cheap to buy and easy to grow and sold quite fast.
Smiling, she wrote that on her list.
Ask Gilmore worked through that section of the book she found a few good things to plant
Such as cabbage, Kale, carrots, corn, beans and squash, pumpkins, and also she planned on growing some ground cherries, after writing her list Gilmore left the barn she had her list of what she needed now she needed to buy it all!

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
Shopping again.
Gilmore walked down the road that led to ‘Connie’s corner’ . It had been given that name by Naku a while ago, and Gilmore had only just learned about it!
Jorgina had agreed to come along because she also needed some things, but Gilmore was now wishing that Jorgina had gone on her own.
“I just can’t understand her! She is always yelling!” Jorgina said indignantly while flicking her hair in a way that made her look like she was some spoiled brat from those Disney shows that Gilmore.s little sister loved to watch.
Gilmore snickered at the thought, Jorgina noticed Gilmore snickering and rounded on her,
“What are you laughing ‘bout!’’ she demanded glaring at Gilmore.
Gilmore stammered, “I, I was laughing because there was a bug in the air when you flicked your hair, and you hit the bug with your hair” Gilmore had not thought that Jorgina would react the way she did, she shrieked loudly and ran, she ran forward as such a speed that her feet were a blur, she kept screaming and yelling for Gilmore to ‘get it off’ but Gilmore was laughing too hard to tell her the bug, that had never been there, was gone. Jorgina ran away from Gilmore and into a shop, the wrong shop, but a shop nonetheless!
Gilmore decided not to follow the still screaming Jorgina and instead enter ‘Farm tools and supply’
The store that sold everything a student would need at a pretty good price, or so Gilmore had been told. She opened the door and the smell of rubber hit her face, gagging she stepped inside, stepping up to the counter she handed her list to the man behind the counter, “I need these thighs can you get ‘em for me? I’ll wait outside!” she managed to push out as she stepped away and out of the store, once out of the store she took three big gasps of air, the smell of the store took her breath away, it was like the smell of a new car then that of rubber.
She took another breath feeling the cool air enter her mouth and seeped down her throat into her lungs, it made her think of the meditation she had done with Miss Kay and the rest of the class.
The door opened and a young boy stepped out, he had dusty blonde hair and ice blue eyes, he smiled at Gilmore and handed her a small slip of paper,
“We need your name and Mintables code.” be said, his voice was soft and small, Gilmore only then realized that the boy could not have even been 13 years old yet, he was so small! She smiled at him and he smiled back, “My name’s Carwyn by the way.” he said, holding his hand out to Gilmore, She smiled,
“I’m Gilmore.” she said handing him back the sheet, he smiled and stepped back inside, a few moments later Carwyn returned with the loads of things,
“We added some things that you’ll need that were not on the list.” he said, “want us to ship this to your farm for you?”
Gilmore nodded “yes please, how much did it all cost?”
Carwyn smiled ruefully, “It cost Six hundred and forty five Mintables, including seeds to plant and make you money.”
Gilmore frowned, Six Hundred forty five mintables was a lot, she would need to be careful with everything!
She looked at Carwyn, “That’s a lot.”
He nodded, “the farm class is rather messed up, almost every students goes into ‘debt’”
Gilmore frowned, “that’s the point I bet, to make money.” she sighed “I’ll prove them wrong, I won’t go into debt. Just watch me.”
Now Carwyn sighed “everyone says that, they all say that, but everyone fails, everyone ends up selling their animals to get out of debt. They learn nothing other than that farming means debt, but I think their wrong, Farming can be good.”
Gilmore smiled, Carwyn seemed smart, “How old are you Carwyn?”
The boy smiled,”I’m ten, in three years I start school, until then I’m going to have to work here. My dad owns this place, and one day I will too.” he seemed proud to be able to say that he would own the store one day, but all Gilmore could think was that the poor boy would never live until he was older, his lungs would be filled with That horrible smell which had to do something bad to your body!
“What is that smell in there anyways?” she asked, pointing inside.
“Oh Ha! It’s this spray to rid the store of the pesky little Popcurnners.” he said
“Umm what on earth is a Popcurnner?” Gilmore asked, thinking that it was some kind of popcornish animal.
“A Popcurnner is a small animal, it was made by breeding Elf Kind with Mice kind, the mouse has to be the male, and the Elf must be female, other way around and you get a dead mouse.
But these Popcurnners are small, only about a foot tall, they love popcorn and are rather bratty.”
“So you spray your store to kill them?”
“No!” Carwyn laughed, “No! We spray the store with a smell that is that of new rubber at first, but if smelled for too long can also smell like a car that has just been bought, it’s detested by Elven and Mouse kind alike, making Popcurnners dislike it, it often gives Elves a feeling of not being able to breath, just a few breaths and-”
“Carwyn! Stop your yappin’ and get in here we got a woman waitin’!” a Man with an unshaven face called out, Carwyn looked at Gilmore, “Sorry, Jeb is calling, I better go.” Carwyn turned and left, leaving Gilmore standing out on the grass alone, wondering why they did that, how could they stand it? Gilmore had no classes for the next while, she had the rest of the day as free time, most classes had Homework, But Gilmore had none, she decided to Go back to her farm and work on it.

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
One bag at a time.
Gilmore had had to wait two hours to get into the portal to her farm, in that time many other students had also gone to their farms, many of them Holding a bag of grain or a bale of hay.
Gilmore waited till she was at the front, and when she finally made it there she told the portal manager, this time a fat man, that she wanted to go to Gilmore Pallno’s farm, he sighed and pushed the new button leading to her farm,
“What time will you be done?” he asked, sounding super bored, Gilmore looked down at her watch, “Give me till 7.” she said, hoping that would be long enough, She stepped into the portal, the room disappeared and she landed in The field beside the goats again.
She walked towards the barn and there just inside the barn was a huge pile of things! Grain bags, hay and straw bales, wood shavings, A wheelbarrow and a pitchfork, seeds, Everything that she had ordered and more too, there were things that Gilmore had not thought of.
She decided to move the grain first, it would be easier than the hay and straw that she would need to move up to the loft.
Taking one bag she lifted it up, it was heavy, her legs wobbled under the weight of the sack.
Taking a step slowly, she moved forward, after a while she made it to to Tack room where she would be storing the grain, she opened the bag and poured the grain into one container, She took the empty sack and flattened it, laying in on the floor out of the way, she took another sack and redid what she had done with the last one, after a while she had filled all the containers and still had six bags of feed to store, she took them into the tack room and closed the door.
The next job was to bed up the horses stalls and give them feed and water according to the little booklet.
Gilmore took some wood shavings and sprinkled them in two stalls, then she took four flakes of Straw and spread them along the bottom of each stall, this would make the horses happy.
Then following what the book said, she took two flakes of hay into each stall and placed them in Hay Nets, then she went into the tack room and made the grain, by adding some Beet pulp and Equalizer and Salt and other feeds to two dishes, then she added water and put that in the horses’ stalls. The next step was to make a bed for the goats. The book said that a stall would work great. So, taking some straw Gilmore bedded up a third stall, then put a Flake of hay inside and made three dishes of goat feed for the goats. She then took some hay outside to the cattle, throwing it over the fence so they could eat.
Now it was time to move the hay and straw, there were 20 bales of each, after all that was all Gilmore could store at a time in such a small barn!
It was getting late by the time Gilmore had Gotten most of the bales into the loft, she had left six down, three straw and three hay.
The last thing Gilmore intended to do that night was bring the Goats and horses in, She grabbed a lead rope that had been hanging in the tack room, and headed out to the horse paddock, the mare, was closer so Gilmore went for her first, but the mare had other plans, she looked at Gilmore and whinnied, tossing her head about she trotted to the other end of the paddock, sighing Gilmore decided to get the Gelding instead, he was grazings calmly, his tail swinging lazaly back and forth.
Gilmore slowly walked up to him and patted his side, he was much bigger than her, she could not see over his back, He lifted his head to look at her, she softly petted his velvet nose.
“Good boy.” she said softly, clipping the lead rope onto his halter she led him towards the barn, as she walked she noticed that the horse never pulled or stopped walking he was trained well.
She took him into the closer stall and let him off the lead rope, and he started to eat.
Gilmore then went out for the second horse, she really hoped the Mare would be good!
When she got out there she noticed that the Mare was now grazing by the gate, Gilmore wondered if the horse was feeling alone.
The Mare proved herself to be a pain, running back and forth, even if Gilmore could run fast she would never be able to keep up with the mare, Gilmore Finally got a hold of the mare, who surprisingly stopped as soon as she was clasped onto the lead rope, Gilmore decided to call the mare Spark and the gelding Blaze.
When Spark was put into her stall Gilmore set out to get the goats, they were better and walked behind her like a dog would! Once in their stalls Gilmore fed the cows rabbits, Chickens and quails. It was now 6:58, the portal would be opening soon.
She wandered around checking on everything while she waited, and after two minutes the portal opened, stepping into it Gilmore felt the whooshing and then landed in the portal room, it was empty save the portal manager, who was sleeping in the corner after a long day of sitting and pushing buttons, Gilmore shook her head in sadness, so e people were way to lazy she decided.

Extras
Gilmore had now been at school for two weeks, nothing much had happened, she had gone to her farm every day, she had attended Art, Farming, Building, Acting, Mediation, and all her other classes, she had finished her first painting of the place that makes her happy, she had painted her farm.
She had started a new painting for her homework. This one was harder, it was a person wearing a flowing gown.
Gilmore had even started new classes like Dance class, boring and even worse because Violet was in it, Baking which Gilmore loved, and many others.
Gilmore was getting good grades and her friendship with Naku and Arisha was still going strong, but there was one thing that worried Gilmore; Enoch had been putting off her classes with him, she had not seen him for Days now.
Everyday she had gotten a letter from him saying that he was putting it off for a day, and then he would have some excuse, ‘not feeling well.’ ‘Busy with Aldo’ ‘tired out’ ‘got paperwork’ Oddly Gilmore was saddened by this, she only now realized that she enjoyed his company. Not having classes with him seemed like she had done something wrong, like she had made him mad somehow.
This haunted Gilmore for days, she had worried herself sick; but now she had no time to ask him, today was saturday, and she was going to sign up for some extras, whatever they had would be great, she needed something to do at the end of the day, something to keep her mind off of Enoch and his classes, she walked up to the Main Cabin, it’s doors had big yellow posters on them, they read;
‘EXTRA CURRICULAR, SIGN UP INSIDE, FREE.’
Gilmore snorted, like they really needed to put two posters up instead of a really big poster that you could see for miles?
Walking inside Gilmore was met by a small girl with a pink dress on that poofed out, making her look twice as fat as she was.
“Hewo! My name is Karabewa, I am Six!” she said, holding up 7 fingers. Gilmore laughed,
“Hello Klarabella, I think you mean to hold up six fingers like this,” she bent down and pushed one of the tiny girl’s fingers down, “that would be Six.”
Klarabella smiled and waved around her hands, which were still showing six fingers,
“What are you doing here Klarabella? You're only six, so why are you here at the school?”
“I ‘ive here.” she said, putting her fingers down and looking at her dress she started to spin and make her dress spin, looking really pretty.
Gilmore stepped around the little child and headed down the hall when she entered the little room where she could sign up for things, there was a table for each thing, Gilmore went to the closest table, the paper read ‘Plowing, Learn to Plow! A fast and great way to get your field ready!’
Shrugging she signed up, at the next table there was Cooking and Baking, smiling as she signed up, she moved on to the next table, Cattle showing, the next table, goat showing.
Every table had something cool and every table Gilmore signed up for. When she left the room Gilmore did not know it but she had signed up to spend a lot of money!
At each table a person had given her a booklet of things they would need, such as a goat for Goat showing, and a Cow for Cattle Showing.
She sighed and walked back to her cabin, wondering about things, such as why Klarabella at only Six was running around the Main Cabin, where students were wandering around, where there was a portal that if the small child stepped into could take her anywhere in the world, that was when Gilmore realized she needed to make sure the child was ok, turning around she rushed back into the Main Cabin, only to find a frantic woman running around yelling for Klarabella; the woman had long shiny brown hair that was pulled into a pony at the top of her head, she had a pretty dress on and her make up was done up nice too.
Gilmore went up to the frantic woman, “Can I help you? I just saw Klarabella.”
The woman stopped, looked at Gilmore as if it was some joke,
“don’t tease me! I must hurry, I’ll be late for the dance!” She said with an air of arrogance.
Gilmore rolled her eyes, “Was the child Six, but when she holds up her fingers to show her age she holds up seven, right?”
“Doesn't every six year old do that?”
“Urg, was she wearing a pink dress that made her look twice as big as she is?”
The woman rolled her eyes, “Every young child wears pink princess dresses, I bet you did too!”
Gilmore tried to remember if she did, and not thinking so she decided not, “Nope, I’m not so Princess-y”
The woman sighed and started to call out for Klarabella, if the child was somewhere around Gilmore guessed that she was hiding, and if Klarabella was anything like her own little sister, Gilmore new just how to find her,
“Ok Klarabella, I’m going to count to ten! You hide, I'm going to try to find you ok?” she called out, ignoring the glare from the woman. Gilmore pretended to close her eyes, but she did not close them fully, she left them open a smidgen, she started to count, and then heard a giggle, Scanning around with her ‘closed’ eyes she noticed that the sound was coming from behind a pile of tables, That had blankets draped over them, a perfect spot for a small child to want to hide in!
“.... eight, Nine...Ten! Ready or not, here I come!” Gilmore called out, heading straight to the pile of tables and blankets, why the woman had not checked here already Gilmore could not understand, lifting up the blankets Gilmore seen her prize, the small child was sitting there looking wide eyed ip at Gilmore,
“Shhh! Miss Bem will find me!” she said softly, Gilmore smiled,
“Miss Bem has given up, she is waiting for you, you won the game!”
Gne small child stood up and hugged Gilmore,
“Great!” she said
Gilmore lifted the blanket up higher so she could stand up and picked up Klarabella, the child held on tight, making Gilmore have the same feeling that she had in the farm supply store.
She walked into the middle of the space and called out,
“I’ve got her!”
The woman, Miss Bem, came running over and took Klarabella out of Gilmore’s arms,
“You naughty child! How can I ever punish you enough, Bad bad bad bad girl!”
Gilmore sighed, “Miss Bem, You should really know that it was not the child's fault. It is rarely ever the child’s fault and more often it’s the fault of the parent or guardian not watching the child.”
Miss Bem looked at Gilmore, “What did you just say child?!”
Gilmore rolled her eyes, “Never mind, I’m not about to waste my breath on people who won’t listen.”
With this Gilmore turned and started for the door again.
“Wait!” Miss Bem called out, Gilmore stopped but made no movement to turn around, she just looked at the door, “What?”
“Child, how did you know about Klarabella?”
Gilmore sighed, “I have a little sister, and a brother too, they like to hide, just turn things into a game and they forget about hiding. Also, I just thought like a six year old.”
Miss Bem shuffled her feet, or maybe it was Klarabella, Gilmore was not sure; but she made no move to look.
“Listen Miss Bem, I’m only 13 and I know that children are crazy good at hiding and running off, I am no expert, but maybe you should hire a Nanny or something, someone to watch your kid, whom I would guess is not yours as she addresses you as Miss Bem.”
With this Miss Bem coughed. “I’m sorry Child, but are you telling me I’m not doing a good job for this child who is in my care at the moment?”
Gilmore laughed, “Well losing your child is a great way to prove me right.”
“Well then child, let's see if you can do any better then!”
At this Gilmore DID turn around, and she looked at Miss Bem right in the eyes,
“How do you think you can make me?”
“I’m not going to, but I know you will. I’ll hire you to watch Klarabella on weekends. And in return I pay you, whatever kind of money you want at the time of paying whether that is Mintables or other kinds of money, I don’t care.” she said, looking at Klarabella.
Gilmore thought for a moment, “which weekends?”
Miss Bem smirked, “You're thinking about it!”
Gilmore rolled her eyes, “I’m not thinking about your ‘bet’ I’m thinking about making some money.”
Miss Bem Smiled, “As many as you can, I would love every weekend, but you have a life so I’ll just let you know before I need you.”
Gilmore nodded, “we’ve got a deal.”
Miss Bem smiled and handed Gilmore a piece of paper,
“That’s the address of the Place where Klarabella and I are living.”
Gilmore took the paper and shoved it in her pocket,
“When do you need the first day?”
Miss Bem thought for a moment, it looked like fake thinking but Gilmore did not care much.
“I think tonight would be a good idea.”
Gilmore sighed, she had had plans, she had been hoping to buy all the stuff for her Extracurriculars she had just signed up for, but making some money would be nice too.
“Fine, what time.”
“Ten o’clock tonight, That is when Klarabella will be coming back from the party, and that's when I’ll need you to watch her, she should be in bed by 11:30 at the latest.”
Gilmore shook her head, a six year old should be in bed way earlier, 10 o’clock was late enough!
But instead of saying what she was thinking she just nodded “See you then.”
Miss Bem nodded and Gilmore left the Main Cabin, wondering if she had made the right choice or not.

babysitter
Gilmore pulled on her coat and boots, she grabbed a book and trudged outside, It was dark out, what could you expect? It was 9:45 at night! Tonight was the first night of babysitting. Gilmore had been told to come at ten o’clock, so she had left 15 minutes early, to give herself some time.
As she walked the well trodden path up to the Main Cabin she reached her hand into her pocket, and felt around for it, all she felt was the mail she had yet to open.
Pulling out her pockets she shined her flashlight at the overturned pocket to see,
“Shoot!” she muttered, She had not even looked at the paper yet! Well there was no time to turn around! She decided to walk on and ask people for help while she went.
When Gilmore reached The Main Cabin she was already tired. How was she going to stay up till Miss Bem got back?
It turned out that finding The place where Klarabella lived was harder than Gilmore had thought it would be. Anyone who was up at such a late hour who was willing to talk to Gilmore, which was a low number to start with, knew nothing of a Klarabella and a Miss Bem.
Gilmore was getting worried, why did no one know who the child and woman was?
What was even harder was the fact that Curfew was at 9:00 o’clock, meaning that Gilmore had to tell everyone who asked that she was trying to find a place where she was supposed to be babysitting; even harder to explain, she was supposed to be babysitting a Six year old child named Klarabella, who no one seems to know.
Finally the Portal manager, this time the pot bellied man, was standing guard and he seemed to know just as much info about Klarabella and Miss Bem as everyone else, but he had one advantage upon the others Gilmore had asked, he knew about all the places, such as the fact that there was a nursery, And that Klarabella might live there, he offered to open a portal there but Gilmore just decided that it would be better if she walked.
The Nursery was in the Main Cabin, and as a matter of a fact it was just down THIS hall!
Gilmore walked down the hall, she had never gone this far, having never needed too.
After quite some walking she found a door that had ABCs all over it, Opening it she found stairs, going up these stairs she went up these stairs and found yet another door, this one was blue and was locked, Gilmore pounded on it, nothing.
“Hello! Anyone here?”
Nothing.
The results she was getting were nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing!
She rolled her eyes and knocked again, this time an old woman opened the door slightly,
“What do you want?” she asked sounding annoyed
“Hello Ma’am, I’m Gilmore Pallno, looking for Klarabella?”
The woman rolled her eyes,”there are ten Klarabellas which one?”
“Umm, the one with Miss Bem.”
“Look Kid, Miss Bem is looking after all the kids, she is one of the main nannies here.”
“Oh well she went to a party with Klarabella.”
The woman rolled her eyes again, making Gilmore think that was all the woman knew how to do.
“Look kid, your lies are really bad, come back later when you can lie better.” with that she shut the door.
Leaving Gilmore to stand staring at the door that had been shut in her face.
She stood there for a few moments wondering what to do, Klarabella would come back, if this was indeed the right spot, and look for the girl who was supposed to babysit her, wonder where she was and then maybe get hurt, but why did MissBsm ask Gilmore to watch the child if she was a nanny?
This made no sense to Gilmore, but she was so young what did she really know?
Then she fell asleep ,leaning on the door of the Nursery
(wc 677)

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
Bright lights and broken arms.
Gilmore had fallen asleep in the staircase of the nursery, she had not even walked down the stairs she had just fallen asleep, thinking about random things, why had Miss Bem asked her to babysit? That had been her last thought before falling asleep.
Oddly she had not fallen down the stairs, well maybe she had and was not bruised, but when Gilmore opened her eyes she was blinded by a bright light, it was way to white to be the sun, the sun had a yellowish ray to it, this was pure white.
She tried to sit up to look around but was pushed back down,
“Sit still Child!” a gruff voice said, sounding like it was in a huff
“How can I sit still if I’m not sitting?” Gilmore asked, feeling like she just wanted to be cheeky.
“Shut your face up and lay still, I’m trying to help you.” the voice said again, Gilmore felt something cold touch her side and she jumped, wincing, ok maybe she was hurt.
“I told you to sit still.” the voice said, sounding like they had just won a test or something.
“Well...Dear thing touching me with a cold thing, I find it hard to sit still when I’m not being told what is about to happen!” Gilmore winced as a pain shot up her arm again, it was a pain that felt like it could take over her whole body.
“What are you doing?” she asked, feeling annoyed and sore.
The voice, which Gilmore had not bothered to locate because of having her eyes still closed, laughed a little, “I’m helping you, it’s the best I can do after smacking you with that door, what were you doing sitting there?”
Gilmore wanted to sit up, she wanted to punch the person who was asking such silly questions.
“Well, I was waiting for a child to come back, but I was tired and needed sleep, I guess I dozed off.”
Gilmore tried to lift her hand to shade her eyes but pain filled her arm, moaning she put it back down.
“Does that hurt?” the voice said,
“What lifting this silly arm? Yeah.” Gilmore said she really wanted to smack some sense into this being!
A hand touched her arm making her scream and almost fall off the bed she was laying on,
“What did you do that for?” she hissed.
“Sorry, but Now I can help you, because I know what is wrong.”
At the sound of footsteps leaving the room Gilmore tried to open her eyes, realizing that after a moment the bright light was not so bad, she looked around, she was in a small room, the room was white, the lights were bright, it hurt her eyes to look around, so she closed them again.
When the footsteps came back Gilmore opened her eyes, only to wish she had not, a ugly man with a white pair of scrubs. Gilmore again screamed, but this time she was in no pain.
The man chuckled, he seemed to find her screaming funny,
“Don’t worry, I will not hurt you.”
“GilmoreThat’s because your arm is broken. That is why I am also here, to fix it.” he said, looking at her,
“Any of the things you have been doing must be put on hold. If you don't, you will soon learn why I said that!”
The next bit of the day was filled with pain, as Doctor Magel fixed her arm, he first reset it, which had hurt beyond belief! Then he had given it meds to make it hurt less, which had hurt. Then he had given her a cast, this had been a long and slow process, one that Gilmlre was happy to have over.
* * *
Gilmore walked slowly back to her Cabin, she was brooding, her anger growing slowly, it was building up ever so slowly!
She needed to get revenge on Miss Bem!
Walking slowly Gilmore wished she had accepted the offer to be led back to her Cabin, her head felt dizzy from all the medicine that she had been given, and her arm was numb, just numb.
She felt like sitting down, but feared that she might get hurt. She wanted to move her arm, but it hurt, every step her arm moved a little, sending pain up it.
Wincing as her arm moved more than she had wanted Gilmore started to wonder how on earth she would ever do Art class, or ant Class for that matter! Art and Farming would be the hardest!
With her right arm broken she had also broken the arm that she used for everything, drawing, writing, playing cards, baking, picking up hay or straw, leading Spark and Blaze.
Just then Naku came into view, she looked at Gilmore, for a second looking confused, then she ran over in a flurry of happiness.
“Oh Gilmore! What happened? You were gone all day!” Then she saw Gilmore’s cast and looked worried, “What happened?”
“Well, I was going to sign up for some things to keep me busy, you know from thinking about Enoch and everything, well I met this little girl, Klarabella, she and Miss Bem. Klarabella was hiding and Miss Bem was trying to find her, I found the child and Miss Bem asked if I would watch her, long story short: I said sure and then she asked that I watch the kid that night, I agreed and she gave me her address, but I lost it before i even had looked at it.
I searched for Klarabella and never found her, but I found the nursery, where I waited for her to come back, there I fell asleep, then Doctor Margo hit me with a door and broke my arm.”
She explained, while Naku looked at her intently the whole time,
“Can I draw on it?” she asked hopefully, Gilmore nodded,
“Yes, but right now I need sleep, and it hurts so I want to leave it alone, later you can.”
“Great! Make sure I’m the first!” she said, The two girls talked all the way back to Cabin #8, where Gilmore said goodbye and then went inside, she got as far as the couch and then she was too tired, setting herself down on the couch Gilmore closed her eyes, slowly falling asleep.
Her dreams were messy and she woke up a few times, her arm in pain, a lot of pain.
In the morning she opened her eyes to find Violet and Jorgina staring at her. Arisha who was at the table was trying to get them to leave poor Gilmore alone,
“She will tell us everything when she wakes up, I know she will, so leave her alone and help me make her some food!”
Food. That sounded great! Gilmore’s belly made angry sounds and she knew she was hungry!
“She’s awake now!” Jorgina cried when she saw Gilmore’s open eyes, that was when Gilmore was flooded with questions, a lot of questions.
“What happened?”
“Who did you try to punch?”
“Who did it?”
“When did this happen?”
Questions flooded Gilmore making her feel like she was going to drowned in them, pushing herself up with her left arm Gilmore started to stand up, being bombarded by questions was no fun, and she wanted it to stop,
“Listen, I have to get to my Farm! I’ll tell you all later!” standing up Gilmore stomped into her room and changed her pants, that was hard enough alone, her shirt was another story.
Giving up on her attempt to change her shirt Gilmore got up and fed Libby.
The Lizard looked mad at being left alone for two days.
When Gilmore had gotten out of her room,
She had been bombarded by questions again, she quickly left the cabin, rushing back inside when she remembered that she had forgotten her coat, rushing back getting her coat and rushing back out before another question could be asked Gilmore attempted to pull her coat over her cast, but it failed to work, the clat was too small for that big stubborn cast!
She sighed and started to walk towards Connie’s Corner, she really needed to get a bigger coat!
When she got there she quickly walked into the small shop where Mr. and Mrs. Caris lived.
When she opened the door the bell tinkled and Mrs. Caris walked out of the backroom,
“Why hello miss Gilmore!” she said with a cheery voice.
Gilmore waved at her with her good hand, “Hey Ma’am”
That was when Mrs. Caris noticed that Gilmore’s arm was broken.
“Oh dear! What did you do to your arm?” she asked looking worried,
“Oh it’s a long story.”
Gilmore headed to the coats’ area and picked out a coat that was two sizes too big, she tried it on and it seemed to work, taking it off she started for the checkout when she saw Carwyn, he was flipping through a farming magazine.
Gilmore decided to go over and say Hi to the boy.
“Hey Carwyn!” she called out, the boy’s head snapped up looking around wildly he spotted Gilmore,
“Oh it’s just you.” he said, sounding relieved.
“What do you mean ‘It's Just you’”
Carwyn looked nervous, “Sorry I didn't mean it that way, it’s just that my Aunt who I’ve never met is coming here to see me and Scarlet, my sister.”
“So what’s the big fuss then. Aunts are great!” Gilmore said, Carwyn looked at her with amusement until his eyes landed on the cast that covered Gilmore’s broken arm.
“What happened to your arm?” he asked, his voice soft and curious.
“Oh this mess?” she pointed to her broken arm with her good arm. “A door was opened in it, and it broke,” that was just the quick way to explain it, Gilmore was bored of explaining it.
“Well...why not just heal it? You can do that right?”
“Why would I be able to do it? I’m no elf! I don’t even have a drop of elf blood in me!” At this Carwyn looked confused, “Well, that's really odd, because that spray that you were smelling in my family’s store. That only affects Elfs and Mice, not humans. You must have some Elf in you.”
Gilmore was shocked! She was a pure human! She had never even heard of this school! And this was the only place where she had ever heard of Elves, this brought another thought into her head, “Carwyn?”
“Yeah?”
“Umm where are we?” she asked, sounding really foolish, and feeling the same.
“We are in Mr. and Mrs. Caris’s store.”
“No, where in the world are we, you see I was never told, I just stepped into a portal and arrived here.”
Carwyn laughed, “Oh, we are in Aadhila.” Now Gilmore was really confused!
“Aadhila??” she said weakly “But that’s not on the map”
“No it’s not, because Aadhila is too small of an island. The school grounds are the only really safe spot too, the rest of the Island, the part that is covered in trees, is dangerous. Many good beings have died trying to venture into that forbidding place!”
“Is that why there’s that rule? I thought they were just trying to control us.”
Carwyn laughed again, “Many students think the same, they try to prove the staff wrong, sneak out and get killed.” the boy’s eyes got dark, as if a storm cloud had just passed over them.
“Like my brother.” the boy went quiet, Gilmore looked at him,she wished she knew what to say.
“I’m really sorry Carwyn. About your brother I mean.”
Carwyn looked at her and smiled, softly he said, “It was his fate. I am not sure if you believe in fate or not, I did not, until he was killed.”
Gilmore was now very interested. “Please can you tell me more please?”
Carwyn looked angered at Gilmore’s pushiness, he looked like he wanted to yell and run away.
“I’ve never told anyone before.L he said, sounding defiant. “But I’ll tell you, you can be the first to hear it.” his voice had softened.
Gilmore nodded, “I would love to know.” Carwyn sighed taking in a deep breath
“He was 12, when we moved here to Aadhila. We moved her because my sister, Scarlet, got sick. The cure for her sickness was only grown in one place; Aadhila.
My mother and father were born here, so coming back was no problem, they had been raised and schooled here. They agreed to move back with Perce, Scarlet and me.
There was only one problem; our family farm.
The question came up as whether we should sell it or give it to a friend.
Mother decided to sell it, Father wanted to give it to a friend, they fought over it for a long time, until Scarlet was too sick, we needed to move here as soon as we could, Mother won and we sold the farm, taking what little things we had kept with us we moved here.
When we came we had thought that Mary Jane, a friend of Father’s was still living here our plan had been to stay with her. But that plan went through the roof when we learned that Mary Jane had been killed by raging Carbel.”
Carwyn must have noticed Gilmore’s confused face and explained “Carbels are like moose, but they have bad tempers and their horns are sharper, well anyway. The Carbel had Killed Mary Jane a few days before we had arrived, her house had been sold and we were homeless.”
Carwyn looked like he might stop, like it was all too painful.
“We asked friends for help, but everyone was gone. They had all left for Christmas break.
Mother wanted us to go to the homeless shelter until we got a place to stay but Father said that he would not let his pride go, we had money and we could find a place to stay.
Father was able to get medicine for Scarlet and Mother was able to keep my sister healthy.
But Perce and I were bored, we had nothing to do, we could not even help! That was when Mother enrolled us for school, I was too young, still am, and they would not let me in, but Perce was let in, he was to start school the next semester.
That was how we got a home, Enoch Ethen was a good friend of my father when they were little, when Enoch found out about Perce joining the school he tried to find out where we lived she he could visit us, after he learned that we had no home, Enoch had owned a store t’at the time, be had been living in the top floor, but not the bottom floor, he offered to give it to us, he had been planning to sell it anyway.”
Carwyn took a deep breath before going on. “We thanked him for being so kind and soon we were moved in, he moved to his office and we now had a place to stay. Well anyway the next year Perce started school, he reported everything to me and Scarlet who was not healthy enough to go to school.
Perce’s skill was Farming, just like his mother and father.
After a few weeks of school Perce became bored of it, he wanted to do what he wanted not what the school wanted him to do. Well Perce decided he was going to break some rules, just for the fun of it. He started with little ones, things like clogging the toilets, and then he decided that was boring and stepped up his game into bullying little kids. Perce was tall and smart, he was able to bully others even if they were older than him. Mother and Father let this go, they were too busy with Scarlet, But I often wonder if Perce would still be alive if they had stopped him at the start.” the boy looked at Gilmore, his bright eyes seemed to look straight through her.
“Well things got worse, he started a gang, he got detention, this made him mad. He then started staying out after Curfew, Mother and Father never said a word to him about it. But the one night Perce stayed out till two in the morning, Mother was livid, Father tried to reason with her, he tried to tell her that Perce was just being a naugthy teen. Mother would not hear of it, she yelled at Perce, she yelled and yelled and yelled. Scarlet and I sat in the back room, we listened and waited, hoping for them to stop soon but it kept on going, they kept fighting for half the day, Perce missed school that day, Mother’s voice finally broke and she had to take a rest, Father had to give Scarlet her medicine, and that left me with Perce. Perce had always been nice to me. We had had a great relationship. That night Perce told me his plan, he told me everything but he made me promise not to tell mother or father, I agreed. When he left I never thought that would be the last time I saw him, I never thought that the last person in my family to see him would be me.” Carwyn’s face was covered in tears, he had started to cry when he had started to talk about the death of his brother. Gilmore wanted to hug him, to clean his face of the tears that had stained it red. She looked at him with sorrow,
“I’m really sorry Carwyn.” was all she could make herself say, it was all she could think of.
Then she realized that she had to buy her coat and get to her farm,
“I have to get to my Farm before classes start, I’ll see you later?”
“I’m free today, I can’t help you with the Farm, your cast is going to make it hard!” he said, his face still red, but the tears had dried, a smile replacing the tears.
“Sure, I would love the help.” she said surprised that he had offered to help.
She went up to the checkout with Carwyn at her side to pay for her coat.

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
Too Helpful.
Carwyn and Gilmore arrived at Gilmore’s farm a half hour after they had met in the store.
“So where do you want me?” Carwyn asked, looking at her with an intent look.
“Umm, how about with the horses?” Carwyn looked surprised but headed inside the barn, coming out a few moments later with Blaze,
“When was the last time you worked with him? He needs to be hitched up to a plow!” Carwyn said, looking over the tall horse’s body.
“I am not really that good at plowing, I don’t even know how!” Gilmore replied with a grin.
“Well all you do is hitch up the horses and plow!”
“You say that like I know how to do any of that!”
“Well how would I know that you don’t know?”
“I just told you, now scat!” Gilmore said, smiling softly.
Carwyn smiled back and led the horse away. Gilmore went inside the barn and started on the feed, she mixed all the things together and put the dishes down, she then went out and let the goats out, they ran to their pens where they started to eat, Carwyn came out of the horse paddock and looked at Gilmore,
“Girl, your mare is a little bit cuckoo!”
“Why? She's trying to kill you or something?” Gilmore asked, looking up at Carwyn.
“Well she is running around like crazy!”
Gilmore laughed, “I can believe that! The first day I saw her she made me chase her to get her inside for the night!”
Carwyn smiled and went inside, shaking his head,
Gilmore decided to work on feeding the bunnies and chickens.
Pouring the feed on the ground, the small animals ran to eat.
Soon the chores were done and Carwyn and Gilmore were able to leave, but just before leaving he told her that he would be helping her till her arm was better, she thanked him and jumped in the portal, she did not know that when she had said Ok, she had agreed to a lifelong pain in the butt!
Gilmore walked into the portal room, only to find a certain boy standing there waiting, Carwyn had a big goofy smile on his face as he waved at her,
“Hey Ma’am! Which classes are today?”
“Urg Carwyn how did you get here? I thought you were not allowed at school yet?”
The boy only smiled, “I got the OK from the headmaster!”
Gilmore groaned “to do what. Stalk me?”
The boy frowned, “No to help you!”
Girl more rolled her eyes, “Great just great.”
She looked at the portal manager, “Take me and this Goon to Art class please.”
The manager, the woman, nodded and pushed a button. The wall shimmered and Gilmore stepped in it, moving aside and she waited for Carwyn, half homing that he would not land and that she could do her class without him.
But much to Gilmore’s sadness Carwyn did arrive just a moment later, he sat there looking sick in the face, be just sat there until Gilmore pulled him out from the path,
“Dodo brain! What do you think? There is going to be another student landing in a few seconds!”
She said harshly, Carwyn looked at her,
“Sorry, is there a bathroom around?” his face looked pained and his eyes were pleading.
“I don’t know! Look, mister if you are going to stalk me around then at least don't be extra work for me ok?”
Carwyn nodded and ran up to Miss Vicky, the teacher looked rather confused at this new kid asking her some silly question.
Gilmore shook her head and sat down, other students were doing the same thing; sitting down.
Gilmore sat in a nice pink bean bag chair, resting her broken arm on the side, for once her arm was not hurting, Deciding to maybe buy a bean bag chair Gilmore looked around, every students had sat down, but Miss Vicky had placed a new bean bag seat beside Gilmore’s, it was the only one that did not have a student filling it.
Miss Vicky said her hello to the class and announced that they would be waiting for Carwyn to come back to start the class.
Gilmore groaned, why did they have to wait?
“Really Miss Vicky we don’t have to wait!” Gilmore said with a look of desperation on her face.
Miss Vicky smiled “Nice try Miss Pallno, but I say we wait.”
Gilmore sighed in defeat, they would have to wait. After a while Carwyn can back out,
“Sorry, I was really Sick! Vomit, which was full of my b-”
“Mister, I think we are starting our class now!” Miss Vicky said with a quick and smart flick of her hand, Carwyn nodded and sat down, with a sigh he looked at Gilmore’s arm,
“Are you good? Do you need anything for it?”
“No! I’m fine!” Gillmore snapped back, then she felt bad but decided to not let him know, figuring that it might make him stop.
Miss Vicky started the lesson, talking about their new art piece and how she wanted them to
Put all their feelings into the next piece they would be doing, which would be a piece of art (with paint) that showed the current feeling of the student painting them, without coming out and saying it.
Gilmore smirked as she thought about what her’s would be, at that moment would be a big cloud of grey with Carwyn’s face below it.
Miss Vicky then told them all that this was going to be painted that day in class.
The pretty teacher handed out a canvas, paints, brushes, a pencil and an eraser and a few other art odds and ends to every student.
“Miss Pallno, you and Carwyn can share.” she said with a smile, Gilmore groaned again, this was going to be a long day.
When they were told they could start, Gilmore was angered by the fact that Carwyn decided to take over, jabbering about how they should draw a rainbow with happy little kids running around.
“No, that is not my mood right now.” Gilmore said with a look of deviance.
Carwyn frowned “Look I’m trying to help you!”
“You're being too helpful, I don’t need you to stalk me around!” Gilmore said Glaring at the boy.
“I’m not!” Carwyn said picking up the paint brush he closed his eyes and started to paint,
Small swirls of red, then blue, then purple, then yellow, then green. every stroke of paint made up a big picture, and when he was done it was amazing, a face made out of small swirls, the colours folded together to make the colour of a girl’s face, the girl had rosy cheeks and blue eyes, Carwyn had painted it so quick that Gilmore was even more amazed.
When Miss Vicky came by to check she was also amazed and gave both children a big pat on the back, “You guys are a great team!”
Gilmore rolled her eyes, she saw Naku was looking at her from the other side of the class, her face showed only happiness, she must not have been upset about Gilmore being stuck with Carwyn.
Gilmore looked around, everyone else was still working, everyone else did not have a ‘helper’
She sighed, feeling bad for herself.
When Class was over everyone turned in their art, everyone left, Gilmore was about to step in the portal when Carwyn pulled her back,
“What’s the next class?” he asked looking hopeful,
“I think it’s baking.” Gilmore replied, knowing that it was, and hoping that Carwyn would not be an amazing cook too.
“Oh goodie! I love to bake! What are we making?”
“I am not sure what I am Making, there is no WE Carwyn, I am doing this one alone, only Me.”
The boy looked hurt, but then brightened up again, “Well, I can help you!”
He said with a big smile.
Gilmore sighed and jumped through the portal, she was used to the whooshy feeling that she got when using the portal, she had grown to enjoy the ride, it was fun for her.
When she landed she moved out of the way and asked the portal manager to let her get to baking class quick, he nodded and she jumped back through, this time she landed in a big room, she had been here a few times, last time they had made cakes, this time they were decorating the cakes that they had made last time.
She sat down on one of the chairs. She was the first one here, the class’s teacher, Miss Elli, was sitting at her desk doing the cake that she would be showing the class how to do their cakes on.
She looked up and saw Gilmore, “Oh hello Miss?”
“Pallno, Gilmore Pallno.”
“Miss Pallno, sorry I forget names way too easy!” The woman was small, and thin, her fram was much like that of an hourglass, fat skinny fat.
Her brown hair was pulled up into a neat pony at the top of her head, her skin was a light tan colour.
“It’s ok Miss Elli, Umm, I have an annoying helper who is not very helpful, can you just make him go away for this class please?”
The woman thought for a moment, “Well, a helper would be great! Teamwork is a great thing you know.”
“But Miss Elli, Carwyn is annoying, he took over in Art class!”
“Give him a second chance, use the benefit of the doubt.”
“I have no doubt that he meant to do this.” she muttered as she looked down at her desk, her cake, a plain little chocolate cake, nothing great about it, nothing at all.
Miss Elli smiled as more students arrived, “Hello class!”
She said, pointing to every student and asking them their names and if they had all their stuff for decorating their cakes, just when Gilmore thought she had gotten lucky and lost Carwyn they boy landed with a thud on the floor where the portal had dumped him.
“Sorry Gilmore, I had to convince the portal manager that you needed me to help you.”
“Carwyn, Has anyone ever told you that you are the most annoying person ever? I think that tonight I’m going to walk you home tonight.”
The sandy haired boy grinned, “Really? I would love that!”
“Oh wait, you have that killing spray in your house, I am sorry.” Gilmore said not feeling at all sorry for the boy as his face fell.
Miss Elli started the lesson by talking about how to make the cake look great,
“So, I will have all of you come up, I will tell you a kind of cake decorating style and then you will have time to do it.” Miss Elli explained,
When Gilmore went up she got Wedding cake.
“How will I ever make a wedding cake out of this mess?” she wondered out loud, then wished she had not, because Carwyn was already looking at her cake, he had a pad of paper and a pencil, he was drawing a cake, When he was done his sketch he showed Gilmore,
“Ok so what I’m thinking is that we could make two more layers. Then get some white icing with a smooth sides, And then a orange ribbon around the base, of each layer, and orange Fondant flowers and a brown Fondant sticks, It’s simple and easy but really nice looking all the same, it's also a bit fall-ish because we are coming into the fall.”
Gilmore wanted to come up with some rude comment about Carwyn’s idea, but she could not think of any mean things to say, she did like the idea, and if she tried anything else she knew that it would not be so nice as his drawing.
“Ok, fine. You make the cake, I’ll warm the icing.” Gilmore said curtly. Carwyn nodded and got up and went off to start making the cakes.
Gilmore warmed up the icing and iced the first cake, her cake for the last Class, She Looked around and seen Carwyn bringing over a cake steaming hot, he pushed it into the fridge and sat down,
“How did you cook it so fast?” Gilmore asked confused, Carwyn smiled
“I turned the heat up really high, is anyone going to eat the cake?”
“Uuuh no? I hope not.” Gilmore said, knowing that the cake would be burned.
“Well, I mixed the batter super fast, so I think it might be well mixed at least!” the boy said grinning at Gilmore, for once the girl had no idea what to say.
Carwyn took this as a win and started to make the flowers with the fondant they had been given, Gilmore frowned, she was unable to help, her good hand was broken and this made ner flowers horrid looking, for once she was thankful to have Carwyn helping her.
Carwyn got up and went to the fridge, he brought back the two cakes, burned would be an understatement, the cakes were black; Blacker than black, they smelled burned looked burned and were cracking they were so burned,
“Carwyn, why did you do that? We might need to remake more cakes.”
The boy smiled, “I wanted to please you.”
Gilmore laughed, “With burned cakes? Wow, some girl is going to be lucky with you. I’m glad I won’t have to deal with it!”
Carwyn blushed and Gilmore looked at him, a smirk spread across her face, “Ooh you have a crush! Who is she? What poor soul have you decided to torment with your affectionate annoyance?”
The boy dipped his face, “Umm, no thanks?”
Gilmore grinned and went back to her work.
Carwyn got up and started to make another cake, this time cooking it with proper timing, and temperature.
When the cakes were made and cooled Gilmore iced them, Then the two children placed the orange ribbon around the bases of the cakes, then they placed the flowers around it, making the flowers look like they were growing upwards.
At the end of the class Miss Elli came around and judged each cake, not against each other but against a normal cake for what they had been told to make.
One student’s cake was a butterfly, it’s wings spread out wide, blue and pink, with silver outlines around each wing.
Another cake was a birthday cake, it was plain and simple, Gilmore liked it.
The rest of the cakes were either unfinished or badly crafted, falling apart and making messes on the floor.
“What’s your skill anyway Carwyn?” Gilmore asked as they walked out of the Main Cabin at the end of the day, Gilmore had gone to six classes in the day, and all of them Carwyn had been great at.
“Farming, almost everyone in my family is farming, that is normal though, most families share a skill among themselves.”
Gilmore looked at Carwyn, “Oh, well, what about the people without a skill? What about the students who are the first ones here in their family?”
Now Carwyn was frowning, “That never happens, any students here have had at least one parent come as a teen.”
Gilmore looked at him, “My Mother never went to this school, nor my Father.”
“Well, one of them had too, or else you would not be here.”
Gilmore shrugged, “Well there must have been a mistake.”

Carwyn and Gilmore arrived at Gilmore’s farm a half hour after they had met in the store.
“So where do you want me?” Carwyn asked, looking at her with an intent look.

WHAT IF I FALL? OH, MY DARLING
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
WHAT IF YOU FLY?
Aadhila, truth and honestly always wins.
falling snow
Gilmore pulled off her coat and boots, gasping for air, oh how that store was stinky!
Carwyn stood beside her, waiting for her. He opened a door and Gilmore rushed inside it, here the air was cooler and was not as strong with the Popcurnner spray that affected her so badly.
Violet claimed that her Mother and Father had both come, Jorgina said that her Father had been the only one to come in her family.
Naku had said that her father had gone, but she was not sure about her mother because they rarely talked if they ever did.
Gilmore had been confused, which parent had gone to this school? And why had they never told her?
This question has played over and over again in her head all night resulting in little to no sleep. It was now 6:45 pm and Gilmore was dropping Carwyn off at his house after he had helped her with another day’s worth of classes and helped her with her farm.
The two children climbed up a set of stairs and then opened another door, when Gilmore stepped into this room she was met with the smells of tacos, and roast beef.
A woman with blonde hair just like Carwyn sat at the table with a girl who also had the same hair as Carwyn’s, but the girl had a wheelchair and she was missing a leg,
“Hey mom!” Carwyn said loudly, the woman looked at him sterly,
“How many times do I have to tell you? Don’t yell, it's bad for Scarlet’s head!”
“Mom, It’s ok really! He can yell if he so wants to.” the girl said, Gilmore guessed this was Scarlet.
That was when Scarlet noticed Gilmore,
“Oh hello! My name is Scarlet, you must be Carwyn’s new friend Gilmore right?”
The girl spoke fast and smooth,
“Uuum, yep that would be me!” Gilmore said,
“Carwyn go wash your hands and then sit down, Gilmore hun please sit down!” Carwyn’s mother said with a smile.
Scarlet sighed, “Mother, I think I’m getting cold.”
Her mother jumped up and raced into the room off to the left, “How cold are you hunny bun?” she called out, Scarlet smirked
“Very cold mother, I might freeze any second now, get the warmest blanket we have!”
The girl looked at Gilmore, “So, are you as great as Carwyn says? He told me everything, about the cakes, and how he burned them. And the art, where he drew me. He is a really charming boy!” Now Gilmore could see the resemblance, the girl in the painting had rosy cheeks, Scarlet had rosy cheeks! The sparkled in the girl’s eyes and the sparkle in Scarlet’s eyes.
Gilmore smiled, “he can be a bother though too.”
The two girls talked for a while, until Carwyn sat down, then Scarlet said that Gilmore should get back to her cabin, it would be dark soon.
Gilmore said her goodbyes and then rushed downstairs and out of the stinky sprayed store.
She was going to turn around and leave for her cabin.
When she got back she sat down to think, Think, she had done this a lot!
Think about this, think about that.
But she had to think, she had to be on top of her class, but every class she had taken so far had not jumped out at her, none of the classes had even be a chance of being her skill, and now knowing that every students’ parents had come to this school Gilmore was starting to wonder if she had been a mistake, if she should not have been sent to this school, maybe Aldo had gotten the wrong house? Maybe there was another Gilmore? Did Adlo decide to go to the wrong house as a joke? But if so why did Enoch wait for Gilmore at the river? All this made Gilmore feel sad,
and that made her want a hug, maybe Naku would be willing to give her a hug, Getting up Gilmore got on her coat and boots and started to walk towards Naku’s Cabin, Cabin #6.
When Gilmore opened the door of her canin she was met with a flurry of big white cold snow.
There was about three inches of it on the ground now, wrapping her coat around herself so that she would not get cold on her broken arm.
When Gilmore knocked on the door of Cabin number six she had hoped Naku would be the one to open it, not one of Naku’s Cabin mates.
But against all odds Naku was not the one to open it, the girl to open it was middle sized with brown hair that was pulled into a ponytail, she wore glasses and had a kind smile,
“Can I help you?L she said polity, Gilmore nodded,
“Yeah, is Naku here?” she asked, the girl cocked her head sideways, in a confused way,
“There is no Nakus here. We have a Nakusa? Is that who you're looking for?”
“Yeah, Nakusa Mellform.”
“I’ll get her, be back!” the girl shouted as she ran into the cabin, a few moments later Naku came out,
“Thanks Maddie! Hey Gilmore! What’s up?”
Gilmore’s response was a hug, she wrapped her arms, as well as she could with the cast on, around Naku.
Both girls stood there hugging, in silence.
That is until Maddie came out and seen the two hugging,
“Oh! I’m sorry, I’ll leave your mugs there!” she said backing away, Naku laughed and thanked Maddie again, still hugging Gilmore.
“So what’s the hug about?” She asked, loosening her grip on Gilmore, Gilmore stepped back,
“Sorry, I just needed a hug, my brain hurts. Too much thinking.”
Naku looked at her with an eyebrow raised, “About what?”
“Oh it was nothing important, really just small things like whether I was supposed to come to this school or not, you know, things every student wonders at some point.” Gilmore said, trying to sound light, but failing at it.
Naku looked at her, “Really Gil, I would have thought that you of all people would never try to pass such a dark topic off so lightly! I’m disappointed in you.” Naku was using that kind of voice, the kind that Mothers use when disappointed in their offspring.
“Sorry Ma’am, I did not mean to offend you!” Gilmore said in mock fright, Naku laughed and Gilmore’s heart started to lighten, Naku was like that, she could lighten any bad mood.
Gilmore grinned at Naku, Naku looked at her,
“You never told me what’s wrong.”
“Yes I did!” Gilmore said, smirking. She bent over and picked up a snowball with her good hand, balling the snow into a good looking snowball, then she winged it at Naku, hitting her in the chest. Naku opened her mouth but then closed it, bending down she Made snowball and turning to Gilmore she chucked it at Gilmore, the two girls started to throw snowballs back and forth, in a minnie snowball fight.
Maddie came out and joined the fight, siding with Gilmore who was having a bit of trouble making snowballs as fast as Naku could, Maddie was great at making snowballs, she was quick and perfect at it too.
Maddie and Gilmore worked together, Making and throwing the snowballs until they had no snow left on the ground, any snow that was there was pushed into small clumps that had hit either Gilmore, Maddie or Naku.
Gilmore’s whole body was covered in snow, as was Maddie and Naku’s.
Maddie looked around, “Why don’t we go inside and have some hot cocoa?” she asked
Naku nodded and Gilmore shrugged, “I don’t want to be out too late, it’s already dark out.” she said, “I better go.”, turning to leave, Maddie smiled at her and Waved,
“Bye! I hope to see you soon!”
Gilmore watched as Maddie and Naku went i side, and then feeling the happiness of the last few moments slip away Gilmore headed back, back to her Cabin.
