Welcome to Hogwarts

At Mr. Knight's mention that non-human students could very well be in the Great Hall tonight, Akira couldn't help but feel slightly uneasy. He'd noticed that Mr. Stevenson proclaimed to be half-goblin, from the way the boy was talking loudly to someone else and causing all sorts of ruckus. Surely, the blond boy didn't seem to set a good example for his race. However, he wasn't particularly concerned about half-goblins, or even goblins, for that matter. It was the dhampirs, werewolves, half-veelas and half-giants that were more likely to pose the threat of danger.Open to interactions

So, when he posed his question to Mr. Knight about the general feeling of the school populace on issues of race, he was testing the waters to see whether Hogwarts students had the same wariness as he did, before he dared to share his opinions. "Some don't mind and are accepting of the fact that non humans can come to Hogwarts, but there are some who are against it and believe the prejudice and rumours." Akira narrowed his eyes in concentration and turned Mr. Knight's response over in his mind. So, it seemed that the older boy considered those who allowed non-humans into the school to be 'accepting', and that those who were against it were prejudiced and believed 'rumors' -- as if a general regard for safety was scandalous. How odd, how interesting.
He pondered how he could get Henry Knight to explain more about this point of view. "What rumors are you talking about?" he asked. "Could they not be true? Werewolves and dhampirs have an innate desire to kill, destroy, or maim others -- especially when werewolves have transformed into their full-moon forms, or when dhampirs need blood to feed themselves for sustenance. How could it not be dangerous to have being such as these wandering the school, and living in dorms? By the way, I'm just speculating here, and asking questions to learn how accepting and optimistic Hogwarts students like you think about this issue." He finished, hoping that his question came off as more of a point of curiosity than 'prejudice'. Perhaps more scholarly than judging, even though he may very well judge, nevertheless.
Kobayashi-san seemed to balk at his observation that she looked like her brother. Akira would give a small, apologetic smile in response, but he was laughing inwardly for once that a wry comment of his succeeded to draw a response from her. The ever imposing and strong Kobayashi Sakura-san.
After her brother left, Akira got up to invite Hitoshi-senpai to their table. His senpai's cheerful obsession with food puzzled Akira a little bit -- what was so interesting about dry English meat and potatoes? -- but he smiled as Hitoshi-senpai made a quirky observation that food was at their table, too. They made to move back to Akira's spot, but Hitoshi-senpai stopped midway. "Ah.... Can I.... help you?" Akira glanced back to see Cody Stevenson staring at Hitoshi-senpai, as if he wished to speak to him. Oh, no. Not this Hufflepuff boy again. Akira had had enough of him. He narrowed his eyes at Cody Stevenson, daring him to say something stupid to his senpai. What a waste of time.

Henry softly smiled toward the mahoutokoro girl, the third year took a liking to her and wanted to learn more about her.
He didn’t mind the others leaving and looking for other conversation, Henry was great wirh conversing with Sakura Kobayashi. Smiling at the girl's words, listening to her planning to meet up again with her later.
It wouldn't hurt to be friends with the Mahoutokoro girl, the difference in age didn’t bother the young lad as he smiled at her and spoke"tomorrow after classes, meet me by the entrance to the hall Kobayashi-san there you can show me your sketch and I can show you the spot." Henry smildd at the girl, moving to sit besdies her at one of the long tables. Loki crawl off his owner's shoulder, sniffing thw Mahoutokoro girl then rubbing aginest her for a moment before going to sit besides Henry on the bench. Amber eyes observing the scene.
Henry watched the scene between the girl and her brother, choosing to stay silent until he watched rhe elder boy leave. Turning toward the girl, Henry softly smiled as he spoke"I have a older brother as well, he graduated Hogwarts already though. Do you have anyother siblings?" Henry smiled toward the girl, wondering if he should mention his twin sister or step siblings. They counted as siblings, didn't they?
Henry listened to the girl talk over her hobbies, nodding along until she finished. The third year smilsd at her, interested as he spoke"origami? That's bloody cool," Henry smiled toward the girl and opened his mouth ti ask abother questiom when Akira Shimizu cut him off with his own questions. On non humans and prejudices.
Henry felt a little uncomfortable in the current situation, he felt worried that another will find out his firt secret and the boy's question was making him more unsettled. Loki rubbed aginest his owner's arm, calming him a bit as he spoke"dhampir's mange their instincts wirh blood lollies and werewolves arent dangerous unless transformed during a full moon, anything about them being dangerous any other day is a myth. Any other questions, Shimizu-San?" Henry looked at the boy until the third yesr noticed him looking away, Henry then looked toward the mahoutokoro girl with a soft smile as he spoke"would you care to get to know each other a bit better? Uh, would you like to be friends?"

@Scarlet Salvatore[font=Monotype Corsiva]Enzo nodded to both of his friend's questions as his facial expression continued to show his pure displeasure. He then saw the two he had just brought up look back over at him and mirror his own actions by discussing him presumably. His eyes then trailed up and his gaze stopped on the girl's cousin, a fellow Beauxbatons student, but the second he saw that the boy opened his mouth, a sigh was immediately exuded from him. Gosh, he did not have the time for this.
"Listen, my friend, though I know nothing of you, but you do not seem like the worst lad ever. With that said though, do me a small favour and keep to your own business. Much appreciated" He said calmly and in their native language once again. Though contrary to his usual, for once he had barely any sarcasm attached to his voice. Now for a normal person that would likely still have sounded unquestionably rude, but for Enzo, that was practically a compliment. He had done so because even from the little he had seen of Ye-jun Lee, he did not come across as someone who would bother him that much on a regular basis, and since he went to school with the gent, it was probably in everyone's best interest to not add yet another name to his list of nuisances. That list was long enough as it is. But the girl and that dense cat on the other hand, were another story entirely. He sent them both another look of irritation before turning back to his friend, acting like he never even knew of their existence. He was not going to give them time of day.
An elbow suddenly poking into his side made Enzo try his best to get himself caught up on whatever conversation Val was engaging in. The silly cat girl had distracted him, and so he was rather puzzled when he looked in the girl Val was motioning at, and then saw her expression. Enzo eyed his friend and glanced back and forth between the two of them a few more times, then leaned over to his friend and mumbled jokingly while trying to suppress a small chuckle of amusement. "What happened?... Did you... say something?"
Then Val spoke up again attempting to rectify whatever had upset the young lady, but when he had peered back over at Enzo, the blond just stared back obliviously for a few moments before realizing he was supposed to chime in and help somehow. His eyes widened slightly as if to say "What, me? How the hell can I help?", but nevertheless he eventually cleared his throat and was about to try and speak up, but before anything even came out, the girl had made a hasty escape.
Enzo shook his head - "Why are all these Hogwarts students so weird? It must be something in their air"
- So sorry for the delay!

Welcome to Hogwarts
The denial of the other was unreasonable as he brought the subject of Maxi's rather free mind. To André it was unreasonable, the attempt to cover it up as well, the stammering. He was the one who was being appreciative to what some would consider masterful works of art. André could never. He was not abstract. He knew this, he preferred concrete answers, and to work based on logical reasoning(though his foundation was based on something less than logical.). When he looked at a painting, he could not appreciate it the way others did. They would notice things, pick up on "meanings" that were meaningless to André. He could talk the talk, it was enough to satisfy most anybody. Yet acting as if you understood it, and having a clear understanding were too very different things.
He was unable to appreciate works of fiction like his peers. They would roam off to imaginary lands, heads in the clouds, his feet stayed on the ground. When he read works of fiction, he was always too ask the point. Some said it brought joy. How could something imaginary, something that is so far, and impossible that it was unable to exist joy to people? Chasing after nothing. You could have care for it but never really live it. He could understand the principles, people liked it, thought it was a beautiful to ever have laid eyes upon, and beautiful sells. Pretty sells as well, but pretty is one typo off of petty, which didn't sell.
Or now. André could read emotions, but being so far from his own, he would never be able to understand them. Like the look on Maxi's face as André had carried on. With saying he was right, he had a point, of course he did, there was no other option there, he didn't need assurance on that. He wondered what a mind like Maxi's could be on, thought-wise, that had lead to an answer like such. All the thinking, and yet Maxi hadn't even made the slightest attempt to carry the conversation forward. André would subside, there were more pressing matters then trying to get into the brain of someone he knew he wouldn't ever be able to truly understand.
The conversation concluded quickly, it was ended on the note that André was a good friend. This wasn't how that was supposed to go. Something Maxi was supposedly invested in and he didn't carry the the conversation forward. André mirrored his friends smile, though he was frowning inwardly. What kind of person was this?!?! He knew what kind of person, but how dare Maxi not participate in conversation that André had made because he thought he would speak of something the other was interested in. Why was Maxi not being normal? Normal as in typical for how others were. He knew- he knew Maxi wasn't like other people, still André's mind sought out more of an answer. One that he would be unable to get.
“You as well.” André thought about the words carefully, and they had sounded worse after coming out of his mouth. He said it because it would be the wanted answer. André was examining the bounds of friendship it would be far longer before he decided whether it would be a genuine thing internally to math the external reaction. He cared, he didn't know his own. He needed to lay grounds for what a good friend was in a way that didn't sound like a pike of nonsense to his brain.
“There is, I may go.” He wasn't going to go. He had planned to snoop around the castle instead, he just wasn't going to recite this too Maxi's face. His plans were less then going to a ball with loud music and annoying sociable creatures. “If won't get one If I go.” André stated plainly. It was his turn to smile. “I would prefer to roam freely if you know what I mean.” He didn't intent for Maxi to know what he meant because he didn't mean it. Maybe there were other meanings that would shuffle in and take place for it. “Will you go? You might find it fun, you never know.” He said, he would shrug. Then smirked. “What about you, a date?” He could see it for Maxi. He was smooth enough for it. His slight naivety had to be appealing to people, and his mind he could write stories in words. André wouldn't be surprised of he found out Maxi had been adding more to the stories the students were told in his head.
