Duelling Questions
If you have questions about Duelling, the mechanics, teams, or championship, this is the place to ask. A captain will see and give you an answer, and others who might have the same question will be able to look it up here, too.DUELLING FAQ
Before you ask: Please make sure that the question is not already answered here or in our Duelling Rules. If you have read through that and still don't know the answer, please post here.

Duelling Questions
Protego. Was told that the spell could only be used on the caster, and not a partner. The spell description is not entirely clear about that at all. "The effect is applied in the same round (that round only) and is able to block/reflect the spells cast at the shielded player." and "The caster creates an invisible shield that blocks spells and can reflect them." Please clarify and edit the spell description to avoid future confusion. Neither of my captains knew about it too and was unable to advise.

It truly depends on your stat build, the opposing teams stat build, as well as the combined mood and personality of your team. Short, there is no correct answer and its highly subjective and situational. There are many different approaches and preferences, and it depends a lot on whether you have the upper hand or are at a disadvantage statistically.
The best strategy is one that works for you and your partner, you will have to talk to them and find spells they like to use. Have a look at your opponents stats, are there things you need to debuff? Are you even able to land a good hit based on your stats? Alright I am rambling but I hope you get the point :>

Duelling Questions
@Cody Stevenson: Strategies heavily depend on your, your partner's, and your opponents stats/spells/abilities. There's no one-catch-all answer to this. (Ah, Alan was faster and said it better)
@Aurelia Notrésvace: This has already been brought up with the captains and will be patched in the future. You have already made your captains aware of this as you said yourself. Please use this thread for questions.

Duelling Questions
@Aurelia Notrésvace: The intention is that the captains take the lead on team pairing decisions. However, if you are unhappy with your pairing or think you have a suggestion that would better the synergy between partners/overall give Gryffindor a better chance to win, it is definitely encouraged to speak up, but this should be done in private with your captains. Alan said they asked whether the Gryffindor team was okay with their proposed pairings, that would have been your chance to have your say.

If it so happens that a duel never ends because >.> looks at evasion. Is it possible for a duel to continue 5ever?

Duelling Questions
In theory there is no max amount of rounds in normal duels. That might change in the future but so far there hasn't been any reason to. A duel can be forfeit at any time and the scales can tip with a few unlucky or lucky rolls.
So yes right now there is no official round limit but that could change in the future if needed.
