I'm sorry you feel that way, Juniper. I actually feel the same when I make a mistake and a senior staff points out to me, or when I'm at my student account and realise I've done something wrong, so I guess the feeling's common to many of us!

But yes as you say, we don't mean to. I think the form (written text) also makes it more difficult for the receiver to see that we're not angry, because we can't see each other's emotion through face or sound.

Hey guys, how is everyone? I agree with Professor Read, in that the written word is often obscure in terms of emotions. And everything teachers tell us is for our benefit (they're already getting paid for it).
