good idea- does it help when you have white splotches in your throat? I tested negative for strep, so I assume that means I don't have strep.

Yeah. It could also be mononucleosis. It's going around. I've had it once, and it was bad. I only had mom take me to the doctor when I couldn't stand the pain in my throat anymore, and the lymph nodes right below my jaw were the size of golf balls.
