Sylvie walked into the washroom. She always seemed to end up here... There was something about the special energy in the abandoned toilets that sparked something within her. Something... Uncontrollable.

Actually, it wasn't the energy in the toilets at all. She was simply a little bit odd! Perhaps the similarly strange and unusual vibes in the latrines made her feel right at home! Imagine! During her first year, little eleven-year-old Sylvie was almost nervous to walk in initially... It was dirty, musty, and dusty beyond belief. But nobody usually came in here, after all! The quiet footsteps of other students echoed outside and hardly bothered her.

The girl peered into one of the absolutely FILTHY mirrors doing a little jig and humming along to it. Maybe she was just in a silly, goofy mood! Nobody was watching, besides the ghosts anyway, right? Right... And she was getting lost in the moment. She skipped and hopped, waved her arms without a care. Goodness, if anyone walked in, it would be quite embarrassing! For someone who had any sense of shame, that it. Sylvie was not one of those people, however. She danced like a creature from one of her favorite video games in practical silence, like some sort of utter loon. At least it was a great stress reliever.

Hearing a... disturbance coming from inside the abandoned toilets as he passed by, young Elias Weare's curiosity got the better of him as he opted to enter the dank old room. They were quite unpleasant as it was, but when one came across what seemed to be some sort of insane asylum inside them, the impact was just amplified. In fact, it almost knocked Eli off his feet when he realized just who seemed to be losing their marbles. His... friend? No. Sylvie was more of an acquaintance, especially considering what he was witnessing at the moment. The young Ravenclaw couldn't be associated with such madness. He was striving to do better this year! Get his grades back up so that his parents would allow him to return to the quidditch team, it was after all that which coincided with them falling.

Blinking a few times to make sure he was seeing what he actually thought he was and this wasn't some sort of practical joke, the boy cleared his throat, preparing to question the girl. "What on god's green earth do you think you're doing?" Came his voice, as he prepared a second statement. "Someone might see you! They're going to think you've gone crackers. Lost your marbles. Whatever nutjob related comparison you want." This would be awful for her reputation if anyone found out. It would be awful for his reputation if anyone saw him in here with her doing this! What if they thought he was part of... whatever this was?

Sylvie was dancing like nobody was watching... And until just a moment ago, nobody was. Unfortunately now, her dearest, most amazingest friend Elias was standing in the doorway of the rank, nasty abandoned toilets. After all, it was usually a private little hideaway.

She gasped upon recognizing the voice coming from behind her. "IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS?" Sylvie spun all the way over to him, tightly grasping the hand of her friend. Her spinning only coming to a stop after the poor boy had already been twirled around one too many times. She dipped him. Sauvely. Smoothly. "Also! Don't be like that! I'm just... dancing, obviously. You don't dance?" Her smile stretched across her face as she looked at him. She was clearly out of breath from all the moving around. "You really should try it- It's sooo calming. It's basically free therapy." She continued on speaking like this... And probably would until Elias hushed her.

The fact that she was using one person, silent raves in the abandoned toilets as a therapeutic outlet could only be so telling of the Gryffindor girl's mental state. And the way she was dancing... Perhaps a better way to phrase that would be 'what was left' of her mental state.

Despite their... contradictory views of one another (Elias viewing the girl as a mere acquaintance), he did hold a certain degree of concern for her actual well being. Or at least, he did until she started spinning him. This girl was absolutely bonkers. Crackers, even.

As he was about to complain about the spinning, Sylvie took everything a step further. Flinging backwards with the force of... well a relatively small girl in comparison to himself, Eli was swiftly, suavely, planted on the floor as the girl failed to support his utter size. This was the last straw. Had he not already been in one abandoned bathroom brawl, the boy would have gotten up and started swinging, instead, he sat there, looking up at her pensively. Why had he even tried to help? Why did he bother? "Will you please just shut your mouth?"

He enquired from the floor, both mentally and emotionally drained. He should have stuck to hanging out with Valerie. She was normal. She didn't drop people on bathroom floors. Especially not ones that seemed as though they hadn't been cleaned in the better part of his own life. "Someone might hear all that screaming and come in here." Someone might see him on the floor with Sylvie standing over him... how embarrassing. Deciding to address at least one of the things she actually said, Eli chose perhaps the least scientific one, the claim that dancing in the abandoned toilets was practically free therapy. "Have you ever actually been to a therapist, Sylvie?" In his opinion, she could definitely use one.

As her perfect little (large) Ravenclaw boy fell to the floor, Sylvie gasped, covering her mouth and silencing her blabbering... "Nooo!! Oop- Wait, I forgot. My mouth, shut. Detention. Yes." It lasted for a moment! And then she quickly got over the disappointment she felt having been rudely asked to shut up. Her emotions were as fleeting as the wind. She didn't really register that Elias was clearly bigger than she was. It would have been obvious to literally anyone else that she wouldn't have been able to support the guy. Unfortunately, she wasn't just "anyone else" and now his back was planted firmly on the nasty floor.
"Have you ever actually been to a therapist, Sylvie?"
"Nope! My mom doesn't believe in therapy. And also she says I'm perfect. And also she says her whole family is perfect. She has me do a lot of yoga to calm my brain nerves." Sylvie started babbling yet again as she lowered herself onto the nasty bathroom tile. She went and held his hand. She had no sense of boundaries. Or person space. But right now, they were sharing bathroom germs; and that sick, twisted, and evil thought brought Sylvie and her damaged mind a strange sense of comfort.

Elias didn't actually care about getting a detention. He was far more concerned about his own social status than something as silly as that, although, he opted not to correct the Gryffindor girl. He didn't want to outright hurt her feelings or anything, she wasn't that much of a nuisance. Well... actually... nevermind. Currently, she was exceptionally bothersome. She was the reason Elias was planted on the bathroom floor.

As Sylvie continued her barrage of words, Elias almost shook his head. It took all he had not to, as a matter of fact. Clearly, whatever was wrong with Sylvie was hereditary, and came from her mothers side. With all the pseudoscience the girl was regurgitating, Elias wondered if Sylvie's mum had ever actually attended a real science class. It seemed unlikely. "Right..." He replied, a look of shock appearing on his face as the girl went for his hand. Why was she sitting down? Who would willing- actually, he was willingly sat on the grungy bathroom floor, but that was out of self defense. Eli was hoping that Sylvie wouldn't join him down here. He wasn't crazy. Not at all. Elias Weare was extraordinarily normal.

Pulling his hand out of the girls grasp as his face flushed red, Eli scrambled backwards across the bathroom floor in an attempt to put as much distance as possible between himself and the girl. Unfortunately, this only led to him cornering himself at the back of the bathroom, Sylvie planted on the floor between him and the exit. "What's that all about?" He asked, a tad out of breath from the shock. He might have contracted some sort of brain rotting illness. It was entirely possible. Sylvie might not even know she had it due to her mother's seeming distrust of actual medicine.

Sylvie smiled blankly. She was once again, oblivious to anything at all. Awww... He's so shy. <3
"What's that all about?"
That's okay, because she was going to go sit next to him, anyway. She butt-scooched across the bathroom floor, mopping it of any dust in the area as she slid up next top the boy. How cozy.

"Anyways, my mom is once of the smartest people I know! She always told me that there was nothing wrong that the people here in the wizarding world couldn't fix! So I'm not worried about anything!" She stated proudly. "They did for her, anyway!"

That probably wasn't what Elias was addressing. Unfortunately for him, Sylvie would skip over her holding his hand entirely. He was to be left in the dark on such things...

"What about you?? What'd your mom like? Is she a wizard-born too? Or is she from the muggle world?" It was very important to Sylvie. She had to know all about her future mother in-law. What if someday Elias decided to take her so they could meet and she hadn't a clue about his family! That would be embarrassing. I mean, what? Nothing.

Haha.

Ha.

What I meant to say was, it was very important for Sylvie to know about the important people in her friend's lives because that's what besties were supposed to do.

As Sylvie chased him across the bathroom floor, the only good descriptor for Elias' mood was sheer terror. What was going ooooooonnnnn?!? How had he ended up in this situation. All he'd wanted to suggest was that Sylvie go see a therapist. And now this was happening. Had the boy misstepped and fallen into some sort of strange and unusual prank? It most definitely felt like he had.

With his fellow bathroom dweller once more invading his personal space, Elias let out a sigh of discomfort, before once more scooting over. Once again, not outright rude but perhaps she'd finally take the hint. He could pray. "Do you mind staying over there for the time being?" He enquired, feigning a strained smile. Once again, Sylvie's brain rotting disease might have been contagious. He could catch it and potentially end up just like her. "We can talk from five feet away, how about that?" He continued, completely ignoring the girls question about his own mother. He was more than happy to make assumptions about Sylvie's but Eli's mother was none of the Gryffindor's business. Not in the slightest actually.

"How about I act like your therapist or something. Then you can tell your mum you were just talking with a friend and she doesn't need to know-" You are in need of severe mental help. Had he been in a worse mood, or even the slightest bit more disturbed by the girls behaviour he may have actually said that last part. He wasn't, but he would surely be reporting her antics to Thomas. He needed to know that his friend had absolutely lost it. Maybe the two of them together could manage to convince her to seek some form of actual help... even if it was just going to the school nurse to get screened for brain rot.

She scooted about 1 and a half feet away. Whether her sense of distance was screwed or she just wanted to be close to her future husband- I mean Elias, haha. Ha. That remained up in the air, because to look in her eyes was almost entirely blank. Even then, as she leaned in just a tad as she rested her elbows on her knees, his person space was forfeit.

Her question about his mother leapt out of the way as a new train of thought sped along the tracks of Sylvie's mind. "I dunno what I would say to a therapist... Even if it was you! Don't you need to go to school for that? Psychology? A certificate? OOOOOH! Wait! Idea! What if instead of me GETTING therapied, I become a therapist! A real one! I can go to doctor-school and everything, Elias, wouldn't that be cool?" She babbled a mile a minute before finally stopping to gasp for air, looking to the person next to her, wide-eyed and excited about her newfound life-path. She could listen to people's problems... That would be easy for her! She did that all the time! Sort of. When she felt like it.

Content with the fact his fellow classmate (read: freakish young girl) had moved slightly over at the very most, the young Ravenclaw sat, pondering how he might escape as she rambled. As she spoke, though, something came to him. If Sylvie went to school to become a therapist... like a real one, it would give him several years away from her. Not only that, but she might pick up something that could help her sort herself out. It was ideal.

"You want to be a therapist? Like a real one. You'd have to go to a real muggle school to do that, you know." Perhaps Elias could talk to her mother. Convince her that this was for the best, and if she wouldn't see reason, he'd move onto the girls father. Anything to remove the thorn in his side. Surely Thomas couldn't really like the girl either. He was just too big of a wimp to cut her off. It wouldn't be unlike him. Little shrimp boy. He probably couldn't pick up a beaters bat if he wanted to. No matter how much discomfort Sylvie brought to him, his hatred for Thomas came to the front of his mind.

Anyways. Thomas Baines aside, Sylvie was more of an issue in the current moment. Thomas wasn't even here. "Doctors have to spend a reeaaaaaally long time at school. But maybe that could be good! You could learn so much, Sylvie. Think about all the things you'd know once you were done."
