Quick and easy, her steps sure and determined, the logs were quickly crossed. A piece of cake, as predicted. (She wished she really had cake. Perhaps they would get cake as a reward for this. That would certainly motivate her.) At least for her it had been, because as she turned around to grin at her companions, she found that both of them were struggling a little more with their way across the chasm.

Shrugging, Dee waved at them. "You can do it! I'll go on ahead."

As she entered the next room, the sight struck her with a wave of homesickness. It resembled a shore, and although they didn't have much in the way of beaches around Whitehaven, the likeness of the sea was enough to tug on the longing inside of her.

It was more of a pond, however, and the message written in the sand made their new task clear. Smiling, Dee toed off her shoes and took off the light knit cardigan she was wearing over a shirt. Diving, this was something she felt comfortable with, not like that horrendous rope-climbing task. "I can do this one!" she called back to Opeila and Aurora, not turning to check whether the two had made it across the logs by now.

Confidence in every step, she walked out onto the pier, then took a deep breath before jumping into the water headfirst. There hadn't been many opportunities to swim since she'd come to Hogwarts, but she still felt at home in the water. So she dove.

Steady

Slowly

Shoot, I’m going to hell. But it was not the raging fire whose heat radiating from below, ready to turn the girl into a slightly burned roasted eagle, a bunch of soft pillow hugged her figure instead. Perhaps the wizarding world version of hell is different. What a pleasant feeling to be thrown to the land of feather, their unknown magical dust sprinkled a very strong desire to sleep, as if it put so much weight on her eyelid. Though, not very much convenient since she was in the middle of a challenge. In her defense, it would not be entirely her fault if she fall asleep under the log. She could blame the brain of the summer camp adventure for providing such comfortable cushions underneath. If it were something like thorns or fire, obviously no one with a decent ability to think would decide it would be a wonderful idea to rest there, including Aurora. Believe it or not, despite her odd way of problem solving, it is still a thinking process.

Had it not been the fear of being left alone while the other proceeded with the task, she would doze off into the dream land. One more try, if I fall again, then sleep it is. Fate decided otherwise. With the power of Dee’s cheering words, she walked on the log easily. She could even do a whole ballet performance there, but of course she did not. Just as her short leg touched the next room, Aurora sighed in relief. But not for so long.

A pond. As harmless as it seemed, nothing is not dangerous in the school of witchcraft and wizardry. The fishes, tiny, but it could be an illusion. “What should we do here? Do we need to high five the sharks?” Aurora pointed out the fishes that minded their own business and just did what fish usually do. She was literally convinced that one way or another, the little fishes will transform into big sharks. “I-I mean, It’s not like I am scared of water, I really don’t, as long as my feet could touch the ground so I could make sure that my head is above the surface-” Then Dee jumped into the water. Well, that was great. The girl just hoped the prefect would come back in one piece, alive and well, without any scratches or bites. “O-oh, okay, st-stay away from the sharks and DON’T BREATHE UNDERWATER BECAUSE YOU CAN’T!”

Don’t breathe underwater. Yes, she was speaking based on experience. If Pei was there, she would turn around and tell her story, the reason why she dislikes deep water. “I had a dream that I was a mermaid, so I could breathe underwater and it was quite fun, then when I went swimming with my mom, in reality, so I wasn't dreaming anymore, I tried to inhale as much oxygen that I possibly could under the water, and-“ There was a slight pause, “-I think I was hospitalized afterwards-“ and another pause, “-so yeah, that’s my story, and also I can’t help but to think of sharks if the water is deeper than my height.” Quite a story, wasn’t it?

@Dealla Prince would choose to do this task, whereas @Aurora Ranvier would decide to give some valuable life advice or attempted to. Her story was kind of silly, but endearing. He was curious how well Dee would manage with this task so he watched as she dove into the waist deep waters.
Attempt 1: Dealla
Stamina: DC10 - 1, DC15 - 2, DC20 - 3
Check: [d20:12]+6 → 2 token
Grab DC: 15
Check: [d20:6]+10, success
Check: [d20:17]+10, success

Attempt 2: Dealla
Stamina: DC10 - 1, DC15 - 2, DC20 - 3
Check: [d20:16]+6 → 3 token
Grab DC: 15
Check: [d20:18]+10, success
Check: [d20:1]+10, fail
Check: [d20:17]+10, success

Attempt 3: Dealla
Stamina: DC10 - 1, DC15 - 2, DC20 - 3
Check: [d20:4]+6 → 1 token
Grab DC: 15
Check: [d20:14]+10, success
From what Alan would notice is that Dee seemed to be perfect for this task, out of all the students who would attempt this challenge that day, she did the best out of all of them. She would manage to retrieve a total of five token, all looking like fish shaped pebbles, painted with colorful shades. They looked rather pretty.

As they moved on to do the puzzle, both Ravenclaws would attempt to solve it together as Alan waited for them.
DC: 20
avg. Wisdom: 9
Check: [d20:14]+9, success
The two of them would finish the puzzle quickly, so Alan handed Aurora a token; shaped like a puzzle piece it was made out of blue shimmering glass that felt smooth to the touch. "Good job you two, let's move on, we are nearly done," he explained cheerfully. It was easy to find the path with the puzzle solved, so they reached the next room in no time.

As the group would move on to the next room they would notice a water parkour, which would make Alan smile sheepishly. Perhaps he should have added to wear swim suits or comfortable clothing after all, but he had not thought about that in the moment he was writing the invitations. "You should be able to stay dry if you succeed, so don't worry! Just try to get to the other side, it's fun, really!" he chirped. There were a bunch of floating platforms across part of what appeared to be a corner of the great lake, specifically the safe area that was meant for swimming during the day. But smoke and fog would block off any sights beyond the part that was important for this task. On their path to the other side the students would see two platforms that had held the tokens, ready for grab. "You can only take one token from each platform and if you fall in that ends your turn," he explained, before allowing the students to attempt this task.
Mod Note:
You are faced with a water parkour, if you fall you can swim the distance; for those that cannot swim there are plenty of floaties and swim noodles to help you across. There are two check points for each person; to participate everyone will need to post, otherwise it is assumed you skip this challenge. Each check point results in a token, meaning a total of two tokens per participant. There will be three rolls with increasing DC, failing them means you fall into the water and have to swim your way across. The rolls are treated chronologically. This is the second last task you will have to compete in!

The water was pleasant, not exactly warm but not too cold to manage, and Dee grinned as she snatched two of the tokens from the pond's ground and resurfaced, bubbles of air rising around her face. She felt comfortable in the water, at home almost. Now if only it had been proper sea water... Still, better than the Lake, by far.

Her face broke through the water's surface just in time to hear Aurora's helpful advice, which had infectious, lighthearted giggles bubbling up in her throat, the quick diving adventure bringing out a carefree, almost giddy mood in her. "Noted, I won't!" she called, chucking the two tokens into the sand at Aurora's feet and then taking another deep breath to dive back down.

Eyes wide open in the water, strands of hair floating around her, she searched the ground for more of the colourful tokens. There was one... and there, another two. Air running low, she grabbed for them quickly before pushing herself back up, but in her haste, the second grab only yielded sand. Oh well, two more. This was a game more than anything, without direct competition to compare her performance to, she could just assume she was doing well. These two tokens landed in the sand as well before she made her third attempt.

Before she was even properly under water, Dee knew she had rushed into it. Only a quick gasp of breath before diving back down, it would limit the time she could spend searching. But there was still the token she had missed grabbing earlier, that one would have to do.

Snatching it easily, she returned to the air, then swam to the pool's edge with easy strokes, wading out of it with a bright smile on her face, not minding that her clothes were streaming water. It was summer, and they would dry, and she felt lighter than she had in weeks. Now this had been a great task. Much better than the silly questions about beasts or that stupid rope climbing challenge. She hoped the remaining ones would be as fun.

Handing the tokens to Aurora (if the girl would take them, otherwise she would put them into the pocket of her pants), Dee reached up to wring out her hair, and then made a pointless attempt at squeezing out some of the water from her shirt as well. The riddle was entertaining as well, and between her and Aurora, it was quickly solved.

Tokens reclaimed from the sand, they moved onto the next room, and Dee's face brightened even more at the sight of the parkour. This was fun, like a day spent with her friends in a Muggle water park. "Good thing I'm already wet," she noted, flicking water from her dripping hands at anyone near enough. Busy with diving, she hadn't heard Aurora's absolutely heart-wrenching story earlier, and so she continued onto this challenge unaware of the problem it might pose for her team member.

Water Parkour

Perhaps the chocolate fairy could read minds and wasn’t so good after all. Water is fun, as long as it’s not deeper than the girl’s entire height, and for the record, Aurora wasn’t advanced enough in jumping or any physical activities, that includes quidditch. Nothing that she did was a success. She didn’t even want to get wet and get the tokens herself and instead, relied on someone else to do the job for her. She wouldn’t even decipher the riddle if it were her alone. Dee on the other hand was so graceful. It was wrong to feel this way, but there was a slight envious feeling that started to creep in. I’m nothing compared to her.

“Oh, thanks.” The tokens that the Ravenclaw prefect had collected were given to Aurora, as well as the one from the chocolate boy, it was the moment that pulled her back to reality. “and congrats! You could be a mermaid!” She would give her a big smile and a little nudge on her wet arm. “IS THERE A SHARK IN THERE?” Aurora would shout the question to the fairy before actually doing the parkour. If there were any kind of water monster, she would just pass out right after she gave them a nice high five.

"Since some of your team doesn't seem to have followed us here, I will join this task so you aren't one person less... for fairness you know? And because this is my favourite task..." he explained impishly. He would however let both of the girls go first, wishing them luck as he watched.

Rolls: [3d20 : 5,7,3] + 11 = 16, 18, 14 → 2 token
Dee was going fast and she was doing well as she grabbed both of the tokens on her way to the end. They looked pretty, like shiny stones and they felt comfortable in her hand as the white reflected the light in the colours of the rainbow.

DC: 10, 15, 18
Rolls: [3d20 : 2,14,9] + 8 = 10, 22, 17 → 2 token
Despite all of her fears, Alan would reassure her that there were no monsters in the water. She... did okay. At first she nearly slipped but caught herself as she skidded across the floating platform. She would grab both of the tokens and by the end however, on her way to the shore, she just barely slipped off the platform and splashed into the water. A unicorn floatie was right there to grab onto and half of Alan wanted to believe that she had fallen on purpose just so that she could claim the unicorn platform to paddle to the shore. Now it was his turn and Alan hoped he wouldn't disappoint.

Note: Dee intervenes at the end / Alan falls
He would do great, just like it could have been expected. It would have been more embarrassing and odd to fail than to succeed. He had planned this task and therefore had to show off a little. He would run and grab two tokens as he quickly made it to the other side. And just as he was about to step onto the shore, he felt a shove to his shoulders shoulders. His instability still present, he would feel himself lose his footing as he crashed backward into the lake, the face of Dee being the last thing he saw before his eyes closed for impact as he disappeared below the surface. In an attempt to pull her with him, out of revenge, he would grasp for her but it was too slippery.

As he resurfaced he would glare at Dee, humored. "You are evil," he pointed out laughing as he pulled himself onto solid ground, shaking his head in disbelief. "For the record you pushed me, I would have made it if it wasn't for you!" he claimed, and he was right, but there was no way to prove this now. Alan didn't care, it had been fun! He shook his head, like a wet animal he caused droplets of water to fly, before he pushed back his bangs. "Alright let's get out of here," he chirped.

Now there was only one thing left to do, for all the students whether they were drenched in water now or not. Get out of here. The exit expanded at the roof and the ways to reach it were with climbing some trees to the top. They would find a wooden platform there, attached to it a slide or rope that would allow them to drop down and leave. It was mostly to create a fun exit of kind. Alan would go ahead, but stayed at the top in case any of the students needed assistance in getting out.
Mod Note:
Congrats, I hope you enjoyed the event! The last task is flavor, feel free to succeed and do well if you'd like. I will get back to you soon on who has won!

Grinning at Aurora's comment, Dee bobbed a slightly lopsided curtsy for the younger girl. "Why, thank you, I agree I'd make a great mermaid."

Which would certainly also be helpful for the next task, considering how much water was involved. She narrowed her eyes at Alan, pointing at the Gryffindor. "You're going to try harder for us than for the others, though, right?"

Before starting on the parkour, she offered Aurora her hand for a high five. "We got this! Pretty sure we're miles in the lead by now." For sure. Certainly. Absolutely not a random guess because she had no clue how others would be doing. "Let's bring it home, yeah?"

Her quick feet didn't fail her this time either, carrying her over the precarious path first to the first platform, where she quickly grabbed up a token, then to the second one. Confidence getting the better of her, she dipped her foot into the water on the last stretch, splashing it jauntily towards the shore. "See, it's easy!" she called back towards the other two - and then promptly missed the next step. With a short, high-pitched shriek, she slipped off the path and splashed into the lake water, doing her best to hold onto the smooth tokens.

She came up spluttering, strings of hair plastered across her face, then promptly started giggling. "I still passed the task though, right?" she shouted across the distance, then paddled away from the path to let Aurora make her attempt in peace. The girl seemed to be following in Dee's footsteps a little too closely - more or less safely making it across the platforms only to stumble and fall near the end.

"Good job," Dee called, giving her a thumbsup. She was still paddling around the lake, only slowly heading towards the shore. Wet was wet, and the water was pleasant enough.

Alan, however, seemed intent on showing both of them up. Dee's eyes narrowed as she watched the boy make his way across the parkour with grace. Show-off. Then, a mischievous grin spread on her face, and she dove below the floaties, hurrying towards where Alan would finish the parkour. Arriving just moments before him, she was just in time to give him a solid shove, making sure that he also got a nice little trip into the water, then slipped out of his grasp and backed away, laughing so hard she almost choked. "No proof of that!" she replied to his claim that he would have made it if not for her sabotage.

Dripping wet, Dee reached for her wand to dry off. A Hot-Air Charm 12 + 10 = 22, success made quick work of her wet clothes and hair, and she'd offer the same service to Aurora and Alan before heading to the indicated trees to get out. She wasn't the most experienced tree-climber, but they were generally easier to scale than the cliffs at home, so she made her way up eventually. Giving Alan and Aurora a last, cheerful wave, she slid away into the night.
