"Sounds like she was a free spirit," he replied, glad that the French girl felt secure enough with him to tell about her sister. "I've never had to lose anyone like that." Which was good in some ways, but also meant it was going to be harder when it did hit him. He never had a pet because his parents were always off and about and honestly, he wasn't even all that close with them. They were married to their work more than each other - more than their family. He spent the majority of his time with his grandmother and her house elf, Lissa.

"We should do something for her," he decided, glancing over to the girl. "Here at Hogwarts. She'll reach from one continent to the next. What do you think? We could plant some sort of flower or a tree. I'm sure there's something. How about an Easter Lily to remember the muggle traditions she liked? Then, you and I can have our own kind of Easter Egg hunt. We'll gather things and hide them for one another."

Maybe that seemed lamed to her, Miles didn't know. To him it sounded like a nice way to remember the girl. He'd like someone to do some kind of tribute for him after he was gone.

"I've even got some American money and candy that I could donate to the cause." Not that it was anything special, but it certainly would be something different than what the French girl was used to.

"She was" River sighed as she looked ahead, "It's hard, You enjoy every person, house elf and pet in your life, they don't live forever." that was her wisdom, everyone dies. When Miles talked about doing something for her lost sister River hugged him, she Hugged him! It took her a moment to realize that she had hugged him and awkwardly peeled herself off, smiling as her face went a little red, "I love the idea! She would love it!" River was way to happy, she felt like squealing and hopping around like a child who has just been told their going to Disney land.
She also wanted to hug him again, why did she want to hug him???
When he mentioned American money River was interested, she had never seen it,
"Oooh! What does it look like? Is it blue white and red like tour flag?" she asked, the question was kind of dumb but she had asked it anyway!
"We could plant all kinds of Flowers that she liked! Her favorite colour was Rouge Red, we should plant some Rouge flowers!" River was more then happy, chances are she would keep thinking about this until they did it, and then she would owl her family and tell them, she looked at Miles and smiled.

He wasn't expecting the first hug, or the third. Miles wasn't really too experienced when it came to things like girls but he placed an arm around her and was glad she was happy. Happier than she had been.

"Uh, we've grown accustom to using the American muggle currency, which is a bit dull if you ask me." Miles wouldn't be one to think he was prejudice about muggles because he grew up surrounded by everyone that had the same views as him, but he was. "They're all metal and not colorized, just copper and silver." No gold. "And they've got old muggle presidents on them, depicting them with weird wigs - most of 'em anyway."

He didn't realize why those of magic couldn't be superiror to the muggles, that they could be the ones leading American politics and currency, instead of hiding away in little towns that better suited their lifestyle. It was rather annoying, to say the least.

"Red flowers. We could maybe talk to the Herbology professor and see if the school has any in stock. We could do a whole garden out on the grounds, dedicated just to her." And if for some reason the professor didn't have any red ones, he would write to his grandmother who knew everything there was about growing plants and ask her to send him some seedlings via owl.

The idea that Miles had put out was still sinking into the French girl's brain, it was a great idea, but it was such a great idea that she needed time to let it sink in,
"A whole garden is great! I think your very smart! Are all Americans this smart? I mean I never thought about doing something like that! The Easter egg hunt! Your brilliant! Just brilliant! Wait till my parents hear about this! They'll love it! I bet they'll send over some of the rose seeding from Mabel's old Jardin! Which would be great!" River was way too happy, she guessed that she would be owling her mother and father tonight telling them of their plans to celebrate Mabel's life. She guessed that her family would be happier then her, River walked beside Miles for a while without talking, she was too lost in thought, too far into planning,
"I bet a herbology teacher would let us use some flowers! When should we start? We can't tonight because we have to stay clean, what about tomorrow? Do we have classes? I have not even checked! I bet the Pig-Fungus students do! It would make sense."
River sighed, she was not going to sleep much tonight!

He was glad to see her perked up and thought planting a whole area of red flowers sounded like a great idea. "Okay, here's the deal...you contact your parents, I'll contact my grandmum. I'll ask their Herbology teacher about the red flowers, and we'll get this planned turned into action."

There was the plan, now they needed the execution part of the plan.

"How about we meet out on the Grounds, on..." he paused to look at his wrist watch that showed the date as well as the time, "Sunday. You bring you'll supplies, I'll bring mine and we'll begin? Nine sound good?" 9AM. That would give them plenty of day to work on creating this.

"I'm going to start writing my letter to my grandmother tonight," he smiled to the girl. Miles loved a good project like he loved a good adventure. He was very adventure driven so he was glad to have this new idea to explore while at Hogwarts. At Hogwarts, he felt a little limited in what he could do. It wasn't like back at Ilvermorny where he knew all the professors and he knew how to push the limits. And he often pushed the limits, when it came to just recreational stuff within his school or academics and assignments.
