The Quaking Cleanse
The chaos transferred across the room, Howard's ire traveled towards a new target, and Erin typically embodied her smash 'em up nature at Howard's side. Though Thomas was in no position to intervene on the nameless boy's behalf. Preoccupied with the amalgamation of Ami's friend and Thomas' boss. The boggart approached the pair with unknown intentions, and Thomas was not keen on finding out if this proposed kiss had merit.
In fact, the word kiss alone was a trigger for Lestrange. Having been on the bitter end of a forceful seer, seemingly an expert of her craft, able to pinpoint the turn of a boy's head. Fortunately, Aunt Scott was enough of a distraction to deter his mind from such horrors. The image was likely next in line for the boggart fear generator.
Wand, Timmy. The butchering of his name appeared intentional at this point, and a topic to be addressed at a later date. For the moment, Ami was right. After the physically demanding task of helping Ami to her feet, a girl that might as well have been a linebacker, five star recruit to boot. Perhaps she had an access card to Ryan's gym, or resistance bands. Anyway, the clear task to prioritize was attaining his wand.
After the smoke dispersed, locating the mayhaw twig along the floor's surface did not prove such a difficult feat. Briefly leaving Ami's side, Thomas bolted towards the entrance where Howard disarmed him. In one motion, Thomas leaned towards the wall and retrieved the wand with his dominant left hand. Though the solution of one problem only provided another. The boy's second rate casting ability combined with a minimal spell vocabulary left him with few options.
If anything, he'd only delay the boggart's hunt. He was not aware if Ami was any better, but her status as a fourth year, at the very least, provided a wider array of spells to dispose of this fear starved mongrel. The boy eyed the wand cases atop the desk, though he could not detect which one belonged to Ami. In a hurried panic, he tapped the wooden cases individually[charmed to unlock this way], unlocking them one by one. Though unable to identify which wand belonged to who, and not possessing the time to ask.
Thomas grasped the first wand[rolled Ami first], containing a strand of cat hair with a chestnut finish. Fortunately for Ami, she was the priority target, and would receive her own wand. "Ami, catch!" The last words left his lips in unison with the toss[you can auto-catch or roll, up to you.]. Nameless boy would not prove so lucky[rolled Howard second], Thomas retrieved a wand with unicorn hair and a cedar finish. He tossed it in the nameless boy's direction. "Kid!" At least providing him with a way to defend himself from his pair of assailants.

The Quaking Cleanse
"Who the hell is Timmy? GET OUTTA HERE TIM!" Erin bellowed uselessly. She had better things to do than to babysit some rando that decided this was the perfect moment to chill with that deathwitch caretaker Mr. Paine. Even his name sounded evil.
Her knee shot up and hit flesh, then the pelvic floor. She hit him hard with the intent of taking him down with the cheap shot. She had no reason to pull punches. Not when it was obvious that this was a trap. A trap that LeStrange was not equipped to handle as he passed wands to his nameless ally and the token chick (Ami). Erin and Howard would be left to their own devices, defending themselves without aide beyond one another.
Howard and Erin were physical creatures anyways and Tom was going to be spending the week in traction when they were done with them. But first, they needed to get through this. "Howard!" his quarry had scrambled away and retrieved his wand."The desk! Help me with the desk!"
Known for residing in cabinets, wardrobes, and similarly dark places. The residence of the boggart was (and would not have been novel) the desk which was under lock and key. A key that Thomas had been provided. He knew that what was inside was alive. He knew what was there and there was not a single debate that would convince her otherwise.
"Out the window?!" A command as well as a question. They could evacuate the desk. She was strong, but not strong enough to lift the desk on her own. Perhaps with Howard's, now that she bothered to notice, sufficient physical form, their cooperation would be enough to lift the desk out the window. The window would not survive the incident, nor would the desk but in all frankness, screw the both of them. Submit a complaint about the mess they made being placed in a room without their wand, defenseless and exposed to a boggart. Between the two of them, a lot more explanations would ne needed for their actions than theirs in a state of distress, panic and danger.
With or without White's assistance she would approach the desk. If the boggart changed at all, it would simply go dark. It would become nothing. Not gone, an absence of anything was not the nothing we think of. The absence of everything is the void. A dark expanse of nothing. Of no light or sound. A place. A state. An existence. It drew in, like a black hole everything, leaving nothing at the heart. It was not destruction, in truth there was no end. Always there, always existing. Just nothing. A place she knew well, sleep was this. Unconsciousness was this. Nobody waited for her even if there were others there. She would never be able to reach out and touch. She could not speak to them. She could not hear them. A scream without sound. Tears without salty water. Her fear was simply a void.
A fear that if given actual form and power through the psychic power of these creatures would be a risk of its own. Destructive and deadly. There was no air there. There was no magic. No wands. Bodies had no form. There was no up or down. Nothing but existence and the passage of time that a marched onward, independent from substance and form she would realize long ago.
Hopefully, it stayed Aunty Scott. A few wet, whiskery smooches was easier to endure.
She would grip with intact or perhaps raw hands the edge of the desk and she would push hard, her heels digging into the floor and scraping across the surface as she tried to force the desk forward with an exertion of her insignificant body weight and her substantial might. The plan simple, push fast and hard. Crash. Overturn the desk and break through the window, flipping the desk over, using the sill as the axis to toss the furniture out the paned window.

The Quaking Cleanse
Fortunately for the nameless boy, having a high pain tolerance was one of his greatest strengths. Thus, despite Howard's relentless assault, once Erin called to the dhampir, the tan-skinned youth was able to take advantage of the distraction (presuming Howard heard and heeded Erin's call). Thomas and Ami were busy with their own attempts to right the situation; the former grabbing and throwing wands while the latter decided to tackle the boggart head-on. The dark-eyed student, though barely aware of their actions, found Ami's particular behavior to be both incredibly brave and incredibly stupid.
With a soft moan of pain, the imposter eventually managed to roll out of reach of Howard's vicious kicks and gingerly got to his feet. At Thomas' cry of, 'kid' (which just so happened to be extremely close to 'Kit'), the nameless boy glanced over and raised his hand to catch the stick of wood tossed his way.

He fumbled for a moment, but eventually grasped the wand. It was then he noticed it was unfamiliar - slightly longer than the one he was used to with cedar wood instead of acacia. However, as it was all he had, he tried to use it anyway.
Turning toward where Ami wrestled with the shapeshifting creature attempting to emulate her fears, the tan-skinned boy called, "Immobulus!" and made the twin-peak wand movement before aiming the magic at the boggart.

Perhaps it was due to the fact that both his and Howard's wand had unicorn hair cores in common, but miraculously, the spell worked.
From there, the young man limped (for his crotch was still sore from Erin's knee and his body still bruised from Howard's kicks) over to Ami and her now-paralyzed victim, groaning a little. He grabbed onto the caretaker's desk in an effort to support himself with it and leaned against the furniture while turning to address the others.
"...Alright, kids," he gasped with a pained smile. "Fun's over. Miss Ryan, nothing except air is going out that window today, thank you very much." He turned to Thomas, the corner of his grin twitching with annoyance. "Mr. Lestrange...what on Earth did you put in that bucket with water that's causing Mr. White's eyes to swell?"
While he waited for the others to get their bearings and to answer him, the false student bent to point his wand at the boggart once more, ignoring its strange cross of feared forms. "Reducio." Once it was shrunk sufficiently, he attempted to pick it up and stuff it back into the desk drawer before locking it with an audible click.

As Ami launched herself at the boggart, she heard Thomas's voice call out her name. Catch...? She craned her head to glance back towards the Slytherin prefect, finally realizing that he was attempting to return her wand to her. It wasn't like it was actually going to do anything, but the sentiment was nice. Reflexively, she reached her hand out to try and grab the wand out of the air. Doing two things at once, DC25: [d20:6] + 12 = 18 With a strangled gasp, however, the wand would brush against her fingers before spinning away and tumbling to the ground, and she would miss Aunty Scott entirely, hitting the ground in an undignified belly flop with a pained groan.
A spew of NSFW words and phrases tumbled out of her mouth as she rolled over onto her back, clutching at her abdomen. Pain index, 1-10: [d:10:3]. -150 HP. Luckily, her hands had helped to break her fall quite a bit, but the impact was still jarring. Through the pain, she managed to hear something about the defenestration of a desk, which was slightly alarming, as well as a bellowed spell from the nameless boy. Aunty Scott froze, and everything else in the room seemed to pause. Or maybe that was just through Ami's semi-warped perception. Still groaning slightly in pain, she desperately tried to focus on the nameless boy's words. Perception/processing: [d20:20]+6=26 Through the throbbing discomfort, she was still able to process exactly what the nameless boy was saying, listening to his words intently. You could practically hear the gears in her head turning as she slowly pieced together the context clues from the day's happenings.
Slowly struggling to her feet, Ami scrambled for her wand before backpedaling as far away from Kit as she could. "He's- you're-" she gasped, waving her wand willy-nilly in Kit's direction. "Who are you?" Kids. That had been the word that had triggered an avalanche of questions in her mind, and finally, she had managed to reach the conclusion Erin had reached much earlier. "You're not a student," she said definitively, glancing at the other three students briefly as her chest continued to rise and fall rapidly. "Tim- Thomas, why is he here? Why are you here?!" The tip of her wand was now pointed directly at Kit's face, although with her hand still shaking from the adrenaline coursing through her body, it was less threatening than it was pathetic.
The stress of everything that had happened in such a short amount of time was making her brain short-circuit. There were still tear stains on her face from her experience with Scott (hoo boy, what a load to unpack there), her chest was aching from her impact with the ground, and now with this sus imposter standing in front of her, all Ami wanted to do was break down into tears. It was written all over her face, too, the proud and cheery Quidditch captain seemingly broken. Her detention with Lear had seemed extreme and unorthodox, but at least she hadn't had to face her biggest fear- no, only some smaller and milder fears that had manifested in silly way. Such an ordeal had taken an extreme toll on the fourth year's wellbeing, both mental and emotional, and she felt exhausted. But she was not leaving until she got some answers.

The room continued to explode with chaos as Howard lashed out at the nameless boy. What had started as an emotional outburst had quickly turned to rage as he pummeled the boy beneath his feet. Some may have shied away from the embarrassment of crying in front of their peers, but he would embrace it and use it to fuel his anger. Although he was furious with the bug he was currently squashing under boot, a part of him would later be thankful. Howard's rage was both his shield and weapon that served to protect him from others and from his own feelings. He did his best to conform to societal pressures. To fit in and play the part, but as he lashed out he would feel his one true desire...power. As the the rage spewed out of him like a volcanic eruption in its place would come the ecstasy. Life had made him strong, his transformation had made him even stronger. The sense of domination and control flooded through his veins as the boot of his heel crunched against the boy below. It was like water to someone dying of thirst as he reveled in the sensation. The shield was tempered, the blade sharpened. He raised his boot for another strike.
HOWARD!
Erin would shout his name and distract him from another crushing blow. The little roach below would scurry away. "WHAT!!" He bellowed back. "Fuck the desk!" Howard first refused her as his swollen eyes scanned the room for his prey, but there would be no hope of finding the target. If he could not release his anger on the boy, property would be second best. "FINE!" Out the window it would be. He relied on his hearing to make his way towards Erin and the soon to be flying furniture. Claws would dig into wood as he too gripped the desk and combined his strength with Erin's. For once their raw power would not be used against each other, but towards a common goal (I can't help but picture the Bash Brothers from Mighty Ducks 2!
) It would take a lot more than a stern warning from the little pip squeak to pull them away from their path of destruction.

Amidst panicked shouts of every name starting with the letter T besides Thomas, Howard and Erin attempted to grip either side of the caretaker’s desk, effectively tossing it through the window. With the combined strength of Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger…
Nameless Boy revealed himself to be none other than the school’s caretaker, Kit Paine. Catching the wand in stride and immobilizing the boggart with ease. Scotty Petunia frozen in place for the onlooking students to gaze towards in horror. Procoppio seemingly incapable to process the visual of metamorph reverting into original form. Swiftly raising her wand in unison with a series of panicked questions for Lestrange. ”STOP YELLING.” Thomas clapped back at the Hufflepuff’s series of shouts that traveled into his ear, rattling him to the core.
”I DON’T KNOW WHO OR WHY IS HERE, JUST SHUT UP FOR A SECOND.” Thomas unleashed the remaining oxygen left in his tank, the typical be calm so I can be calm retort. As Kit Paine confidently revealed his form, narrowing his eyes at Thomas in unison with tending to a bruised crotch area. Ew.
Addressing the troubled students in unison with the incantation to contain the boggart(multiple actions permitted due to adult status). The blame first shifted towards Thomas. Howard’s eyes having grown puffy from the ivy, Erin may have also felt impending itches begging for relief. Thomas pressed his lips together in a though provoking stare towards the tampered bucket of water…What are cleaning products called again…was it Morton salt, err..”Uhm, bleach, sir. Just bleach and water.” The boy nodded in confidence. This was going to end so well.

Erin was not one to back down. Not one to trust. Why should she when everyone lied? She would not heed Kit's words, the words of a stranger who was not who he said he was. Stranger who even if he now had the caretaker's voice but not his form was not a prankster because the 'prank' went too far the moment wands were taken and a key was offered to open the door of a boggart. Even if he was uninvolved with the urushiol that laced her water that caused her hands to blister and Howard's eyes to swell.
Their power combined, it was an elementary task hurling that desk out the window, allowing the glass to break and the wooden panes to snap and yield under its weight. For the heavy piece of potentially expensive, antique furniture to fall and to ultimately crash on the ground with a storm of falling glass. Indeed, it was likely that the Caretaker's desk was destroyed, the home of the boggart ruined.
Relief. The boggarts domicile has been destroyed, hurrah! There was no time to celebrate -- there were death witches and Tim-Toms to murder. Had the changeling been in her right mind, this moment might have held greater significance to the part-Veela. Had Howard been able to see anything but the color red, then perhaps he might have seen something more than rivals at this moment. That they could be powerful allies, a symbiosis possible. Something for former creature that resided in this skin suit could see but not the one blinded by madness.
"Bullshit," Erin muttered as she rubbed the backs of her hands with her palms. She would snap off a piece of glass that stubbornly remained attached to the shattered window pane. "The imposter and the liar," Kit Paine and Thomas LeStrange. She did not need a wand because she had a knife, at least that was how she saw it. A shard of glass in her hand, long enough to cut, to hurt and yes to kill.
"There was a lesson to be learned here -- never give up your wand," of course she did not have one, with her at least. A wand was about as useful as a personality was to Thomas, they would never use them anyways. "I can thank Mr. Paine for the life lesson, don't trust the Professors, the adults. Their word is not law, my trust is not theirs." They simply validated her paranoia, in a matter of months she would struggle to put together sentences. She would lose her sense of self, her already fragile grip on reality.
She learned that death witches were weak to being punched in the dick. "You took their defense," she looked at Thomas and Paine both. "Defenseless, there is the implied promise of protection," which they sorely failed to provide. No, actively worked against it. "And there is knowledge of what is here, and fuck you Thomas. Fuck you... you incompetent death witch Mr. Paine!" She shouted at the pair of sadists, not friends. That was before she realized the taint of her wash bucket. The redness, more like this blotchiness had started to form on her hands. An incessant want to itch she was still able to ignore. "He got the key from you," Mr. Paine. "He directed Howard for a purpose," Thomas in this case, "to feed, he... no, the both of you had to know something was there." They had a key for a reason, they were here to see it all come to pass. They knew and they left them unarmed and defenseless in the presence of what they feared. For what? Curiosity. Some sick pathetic game. To punish them by being worse than they were...

The Quaking Cleanse
The metamorph had not yet made any changes due to several reasons. One was that he didn't want to provide any more of a shock than the boggart already had, so he chose to first only use his choice of words to indicate he was taking charge of the situation and the people involved. (Another reason was, since he was wearing student clothes, his 6'3" natural form would have been much too large for the garments and could have ended up ripping them.) Thus, he chose to remain in the nameless student's form for the time being.
Unfortuneately, that didn't seem to reduce the effect on the sharp-minded students who rapidly picked up on the nature of the imposter. Erin, paranoid as she was, had surely been suspicious all along, but Ami seemed downright shaken. Howard seemed too angry and busy to care, too intent on the removal of the boggart-encasing desk from the room to react to Kit's comments. And Thomas...well, after a fair bit of yelling to stop yelling, he seemed to catch on pretty quickly, addressing Kit as 'sir'. Of course, that only made it look like he had known Kit's identity all along which, it seemed, was a notion that the others had become suspicious of.
The boy sighed deeply and turned to Ami, concern for her mental state shining in his dark brown eyes while she began to ask question after question following a flood of profanities. "Miss Procoppio, please. Have a seat," he pleaded, delicately shifting away the point of her wand from his face with a precise movement of his index finger. "You look unwell. I'm sorry; I didn't realize my pet would have such a profound effect on you." His pained smile became wry. "And you're right; I'm not a student. I'm here because this is my office and I'm the caretaker. I'm a metamorphmagus, you see."
He grabbed a chair for the girl to sit on and manuvered it behind her in the hopes that she would take a seat as he had suggested. The sound and perpheral sight of his desk disappearing out the window through the combined efforts of Erin and Howard in the meantime were met with another deep sigh. Kit's eyes closed and he chuckled softly under his breath. What a mess. He could have 'Accio'ed the desk back, he supposed, but that could have caused a number of other problems. And at that moment it was probably best that the boggart encased inside the desk remained as far away from them all as possible just then while they were still recovering from its terrors. Thus, he decided to leave it wherever it had fallen.
"I guess my desk counts as 'air' today, then..." he muttered softly to himself under his breath.
Limping over to the doorframe, he leaned against it while taking in the whole of the newly-ruined room from his new perspective, including the gaping hole in the wall made by the heavy desk having been pushed through the now-broken window. Dark eyes examined the contaminated water still drenching the floor. "...bleach and water, huh, Mr. Lestrange?" he chortled humorlessly. "...right. Well, I guess we'll see what Nurse Brumby has to say about that in due time. Especially since I fell in the mess myself." He was still horribly unhappy about that since getting wet was one of his pet peeves - even worse than having been repeatedly kicked in the side and kneed in the crotch - but at least he had a change of clothes just beyond the folding screen. Besides, it wouldn't do to have let the students realize they had gotten to him in such a way.
He longed to go slip behind his changing screen and return to his former self and adult clothes, but he dreaded of taking his eyes off the students for even a fraction of a second; particularly while they were in such delicate states of mind. So, instead, he waited and listened, slipping Howard's wand inside his robe pocket as Erin spoke her piece. The look with which he fixed her was one of the deepest pity as he silently shook his head.
"My actions have nothing to do with the actions of adults as a whole," he protested softly, though he guessed the statement would fall on deaf ears. "Nor did they have anything to do with Mr. Lestrange, who wasn't aware I was playing a student until just now. And who wasn't aware what I was keeping in my desk." He eyed the red rash starting to form on Erin's pale skin and, though it was a little harder to tell on his darker complexion, his own as well. It was starting to itch and he didn't like it but that wasn't what was most important just then.
"All Mr. Lestrange knew was that I had some pets to feed and where I kept one. He didn't know what they were or what they ate." He blinked slowly at Erin, meeting her lovely, part-veela gaze. "I take full responsibility for what happened with the boggart and for what it's worth, I'm sorry. But I think I learned a great deal about you all today. You and how you behave in the face of danger."
