Dealla let her wand sink, feeling dazed. The creature was destroyed, danger averted (was it?), sliced into several pieces first by Peri and her, and then by Vladimir, too, as if the older boy had wanted to make sure it was really, really dead. Her purpose was filled, and with it went the energy that had been driving her forward, leaving her feeling lost. Thomas and Professor Fresnel were bringing Callie out of the forest, and while she looked to be in bad shape, as long as she lived, she could be fixed. Hell, obviously magic could keep things alive that weren't supposed to be alive - or something resembling it - such as Victor Moore. Callie shouldn't be that difficult, right? Right?
Her gaze wandered around a little aimlessly, then got stuck on Vladimir. Had Professor Iwasaki offered to help him? That was good, she supposed, her thoughts a little numb. It would feel wrong for him to die after all of this. Perhaps she could talk to him at some point. They had helped him today, after all, hadn't they? What if he'd been alone with that centipede? And while Professor Iwasaki hadn't rescued them, at least he was here to pick up the pieces. It was better than nothing.
Her thoughts had been running by like a distant stream, more noise than consciousness, busy trying to catch up to what had happened. Peri's voice, familiar and comforting, pulled her back to attention, and she blinked at him for a moment, disoriented. "Hmm?" she made, slowly, then looked down at her still bleeding arm. At least her tears had ceased, but she wondered why she felt so cold. It was summer. "Ah. Yes, please, thank you."
Closing her eyes for a moment, Dee thought back to their last forest adventure. At least she'd been useful this time, had been able to help. At least she was still standing.

The Lady of the Wood
Looking between Professor Fresnel, Bloom, and Callie, the Ravenclaw had to work hard to resist the instinct he held to try and stay close, his desire to help battling with the undeniable truth that his friend’s condition was his fault. "Please don’t let her die," Thomas managed after a period of silence, voice still shaky and unsure as he spoke to the upperclassman and teacher helping Callie now. The unmistakable expression of guilt was plain on his face—up until now, the consequences of his actions had never particularly struck close to home. Shoving his wand in his pocket, Thomas was afraid of his capacity to do great harm. All he wanted to do was help the friend who was in such danger, and yet it was Thomas who proved to be the greatest danger of all. A bad luck charm at best, unintentionally malicious at worst.
Self-loathing came crashing down on the boy like a tidal wave. He was just thirteen, these sorts of emotions were far too grown up for him to be experiencing. Far too heavy for anyone to bear, really, but especially not someone who just came of age to be playing Super Smash Bros, Brawl (rated T for Teen). "I’m sorry, I-I didn’t mean to… It’s my fault, I’m sorry," Thomas mumbled, wiping the tears away frantically as if they weren’t flowing freely and without restraint. Callie couldn’t hear him, who was he apologizing to? Surely not himself, he deserved the suffocating sensation in his chest.
No, Thomas didn’t deserve Callie’s forgiveness anyways. Apologies were futile, who would let something like this go?! Thomas had practically killed her, unintentional or not. He didn’t deserve her friendship at this point. Who would want someone like him by their side, someone so painfully incompetent?! Someone who hurt people when all he was trying to do was help?! Remembering past failures, Thomas bitterly noted that perhaps he ought not to burden anyone with his camaraderie. In this moment, however, the least he could do was avoid casting spells, and make use of the agility he had to make things marginally better…
"God…" Thomas took a few steps away from Callie’s crumpled form, turning to look at the likes of his peers. Wand stowed away, the young Ravenclaw held his hands out in some feeble attempt at defense, planning on doing his all and facing his fear head on. If he couldn’t protect others with his spells—a conclusion that was perfectly rational all things considered—Thomas would do everything he could to at least intercept threats that came their way. Tears still flowed freely down his cheeks, but his hands and robes were soaked with the blood of his friend, and no amount of guilt or fear would keep him from standing in firm defense. "I’ve… I’ve got your back, for real this time," Thomas muttered, the first statement he seemed sure of in quite awhile.

Marcus was not a healer - in fact, he cast a look over his shoulder to find the Charms professor and see if she had stabilized Callie yet. However, it seemed she was still lingering by the girl and working on her. If ever he had really longed to hear the sound of Caradoc Browne's voice, now would be the time. That man was a healer through and through, and his assistance would be excellent right about now, but he had taken off for the village of Hogsmeade with the Koldovstoretz school earlier that morning. The Head of Ravenclaw got his wand out of the holster he had and aimed it at the bandaged boy in front of him. The sentiment in his statement - that he was dangerous - hit a nerve.Interacting: @Bloom Silverton, @Vladimir Athanatos, shouting to all the Ravenclaws

"We don't leave people behind for being dangerous. If that was the case, I wouldn't be here," Marcus said, his eyes glinting slightly in the fire of the forest behind Vladimir. He was thinking back to when he had been infected by the hags last summer during the professor trek into the dungeons. He had not been left behind, and neither had Caradoc when he was mind controlled by the creatures to turn on his colleagues. Marcus thought even further back to being described as dangerous by his own family, after being infected with lycanthropy. The kid standing in front of him was clearly infected by something, but that didn't mean he would be left behind. The man grit his teeth and prepared to cast.
But the sound of another student's voice asking what she could do to help made Marcus hesitate for just a split second before casting. "Miss Silverton, you know healing spells, don't you? Aid me," he said, gesturing to Vladimir. Maybe with two people working on him, the result would be positive even if Marcus' casting was not up to par. Now that he thought about it, they had a whole flock of students to rely on.
"Anyone who is standing and able," he called out, casting his amber eyes over the students. "If you know healing spells, assist me and cast what you know on Vladimir! If not, head back to the campgrounds and stay there! Help each other get to the nurse! We won't be far behind!" he shouted, the "we" being himself and whoever else would stay to assist with Vladimir and Callie. The goal was to use the healing spells to close Vladimir's wounds and hopefully stop him from leaking more spiders, so they could safely bring him back to camp with the rest of them.
"Vulnera Sanentur, Vulnera Sanentur, Vulnera Sanentur."
TL;DR: Casting and requesting assistance from anyone who knows healing spells and hasn't used an action to aid Vladimir because he needs all the healing he can get. Telling anyone else to head back to camp.

There seemed to be help in need. Seeing her Head of House gesturing towards Vladimir, the reason we are all in this mess. If he did not run into the woods in the first place, none of this would have happened. His point, he did not even know. But it looked as though it backfired because he was the one who needed help in healing him back to stable health. Nodding, Bloom followed Professor Iwasaki towards Vladimir.
Before jumping in, she waited for Professor Iwasaki to start. There were many healing spells but she only knew two and the one that was being said was not on her list of knowing. She knew minor healing spells and it seemed that the spells that were needed were bigger and grand. Which made sense considering how intense the injury was. A minor spell like Episky wasn't going to cut it. However, it was worth the try.
Bloom took out her wand and went towards Vladimir, a little closer than the Professor. She then made a wand movement and repeated over and over again the healing charm, Episky.
"Episky," she calmly said, focusing as much as she could to keep the charm going. She hoped that with her "skills", she was able to help as best as she could. As an incoming fifth year, she did not have as many stronger spells to manage.

As Zoë arrived at Callie, she heard the apologies from the young Bloom but Zoë quickly shook her head dismissively. “No need to apologize, love. You did well, see if-” Before Zoë could continue, the girl was already scampering off, presumably to help other students. But Zoë couldn’t dwell on it for too long, she still had the unconscious Callie to contend with. She wasn’t about to let the child’s situation worsen.
She was able to quickly cast Vulnera Sanetur over the girl. Repeating the incantation three times the familiar spell was cast successfully. However, the girl’s situation did not seem to be improving from the spell. There remained a coat of blood and the girl remained unconscious. It was a disconcerting situation and Zoë began to wonder how truly dire the situation might be. The girl looked in rough shape and the castle was still quite a distance away if more intensive healing was needed.
While taking a moment to assess the girl, Zoë felt her head suddenly become light and hazy. Focused on the student, Zoë had tried to force her own injuries out of her mind but that didn’t negate them. The blood that continued to stream down her body was slowly draining her. The pain pulsing throughout her body was also beginning to distract her but she still knew that she couldn’t dwell on the ailments. As painful as it was, Zoë didn’t feel as though she was in dire need of aid...at least yet.
“Stay with me,” Zoë mumbled quietly to the girl. She thought quickly about her next move. While her first healing spell had been successful in its casting, it hadn’t completely corrected the situation. Episkey seemed like a possibility but she wasn’t sure if the charm would have been any more effective than her first casting. Her jaw clenched, knowing that she couldn’t just sit there thinking. She needed to act.
Shaking the doubt and nervousness from her mind, Zoë decided she would attack one ailment at a time. The girl’s lack of consciousness seemed immediately problematic and reviving her might allow Zoë some better indication of where the girl was hurting. Or perhaps, if the wounds were not as grave as they seemed, the girl might even be able to assist in basic healing. But one step at a time. Zoë still needed to revive the girl.
Placing her wand gently on Callie’s chest, Zoë inhaled softly. “Rennervate,” Zoë said softly, ensuring her mind remained solely focused on imbuing consciousness into the girl. Zoë could feel her heart pounding and knew that there were other students hurting and in need, but she couldn’t be everywhere. She desperately wished that more staff had been around to help. If something tragic were to...No, she wouldn’t entertain the thought. Forcing the pain, doubt, and haze away, Zoë held her focus on the spell casting.
Action: Attempting to perform the Reviving Spell on Callie.

You have a reduced critical failure chance range by 1. In addition, you can counter up to 1 point of additional critical failure chances caused by abilities or spells (not potions). In other words, if you have an extended critical failure chance range (as is the case with certain races, the effect of certain spells or potions), this reduces that range by 1. So if you have a +2 critical failure chance range (meaning if you roll a 1,2, or a 3 you critically fail), this ability makes it a +1 critical range instead (meaning if you roll a 1 or a 2 you critically fail).

Zoë Fresnel, Thomas Banes & Callie Jensen
In the wake of madness most of the Ravenclaws still stood even if they were a bit battered, a bit jarred. Callie was unconscious, the Professor did what she could in her haste to stabilize the beaten young woman, covered in scrapes and bruises. She was bleeding internally, concussed and had several broken bones. The woods had sprung back to life as the blue flames died out, reaching and lashing, quivering and striking. The light was the enemy of the forbidden forest as it had taken on a dark life of its own and would have taken those three student's lives had they stubbornly remained in the forbidden wood.
Professor of Charm @Zoë Fresnel had perhaps stabilized the dying youth but she remained vulnerable and as long as Thomas Baines had a wand, in mortal peril. "Rennervate," the Professor uttered as she attempted to imbue the girl with consciousness. A flush would come over Callie Jensen, a hint of color to pallid features. She would sputter back to life.

Vladimir simply stood there, frozen in place his body tense from anxiety and pain. "I'll be fine," he muttered but he did not protest. He just tried to not look anyone in the eye, focus on the ground, back on the thrashing trees. He never removed the bit of porcelain that had embedded itself into his flesh before the bandages were applied. He could feel the invasive shards continue to cut as he moved. Don't react. Don't complain. Let them feel satisfied. Lie. Appreciate and approve. He knew what he needed to do, what he needed to say - the grace and the gracious behaviors that were expected of someone that was not necessarily innocent but at the very least left alone.
Mr. Iwasaski would make a kind platitude that Vladimir did not really trust. That he would not be left behind. He saw his position as precarious at best, his existence ensured by his physical power and endurance. He understood fear, persistent noncompliance and intrusion. Of course Vladimir was a child himself in spite of his size, his experiences and his manner. He knew nothing of @Marcus Iwasaki's journey, that of all the people here he was likely the best to understand. A mentor, a guide, just a bit too late.
He would encourage healing from those willing, those bored, those that wanted to give the appearance of benevolence.
"Vulnera Sanentur, Vulnera Sanentur, Vulnera Sanentur."
The song-like incantation would be announced and the head of Ravenclaw's wand would trace the numerous wounds that pocked his chest. Indeed, Vladimir's flesh would mend beneath those bandages, sealing around the embedded shrapnel still bound to his chest. "I should be somewhere else," he muttered uncomfortably but knew better than to swat the man's efforts away. He should be where he had intended, alone in the sun. Let the shadows burn as they escaped his gaping wounds and he tended his injuries away from collateral damages, additional victims. Not that he would listen any more than the rest of Ravenclaw... not that he would be blamed any less for the injuries suffered by their ignorance.
"Episky," @Bloom Silverton would contribute. A collective effort to heal, he counted his breaths and simply waited for the time to pass. Enough time while Marcus sang his song of recovery and he waited a few moments for whatever unseen effect Bloom's charm might have had on him.
"I think I am completely healed," Vladimir lied. "I-I thank you both," he announced quietly, his body still in the same stiff pose. In truth, he probably was as close as one can be when the impaling articles were still embedded in ones flesh and could not be properly evacuated due to the thick voluminous layer of bandages that bound the porcelain to his flesh. The truth was rather simple, obvious even for those that knew the boy's journey, among the plethora of trust issues he had developed over the years the truth of the matter was he was a liability. His blood was a lethal weapon and if he reminded them of his hidden injuries, he would be pacing others at risk yet again.
So he just lied.

Yet her suffering would not go unnoticed. @Pericles Dralt would offer @Dealla Prince first aide. it was nothing lavish, in fact slightly rugged if not crude, a departure from the Prefect's proper appearance - a torn sleeve would become a makeshift bandage.
A piece of bloodied porcelain would be plucked from her wound, the bit of sharpened material serves as a sort of cork. When he pulled the bloodied bit free, a stream of ruby red blood would trickle from the raw wound. The air would sting but the sharpness would recede as the sleeve covered over the wound and he knotted the compressive bandage over the injury. A warm throb could be felt but only when she thought about it.

The moral of the story, magic sucks!
Her spell experimentation did not go so well, not to her, not to the muscular redhead, causing both of them to trip and hurt themselves even more. Aurora swore she blacked out for a second then, her head hurt, the entirety of her being was sore as hell. If only she could lay back and sleep right there without having to worry about the safety of the others and herself, she would. "W-winnie, I'm sorry, again"
Aurora was bad news. The intention was good, she wanted to help so badly, even though her action caused more damage than good. If Winnie still wants to be her friend after this, bless her heart and soul for being so kind and patient. In a video game, the girl would be the toughest challenge to handle. The ache in her skull combined with the immense fear that once again she will feel the hollow of being lonely, that once again she will lose a friend. Was it the fall or the tears, both of her eyes were blurry. As if all of the traffic stopped at once, all the cars were honking at each other, but it was her telling her she was not good enough. Emotions come and go, some stay short term, while the other stays longer. This was the kind of feeling that would stay for eternity. All she did for as long as she breathed was being a dissapointment to the others around. A parasite. She’d usually put everything in a box, hid it under her bed, and deal with it another day, but seeing her friend battered and bloodied because of something that she did, not once, but twice, put her off the edge. The only visual image she could picture was Winnie screamed at her and walked away, never going to look at her the same way again. "Don't give up on me yet, please, I swear I will be better, I'm sorry." The girl would mutter that sentence over and over again as her hand shakily tried to remove the cursed blindfold that wasn’t intended for the eyes.

Vladimir was reduced to a sobbing mess, his injuries of the flesh irrelevant. His animus remained. Dolor permeated the deepest and most private parts of his being. The reason for his pain would most likely go ignored, their personal demands for compliance and inclusion. The healing would not come (no post) and he would not demand it. A muttered gramercy, he did not meet anyone in the eye.
An awkward silence would follow (no posting by anyone besides Aurora). He should not have expected small-talk. No accolades from then and no apologies from them. "Relieved that nobody died," he muttered as his soles scuffed the ground. The bandages made it hard for him to breathe, the words would come out with a harshness and a wheeze. His left arm over the bandages, he would trace the perimeter with his fingertips. Wound heal, the monsters that would escape would be squashed underfoot.
Away from the main chaos, Winnie and Aurora were... well, themselves. Aurora would relieve her burly savior her blindfold. Their discourse between them, out of the hearing range and perhaps entirely or almost entirely out of sight as they fled. Perhaps they would see Vladimir, the boy was taller than most, walk away. He walked away alone, he had no friends or allies among his contemporaries. He had killed, again, his best and only friend. The delusion no more. He was alone.

Mentions Aurora, Winnie, Marcus, Vladimir, and any stray Ravenclaws looking for an outDee was dazed, distant, entirely apart from the fiery and attentive witch Pericles knew. A comforting smile was attempted, but it was thin, with little heart behind it, drawn taught by psychological strain. With her go-ahead, he swiftly set about removing the shrapnel. Emotion bled from his face as the "unplugged cork" effect sent red dribbling down her arm. The empty look in his eye implied him elsewhere, checking out from the reality of what he was seeing, instead scouring the pages of a survivalism book in his mind so to turn the torn-up fabric into a makeshift bandage. The methodical process of weaving a knot was soothing in its simplicity. For a brief time he could look away from the smoking remnants of the cursed woods, the mutilated remains of a monstrous centipede, the battered body of Callie Jensen, peers wounded and weeping, the mystery of a broken doll body, and the yawning darkness of the Forbidden Forest that seemed so desperate to swallow them all. The brown bit of cloth was secured with precision, binding Dealla's wound. "There." He patted her with gentle finality, then wiped his palms on the grass, trying to blot out the way crimson glared against his pale hands. One problem down... how many more left to remedy?
It was enough to overwhelm an adult, let alone a mere teenager. Thankfully, Professor Iwasaki's booming voice projected a perfectly clear objective amid the chaos: help with healing, or get everyone back to the camp and to the nurse. Peri's stare swiveled about the scenario, trying to objectively pick apart what remained. Professor Fresnel had just revived Callie. Aurora and Winnie had halfway fled before facing their own... complications. Vladimir was once again free to drift, unstopped, from the scene of something horrific. A number of birds stood on the sidelines, dazed, confused, perhaps torn over their next course of action. It was the work of prefects to turn the head-of-house's directions into action. Turning to Dee and Syl at his side, Peri murmured, "We need to take them home. Dee?" Trying to anchor the captain, to bring her back from that drifting abyss. "Could you check on Aurora and Winnie? I'll fetch Tom and Callie." Putting the wounded Dee away from the forest, while suggesting a task she could set herself to, tying off his words with another try at a reassuring smile for both of them. Peri promptly took off, beelining for the duo of duellists.
"I'll take them from here, Professor." The boy had trotted up alongside Zoë and aimed at freeing up the adult to go aid the other grownup. "Tom...?" His goal was for the two of them to stand alongside Callie, hoisting her up beneath the shoulders, unless she was in further need of on-the-spot healing before she could be moved. Pericles would call out to any other eagles along the way, bidding them to help or follow, to keep close. Keep moving, mind your responsibility as a prefect, help them out, get this over with. He would remain goal-oriented and on-task until the last Ravenclaw made it back from the woods. The empathetic overload would hit him later, where he could have a good cry alone in the showers, followed by a warm existential crisis in the Thestral Cabin bunk. Get out. Get home. Help who you can along the way.
