It would seem as if Lady Luck looking down upon the determined Gryffindor Team this fine game day, her hand seemingly blocking the golden and black opposition’s attempts on the steadfast chaser-seeker duo that was Evelynn and Anastasia. However, the Captain would do well not to get cocky. The Lions certainly had the advantage on the snitch game, but when it came to muscle, there was little to oppose the raw power and might that were the Hufflepuff Captains. They would just have to hope for the best, then, and continue with the plan – “Knock on wood,” the young man muttered to himself, eyes tracing the progression of his teammates in the air. “Come on, guys, push – “

Interception ReducioWhen a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This put the quaffle in your and by extension you teams' possession.
Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect.Catch ReducioAble to catch two falling players on your broom when playing Quidditch. These additional caught players would be brought to the ground safely and they would be allowed to retrieve their broom and enter play again the next round. This can be done every round as the player's action if they choose to do so.
With brooms that have the feature where an additional player may be caught (such as Bluebottle) where there is a stackable chance of failure with each additional person caught, there is no stacking failure chance for players with this ability.Perfectionist ReducioYou have a reduced critical failure chance range by 1. In addition, you can counter up to 1 point of additional critical failure chances caused by abilities or spells (not potions). In other words, if you have an extended critical failure chance range (as is the case with certain races, the effect of certain spells or potions), this reduces that range by 1. So if you have a +2 critical failure chance range (meaning if you roll a 1,2, or a 3 you critically fail), this ability makes it a +1 critical range instead (meaning if you roll a 1 or a 2 you critically fail).

More blatching, though less than before. Suzuki watched as different players left their job to take laps around the field. More goals were scored, but the snitch had not yet been seeked, and the match seemed to be at a sort of standstill.
Suzuki took aim at a bludger, and whacked it straight at Howard, hitting him squarely. However, the hit didn't seem to be hard enough, as the Hufflepuff still managed to cling to his broom, looking slightly pissed.

Akari's grasp tightened around her broom handle, her eyes narrowed slightly, honing in on the ending point and her lips pursed together in concentration as she finally grew closer and closer to completing the lap, all the while trying her utmost to reach the highest speed possible so she could jump back into the rest of the action.
Upon reaching the finish line, a small inhale to ready herself for whatever came next was taken, though not for long as then at the same rapid speed, the keeper descended back into the battle, the excitement never ceasing to flow through her.[font= garamond]Position: First String KeeperAction: Finishing Penalty Lap & Doing as Stratigized

Stunning Banner by Winnie HarperIn general, the intensity of a sport is best felt upon participation in said sport. For all the passion, and all the grandiose displays of devotion that a faithful fan might put forth in the name of their favored team or individual, one indisputable fact remained: the disparity between a player and an observer was vast.
From the countless hours of preparation an athlete endured prior to competition, to the triumphant satisfaction of a win, or the crushing disappointment of a loss, players were simply different. More pure was their love for the game, and their appreciation for every nuance therein. Something a fan might dismiss without second thought would stick in a player's mind for weeks, months, even years, pushing them to do better, or reminding them why all the pain was worth it.
Stranded on the sidelines, Marshal yearned for the purity of participation. His heart beat with every drum of a Beater's club, and soared with every dip of a Chaser's broom.
And yet, here he stood; marooned. Stuck on the bench. And like a castaway on a deserted island, gazing over the great expanse of the sea, he knew exactly where he wanted to go, yet had no conceivable way to get there.

Quinn narrowed his eyes. Things weren't going as planned, not nearly so. It was infuriating but also incredibly exciting. It really got his blood flowing and mind racing. Adapting and changing strategies on the fly this is what he played the sport for. He'd continue playing his part and encouraging his team the best way he could. He just really hoped that they would have enough time to pull this whole damned thing off.

The game was definitely keeping him on the edge of his seat. Hufflepuff was certainly strong but Gryffindor had a tenacity they kept them going no matter how tough the going got. The game was still anyone’s and at any moment one big play could change everything die he was making sure to watch everything and everyone as closely as he could to absorb it all

Success of finding the snitch had not been granted to Stanley. He fel as though his genie in the lamp was only full of bad luck and no good would ever happen to him when he needed it. In every game he had played on the Quidditch team, they had lost miserably and Stan did not want to be the bad juju that caused the downfall of his house.
Although his spirits weren't high, Stanley had to persevere and could not throw away the game because of mere predications from his mind. His one job was to find and catch the snitch and Stanley planned to fulfil the job criteria in at least one game he played.

Doing a penalty worthy maneuver had its exciting elements as it was but there was part of Atlas that felt a bit defeated for having been caught. While she didn't plan on making cheating a habit, she wasn't going to completely ignore the possibility if it could save the game. Blatching seemed to have become a bit of a staple in Quidditch, so why shouldn't she take advantage of it?
But that was an ethical debate for another time. For now, Atlas just needed to finish her damn lap as quickly as possible. She needed to get back in the game quickly to give her team as good a shot as possible. Leaning down on her broom, Atlas picked up as much speed as she could manage. The other team's seeker was still in the game but thankfully they hadn't snatched the snitch yet. There was still time to even the odds but Atlas knew they would need to move quickly. As soon as she finished the lap she would reenter the fray. As she flew, she made sure to keep her head locked on the action as she began to devise her next move. Her team was counting on her and luckily the lap would be relatively short. As she finished, Atlas felt eager to make her presence felt.

Ami smiled grimly as Rosie returned her to her broom, quickly scrambling on and grabbing the familiar grip of her bat. "Thanks, Ro," she mumbled, still winded from the impact of the bludger. "Tallyho!" Slapping her cheeks a few times to get her head back into the game, Ami swung her bat in a few practice swings. "Right as rain..." she mumbled to herself with a wicked grin. "Right as rain." Gryffindor had no idea what was coming to them.

-As the game entered its final stages, it appeared that Gryffindor would not give up on the Quaffle just yet. Although Anastasia and Rafael were preoccupied with their own strategic actions, Haley would break off from the pack, diving towards the unclaimed Quaffle. In a show of grace and talent, the Gryffindor would scoop up the leather ball, shooting towards Hufflepuff’s unguarded hoops and sending it flying through. The bell would ring over the stadium, announcing ten points for Gryffindor.
On a high from her success, Haley would chase the Quaffle down once more and snatch it out of the air. But perhaps she was overconfident-- unease would wash over the girl as she drew her arm back, a sense of deep unsurety. This time, the ball would fly far and wide from the hoops. She would dive for the Quaffle once more in an attempt to make up for the missed goal, but the unsettling feeling would stay with her in her third attempt at the ball, and it would slip out of her hands shortly after she gained possession.BEATERS + CHEATERS

[EVELYNN saved by RAFAEL.]The Beaters were having a field day, with player after player becoming victims of their iron bludgers. Kage would take the first shot, showing no mercy against Ami, who had just managed to recover her own broom and was still recovering from her previous brush with a bludger. A short-lived reunion between girl and Nimbus, Kage’s aim would prevail over Ami’s best attempts at evasion, and the girl would be sent flying from her broom. Once again flying to her captain’s rescue, Rosie would land Ami safely on the back of her broom. The two were becoming very familiar with each other in the sky.
Continuing their feared double-team attacks, Gryffindor’s Griseldis would take the same action as her teammate, locking eyes on Ami-- and by proximity, Rosie. Drawing back her bat, Gris would swing it forward to send a vicious attack flying towards the Badgers with intimidating precision. A collision seemed imminent, yet with not moments to spare, Rosie maneuvered her broom out of the path of the iron ball. The sound of death on a iron platter wooshing past mere inches from the pair might haunt their dreams.
Not one to pass up a chance at retaliation, Ami would swing at a bludger of her own, sending it where it would hurt Gryffindor the most: their seeker. The iron ball would fly towards its target with incredible aim and force, but Evelynn and Anastasia were an evasive force to be reckoned with. Soaring through the air, the duo would twist and turn, giving Ami’s aim a run for its money. But while Evestasia refused to go down easily, Hufflepuff’s Beaters had no sympathy for the Gryffindor duo. Quinn, too, would strike an iron bludger with muscles of steel, sending the ball of terror whizzing towards the broom-sharing buddies. The pair showed great prowess attempting to evade one bludger, but two was more than any player could handle. Although only clipped by Ami’s bludger, jarring but not quite unseating them, they were met with the full force of Quinn’s blow with not a hope of hanging on. Within moments of impact, both Gryffindors found themselves tumbling towards the ground, but neither girl would taste the dirt just yet. Rafael and Akari had been standing by for just this reason, and Anastasia and Evelynn, respectively, would find themselves of the back of their teammates’ brooms.
But Hufflepuff, sensing the end of the game was near, was pulling no punches, sending another illegal attack towards Gryffindor’s Seeker. Atlas would show no remorse as she edged closer and closer to Evelynn and her ride, eventually colliding and sending Evelynn falling once more. The poor girl couldn’t catch a break, although she remained in slightly better shape than Akari as Rafael only had room for one more on his broom and prioritized, saving Evelynn from the fate Akari would suffer just moments later.
“That’s a penalty lap, Reid! Blatching!” The announcement screamed out, and Atlas would be sent on yet another lap of shame around the pitch.SEEKERS

-While the competition was busy playing hot potato with their Seeker, Stanley would not lose focus on the end goal, the prize, the sweet taste of victory. Scouring the sky for a scant glimpse of the snitch, the devoted Hufflepuff Seeker would be rewarded for his hard work. There, standing out in relief against the grey sky, would be a glint of gold and the soft flutter of wings. The chase was on.
Meanwhile, Evelynn, being tossed around the pitch like a ragdoll, never lost sight of the elusive snitch or her own priorities. In the face of bludgers and blatches from all sides, and with what seemed like no regard for her own safety, Evelynn and her ride would send the broom into a steep dive, blind to all but the glint of victory that was in sight, so close. Faster and faster she would approach the snitch, locked on her target, until… it was over. The snitch was safely wrapped in her fingers. It was hers, and victory was theirs. Not moments after Hufflepuff got a taste of hope, Gryffindor had won the match.SCORE
