Faye had been there for a while now, in the library that is. In the farthest table in the room hidden behind the dusty bookshelves. She wondered what time it was as the bustling had died down considerably. She didn't really want to check as she had just finished the next chapter of her basic potions book, and was about to start on the last one. Of course she hadn't practiced any of them yet, but she figured to pass she at least needed to be familiar with the procedures and the amounts needed to create each potion. The ticking of a clock could be heard throughout the library. Sighing Faye gets up from the table and does a few stretches before sitting back down figuring out the formula to even begin this last potion as it was a beginners for the 2nd edition of the potion book for second years. Tck tck tck the sound gets louder and louder as the area continues to get brighter Alright first year, I know your back here so come on out it's past curfew! I will not have you hiding out in here just to avoid bed. The voice of an old lady resonates off the books. One minute ma'am, I'm almost finished with this problem. Faye says in a hushed tone after all it is the library and after hours she doesn't need points docked so soon in the school year. You're a Ravenclaw aren't you? the librarian asks as she turns around the corner. Yes ma'am I'm sorry I'm in here so late; I just want to be prepared for my classes. Faye whispers and the old lady nods Stay as long as you need sweetie. The sweet old librarian says and stalks off, leaving Faye to put up her potions book and pull out her Hogwarts history book.

-Faye, A student at Hogwart's wizarding school.

Nora was tossing and turning in bed for hours before she gave a frustrated sigh. It was hard to sleep in a new place and even harder to even relax when she knew how much homework she had to do. Finally she sat up reluctantly with her hair scattered in a mess from her rolling around. She pulled it back and used the black hair tie around her wrist to tie it back into a messy bun before throwing her covers off of her, lazily placing her bare feet on the cold stone floor.

She shivered and her blue hues gazed out her stained glass window to see the moon just barley a sliver in the dark sky outside while she moved to the front of her foot board to her chest. She pulled out her black robes and got dressed, picking up her books and hugging them to her chest while she slipped on her black flats. She figured there was no harm in getting some of her work done early and she headed downstairs to the Library on the Fourth Floor, her footsteps echoing softly in the stillness of the castle halls. It was strange to see the school so quiet, it was a change from the hectic crowding she often times tried to avoid as everyone shuffled to their classes during the day. It made her wish there was an option for night classes.

Nora noticed the Library was open although dark and as she entered she was met by an elderly woman with a lantern that almost scared the life from Nora. She jumped and must have startled the woman as well because she let out a small cry and her free hand went to her chest. "AH! Oh.....My dear you gave me a fright!" Nora exhaled and laughed nervously. "You gave me bit of a scare me-self Ma'am. I'm sorry, I didn't know if anyone was going to be here this late, is it alright if I get some of me homework done here? I can't seem to sleep." Nora spoke sheepishly, her Irish accent thick and she wondered if many other students were up as late as she was.

"Certainly my dear, remember to stay away from the Restricted Area. You are not the only one it seems who can not sleep, fair warning there is another student studying as well so you do not startle her or get startled again yourself." The woman smiled warmly before returning to her rounds and Nora nodded, finding her way to the back of the Library where there were a few empty tables down each of the aisles of books. It was the first time Nora had been to the Library and she was taken away by the beautiful woodwork as well as the amount of material it had.

Nora loved to read and as she took a seat and organized her books to her left while opening her notes to her right, she smiled some. "I will have to come here more often." She mumbled to herself before speaking a louder whisper. "I do not know if you are near but I am here studying as well, I did not want to surprise you like I did the poor woman making rounds." She did not know if the other student could hear her, but she didn't want to risk scaring anyone else.

"Everything I touch soon is taken and rots away.....it is best to stay as far away from me as you can....don't walk...run from me screaming..you'll live longer that way."
