Cade would glance towards Juniper with a curious air, keen on helping her with Ribbit's training. But as she showed him her paper bag of crickets he recalled that he too had brought frog treats in the form of night-crawlers. Setting Bartles in the grass carefully, Cade would dig into his bag for the small jar of worms. "That's the trouble isn't it? Knowing when to reward your pet is a key factor in training. But you're right, I dunno that frogs and dogs are too similar in terms of obedience. But I'd assume to be a witch or wizard's familiar they'd have some useful capabilities." Cade would eye Bartles doubtfully, the frog still sat languidly in front of him. His bulging black eyes regarding the young Ravenclaw wizard, Cade was quite sure there wasn't even a brain within Bartles' frame.

But then the girl took notice of Bartles too and she cooed at him. Cade's brown eyes would flit back to glance at the first year. Cade would open his mouth to answer the question but another girl came to join their makeshift group. "Hi, yeah there's space here for you. Oh and, this is Bartles and I'm Cade, Ravenclaw. I never actually asked what gender Bartles is, but I always assumed he is a boy. He's useless, but he's great company." Cade found a way to answer both girls, feeling quite pleased that Bartles was getting so much attention.

Cade would watch Mittens somewhat amused that the cat seemed unmotivated. "How do you do, Mittens?" Cade would reach forward to allow Mittens to take his scent, then continue to scratch her neck. "What will you teach Mittens to do?" Cade asked, finally returning to Bartles who curiously seemed to reach the jar of worms while Cade was distracted. And hastily, Cade would scoop him back into his hands.

Note: @Antoinette Asteria | @Juniper Kelly Bartles disposition is completely slow (it took him a month to realize he had been adopted) But Cade is attempting to teach the little toad how to tap dance. Though, it's not going well so far.

Annie smiled around at the group, relieved to find herself with like-minded people. All were friendly and welcoming, and so she settled herself somewhere in between, while Mittens decided to roll over and show off her fluffy belly. Annie giggled and picked up a fallen leaf from the ground for Mittens to play with.

”It’s nice to meet you, Clair,” she said with a big smile. She was feeling especially happy today. ”I’m Antoinette, but everyone just calls me Annie. Well done!” She added enthusiastically, as Sandy sat on command. She watched, very impressed as Clair guided Sandy to jump. She’d never seen a cat so obedient before!

Mittens had begun to chew on the leaf, so Annie gently pulled it away and began to interest her in a ball instead. She took another look at the people around her. ”It’s nice to meet you – Bartles, Cade, Ribbit Browney Jr -” She giggled. That last one was a funny name, and she wondered what it was that made him so silly. She was very curious to see what kind of things their froggy friends could do.

Annie squinted at the tiny frog as Cade gestured to Bartles. ”He is very cute,” she remarked. ”I think he looks like a boy too.” She turned to look at Ribbit Browney Jr and Juniper again, only to find the Juniper’s face fall. Annie followed her gaze and saw her least favourite person at Hogwarts, so far. Cody was coming to join. Clair seemed to have noticed too and looked as happy as Annie did. Great. Just what she needed. Well, she’d just ignore him. He couldn’t make a fuss if she didn’t acknowledge him, right? Her eyes trailed over to another girl who had been watching the fun; it was the girl she had met on the train. It was Lizzy! ”Lizzy!” Annie called, waving back and beaming. ”Come join!”

She returned her attention back to Mittens, who was introducing herself to Cade. ”She likes you,” Annie said sweetly, though that was hardly a surprise. Mittens was a very friendly cat, and Annie was awfully sad that Mittens didn’t belong to her. She looked enviously over at Mittens' owner, who was still buried deep in their homework. Well, Annie would enjoy the time they had together, at least. ”I’m not sure,” she replied to Cade, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. ”Do you know what you’re going to teach Bartles?” After a moment’s pause, Annie added triumphantly, ”wait, I know!” Grabbing the ball in one hand, and a treat in the other, Annie lifted them both, just above Mittens’ head.

”Come on, girl, reach up!” It took a bit of coaxing, but after a few tries, Mittens reached up on her hind legs and took the treat. ”Good girl, Mittens!” Annie said, giving her a tickle under the chin and a right old fuss. ”Maybe if I keep doing that, eventually she’ll learn to balance on her hind legs and take the ball too! Not too much though – I don’t want to strain her back legs.”

Uh oh. She glanced to Juniper, who’d she just overheard make a comment to Cody. This didn’t sound good.

Loki is a intelligent feline that is quite stubborn and does things when he wants to, the feline has trust issues so its a challenge for him to trust others but he does like to be around other animals including small ones such as toads, rodents, and so on....

Samantha loved the idea of training her pet, so when she heard about the training session, she quickly wrote it down. She had wanted to teach Amenadiel, her perfect little owl, to sit on her shoulder for a while now. But she had been really busy with school, friends and the dueling club.

On top of that, this was the perfect occasion to show everybody her amazing pet. She had gotten him for her birthday a little over two months ago, so she hadn't showed him to many people yet. Amenadiel was perfect and deserved the spotlight, so that was what he was going to get today. Samantha would show him to everybody and they would all love him, she was sure of it.

She had put her hair in a ponytail, so it would be easier for her little owl to sit on her shoulder. Her hair was the only part of her outfit she had thought about. The rest of her outfit looked like she had just randomly picked out of her closet, which was exactly what had happend. Samantha had never been into fashion and her outfits reflected that. Today she was wearing a simple green sweater, dark blue jeans and a yellow jacket.

As Samantha hurried to the grounds Amenadiel, who was flying, followed her. The small brown owl didn't want to come with his owner at first, he had wanted to sleep. It was only when Samantha had showed the food he would get, that the little owl followed his owner. Food was one of the only ways to get Amenadiel motivated to do anything.

When Sam saw the group of students she quickened her pace, she hoped she wasn't late. She hated being late. Samantha saw that somebody had made an obstacle course, it looked really cool, but sadly she wouldn't be able to use it. Amenadiel would easily fly over everything.

Samantha approached the group of students, while Amenadiel was still flying a couple meters back. She recognized some of the students. One of them was Juniper, the girl that had been on fire. Also one of the older boys looked familiar to Samantha, she wasn't sure of his name, maybe it was Harry? No, it was Henry! She remembered, they had met over a half year ago and had made some flower crowns together. And lastly there was an other duellist from Ravenclaw, whose name Samantha didn't know.

The young girl hoped with all her hart that none of the students had a spider as pet. If any spider would come near Samantha she would go crazy. She feared spiders more then anything, so it was best for anybody who had a spider not to come near her with it. She would probably try to hurt the spider or run away.

"Hi guys!" she said cheerfully, after Henry had told Cody that they wanted to have fun. She quickly scanned the pets, hoping that nobody had a spider. There were a couple of cats, some frogs or toads, Samantha didn't really know the difference between frogs and toads, and a rat. Nobody had an owl, which made Sam happy, because now her owl was even more special.

Samantha turned to Juniper, "I see you aren't on fire today, I am very proud of you." She said with a big grin on her face.

Adelaide wasn't the biggest animal fanatic. Sure, she loved animals, especially cute fluffy animals, but she wasn't obsessed with them. Although, when she had heard about the pet training day happening on the grounds, she knew she had to attend. Her choice of outfit, a dress, probably wasn't the smartest choice for the weather, but she hoped she wouldn't get too cold. The blonde had yet to have a pet of her own, but she knew there would probably be animals to borrow and train there. Once reaching the grounds, she saw a group of other students already there and training their pets. She walked over to a girl who was holding a cat, "Hey, do you mind if I borrow your cat for a bit to train?" The girl agreed and told Adelaide the cat's name, Misty. It was a fairly cute name. Adelaide gave the girl and quick smile before grabbing the cat and bringing it over to the group of students.

She didn't originally recognize any of the students, but once she got closer, horror struck as a familiar face came into view. Lizzy Solace. Someone Adelaide definitely did not want to see. She sent a glare Lizzy's way before putting her cat down on the ground, "Alright, let's start simple, shall we? Sit!" The cat stared at her in confusion, "Uh, okay. Again. Sit, Misty. Please?" Instead of sitting, the cat ran over to Lizzy. Seriously? How did this cat get 'run over to a girl I really don't want to talk to right now' out of 'sit'? She begrudgingly followed Misty, "You." She said once she got close to Lizzy, "What are you doing here? Criticizing how people train their pets?" To everyone else who heard, her comment would not make any sense, but Lizzy would understand. She knew it was quite a pathetic jab, and not at all mature, but she just couldn't help herself. The very sight of the girl sent her blood boiling.

Adelaide picked up Misty again once Lizzy was done petting her. "I gathered you would be training a pet. But honestly, I'm surprised you can go a minute without giving unwanted advice to someone." She knew everyone around them would likely be very confused about what they were talking about, if they were listening enough to care. "Don't pretend to know me," she glared at Lizzy, "If I didn't like cute, fluffy animals, I wouldn't be holding a cat right now, would I?" She petted Misty's head affectionately as the cat meowed in content. Was it stupid of Adelaide to keep talking to Lizzy, despite knowing that this could quickly turn into another argument with a group of people and a prefect around? Yes. Adelaide didn't exactly know why she felt the need to even talk to Lizzy, she was originally planning on simply ignoring her until Misty had betrayed her and had walked towards Lizzy.

She raised an eyebrow at Lizzy as the girl gave Adelaide a tight smile and turned around, it was then that Adelaide noticed the boy that she guessed Lizzy had directed the creepy smile at. A really, really small boy. "Oh, I see what's happening here. You're planning on bullying him, aren't you? I saw that creepy smile you did, which by the way, didn't really look that evil." A slight lie, Lizzy's 'evil smile' did actually look quite evil, but Adelaide wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of telling her that. "At least pick on someone your own size, he's like 2 feet." Also a slight exaggeration, he wasn't that small. He was probably a part-goblin, if Adelaide had to guess.

"That's not really my problem though, do have fun." She stepped away slightly from Lizzy, although still in earshot because she was honestly slightly curious how this little exchange between Lizzy and the boy was going to go. She set Misty back down, "Alright Misty. Sit." To her delight, Misty sat. "Good girl! See, that wasn't so hard, was it?"

Well, this rat was useless. He returned it to the owner and bid him farewell. He grinned as he thought about his big owl.

It was rather simple, as Cody could await forever. He had a "secret" that he was about to reveal. No one wanted him around? Fine. But how would Darksea Wolfspider Nevermore Oak Stevenson respond if Cody wasn't able to groom it.

Well, he would've chosen a spider but they were too aggressive, so Cody backed off.

"DARKSEA WOLFSPIDER NEVERMORE OAK STEVENSON! I NEED YOU!" Cody would call out, waiting by the window. He was going to show off his owl, the Morepork breed.

Lizzy was calling after him. Oh shit. Cody didn't like her. She was like a demon's spawn to her. She was awful. Too good natured. Even Cody was surprised that Juni wanted to be near her. Cody felt like he was going to burn his skin off if he was going to interact with someone who loved kindness over all.

"No. No- Liz- Lizzy. No, I don't need anything. No. Bye." Cody's wide eyes were shown, perhaps Cody really was afraid of her.

"DARKSEA WOLFSPIDER NEVERMORE OAK STEVENSON. I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW! NOW! NOW! GET YOUR FEATHERY BUTT OVER HERE!"

Ok, maybe Cody was perhaps... a little agressive towards Darksea, but did that matter? Hell no. He loved Darksea with all his heart, and Darksea was only three years old, and was born on the same day as Cody. Not the same year of course. But Darksea was an owl that made Cody feel connected to it.

He turned to Juniper, remembering her tone towards him. He decided to shoot back, well, a rather stupid comment. "It's not like your frog is learning much. All he seems to know is how to croak or jump. Maybe threaten to make frog legs out of him?" Cody sneered, his face seeming like it was mocking her.

Of course, Cody would've left, but he didn't care about fun. As long as he got his form of fun, which was igniting Chaos, well, sometimes it was accidental. "Sure Henry. But I'm not leaving this room."

Oh, Lizzy had her evil smile on her face. Bull. This was horrible. Was Cody really going to leave? No. He was going to stand where he was. He deserved the spot, and the so called crown that he gave himself. It was almost as if he was Jughead from the Archie comics, except that he had a lot more desire for chaos rather than to be calm and resilient.

"Listen Lizzy. Let's settle this elsewhere, alright? How about tomorrow, in the Great Hall? We can have our little duel, and the winner gets the other person's prized possession. If you'll agree to it, I'll throw in my prized possession in the "pot." My grandmother's necklace. I sure hope I win though, because it has been in the Stevenson family for quite a few generations, dating back to the middle ages." Cody said, trying his hardest to not influence so much chaos in that room. He really believed that he would be a positive figure today, well, not positive, but also not negative. He was going to be neutral, whether people liked it or not.

Of course, the boy still got ticked off if anyone were to be cruel to him, or say something that pissed him off. By this time, Darksea Wolfspider Nevermore Oak Stevenson has arrived. Perhaps the part goblin should've gave him a nickname.

He whistled, using his tongue touching the roof of his mouth, and his lips being pinched together, he called the owl over to him. "Sit." The owl sat on his shoulder. "Good boy. Shall w-"

He listened once the mention of a tiny boy who was going to be bullied hit his ears. Surely Adelaine wasn't talking about him! And she was already on his list of enemies. Enemies don't stand for other enemies. Do they? If they did, Cody was living his life all wrong!

"WAIT. ADELAINE. WHY DID YOU DEFEND ME? I LITERALLY HAVE MY LIST OF ENEMIES WITH ME. AND YOU DEFENDED ME... kinda. Why?" Cody asked, exclaiming with full emotions.

"Alright Darksea. Shall we learn a fun new command?" The part goblin said, sneering at Lizzy, although he slightly cowered as he looked at her. "Lets learn the siccing command."

Well, he wasn't actually going to do that. His owl was NOT going to murder anyone. At least, not today. Truly, that had to be understandable. If there was any reaction from Lizzy according to that statement, Cody would act as if he was truly going to teach that owl how to sic her.

He faced towards the owl, whispered softly, out of earshot from Lizzy, "I'll throw a treat over there. Just go fetch it and fly back."

With that, he threw a handful of garden spiders, dead of course, over right next to Lizzy, and watched the owl flap his wings by Lizzy, start pecking at the spiders, and fly back to Cody's shoulders. "Good boy. I love you so much Darksea!"

If there were any concerns at all, Cody would be listening, but it didn't mean he would have any feelings about it.
